I havent found a supermarket like La Bonita in NC before now! The best comparison is Vista Markets in El Paso, TX.La Bonita is just as good! The tortillas are freshly made in store and I love buying containers of salsa here too. Havent tried the baked goods yet but thats next on my list. Great selection of Mexican candy as well.

Great selection of freshly made Hispanic foods and products locally. Very clean setting, places like this tend to be dingy but this place isnt, but its also brand new so hopefully it stays that way. They have a very nice meat department and I saw tortillas being made and packaged at the bakery. Very nice that I dont have to drive all the way to el toro to get things like this now.

This place is great ! My son showed me and i love all the varieties of good they have. but can anyone tell me what is the marinade that they use on the marinated meats I will need to find it I love it and I would like some on hand please let me know and thanks

Been going for years . They were in a smaller building which was nice but this market has everything 😍 Its bigger with more food to choose from and they also have your raw meats that you can cook yourself. Raw vegetables, fruits and everything in between.They have beautiful party cakes to choose from and homemade corn tortillas still warm . If you havent been you are definitely missing out . Happy shopping

This place is a Spanish market and seemed to have everything including Pinatas. There is a little area in the back that was marking fresh food to buy. I saw chicken and frosty drinks. The items were written in Spanish so I dont know what they were. There was a lot of customers in the store.

La Bonita has grown and moved to a bigger building, but it feels just as crowded as the original location. That is both a good thing and a bad thing. You would expect a bigger building to have more space for easier shopping. Instead, they use the extra space to put more things in, such as shelves and machinery, which is good from a business standpoint. However, the homey and traditional Mexican feeling of the first location is kept through the same theme of tight spaces, good music, and the buzz of human activity. Personally, the new location seems foreign and a bit industrial to me, but overall, a great place to shop for quality Mexican food and goods. I will not bother to do a Spanish translation, simply because I dont have the energy to do so.

Amazing little grocery store. Every is very nice even if you cant speak Spanish. All the food I get from here is always so delicious, I love their chorizo!

Love to buy my Carne for grilling here, already seasoned. They have everything I need to feel like Im having a plate from my Moms house.

Lots of interesting and new (to me!) products to try here. They have a fresh meat and fish section, again with new cuts for me to try. Lingua is definitely on my next shopping list. I bought prepared (cooked) red snapper and a spicy smelling spatchcocked chicken to try. Cant wait for dinnertime!

The food was old. the rice was dry, the chili wings were tough and the ribs overcooked, the young woman who served me got upset every time I order. It was my first and last time.

Ive been going to La bonita for years. Now they have raised their prices way too high! Theyre ripping people off. Never going again

Its a great store all around. We especially love the fruits and vegetables we dont see in traditional stores, the wide variety of meats, the fresh made Tortillas, and the baked goods.

Good bread, cakes, food, fresh meats, cheese ect. Would have givin them a 5 star review but sometimes the older ladys that work the night shift are extremely rude. Very clean wish they didnt run out of bread so fast.😫

I enjoy going to get carnitas to make 🌮s. The horchata and pupusas are good aswell. Fresh tortillas are a plus aswell.

Great selection of products. Expanded from the small store in the strip mall on main street. The employees and owner are very friendly and always willing to help answer questions. Contrary to what previous posters have said, the employees and the customers do wear masks and there is a hand sanitizing station at the front entrance.

This shop has come a long way in following mask wearing guidelines, since its mandatory now. There are still far too many people inside the building at any given moment. I hope theyll open their new building sometime soon to alleviate that issue.

It was my first time there and I was overwhelmed but in a good way. I wish I spoke Spanish though!🤣 The bakery is amazing! You grab a metal tray and tongs and pick out what you want. They have amazing salsas and chips just like the kind you get in the restaurant! I cant wait to go back. The place is small and a lot of customers, so be prepared for that, but its such a great place to shop. Next time I go Im going to check out the butcher shop!

This is my favorite store. They have fresh meat, all kind of cooked meat and fresh juices. I always buy too much when we go but its so worth it to drive to Clayton!!

Service could be ALOT better. When you go in, no one says hello. You go to the counter to buy some food and there are several worker and no one asks if they can help you. I had to call someone to help me...Went today to buy some rice. They usually have it hot and ready. I go order it and the worker says its in the microwave. I tell him I want a small size, which is $3. I get home ready to eat dinner and as soon as I open it to put it on the plates, this foul odor comes from it. That smell when its been a couple of days. They SHOULD NOT be selling food that has gone bad. And on top of that, I called to let them know, the rice smells bad, it should not be sold. Dont want anyone else to buy something they will not use. I call the girl on the phone answers hello, I asked if I was calling La Bonita and she said yes. I told her what happened and she tells me to hold on she will pass me to someone else, waited 5mins on the line, on hold. Then they hang up on me...Very bad service. MAKE SURE YOU SMELL THE HOT FOOD TO MAKE SURE IT HAS NOT GONE BAD.

The food is always terrible. I’ve given this place a chance and returned several times with my husband and family and every time it’s the same thing. It doesn’t matter what we order, our food is always dry, old, stale, and tasteless.

This is a small Mexican store that has a bakery, meat store and hot & ready to go food. Love their carnitas, chicharron, Roasted chicken, tacos, popusas, etc. Delicious!!!
