For such a small place, they make very authentic tacos! Its a little convenience store that also has a kitchen to order out (or you can eat it outside if youd like for a quick bite). You can also find a few products from Mexico. I decided to try their Al Pastor and Carnitas tacos. The lady was very nice. I would definitely recommend the food.
Great place to get a great taco or pupusa to go. I really liked the chile relleno special as well.
The best tacos that I’ve had in a long time. Very nice people.
Great food me and my brother would always get at least 3 tortas they are really good and they are nice people
Some of the best Spanish food this side of the Mississippi.
I love this place. I come every time I come see my cousin. Best tacos every.
We all fly by these corner country stores on the highways of this great state, and often times when circumstances allow you can stop and have a pleasant surprise. Las Carolinas is where you stop because fresh warm corn tortillas are calling to you, where tender perfectly spiced pork awaits a chance to be wrapped up with salsa and pico in that warm tortilla, all dripping slightly into your hand. Thats no secret that the first bite is often the most amazing, but the sign of a good taco is when you hate to take that last bite, and sit there wondering to yourself if you can eat another one!If you decide to go because you want convenient seating, and designer surroundings, and interpretive menus, then you may be disappointed. This place is not for show. This place is for your taste buds, not your eyes. Go there order a couple of tacos, enjoy! I always recommend carnitas, or pastor as a great starting point, And those did not disappoint.Service at the front desk was polite, The gentleman was willing to explain what was in an option that I was not familiar with, and even suggested a special option thats not on the menu, something like a secret menu! The ladies at the grill smiled and seemed attentive and pleased that they could provide good food for their customers.
The best tacos in the area. Get the pastor and beef tongue.
We will DEFINITELY be coming back. It feels really authentic I guess you could say. The place, the decor, the people... It was like we had traveled to some place really pleasant 😊 And the food was Delicious!!!!
This little gem has the most authentic Latin food around. By far better than ANY restaurant of its kind in the area. It’s like a good truck without wheels!
For Angela Morton the place was sold at the time you went. It was recently bought back by the previous owner Sonia. I worked here before it was sold and I loved it. I loved my customer and I loved knowing that we were selling great food and many people were happy. However after the place was sold it was turned to an unauthentic place they no longer made tortillas by hand they started using machine made ones. I hated working here after it was sold and was glad to leave. It didnt work out for the new owner so it was sold back. You should go back and give it a try again. Sonia and the cooks are great they all came back. I however found moved away but trust me ive been craving their food for the longest time.
Im being here a few times and everything was fine with the food and customer service until today, they went after us saying we didnt pay for the food!! And of course we did... Never come back again!!
Great pupusas spot in clayton and raleigh area. Service good and great price for the amount of food. Delicious, hot and great dessert items in fridge too.
I cant believe Ive lived in this area, pasted this place everyday for over 20 years and never tried it. MOST AMAZING, AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD IN THE AREA! HANDS DOWN! SOMBREOS UP! I CANT QAIT TO GO BACK. HAD BEEF TACO, FRIED PORK, AND CHORIZO TACOS. $2.00 EACH VERY FILLING
Great althanic Mexican food. And the best 2$ tocos ever!!
Excellent Mexican food and customer service! Give it a try #supportlocalbusiness.
My husband & I love mexican food so when we saw this place, and their posters on the outside we were really excited. Walking up what they were grilling smelled fantastic! Being from San Diego I ordered their California burrito, which wasnt exactly how I expected, but it was just okay. My husband got carnitas tacos, again just okay. I asked for a bean & cheese burrito for my picky kids-it wasnt on the menu but they said they could do it. They charged me around $6 for that burrito. For those 3 things my total was $27! I was willing to give it a shot anyway thinking the food would have been amazing but it was some of the worst mexican food Ive ever tasted. I wouldve given it at least another star but the cashier was rude. I wont be going there again.
Hands down the best food Ive tasted. By los angeles standards they can easily make it to the top. This is restaurant is a must if ur in town. Small shop and cheap for the quality
Best, authentic, Mexican food around. Hands down.
Great food, friendly people!
Love this place! Any time I need a little sabor de Mexico- this is my local go-to. Tacos al pastor are great as are the lengua, chorizo, and everything else on the menu. Not as cheap like you would expect a few tacos to be but worth it ($2/taco). They always do me right and serve them with roasted chile and onion, and you know youve found a keeper when youre the only gringo in the place.
