Shelves were nearly empty, registers werent working right so I couldnt use my card, and what the hell kind of a parking lot is this? Trying to get out of the lot is like solving a puzzle; there are 2 entrance-only drives and you have to go down a back alley to leave. Ridonkulous! Walgreens is always a last resort for me.
Do not go to this pharmacy for a vaccine or to purchase drugs. I waited in line patiently for an hour because I was not checked in properly by the technician. There is no semblance of organization and customers are often told to wait in a variety of haphazard, ad hoc lines for long periods of time. Also, there is almost no signage telling customers what to do or where to go. The signage that is there seems to be incorrect or misleading. I will not be going back.
The pharmacists at this location are excellent, but the support staff could use an attitude adjustment. They also have some competence issues, which I believe would be easier to tolerate if they were not so unpleasant.
I called this pharmacy and made arrangements with a pharmacist to compound my prescription for me and have it ready to pickup by 7 PM. 30 min later I was called by the pharmacy manager, saying the med could not be made by their pharmacy. When I told the supervisor that the other pharmacist was already compounding it, she called me a liar and told me there was no way I had spoken to anyone at her pharmacy. SHE CALLED ME A LIAR!!! Later I got a call from the first pharmacist saying it was ready for pickup and apologizing profusely, but NEVER got an apology from her supervisor. I hope I never have to return to this pharmacy.
You have to wait 12 minutes on the phone go get hung up on twice, and 30 minutes in line to just have to wait even longer to get your prescription ready. Absurd
Worst pharmacy in St. Louis, extremely slow, understaffed, rude. Use anyone but this place!
I had knee surgery this week, and the prescription for painkiller was sent to this Walgreens store. 2 days later, they had not billed it. I called and asked what was going on and they told me that the hospital had used an incorrect DEA number to order the prescription. I checked with the hospital who told me that a resident had called in the order and they had told the resident they needed to write a profile on him. This is a bunch of baloney. When I talk to the pharmacy today they were still sticking to the DEA number problem, which does not appear to be true. I have to keeping me on hold for a while they told me they thought they could get the prescription out in 2 hours. Seeing as they had sat on this for two days, I was a bit of a loss of why they could not throw it faster. I made the excuse that they were visit very busy. I pointed out to them that knee surgery is a very painful process and it doesnt make it easy to wait. Theyre poor response to this order is severely disappointing and I will not come back to the store again.
This place used to be great, but its a hot mess now. I scheduled an appointment for a flu shot, arrived, and there are no signs directing where to go, so I waited in line for the pharmacy. While waiting, they sent a patient over from the drop-off window and told her to go in front of me! Then I finally get to the counter and get told to go to the drop-window. I do so, the not-friendly tech gathers my name and DOB, hands me a form, and tells me to fill it out and go back to pharmacy. So I wait in line again behind about 7 people, fill out the form that I had already filled out online, then wait for my flu shot. The pharmacist says not two words the whole time shes administering the shot, then send me on my way. While all this was going on, the intercom kept repeatedly calling for customer service help for photo. I needed to buy a couple of things, waited in a line that stretched all the way across the store while Mike (the single redeeming factor of this location, bless him) is calling for all cashiers to the front and one eventually shows up.In addition to this, I had put in a prescription request at 9:30am and received notice at 2:40 that they needed to contact my doctor, so I had to come back the next day to pick that up, and only after I called the doctor myself and found out theyd never gotten a request. Im also still waiting for the flu shot info to be sent to my doctor.Add in the nightmare of a parking lot setup, and thats how you help CVS recruit new customers.
A pharmacy technician names Shanay told me it would be 15 minutes for my prescription if I waited and that my name would be called when it was ready. After 30 minutes, I asked if my prescription was ready and they said they were finishing up. After an hour, they never called my name so I went up and checked. Turns out it was ready but they never called my name. It was overall a bad experience :(
I do not understand how this company exists. Sky high prices on everything and MEDICINE is by far the worst. Im 35 years old and when I ask for cigarettes they act like I said heroin. Aside from the few nice employees there is no upside here.
The staff is nice and stuff is easy to find
This location has been generally one of the better Walgreens Ive visited and their role as a 24-hour pharmacy with responsive staff has been invaluable.I posted a negative review below and I stand by it. I dont use this Walgreens anymore because of the experience.----------I got a notification that my prescription was ready so I went in to pick it up. It was my first time using the automatic refill system. When I got there, the pharmacist said my prescription was never filled, so it wasnt ready. They went ahead and requested it for me.I came back a couple of days later. The pharmacist said my order was ready, but it was the wrong product, so the pharmacist put in an order for the correct one.I come back a couple of days later. The pharmacist said in order to run it through insurance, I needed to go to the Drop Off window. The Drop-Off window was being used for flu shots and there was a large line.I pressed her on if theres anything she can do about it, and she says she cant because she has other customers to take care of.I moved my prescription to the Brentwood Walgreens and picked it up without any further issue. In total, it took over 10 days for me to get my insulin prescription.
The pharmacy staff customer service, at this location is horrible! Never friendly just rude attitudes.
Called ahead today to see if they had the nasal influenza vaccine (FluMist Quadrivalent) and I was told on the phone they have a stockpile. I asked if the address I had was correct, then I went there. When I arrived at the Clayton branch, they told me they had never heard of the nasal influenza vaccine, looked at me like I was cray cray, and so I left.I followed up by calling back the number I had first called, whereupon I was told the nasal influenza vaccine was discontinued (it isnt).
Understaffed. Very inefficient.
Best Walgreens in St. Louis! Mike is a local celebrity and is the best cashier and if you get a chance to see him it’s always a pleasure. Mike has been checking me out for the last 10 years and even after my move to Ladue, I’ll go out of my way just to come to this Walgreens and say hi to Mike!!
Store is fine, best part is Mike the cashier. Extremely polite, offers me coupons, and makes me laugh everytime I go through checkout. MIKE YOU ARE THE MAN!
People in the pharmacy are very untrained and impolite. They mock at customers and treat them as fools.do not go there. they make you feel bad.
Prescription not ready. That I had to walk into this dump because they dont have a pickup window or curbside was unbelievable considering employees are standing around doing nothing. Dont intend to ever use Walgreens again.
GRRRRRRR. My 82-year old mother picked up 4 prescriptions yesterday. When she got home, the prescribed One Touch Blood Pressure Monitor was instead a Glucose Monitor. The pharmacy slapped a label on it and sold it to her. Today, I took it back and was told they could not accept it back. Then they said they dont even carry blood pressure monitors in the pharmacy (just on the retail floor) so probably someone just gave us the glucose one instead. WHAT?!?!....I waited 20 minutes for the pharmacist to decide that the manager would have to refund us and they would give me the paper prescription back to take somewhere else (which they did not). Then waited another 15 as they kept paging the manager and that person NEVER showed up. I ran out of time to stand there and had to leave, without any resolution and WITHOUT ANY APOLOGY FROM ANYONE. I really, really resent the way they ignored me and the issue and now having to go back and go through it all over again. But the worst part is being treated as though I am the inconvenience, rather than the one being mistreated (and, by the way, my mother has not been able to do what the doctor told her to do in the meantime, which is measure daily and call if over a threshold blood pressure). INEXCUSABLE.
Connie was so sweet and helpful with my photos. She truly made my day better!
I’ll start by saying no one wants to be at Walgreen’s at 3 a.m. However, the night time manager was a swell guy, friendly and helpful. And if my only interaction was with him, this would have been a 5 star review. The pharmacist...he was another story. Let’s say he was a tough pill to swallow on the customer service front. Ill be back for any 24-hour non-pharmacy needs.
This is a decent drug store, with everything you would expect to find in a pharmacy. Most of their other offerings such as food and drinks are highly overpriced, though.
One of the rudest pharmacist at this location. Can’t explain the simple question about allergy medicine.
The pharmacy shouldnt tell me that my medicine is going to be ready at 1:30 and then when I get there at 2:30 they tell me to wait 15 minutes. I dont care if it takes 2 hours or a week just have it ready when you say you will.
BEST CASHIER EVER! This guy was so enthusiastic and nice. He engaged with every customer and his positive attitude made my day! If you’re going to this Walgreens, make sure to go on a wednesday night so he’ll be working!
Everything is well stocked and easy to find, staff is nice and helpful. Mike in particular is always very pleasant and eager to find discounts or coupons when I shop there.
Pharmacy is pretty much a joke. They call to say things are available, but then need 20-90 minutes to box thirty pills together. They forget to call names when scripts are ready. You’ll waste 40-50 minutes every time for renewals. If ever there were a sign to go for home delivery, it’s this pharmacy. Completely frustrating and a waste of time.
Do NOT go to this pharmacy location on Brentwood. Worst customer service. The woman who works behind the desk is completely rude. First she Ignored me while I sat in my car for five minutes and she just continued to clean the counter... then she cane to the window to help me. Rx was supposed to be ready by 8am and When I went to pick up at 9;15 iit was still not being filled. When I told her what happened she did not even apologize. She said “well I don’t know who told you that.” Sat inside right in front of her for 20 mins and walked up to see if ready. She then told me the computers were down. Why would she have me wait for over 30 mins without mentioning that and she knew I had to get to work for a meeting. But her tone and demeanor or so rude. I don’t know how she still works there.
I went in for just a few items and the gentleman at the front was so welcoming and helpful and happy! It was so refreshing! I left very happy! Thank you!
One of the worst Walgreens to go to in St. Louis. Especially if you are picking up a prescription. Dont worry about call because you will get someone from a call center who doesnt seem to know what in the hell he/she is doing and your time will be wasted!!!!
A couple of nights ago I stopped in to grab a few things for the next day. The manager checked me out at the perfume counter. For some reason the magnetic strip on my card could not be read so I asked if she could enter the numbers manually. She asked for my I.D., finished the transaction and said I should be happy I got her because only a manager could have done that. I said ok(puzzled), thanked her and left. What bothered me about this experience was her comment. She was only going to do the bare minimum. I had to suggest that she do something more. She wasnt doing me a favor nor was she going above and beyond her duties. She lacked humility and respect for her customer. I can only hope that the people she manages are not following her example.
Always a good experience. My favorite Walgreens. 24 hour service is a big plus.
Worst Walgreens in the St. Louis area. They never fill my scripts, there’s always a problem or one got filled and one didn’t, or they thought I was just dropping off and didn’t need my medication and I have to make multiple trips inside to figure out what’s going on since they don’t have a drive through. Getting photos printed here is a nightmare as well I stood there for over 10 mins while I was completely ignored until I finally called the store and got someone’s attention to avoid waiting in a long line at the regular cash register to tell someone I needed help at the photo center. Im taking my business to the CVS since there isn’t another Walgreens close by.
A very handy pharmacy for parents of Washington University college kids. We have been over here several times and the people have always been nice to deal with. The entrance and exit onto the street are a little hinky though.
Manager is worried about her food instead of her costumers complaints. Seems to be all over the place as well. Waited 5 plus minutes for a manager to even come over. The gentleman before me left because he was waiting and couldnt wait any longer. No one seems to know what to do and in need of guidance.
Best pharmacy in town. Great staff - knowledgeable and willing to help however they can
Great experience friendly staff
WOW! It was great to see you; the store mgr, and the whole location on Ellen yesterday!! Missouri is full of nice friendly people & its nice to see them on public TV!!! >:) LOL!! . . . usually its only Chicago!
My normal Walgreens prescriptions was sent to my preferred Lafayette Walgreens location; however, they closed early on Sunday. I called the Clayton location and the lovely pharmacist said she would take care of me and fill my prescription within 60 minutes no problem. This is why I used Walgreens!
Over the last two years nearly every prescription I have filled here is fake. Worst of all, they are like anyone else in this town oblivious to the counterfeit drug epidemic/war that has hit Missouri. I dont know where to turn as the drugs are fake nearly everywhere here other than some but most are headed that way. They switch your brand of your drug out every month almost automatically.
Very slow service. Not very nice staff.
Last month I needed a refill for my synthyroid. My doctor stated I should have pharmacist call his office. I changed from Dierbergs pharmacy after many years of quality service, only because I can walk to Walgreens. I had one refill remaining. The Richmond Heights pharmacy clerk said they would get a new prescription and text when it was ready. never received the text, but went to window and a refill was there. I received several message/reminders.Today I walked to store with empty bottle, no one ever called for new prescription, no one followed up with me or Dr. I could not get a refill. But worse the woman/ Tina was snippy, curt and seemed to want to blame me or my doctor for the lack of follow through. At no time did she offer to Help, advise or take care of the situation. She was capable of service because I over heard her conversation w/ a male customer, her voice was congenial, she called him honey and even smiled.I will take my business elsewhere,
I have NEVER experience a pharmacy this poorly run. NEVER. Its not a one time incident and I dont write reviews online. But after more visits than I can count on my hands and every single time having issues with the prescription, not being notified when it was ready, waiting for hours and hours on end, and then finally realizing there was a problem with it all along that we were never told about.... Its a terrible fate that we live so close...
The staff that works behind the counters at the front of the store are absolutely wonderful. They are kind, welcoming, always working hard, and go the extra mile to help. Cheers to them. Although the pharmacy staff working the counter are often very nice, accommodating, and apologetic of long wait times, I have had nothing but negative experiences with the pharmacists. They speak towards me in a manner that is condescending based on the medications I take, question me, make assumptions, and refuse to listen when issues arise. I waited an hour yesterday for them to tell me they wouldnt fill a 5 day emergency refill script my doctor had called in on a Saturday night. Apparently because it was a controlled substance (not a painkiller, not an amphetamine), they refused to fill it without the doctors specific instructions to allow them... even though the doctor had called in on a Saturday night specifically to fill a 5 day emergency script! Why would my doctor call this in if she did not intend for it to be filled immediately? After waiting over an hour, I was directed to the consultation window to speak directly with the pharmacist. She told me due to company policy, she could not fill the 5 day supply. I explained the circumstances. I understand company policy is strict, but this is at her discretion! She was quick with me and interrupted our conversation multiple times to take phone calls (Ive now been at Walgreens almost an hour and a half). When I expressed my frustration and waiting over an hour to be told this, her response was well I filled your other scripts for you. If you dont want to work with people, find a job somewhere else. I had to call back the emergency exchange for my doctor, interrupt her evening again (thank GOD for my amazing GP), and have her call back to reassure the pharmacist she did indeed want the script she called in an hour ago filled for me. It was filled with a kind apology from the nice young man working the front, and nothing but dirty looks from the pharmacist. I respect that company policies hold employees accountable and that she may have been in a bind. But, I ALWAYS speak to anyone I am interacting with with the utmost patience, kindness, and understanding that I can. I am sure the pharmacists job isnt easy. I am sure she did not want to be working on a Saturday night. But her condescending tone of voice, inappropriate questions into personal issues that are between my doctor and myself, and judgments based on the medications I take were vastly inappropriate. The fact that she watched me sit there for over an hour, and waited for me to get back in a 12 person line to have her tell me that she would refuse to fill my script, was disrespectful and lacking in human decency. Telling me this an hour previous would have saved me and my wonderful doctor a whole lot of time on a busy Saturday night. I am very disappointed in the consistently inappropriate behavior of the pharmacists (asking personal questions, making accusations, and surmising judgements based on my medications). In addition, I am consistently running into the issue of this and all area Walgreens being completely out of my common, widely prescribed prescription. These are prescriptions that can be deadly if stopped abruptly. Please leave the decisions of my doctor between my doctor and myself. I will be filing a formal complaint with corporate headquarters regarding this specific Walgreens and the pharmacists who work there, considering this is behavior I receive at no other pharmacy I frequent. I am disappointed because it is not my prerogative to oust others who may be overworked or simply following company policy. But the repeated actions of the pharmacists here are inappropriate, disrespectful and come close to breaching HIPPA laws. What goes on between myself and my doctor is between myself and my doctor. Pharmacists are not my doctor and I appreciate their care for the well-being of others but not overstepping clear-cut legal boundaries or passing mal-informed judgements based on the medications a person takes.
Dont bother getting your prescription filled here. Everything is out of stock.
Worker, her name is Andria who helped me good. She made me to come back this place. Thank you.
Mike (on register) is probably the best Walgreens employee Ive ever encountered.
This is the most poorly run pharmacy in St. Louis. The staff are inattentive and rude. The pharmacy is slow and there are never enough techs or workers to effectively clear the line at busy times. Ive stood in line for over a half hour to wait to pick up a prescription. Long fill times and when you said youd like to wait for your prescription, more often than not you get an eye-roll and an Its going to be a while. There is no drive-thru. I will never use this pharmacy again. Theyve also given me the wrong script on more that one occasion. Terrible terrible terrible. Go anywhere else.
Came to pick up after 3 hours and my medicines were not packaged. works very slowly. 7 people per shift
I could find everything I wanted and the staff are really friendly.
Close to home, has everything I need when I arrive, great local Walgreens.
I love Walgreens, but this particular store is terribly busy. Dont even bother calling...
Do not use this Walgreens for dropping off FedEx ground packages
Shanay at Walgreens Pharmacy was not very helpful..
Always timely and friendly.
This beech at the pharmacy hung up on me because my phone call broke up for two seconds after I had been on hold for 25 minutes. So I had to call back and wait on hold again. Then when asked about it they claimed they didnt/wouldnt do something like that. Liar. Beech.
Dont go here if you are in a hurry. Slow and incompetent staff in general.
Mike is the only one I have encountered at this location who is customer conscience...I only shop if he is there...I always have bad experiences when I try to go at other times.....WHY?.....Some are snobs also....
Great staff!
Staff is completely incompetent.
