Great place to work I work there great people
I ordered doors through PC Lumber was told all doors except two special order doors was in stock and would be delivered the following Friday. 8 weeks later and I still do not have numerous doors though I received the special order doors. I would not recommend using this company.
Never order a door from this company. We bought a very expensive door and it was defective. Because it was defective the glue around the door melted and the glass was about to fall out. It took several calls over a period of one year before Milliken sent someone out to put the correct pieces in the door That were missing that holds the glass in place. The rude sales person arrived 1.5 hours ahead of his appointment time and had the audacity to say he was leaving in 30 minutes if the person meeting him at my house didn’t show up. He did a shoddy job fixing the door and was a snotty smug person. If you look at the reviews our door wasn’t the only door that arrived defective. Pretty doors but awful company.
Door ordered and glass was not correct. Door returned and glass was correct, but other defects. 3 doors later, still not correct. Doors left the factory with everything from paint splashed on the glass to defective wood on the molding. Treated horrifically after having gone beyond the distance to give them a chance to make it right. Would give no stars, if possible. Would never recommend this company.
Great place. Everyone is extremely friendly and they always get it right the FIRST time!
On August 2, 2012 we purchased a Milliken Millwork Ohio Entry Door at Lowes. The cost was just over $3000. A contractor friend installed the door. All was well until winter when we noticed cold air was coming in at the top of the door and we had to push on the door to lock it. Our contractor friend said it appeared the door was warped, but we should wait until warm weather to see if anything changed. In the meantime I had to cover the top of the door with fabric to reduce the amount of cold air coming in. Once the weather was warm for a while we requested a visit from a Milliken representative. He was here this week. He informed us that fiberglass doors are known to warp and the degree of warpage was within the range of exclusion from coverage. This exclusion was not on the copy of the warranty we had. It was, however, listed on the copy of the warranty he had which was revised 4/13. He put extra weatherstripping all around the top and sides of the frame and pieces on either side of the bottom. It looks cheap. When I expressed my concerns and assured him that this was not satisfactory, the Milliken representative looked only at my husband and said, Well, Maam you do what you think you have to do. His dismissive attitude was abhorrent. I dont think Ive ever been treated so disrespectfully in my own home. And regarding his statement that fiberglass doors are known to warp... this is from the Milliken website: A new fiberglass entry door can add substantial curb appeal to your home without costing a fortune. Fiberglass is virtually maintenance free and will not warp, rot, dent or split.
Absolutely awful customer service. We contacted Lowes about our defective Miliken door at the end of October 2016. The door insert had warped and cracked and the the glue that held it in had melted, dripping down the door. Lowes put us in touch with Miliken and their rep, Stanley David, came out to look at the door. He said that it was the worst case of warping he had seen and that they would make it right. That was NINE MONTHS ago. Since then we have had countless phone calls and stories blaming the glass people, the insert people, different explanations why we couldnt get what we wanted, then we could but it would take more time and on and on. In the vast majority of these calls we had to contact Mr. David as he would say that hed check on things and call us later that day or the next which rarely happened. After EIGHT MONTHS of Mr. Davids unresponsiveness we finally asked to speak to someone in customer service and were connected with a woman named Angie. We explained the issue and she said the insert was on a shipment and she would check on it and call us back on Thursday or Friday. That was over 2 weeks ago and we still have not heard from her. How can a company operate with this abysmal level of customer service when even the customer service person doesnt respond back? I will say that weve had Miliken doors in the past and were happy with the product. My greatest complaint is not that the door was defective its that both of the individuals weve dealt with have not done what they said they would do. Simply calling back when they say they would call would have gone a long way. Obviously weve been extremely patient and understanding with story after story and explanation after explanation as we did wait 8 months to talk to customer service. I currently have a voice mail in to who Ive been told is the supervisor of customer service and am hoping to get some resolution to this issue before my next call to the Better Business Bureau. The defective door could be a fluke but the company reps and customer service is just awful.
We ordered our doors from Lowes and paid to have the interior and exterior heat painted. The door went up and in the light we noticed the interior part, which was supposed to be white was gray. Milliken came out to look at it and said that the gray is in fact their white. Lowes had failed to show us a paint swatch and assumed white was white. So Milliken is pointing finger at lowes and we are stuck with a $3,000 door that we paid to be white and will have to paint it ourselves. I would never do business with Lowes or Miliken ever again.
MILLIKEN DOORS ARE N OT WHAT THEY ARE TOUTED TO BE. THEY ARE MADE WILTH POOR CRAFTMANSHIP AND INATTENTION TO DETAIL. WE ORDERED A DOOR FOR OVER $3000 TO HAVE IT DELIVERED TWICE PAINTED INCORRECTLY. EACH PIECE OF THE DOOR AND TRIMWORK WAS A DIFFERENT SHADE. SOME OF THE PIECES WERE A VERY ROUGH FINISH. FINISH BRAD HOLES ARE VISIBLE. THE COMPANY REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE IMPERFECTIONS LET ALONE DO ANYTHING ABOUT THEM. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO PURCHASE A PRODUCT FROM MILLIKEN MILLWORK.
Great quality doors, good selection, and excellent service/hospitality
