The food was delicious! Great menu. Classic and nostalgic with a twist. Loved the cinnamon toast and scones.The staff was wonderful! Definitely will be going back.

This was my first visit since they have been under new ownership. The new look is very clean and modern. The food and service are excellent. I had the gyro with a nice mix of meat and veggies. My wife had the curried chicken croissant sandwich. Both were excellent. Our server was efficient, friendly and professional. It is nice to see they have high standards for food and service. We took home a couple of scones. They are very good.

So excited for European Cafe to finally open!!! This truly is a hidden gem in Cincinnati. They have the BEST cappuccino around. Great breakfast selection ~ my fav is the Bfast sandwich on a Blue Oven english muffin, but the coffee cake is a must try, its so delicious. Oh, I almost for got to mention the affogato, made with Aglamesis Bros ice cream.

All I can say is I hope the Allan running this has become nicer to his employees. Was horrible to watch him belittle all of them in front of everyone.

Laid back diner with fresh served food. Home fries are delicious and honestly haven’t had a bad meal there. Did I mention how good the home fries are? Highly recommend a nice, fair priced brunch meal that you eat on their outside tables. No foo-foo $9 mimosas at this place, just good homestyle food.

Love this place! Great food, quaint environment. Would have 5 stars but my waitress never came back to refill my coffee so I only had 1 cup & I was VERY thirsty! So your service may really vary depending on staff that day. Other times there has been great service. So I recommend giving it a try!

Huge bummer. I hadnt been here in a couple of years and came for the breakfast potatoes. I told the waitress I couldnt have wheat/flour and when breakfast cant the plate had breaded tater tots on it. I asked and she said they just ran out of potatoes so they subbed these. I reminded her of my allergy so they remade the rest that was covered in tots (eggs and bacon). I asked if I could sub some fruit for the toast that was included and she said yes. I got a small cup of green and orange melon. The bill showed a $3 charge for he fruit so I explained to the register lady about the sub conversation and she said (and I quote) yeah...Im not going to do anything about that.Inattentive (knew tater tots had breading And I had an allergy and ignored that, and then gave me an unexpected response. I guess I wont be back.The 2 stars is for the fabulous outdoor seating and good parking on the street.

Food was good but be aware that most items come with a big pile of ripple potato chips. The coffee was OK, but my almond joy coffee was so strongly flavored with almond flavoring that it was undrinkable. The interior is OK, but could be nicer and the it seemed understaffed. It wasnt busy when we went, but she still found it difficult to keep up with the tables. Luckily, the food did taste good and the portions were large.

Great local cafe. Nice, hearty breakfast. Decent selection and everything we had was good. We are new to the area and i tried the goetta omelet which was good. There spinach and feta omelet was also good and has a nice amount of cheese. Kids got the French toast which was tasty. Decent coffee as well. Kid friendly (we have a 3 year old and 9 month old). We will definitely be back.

I think European Cafe has the best gyros in the city. I suspect their other menu items are as good, but Ive not tried them. Excellent service, friendly staff.

This place has really good food. I went there to grab lunch one day because of that and I sat for about 10 minutes while waitresses were talking around me and noticed me but never came over to get a drink order in. I feel like I shouldnt have to ask to get service when I am obviously there to hand over money in exchange for good food. I like the place and will probably be back but I thought this was a little unacceptable so I left with an empty stomach.

So, I went for lunch one day and had a pretty good hamburger, and I tried to gyros which is some of the best Ive had. After eating that gyros, I was certain that this place was tops. I thought, hey, Ill take the girlfriend here, shell love it!Well, one afternoon I called in for their business hours that day, because they arent set online. The girl on the phone said theyll be open til 8. I took my gf there after I got off work that day and we walk up to the door at 6:15pm, expecting them to be open. NOPE. The door was locked and the high school kids working there were cleaning up shop, ignoring me as I stood at the door. If you say youre open until 8, dont close two hours earlier.What I thought was a decent place turned out to be a huge disappointment, and I have no intention of going back and would discourage anyone else from wasting their time there.Update:Ive since given this place another shot, mostly because I really like their burgers. Ive had good service during my other visits. Half the times Ive gone theyve forgotten something on my order, but that hasnt deterred me too much. I guess the lesson here is go during lunch or something when the better servers are working. Overall good food.

The European Cafe has some delicious Greek offerings. We ordered a super gyro and french toast.. The super gyro was indeed VERY super, with more meat than I knew what to do with! It was fantastic. I ended up taking half home, and I had went in hungry. My significant other highly recommends the chai latte, and the mocha was good.

The customer service is always speedy, awesome mood, very nice employees. I will eat here again when I arrive in town.

Stopped in for lunch and was thoroughly delighted. I ordered the falafel platter and it came with soft warm pita bread and hummus that was to die for. I saved the tahini salad for last and it was so light and crisp it was almost like desert. Prices were very reasonable and I dont think Ive seen better service anywhere. Will certainly be back!

Good food, we did order the super gyro, but it wasnt double the meat. But the meat was great and the salad was good. Wish they had a way to replace the chips for a salad or fries.

I recently moved to the area and am an avid coffee/espresso fan. So when I saw the European Cafe sign, I just had to pop in for lunch. From the name of the place, I was expecting traditional French or Italian cafe fare and excellent espresso.However, upon entering, I noticed that most of the menu was clearly Greek in origin. But, okay, I was hungry and I like Greek cuisine. And they offered a range of coffee and espresso drinks. So I ordered the vegetarian pita and a cappuccino.The pita was amazing, possibly the best I have ever had. But the cappuccino was terrible! It tasted like watered down coffee with a foam made from actual cream (not milk). I asked the owner if she used espresso or coffee in my drink and she assured me that it was espresso and that she made it herself. Then she proceeded to blame it on the machine. (Shes not a very cheery lady.)Having an espresso machine at home, I know that it was more likely user error (not enough coffee, too coarse a grind, not tamped hard enough, etc.) that caused a weak shot. So if you want great Greek food, you probably cant do better for the area. But if you want any kind of espresso based drink, dont be fooled by the allure of the words European Cafe, and head to the Starbucks nearby instead.

This was my second time here. The first time the service was good and food was good. Second time the service was bad. Food was okay. The deep friend pickles werent even cut... they were thick pickle pieces straight from a jar which meant the breaded part was cooked but the pickle wasnt even warm. The spanakopita was more of a spinach pancake.

I think they shut down for good. Not any sign of remodeling what so ever like the sign says on the door.

I took my mom here for brunch... She ordered an order of biscuits and gravy with a side of home fries... I got falafel gyro, home fries, and an espresso. My mom hated the biscuits and said they tasted old... I tasted and agreed there was nothing good about them. The falafel was a little overcooked and the sauce was not that great. The home fries were good though. The espresso was just okay.. nothing special. The waiter was friendly but some of the staff gathered towards the back to congregate and I overheard some cuss words here and there which I didnt particularly mind but some people would find offensive.... So something to consider if your thinking of trying this place.... All in all I will probably avoid this place in the future

Coffee was bad. I refused the crossiant it looked stale. I bought another pastry it was stale! As a French citizen I was extremely Disappointed. This place has so much potential and falls short of it’s name. Would give zero stars but it’s not an option.

The food is good and the prices are just as pleasing to the wallet.Now there has been one time that comes to mind that things were not 100% Just once out of all the times we have ordered here.But just like any other Business if you do not tell them there is a problem how can they have the chance to make it right?Before you post a Neg review Let them know and give them the chance to make it right!Not only did They make it right But they went above and beyond to Make us Happy..
