If you are getting carpet in Cincinnati go to McSwains on Beechmont and ask to work with Mr. Lee Jones. I was in the store to look at samples ONLY as we are building a home out of state and cannot purchase from McSwain. Mr. Jones went above and beyond a the while knowing I would not be purchasing from McSwain. He not only showed me the samples I wanted to see, but look up pricing allowing me to compare, and made some recommendations for alternative options. He also helped me learn more about carpets to understand various materials and the impact on wear. Mr. Jones was upfront, honest, and respectful. He clearly cares for his customers and the reputation of the store as a whole. McSwain is lucky to have him as an employee.

The McSwain installers came on time removed the old carpet quickly, put new pad down, then cut and installed the new carpet on the stairs and hall efficiently. I will use McSwain again.

Had a VERY GOOD experience with McSwain. We replaced wall-to-wall carpeting in our master bedroom with Brazilian Cherry wood. Our salesman Lee was very professional and extremely helpful in every aspect of the job. He is very knowledgeable and experienced with all types of flooring, and was very patient with us as we shopped the job; np pressure whatsoever.. He resolved all of our questions and concerns with having the job done by McSwain, and communicated very well with us as well as the McSwain team - before, during and after the job. Steve was a fabulous professional and helped me select the right flooring for my new home. I was moving from out of state, and he even contacted another flooring professional to confirm that what I saw was what he was ordering. Steve came to our house twice to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted.. He measured the rooms and figured out the best way to lay the carpet so as to minimize the waste and the cost. He had many samples with him, and we liked more than option for each room. He was very nice and gave us as much time as we wanted.

I love our new carpeting. Lee, the salesman we worked with at the McSwain location on Beechmont Av., helped find exactly the right color and density of carpet we wanted and it has a lifetime warranty! We have to have the carpet steam-cleaned every 18 months to keep the warranty in force. (No problem.) Scheduling the installation was simple and clearing out all the areas that were to be worked on was a chore, but helped us begin to reorganize the place and get rid of stuff we didn’t need.The two installers we had were very nice, they worked straight through the days it took to take up the old stuff and dispose of it, and put down the new on the first and second floors- including two stairways. There were scraps leftover which I asked to keep and had edged to make matching runners. I’m very pleased with McSwain and recommend them to anyone.

Fred was great to work with! We used McSwain years ago and after a flood destroyed our home in April he pulled out all the stops to get the work done quickly. The carpet looks great. Would definitely use them again.

The assistance provided by Lee at the Beechmont store was the great, his knowledge of the products and willingness to take the time to detail the difference between product and manufacturer was the deciding factor in where we purchased our flooring. He is a great asset to McSwains, knows his stuff and more than willing to assist !Extremely happy with our decision to shop at McSwains - Lee was the difference maker in our decision !

We were assured that the wood we were purchasing would be first boards and not tavern grade or short boards. We payed almost 2 dollars more a square foot because of this assurance. When the wood arrived more than 10% is definitely tavern grade and does not look like the sample wood they have in the store. They’re back pedaling and not standing behind what they originally said. If I could do it over I would have just ordered the wood off the internet. Extremely disappointed and I feel ripped off.

Didn’t show up on the first time. Then showed up and rescheduled. Left the doors not able to close even though carpet was installed in same room 14 years ago and never had issues with the carpet stopping the doors then. Not satisfied with mcswain service and will not use them again even though I had used them for the past 14 years. Never again.

Our carpet was ordered, delivered, and installed without any problems. We are very happy with our carpet.

I had several issues with the install, first the installer left blood on the floor and did not clean it up. The salesperson said floating floor (LVT) would not be an issue and we went over exactly the vanity that would be going into the space. The installer said that we should have not used LVT with the vanity that we installed because it would cause issues. The installer left white caulk on the side on the filler strips . i went back and cleaned up the white caulk due to it being such a eye sore.. I had a charge of $50.00 for adding filler to ensure the LTV was installed correctly, the installer said filler was not needed. I asked for a refund and never heard back. so the experience was not good at all
