Perhaps my opinion is biased since this is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is incredible, can be pricey depending on the dish but not only is it worth if youre treating yourself to a good meal, money spent on food is never money wasted! Friendly staff and always on the lookout, obviously on busy days theyll be stressed out from all the pressure and might not be as attentive but Ive never seen them be rude to anyone who didnt deserve it; theyre human after all.
Being from Southern California, Im a bit biased about Mexican cuisine. HOWEVER, Lindo Michoacan is my go-to place for Mexican food in Chicago. You get a GOOD meal. Not too much, not too little. The prices are excellent and the cuisine is fabulous. Two can be plenty full for $25.00.Great local atmosphere if you eat in and take out ready. Thank you Lindo Michoacan!Looking forward to my next visit!
Food as I want it price alright but shouldnt be asking customers about charge tips to the card do to forced card holder agree to it and must people do not know how it works on percentages charging possible what ever hight charges not showing how much was on receipt. Customer should written up on its own hand writing on the copy received not being ask all loud.....
It does have the vibe as if you are walking in to a little town supermarket. The prices are decent and they have a wide variety of products.
The butchers put over price stickers on their meat, this happened to me 3 times already, I didn’t catch it the first 2 until I got home but definitely last time I did when I was at the store. They over price everything as well, their hot food is the same thing they put the sticker on something different with a higher price.
The moment you go in to this store it smells. The carniceria has the meats touching echother (they have no plastic barriers as i have seen in other stores). Lots of shelfs are bad organized and things are just hard to find since its not well organized. Employees at the registers seem as they have bad days with long faces and you talk to them or ask them about a product that you are looking for and they just look at you as if they dont know what you are talking about. I have bought things from the paneria for my family and it taste old and hard.I try to avoid coming to this store, and it is sad since it is practically about the only hispanic store i know in the area.
Fresh fruit and veggies, great meat and seafood. Pretty good selections of groceries.
When you walk in the first thing you see its fresh produce. Walk a little further and you going to see the meat department and you can see how everything is so fresh and you can see the homemade Mexican sausage just hanging there. My favorite in there is their cook meals everything it tastes so good good everything is homemade with that Home style flavor. Come to think of it, everything there is homemade, their bread, their tortillas, their meals, natural juices and everything is made with fresh ingredients all the time.
Great Mexican food 🌮🍳🥩its fresh♨️ 🥕🥑🌶🌽and the prices are great💰 enjoy it🍭
They have cooking oil spilled in their parking lot. Was walking to work today and slipped and fell down.So dirty. None of their employees care. Someone shopping in the plaza saw me and helped me up but my shoes are covered in cooking grease. The food at the restaurant is bland and compensates by covering with sour cream and cheese. I do not recommend.
Great place and love the wonderful Latinas there. Always pleasant and helpful!
Love their food but the store need improvement, Not the most cleanest super market.
Love carnitas, tacos menudo, fish, rice love the food 😌
Way too expensive but good service, everything is a dollar or 2 more than average
One if my favorite local grocery stores with an emphasis on fresh produce and meat. They also make their own fresh tortillas that cant be beat.
They have a great bakery area and the rare find of Cherry R C.
Good for prepared Mexican food, to go. Such as carnitas, rice, giant gorditas. Grab some fresh made salsa and delicious cactus salad.
I visit the restaurant the food is great, the service is excellent, the atmosphere is so good that when you finish your food you don’t want to leave the place, and we Tv 📺 everywhere you look to enjoy the Spanish football or soccer ⚽️ is great the agua the orchata is so good 😊 and everything you get from there’s good congratulations.
Worst experience ever. I literally paid $15+ tax for 8 pieces of shrimp, rice and salad. DO NOT RECOMMEND. WASTE OF MONEY.
Amazing authentic mexican food. A must try.
Not good i recomend goin to el palmar
Great Selection of Hot Prepared Foods to Go.
I called and asked what time they would open they said 8am showed up around 8:27 just to tell me i had to wait Seniors only from 8 to 9 i wouldve loved for them to let me know before anything
The Bistec Special was delicious. The corn tortillas were fresh. The chips and salsa are the best Ive had in Chicago The service was awesome.
The best stuff pizza in the city of Chicago never disappointed LOVE IT
Clean place fresh fruit 🍓 🍑 meat fresh love going there.
Awesome yum omg bussin
Its a good place to shop, but they dont stock up on the wic baby milk you need and some of the hot food is priced very high.
Ive been coming here for years steak tacos and burritos I always get or the enchilada dinners everything was fresh good portions n price
The restaurant on the side of store is my go to for Mexican cuisine. Friendly atmosphere.
This was my 3rd time eating here and Im giving it 3/5 stars because although the food is ok good Mex food theres always room for improvement. Service was pretty good on this visit. Ordered the chicken flautas plate, it was heavily covered with too much toppings that made it slightly soggy soft by the time I was halfway done. Would have been nice if the toppings were put on the side, or even less? Soup of the day was a tomato pasta soup, honestly!! It was a tweaked up canned tomato alphabet soup! Seriously?! $3.50 for a med-sized bowl of what they called soup of the day!? Shame! So overall review of this restaurant.. Service can be hit or miss based on previous experiences. Prices are average. Nothing extremely special that makes me want to come regularly! So many Mexican restaurants in Chicago so competition is fierce to be a stand out!! Its one of those, ok I tried it and will move on!
Food to expensive mal servicio
Great market with wonderful selection of essential veggies!
Its very good food store for poor peoples and workers peoples and the price is very good. And very Cleaning inside and hard workers the all employers.
Good food, good price and friendly service
Friendly, neighborhood restaurant attached to a Mexican grocery, so the ingredients are always fresh. Open late, and almost always full of families. But stay as long as you like--they will never rush you out the door. Nice vegetarian versions of burritos, nachos, etc, feature lots of spinach, mushrooms, peppers and onions. Breakfast available all day. Daily specials. And an especially tasty torta con pollo milanesa.
It is a very good place everything is fresh and the food is delicious merely taste of Mexico
They have rats inside the store and the worst customer service ever.
Very good place for authentic Mexican Food. One of our Favorites in the neighborhood.
Not the best choices and looked empty.
Best fresh carnitas!!
My wife loves buying produce from here, always have everything in stock and reasonable price
Great and welcoming environment! 100% recommended
This Mexican supermarket has fruits🥭🍎vegetables🌶🥦great fresh meats and already prepared delicious 🍖 🇲🇽 🍗dishes🌮 ready🌯 to go👍my favorite is the freshly made daily 🍮Mexican🧁 pastry 🍰especially for the holidays 😍
The beef stew is good. And they give a pretty good portion. Comes with the fixings, tortillas and rice.
Cool supermarket I should have been shopping here
Good carnitas, warm tortillas and dont forget the spicy sauce 😌
Lots of variety regarding hard to find awesomely authentic items. Delicious hot prepped food and good sales too.
Food is really good😀 and prices are quite reasonable. Service is excellent. Atmosphere is pleasant and lively! Found this restaurant by doing a Google Map search driving through the area with family. Enjoyed it so much, I brought a friend there on New Year’s Day. We were not disappointed. Another plus is that they have parking. Will definitely eat there again.
Its a one stop shop of food related items.
Is everything mexican food .they sell food already done and is delicious.and a nice place to buy mexican.they got parking in a real open avenue on lawrence and kedzie
Delicious. Great options. Affordable. Friendly staff. Good for large families.
Very authentic down home Mexican food. Like what youd grow up with at home for us Latinos.
A small Hispanic market with great pricing on produce. Staff is very friendly and respectful.
The best Carnitas ever I give them 10 Stars try it
I have the chicken fajitas, they were simple nothing to really feel excited about. Chicken could of used some more seasoning. Horchata however was AWESOME!
Wide variety of products ..all kinds of fruits &vegetables, delicious just cooked food to go, plus great service from the people working there. Im coming back.!
The food is really good
Nothing have any prices, but food is good fresh deli and meat and fresh cooking food..!!
Best food ever
This was my second time to this restaurant. The first time I ate I thought it was ok. My second time was not good at all. The chips and salsa where really good which was the first star and our waitress was good even though she did not smile at all which is my second star. Now, the food was really bad. The beans were burnt, the al pastor tacos did not taste like al pastor and was mushy. The asada tacos were to salty and the lettuce seemed a bit old. I asked for a coffee and the creamer was spoiled. I did not enjoy my dinner. Maybe its because it was Wednesday afternoon or new cook ? The point is that it was not a good dinner. Now the food from the supermarket on sundays is great! The carnistas are one of the best I have had But from the supermarket not the restaurant.
Great food and meats
Doing the same thing cermak is doing and the butchers always keep meat after they cut it and clean it and wait it always try to pass off a bad cut of meat if youre not watching charge you for the better quality just like Cermak Fresh Foods
I loved it here. If youve ever gone to your local mom and pop shop or if youre looking for a new spot, please check them out. Their food was fresh and the cashier/sales floor people do a wonderful job helping people out. If you like water then they have it if you like veggies then they have them. Great service. Always in stock. Fresh meats....awesome
Great selection of prepared Mexican foods (e.g. marinated/seasoned meats, rice, beans etc) and butcher counter. Great produce selection as well.
Home bred is good
The waitress was SO nice, meals are cheap and huge. Nice ambience.
Some of the best carnitas in the Chi
The OG store, family been shopping here since they moved to chicago, by far the fresher meat here compared to most places.
No fine in option dye to covid but the horchata and carnitas are on point.
Very good food long line but worth it always
Awesome...fresh stuff! Awesome staff
Autentic mexican Food
There hot food is good. However, the store is really cramped and there lines get very long.
This is our favorite late night spot. Consistently delicious, fast service and BYOB. The tacos, burritos and sopes are all incredible. Went once for breakfast as well and it was incredible. So much food for really great prices!
Great place to have a beer, great buffalo chicken wings and great service from staff.
Great store everything you could need, and more. Lots of fresh vegetables & fruits, topical fruits as well. Deli options as well as a great meat and butchers. And also has hot food, hand made tortillas. And its own bakery in house they also make there own cheese and sour cream. Parking in front and back. Has a restaurant in back also with great food.
Great food. Great selection of choices
This is a grocery store with a lit of Mexican foods along with American foods. There is also a little Mexican restaurant connected to the store although u have to go outside of store and walk to side of store that faces Kedzie Ave to find restaurant entrance. The store has a lot of items from foods, to cleaning supplies and more. Prices are not too bad. They are cheaper than going to a Jewels or other big grocers. The employees are really nice and they speak Spanish mostly but also enough English to help customers find things or to check u out.The restaurant part is also good. They make really good Spanish food. They speak Spanish and again enough English for non-Spanish speakers. Only issue is the restaurant is so small. When go inside it looks like someones living room, size wise, with a kitchen and bathroom connected. I think they have like 8-10 tables or around there and their small. When it gets crowded it bad bc there is literally no room for waiting customers to stand. Other than that its great. Prices are not expensive at all.
Great grill chicken
Good place to shop.
Walked in asked about chips and dip, I was told the price and I declined. The waitress turned away from me as if I didnt want anything else. I said excuse me I will STILL like to order. So I ordered 2 steak tacos and 1 carnitas taco. All I wanted was LETTUCE, CHEESE, TOMATOES AND CILANTRO. NOOOO ONIONS. I received my order, only to get back to work to find out I had NO cheeses, but with onions.I really didnt want to go back because I felt alienated from the start. Ive ALWAYS known there was a divide between us black and brown folks, but I NEVER experienced it until today. The food was sloppy prepared. Too much employee talking to each other and not paying attention to whats going on.The 2 ladies at the register and the cook. One lady tried HOLDING on to my debit card before I signed. Hand my card back with those dirty gloves she had on since she started.I barely touched the menu and one lady immediately wiped it off, and gave me attitude when I asked for sanitizer so I could clean my debit card off. I will NEVER go back.
The restaurant great and fresh food, the waitress very attentive Nd good service. At the market the hot food is delicious. I highly recommend.
Has fruits and vegetables always fresh and some products you wont find easily in another places
Fantastic Mexican food attached to the grocery store. Best enchiladas I have ever had and the homemade fresh bread for the torta is incredible. Nice little hidden gem that I will gladly drive out of the way for.
Their Pollo Asado is worth waiting in line for for a quick easy yummy dinner.
I was referred here to try out their mole, however it didn’t meet my expectation their style is aiming to be sour somewhat like the taste of their sour coffee. I guess they over estimated their cinnamon ratio because is not even spicy. Additionally the wait staff can be snappy. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
The ice cream is great there. Such variety of flavors. I am not giving it 5 stars though because I believe that they can find a better more efficient way to attend the huge amounts of people (that make loooongg lines). Thats my only concern. Ps. Its not only ice-cream they serve. They have all kinds of drinks and foods. I would definitely give it a try for a great taste.
Good Menudo and Carnitas
Delicious food that’s semi-attached the the grocery store next door, so all ingredients are fresh. Portion sizes are generous, prices are fair, and the staff is friendly. Highly recommend!
Real Mexican environment for who likes.
Food its great nd great service
Ive been coming here for the authentic hot food in the buffet area to take home since I was a kid. I still come here to this day. We also love the sweet bakery breads.
I tried the 3 taco dinner, and it was nothing to write home about. Your basic taco place with no outstanding seasoning. I dont have a picture because I took it to go. Ill try them again and see if its better dining in.
