Its a good store with a surprising inventory. Who else actually has callaloo? Great stock of international foods! With butchers on-site!But dont tell me on the phone you have Scotch Bonnet peppers and its red habanero. Theyre not the same. Gas aint free. My only issue.

Its an African store. The meats prices were affordable. They also have a range of other African products like egusi, indomie etc.The space is a bit small.

Makes me feel like I’m home. This place has all the comfort food ingredients for Africans, Mexicans and Caribbean people. Wish it was a little bigger but I can’t complain. Literally everything I want I can find here. And the staff is super friendly and very very helpful. It’s great to see so many people from so many cultures together. Always warms my heart to shop here.

A one stop shop for most African and Carribean local products. If you want to make those local delicacies or get a feel of home with products you are familiar with them its the store to go. Though these products are more expensive than the American counterparts.

Staff is courteous and kind. Store is clean and organized. Great food selection. I come here for all my Afro/Caribbean food shopping.

Latino, African, Caribbean and middle eastern foods,also different varieties of(fresh) foods, fish and meat,the place is tiny but in overall you will be satisfied.

Great place to get all your African and International foods. Very diverse inventory. I am not disappointed when I go here. The prices are affordable and reasonable and given it is the closet to me I can’t complain about the prices, the set up and the friendliness of the staff. I appreciate it! The neighborhood it’s in can be a bit questionable BUT I have never had issues when I go. I feel safe and unbothered.

Im a vegan and if u take your time to search you will discover they have a lot of natural vegan approved items. The staff all are kind and helpful, when u ask if they have something u like and they dont at that the moment they will get in stock for you an real store who cares about their customers and community 😍💯

Their fruits are very large and very cheap!the people are always smiling and nice, and they have a wide variety of different foods in there. Its small, but its nice, and their meats are fresh!

Its nice when you can shop somewhere and not feel like youre being rob 3times have bought groceries and its not good and I dont get a refund, but if you want to have good customers refund your customers for spoiled goods.

Best little place to go for your BBQ needs. You will find they have a bit of everything. Parking and the line can get long but... patient.

This store is amazing. You can buy foods here that are imported from Africa and Mexico. They have hard to find spices and produce selections. I love this place.

I love this place! The staff is always warm and friendly. The guys in the meat section are funny. Even though some items are a bit expensive, like the Ghana yam, its still my favourite African store.

La Fruteria is a Spanish, African, Caribbean is a small Super market on 87th and Commercial with all the foods that makes for a good down home cooking at a great price that wont break your wallet. Everyone who works there are friendly and helpful. I really love that market.

Worth the drive from Davenport to stock up on Caribbean groceries. The only issue is that you have to purchase your groceries bags, the only reason why they didn’t receive 5 stars.

Great specialty store for items for Caribbean, Latin and African cooking. Very small but neat and clean.

Ive being here a few times and the good news is that they do have many condiments common to African/Hispanic/Caribbean cooking, the bad news is that their prices are just a tad bit higher than similar stores on the Northside.I must say that the location is easily accessible by both private and public transportation - you may have to park around the corner - and the staff are generally very winsome.
