Cute store with unique items and Knicks knacks. Stuff you don’t see at a lot of places. They have a bunch of eclectic items. Red wine stain removers, taco holders, avocado vase grow kits, cool posters, books, cards, socks, games, puzzles, toys, cocktail kits, etc. Definitely a lot of interesting items. A bit pricey for my taste though. Really cool shop though!!

This is my favorite shop in Lincoln Park on Armitage. They have the best selection! I am normally able to knock out almost all of my Christmas shopping here and can always count on this store for cute gift items throughout the year! They have a wonderful and diverse selection. There is something for everyone at Art Effect. Definitely check this place out if you haven’t been before!

There were 30 other people in the store and I was followed around the store and asked to put my stuff at the front. Not in a let me help you way but in the Im worried you are going to steal something. I was the only person of color in the store and no one else was told to put their stuff in the front. There was also no line for the register so Im confused and am sure I was racially profiled. Makes me rethink shopping here. I wasnt treated this way last time I came in a few months ago with a friend who is white. Please train your staff because this is not a good look.

I’m pretty fascinated! This company shipped my order the very next day, and it got here earlier than expected. The quality of the dresses is great, better than other boutiques I’ve ordered from. I would definitely order from them again and recommend the boutique to my friends.

I love visiting Art Effect, they are a real neighborhood gem! The selection of products they carry is high-quality and super cute. The staff is accommodating, and they have always gone out of their way to help or answer any questions I have. Ill be moving to a larger space in a couple of weeks, and Im already planning my next visit to pick up some much-needed home decor pieces!

Ive been going to Art Effect for many years, and its always been one of my favorite Chicago boutiques. Its my go-to for unique gifts and they always have the best selection of clothes from lounging to a night out. Staff is always super friendly and of course, the fact they will box and wrap your gifts is something this busy mama appreciates!

Until that moment, I had the courage to open their interesting door and welcome myself to the beautiful and classy creations they had. Even if their shows were high, it was worth it and nice in the hood. I bought some of the prestigious clothes that suit my personality. I was also impressed by their handling of me as their innocent client.

Great shop with a huge inventory of products. Its always my first stop when Im looking for a Christmas, anniversary, or Valentines Day present for my girlfriend. Specially when I’m not sure what to get; we’ve all been there. My girlfriend loves everything I buy for her from here, and sometimes I find a few things for myself (they have great barware items).

Where do I even start with this amazing boutique?? The store is PACKED with fun gifts, knick-knacks, home decor, and clothing. I can spend hours just browsing everything they have in there--and theres always lots of new items every time I go. The staff is extremely friendly, and the owner, Esther, is so so nice! I think visiting this Lincoln Park staple should be on everyones to-do list.

The shop owner provides superb customer service…I asked to exchange an item for a different size and when the item was not in the store, she contacted the designer who delivered it the next day. Such a great place.

Such cute clothes and home goods, friendly but not overwhelming staff, sale section always rocks. Non-sale items lean more on the expensive side but if you have the spare money to support a small business this is a great choice.

Very nice gift shop

I was just in this store and some woman named Joe or Joan (I overheard her tell someone her name) followed me around the store the entire time. The thing is, it wasnt in a how can I help you manner but more of making sure I didnt steal anything mind you there were several other people in the store and she was not keeping an eye on them. I guess this is racial profiling at its finest. I usually love this store and this has never happened before, but I just find it absolutely ridiculous.

How have I lived here 8 years and never known about this place!!Ive tried to become a better friend in my 30s and that means actually buying punctual birthday gifts, if you leave Art Effect empty handed you need to re-asses your standards!They have a little of everything and not a lot of anything. The entrance contains some beautiful dishes, serving ware and a pair of Kate Spade gold polka dot drinking glasses!They have cards, cookbooks and cute little knickknacks.There is also another part of the store that is clothing and a lot of trendy jewelry!

Cute store thats even bigger than it looks from the outside! Lots of fun Chicago items up front, kitchen gadgets and cookbooks in the back, and clothes off to the side. Also with jewelry and greeting cards here and there.

I dashed over here for a last minute gift and was pleasantly surprised by their mix of high-end housewares and jewelry and unique odds and ends. It is a bit spendy but everything is high-quality and not found in a standard big box store. Be sure to set a budget before shopping or you may spend too much money!

This place is GREAT for last minute gifts and nick nacks. I love the diversity of product and uniqueness of some of their products too! They have some cute clothes and jewelry - I average about an hour in this store when I have the time to venture over there!

If you live in the Armitage/Depaul neighborhood, this place might be the best place around for gift giving. They also have clothes and purses though, so make sure to set a budget for yourself as well:) I especially like the unique stationary and garden items

A friend and I stumbled upon this store while walking down Armitage and as they say, the best things happen by mistake. They have so many neat knick knacks such as joke books, mustache toothpicks and a variety of others. They also have a cute clothing selection, also reasonably priced. I would highly recommend!

This entry of the #30daychallenge was a no-brainer. I am head-over-heels for Art Effect, conveniently located just off of the Armitage stop. Its a treasure trove of beautiful clothes for every price range, jewelry, other accessories and home goods. I will definitely be stopping by soon for some holiday shopping.
