Sip - always a reliably good cup of coffee and espresso. This was a mainstay for me back when good coffee was still something you had to look for in the city. I spent many days in this place studying in my school years, and I was back frequently for any relaxing R&R with a good cup of joe. The space is quaint, laid back and with plenty of comfortable seats. The backyard patio is great for the summer, and parking was never too difficult to find in the neighborhood. Plenty of nearby good eats as well for when your stomach starts to rumble, though they also have tasty snacks and treats.

Lovely coffee / tea shoppe. Use a mug and get a free coffee refill. They serve intelligencia beans and homemade goodies. I tried the blueberry cranberry bread and it was heavenly. The staff is patient, friendly, and attentive. I felt right at home in this shoppe and think I found another favorite coffee house. Easily my favorite in this neighborhood. As a coffee roaster, Ive explored hundreds of coffee joints, and this particular one lands pretty high on my list. There is WiFi and no shortage of outlets. Perfect for a study, a meet with a mate, a morning brew, or just an oasis from it all.

Sip Coffee House is my favorite café in the city! It has a well rounded vibe of comfortable, cozy, chill, lively, social, relaxing, but also work friendly. It is a great place to get work done whether you’re a professional, a student, or all of the above. It’s also just an awesome place to come and unwind with friends.The coffee and tea selection are pretty extensive so you’ll find something for any taste bud. This is truly the epitome of a third place environment. Home away from home :)

They also have these cute little cat sushi figurines on their till, maybe thats what makes me love it so much, I dunno but the second I saw them I was in love with this place! :). Very quiet and comfortable atmosphere. The beverage selection is amazing. Typical fancy coffee drinks as well as good coffee and a great selection is teas, like rooibos flavors, black green, and white flavors. Served in a tea pot with refills awesome. Definitely a great place to study for boards

We got our delicious hot drinks, an apple juice, I got a toasted ham and cheese croissant and she had a sesame seed bagel. Everything was QUALITY!! Very delicious, with a seating area in the back that was deceptively big, with very relaxing and chill music playing overhead. We both agreed our experience there was the perfect way to start our day. Starbucks is nearby...SKIP THAT, COME HERE!! You wont regret that choice!

What a fantastic place with plenty of room inside and out and delicious coffee. When I walked in, the woman behind the counter greeted me with exhubarance, and I was so surprised by her friendliness, I didnt know how to respond (since people arent usually so friendly). It gets pretty crowded, and I can see why. A very good atmosphere overall.

This place is very charming, perfect for working or studying even. Quite comfortable and minimal noise. I enjoyed a turkey and sharp cheddar sandwich on a pretzel bun, w/pesto mayo on the side and it did not disappoint. Vanilla Latte was exceptional as well! I cant wait to return! Very helpful and friendly staff!

Super cute coffee house that opens to ample seating in the back. I had one of their holiday drinks, and while I dont remember the name, it was delicious. The staff was also super friendly.They had a couple of board games on hand, and my group and I sat on some very comfy chairs and a couch if youre looking for a place to pass on time.

This cafe personifies laid back to perfection.You walk in, order your drink, choose your cups if youre having tea and find a place to sit in an area that looks like a massive living room with different types of furniture. Its a great place to hangout, catch up with friends and have good conversation. Its not too noisy and they have a patio as well.The staff are really friendly and it just adds to the overall chill out vibe of the place. Even though the drinks are not particularly fantastic, I would definitely recommend coming here just for the ambience.

Super cute place with lot of characters! I love their court yard, its great for hangout or studying while absorbing some sun! They dont play loud music either, and everyone inside was pretty much in complete silence so it is a great studying place.

A cool place, a small upstairs balcony kind of area. I really like the idea of choosing your own mug from their eclectic collection. Even better when the weather is nicer and they have the patio space opened up.

Dont let the exterior deceive you. It looks so small from the outside but it really opens up on the inside. Theres an upstairs, downstairs, and two outdoor areas so there are plenty of seating.The drinks are great and reasonably priced. I ordered the London Fog and its this creamy but light earl grey tea latte. Not too sweet either! The baristas are also super friendly so TIP GENEROUSLY!They also carry Terrys Toffee!!!

This place is AMAZING! I absolutely LOVE the atmosphere, TONS of space (I went in the winter, and it was great, I hear its even better in the summer!) lots of outlets, coffee is great, sandwich was amazing, good (lo-tuned) music. It is about 20min from me, but either way, I am DEF going back. Oh, and the sarcastic signs were awesome as well. Lastly, I came to study and do some homework, but they do also provide a large selection of magazines to read while in house. I was there for over 6hrs studying and no one looked at me weird. Very nice spot!

Decent coffee and desserts. Cute atmosphere. Unfortunately, I guess it was an employee Im not sure, was not so subtlety hinting they wanted us to leave. We stopped by at 6pm on a Saturday, they close at 7pm. Around 615, the employee started noisily moving chairs, tables and trash bags. So rude and didnt allow for a pleasant experience. We will not be back.

If you want a cozy at home feeling, Sip is for you. The coffee is great. I ordered a muffing that tasted old and the cashier exchanged it for something different. The music changes depending on who is working, seems they put music on depending on personal taste, it went from Jazz, to soft rock, pop...

GREAT place to hang out to study, read, or meet friends. Backyard patio is nice and quaint with a tree growing out of brick ground and alfresco tables. Small space on second floor with cozy sofa for intimate group or a first date.

I give it four stars not based on the bev I actually got, but instead based on the good quality ingredients and what I expect the coffee tastes like, as well as the two garden spaces and the big indoor seating area. People are right that, from the outside and even the counter area, you totally dont expect it to be as extensive as it is. I didnt want to have more coffee when I went, so I ordered a London fog, which basically tasted like sweetened cream to me, even as time passed and the Earl Grey had plenty of time to steep. It didnt have much tea flavor, and tea lattes (unfortunately) tend to be extremely sweet, so I was expecting that, but the lack of flavor was less expected. So my drink was not so good, and Id try to get coffee next time instead, but the ingredients and settings are 4-star-worthy.Everyone in the back had papers or computers out, and one group of people seemed to be scrapbooking or something, with stuff totally covering a big table. It seems like a place you could go for the day and not worry about being bothered to leave. They have some food, too, although there are other more interesting food options nearby. There is one person working, so if theres any line itll be slow. They have a bike rack right out front.

Had a pleasant morning here today with a group of friends from the Chicagoland Coffee and Conversation Meetup. We experienced fast and friendly service while enjoying a perfect time out on the back patio! Highly recommended.
