What a cute place to grab some Crepes or tea at!! Definitely a place if you want some quiet time to work or if you want to chat with your friend! Their Chocoholic crepe was delicious!!! Loved every flavor in that crepe. Definitely recommend!!

I cant believe I haven’t heard of this place before!Its beautiful! Crepes were delicious and priced reasonably.I do have to warn you, this place can get really busy and packed with people. Wait time for drinks and food was around 10 to 15 minutes every time we went there.I would definitely recommend the Raspberry Peach smoothie and the Banana Nutella Crepe.

Got a matcha latte with orange added and it was the best dang drink of my life! So smooth, even my boyfriend commented on insanely good it was. Service was great. Atmosphere was aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Honestly want to move to wicker park just to go here every day. Will remember this drink for the rest of my life.

Most relaxing and gorgeous vintage cafe in wicker park. I love that they rescue all their furniture from estate sales. Giving the place an old world comfy vibe. Wonderful place for afternoon tea with a friend. Excellent coffee and tea options. I recommend the matcha Earl grey and creme brûlée crepe.

This place is super cute. Definitely has a vibe. I had the chicken chipotle crepe, very good! Theres also a back room thats away from the noise of the front of the cafe. You can also rent their rooms there for events.

This shop is where I had a very good breakfast. The plates, coffee, and bread were all delicious and reasonably priced. In addition, the waitress who served me was very sweet, good, and informative. I admired his confidence and sense of humour. It was both impressive and beautiful. The atmosphere was also clean and comfortable. It was enjoyable for me!

They recommended this coffee shop to my father. Its a great place to get the best coffee in town, which goes well with their sumptuous meals! It has a cozy environment and a wide range of dishes and drinks on the menu. Its well-ventilated, and the music on the speakers was usually good. Unquestionably a must-visit coffee shop!

Seriously delicious crepes. Seriously. They were so good, my mom (visiting in town) had to know how they made them. Its always been a great place to get work done, or just to pass through for an espresso, fresh blended juice, and/or the obvious choice... their crepes.

This place is great for raw juice and smoothies. Only problem is they’re pretty rude time over time. They are also in no rush to serve you, but are quick to ask for a tip. The reason I’m writing this review is because I placed an order at 5:55 and I he server let me know “this will be her last juice for the day” as if I was doing her a grievance. I’ll take my juice raw but not the commentary

I let me kids hang out with some camp friends in Wicker Park so I needed a place to do some school work while they hung out. I Googled “coffee shop near me” and this place popped up. Man oh man, I walked in and felt like I had just walked into someone’s house. The ambiance is so chill, cultured, and aesthetically pleasing. It just has so much style and gives off a an energy of comfort. I remember thinking, places like this really matter. I usually go to Starbucks, if I’m thinking “get away and get work done”, but this is definitely a better vibe.

Their avocado cacao smoothie bowl is super tasty! One of my favorite items on their menu. 🥰

If anything, the spacious and chill space itself is worth your time if youre more productive on your laptop in a coffee shop setting like I am. Beyond that, their gluten-free breakfast crepes (served in a cone), smoothies, and coffee are fresh and tasty. Great for breakfast with a friend or a solo study sesh in Wicker Park.

This place is absolutely amazing. It would be 5 stars but there isnt a real system during mass rushes which is mid day. They need labels on drinks, customers take the wrong drinks and sometimes orders are wrong. The crepes are amazing as a well as the smoothies. The taste can be inconsistent during rush hr. But highly recommend. The decorum feels like an antique library. Love it

The place looked good and it had a very good amount of options. I had three crepes (two chicken and a beef) and I found them all delicious! The berry smoothie was on point too! My only disappointment was that the crepes took too long! My estimated wait time was > 20 min! There was a time that I waited for too long (probably for about ~30 min for a single crepe order) one of the baristas offered a free iced latte (which was nice of them). The workers and the food were great, but the service time was very discouraging!

Great place to do some work. They have plenty of seating so even during busy hours there’s plenty of seating. The drinks are really good and so are the crepes.

As someone who doesn’t enjoy crepes, I’m shocked to admit that their goat cheese and poached pear crepe was PHENOMENAL. I think it’s because they figured out how to make it possible to enjoy the crepe handheld.If you enjoy goat cheese and fruits, get the goat cheese and poached pear crepe.

I just want to return to this coffee shop again and again! I loved the taste of their coffee as well as the soothing atmosphere. Its a great place to study and hang out with your colleagues. They still have excellent internet access. I had a great time in this fantastic coffee shop. It comes highly recommended!

First time going there. I had an iced coffee, so its hard to say much about a place with one order of iced coffee. My wife had a crepe, which she enjoyed very much. The atmosphere seems very nice, and by the look of it, its a hangout place for younger population. I saw a lot of people working on their laptop, which is an indication of a longer visits for whomever goes there. I think its worth giving it more goes and see how it gets. We will definitely go again, whenever we are back in the area.

I hadnt been to Bru in a couple years, and all I can say is WOW. I did a double take when walking by, because it looked so radically different inside that I wondered if it was a new business. Went inside to discover that its still under the same ownership, but thats about all thats the same. Everything from the decor to the menu has been completely re-vamped and upgraded. The previous aesthetic was functional, standard-issue indie cafe; the new look is a mix of clean modern cafe ie bright tile work and two top tables - and luxurious almost opulent vibe with textured wallpaper and beautiful vintage couches. The menu has similarly expanded to embrace some pretty inspiring gluten free and vegetarian options. Not to be overlooked was the friendly and efficient staff. I cant overstate how impressed I am by this re-imagined iteration of a neighborhood favorite.

I come to Bru very often. I love the ambience. When I talk to people about this place, I tell them it feels like a chic library. The cafe is kind of separated by a front and back. The front has the music and noise of a cafe; the back is pretty quiet and has the library feel.The prices are higher, but you pay for the ability to peacefully work and enjoy good food and beverages. If you come here, order the Tofu or Chicken Teriyaki. You WILL NOT regret it. Also order the fresh ginger lemonade if you love ginger.

I want to give Bru the benefit of the doubt.. that more often than not their space is much tidier and more put together.. but on this specific Saturday afternoon the place was messy. Upon walking in, there were posters on the floor. The common areas needed a sweeping and a wipe down. The bathroom floor was messy, there was no paper towel and the air dryer was broken (barely blowing warm air) thus I had to dry my hands on my clothes. We ordered two iced coffees and they were only able to make us one before they ran out. It was 4pm. We also ordered a turkey club and it was actually really good and healthy. The side was a bag of chips and it took the employees ten minutes to bring the chips to us after we got our sandwich. I did enjoy the comfy furniture and the many electric outlets. Seems like a good alternative to study or write in a crowded Wicker Park neighborhood. I plan on visiting again in the near future though if I have another subpar experience I will probably never come back.

The best city coffee! With their coffee and service, this coffee shop is completely awesome every moment! Because of the taste, I still drink coffee here and the place is nice too. They also have good, polite and supportive workers. Dont miss the chance here to drink amazing coffee.

To do some work online, I came to this coffee shop and found it to be a fantastic environment with a nice strong wifi link. During my stay there, I really enjoyed it because I was so productive and successful at that time. The coffee was fine, and it was even better with the food. In the future, I will probably visit again to try some of the other interesting sounding things on the menu.

Always love coming here for the fresh raw juice, but not today. I came to grab one on my 30 minute work break and it took the girl 37 minutes... 37! I have never waited more than 15 min here even with long lines. For such a simple task it should never take this long. The girl making it seemed very spaced out, disengaged, and not all there. There needs to be better time management and employees need to be more attentive to what tickets are coming in and what still needs to be sent out. This has made me very weary on returning anytime soon.

Staff was not friendly at all . Cane in to look at a party space no one spoke or offered to help. Then when we got help he was ok but not ! My kids did not feel comfortable. The space they showed should not be rented out for big parties !

Best crepe in town! I had the crepe with Nutella and banana and it was delicious. The bananas were warm and soft with a generous melt of Nutella in the crepe. The matcha green tea I had comes in iron tea pot.The staff was very friendly and the the is enough space either at the bar, on tables or on couches. Also a good place to work with a laptop.

Its a great coffee shop with an excellent selection of coffees, teas and a full food menu. Seating includes large tables if you are planning on getting some work done and comfy couches if you just want to relax. The hidden gems, though, are the co-working space in the back room and the lounge in the basement. The co-working space is the best-priced option of its kind in Chicago and the lounge space is available for parties and performances.

No idea when they started offering gluten free crepes but I absolutely love it! So many sandwich shops in the area and this is something different. Crepes are 10000x better than even the best gluten free bread - bravo!

Genuinely delicious. My partner and I got the orange mocha, and white chocolate lavender mocha. They make their own lavender syrup from natural lavender. It had to be the best mocha drink I’ve ever had.For food, my partner got the chicken teriyaki and told me it was so good he accidentally ate the paper packaging around it, he enjoyed it that much. We plan on going again very soon.

What a lovely shop for coffee! I come here regularly to compose, and the staff are lovely, and the coffee is very good. Plus, with the seasons, they adjust what they sell, which is a pleasant touch and additional points for the WiFi plug sockets at each table. This coffee shop also looks like a nice place to work, so Im going to try it soon!

Review based on just the crepes, dragonfruit bowl and the lavender lemonade - My friend and I tried the Teriyaki Chicken Crepe and the Chipotle Chicken Crepe, we both thought they were overly sweet and did not have enough/ any chicken in the crepe at all. My friend had the dragonfruit bowl and enjoyed it but thought the lavender lemonade was quite average. Ill try the flavoured coffees at another time and update my review. Both staff and people in the store practiced social distancing!

This is my dream coffee shop ever! Coffees and food were both tasteful and affordable. A very nice place, a lovely setting. The team were very hospitable and they supported me with any request I made. The wi-fi links are also very good. Its highly recommended!

Bru is excellent, can you say crepes? Tried three different flavors, Chicken Chipotle, Steak and Berries with Mascarpone, yummy. Also tried protein shakes and smoothies. Everything was tasty. The costumer service is very good and its a good looking space.

Pros:- Right off the blue line (350 ft walk)- Great Wifi- Drip coffee is $3- Large place with nice windows and a good ambience- Coworking space has large tables, lots of outlets, decent chairsCons:- They play music pretty loudly- Bathroom was out of toilet paper and when I asked for more they simply put another stack of paper towels inside- I got here around 9 and the place was pretty much empty for another hour and a half. Granted, it was MLK day, but still, it seemed a little odd.

Came in for a quick cup of coffee. Coffee is great and they have a wide variety of seating to accommodate your needs of a coffee shop. They offer cbd coffee and other items on their menu worth checking out.Will stop by again when I’m back in town.
