I’ve been stopping in a lot lately to buy gifts for friends/family and to start building a general collection of candles, scents, lotions, etc. Very nice assortment and selection in this boutique!Update: about one year later from the original review and this team is still fantastic! Sarah recently helped us with a couple accessories to help elevate a continually growing collection and we could not be happier. The candles are obviously amazing but this location really has the nicest staff. I want to say the woman’s name was Sarah. She spent a ton of time with me, helping me find the perfect scents and when I got home I discovered she’d thrown in some extra samples for me too! Can’t recommend it enough if you’re looking to indulge yourself a little.

The staffs are really great. They are always generous for free samples. Dylan is so awesome. The first time I went their and bought my first candle, he explained to me everything and he is so friendly.

Stopped by the Damen Ave store and was graciously and happily served by Melissa W. Being a Diptyque newby (but influenced strongly by another), Melissa took ample time to walk me through the line. Very pleased and happy with the attention given- she was genuine in her approach and was very accommodating to the many questions from a guy who probably was a fish out of water in a Fragrance store. Thank you and would definitely recommend Melissa and the experience at Diptyque. Well done.

I am from Paris, when I walk in the store in Chicago, I feel the experience is the same as the store on boulevard St. Germain. What makes shopping at this store better than at a retailer is the expertise of the staff. With Covid-19, being encouraged to stay at home, scents have been so important as a mean to escape. Sarah and Melissa introduced and suggested scents that I would have never thought as “me”, though I must say they were right! Let them guide you on your olfactory journey. If you want to discover and get the Diptyque experience, I highly recommend you stop at this store. Had a great experience today with Sarah!My first purchase with Diptyque, she took a few minutes to understand the kinds of scents I like and then presented a bunch of scents and helped me put together a box of 5 scents to take home.TamDao was my favorite in store, and I just got home and read the whole story, and I actually spent time in Mysore India which has the BEST sandalwood scents. Love this place. Staff is extremely knowledgable. Always new products and fragrances to check out when visiting the storefront. Designer fragrances without being gaudy or price gouged like competitors.

I’ve been a customer of the Damen Ave location for two years now. I live in WI but occasionally make trips to the Damen Ave location and Paul has been amazing since day one!I’ve made multiple purchases of candles and perfumes both in store and over the phone and Paul has gone above and beyond EVERY time! There has never been an issue with the order and Paul has been not only professional and knowledgeable but very polite, respectful and attentive to all my inquiries. I simply could not ask for better customer service. Can’t thank Paul enough!

Madeline and the crew here are amazing. they are all friendly and helpful, and do a great job of showing the value of all the products. they make great suggestions too - truly above and beyond service. way better than shopping online.

Love this store but super disappointed with the service. I think the man who worked in there didn’t pay any attention to us because we don’t look wealthy enough to shop there. We had to ask for his help twice. Next time we’ll spend our money online or at lo labo.
