I dropped off two Barbour jackets for repair and rewaxing. The staff at the Chicago Orvis store were fantastic and made the experience easy. The manager Kristen was very professional and I had my jackets back very quickly. Meagan at the register was helpful. This Orvis store is the best! Get your old Barbours repaired. My Beaufort is 24 years old...its now ready for another 24

This Orvis is... Interesting. Team members are kind and knowledgeable, but the stock is paltry. Prepare yourself to hear this a lot: well, we dont have that in stock, but you can order from us and well ship it to you for free. Dont order from the website, call us directly and well ship it to you for free. No, Im sorry, we dont have any of those in the back. We only have this in small and XL. We likely would have purchased several items had they been in store, but left due to low inventory and shopped elsewhere. Another note: seems that prices are significantly higher as of late. Not sure if this is Covid related (issues with supply chain?), but it just seemed to both my mom and I that the pieces were over-priced. We both commented on this to each other.

I went to get a zip in liner for my Barbour jacket. The sales associate that was helping me noticed that there was a manufacturer error that did not allow the liner to zip in. I would’ve never have noticed this otherwise. Without me even asking, he spoke to manager and they swapped my coat out for a new one. I’m glad I had purchased it at Orvis, and it’s great that they were so willing to help me out. Awesome staff and service. I’ll make sure to keep buying from them.

Orvis makes great clothes and fishing and dog gear. I love their original polos, they are super thick and warm. More of a spring and fall polo. The staff at this location have been helpful each and every time I have gone in. Would recommend to anyone looking for quality clothes.

We love seeing the golden retrievers during the Black Friday sales. Stuff is expensive but will last a Long time. Have a very good selection of food items that also are of very high quality. Store is a little difficult to see if of the main Street. Store also had a good selection of fishing poles. Staff is very helpful.

The staff was SUPERB and made me feel so comfortable. They answered ALL my detailed questions and made sure I had the gear I needed without the usual up-selling. I bought a rod, reel, lines, flies and case. Even my mother enjoyed shopping around the store getting great deals on high quality products. If youre in the Chicago area, be sure to stop in and learn from the pros! This was the best fly store shopping experience Ive ever had...most DEFINITELY will be revisiting in the future! I have a jacket that I bought at Orvis at least 15 years ago which still looks great. I bought a heavier fall jacket and two tunics that were recommended by the wonderful sales associate Barbara. The clothing is a bit on the expensive side but if the new clothes last as long as the jacket I bought years ago, its worth the extra price. I wish the store was larger.

Orvis, you are amazing! I have owned several Orvis rods, waders, and reels over the years and have always appreciated the product quality. However, you have just proven yourself an awesome customer service company. I just received my 20 year guarantee rod back after breaking a reel seat where I begged for a quick turnaround in time for a trip to the Bob Marshall Wilderness in 2 weeks. You returned it to me in 10 days!! You have just sealed the deal on a lifetime customer.

Orvis is Orvis. Love it or hate it. My wife and I rolled in to browse while on vacation and were met with amazing customer service. The reps were well versed in all of the products and took the time to go nerd on jackets and vests, knowing we were browsing. This is why when we returned home I bought a few things from Orvis online (didnt want to fly home with stuff and pay Chicago high sales taxes). My experience at the Chicago shop really has put Orvis back on my radar and will plan to continue shopping there. Thanks for the outstanding customer service and high quality products.

Few places that stocks Barbour items (including the Steve McQueen motorcycle jacket). Cool outerwear shop (but not just for the outdoors type of person). Easily accessible downtown, just off Michigan.

I love Orvis. Im a fishing guy and like the gear, not so much the clothes, so it was still great to see a fishing and outdoor store in a downtown core, but it was a little underwhelming when Im used to the varied selection of larger stores. I did really enjoy it - and the customer service was awesome. The sales guys are really knowledgeable.
