As soon as we walked in Kathleen welcomed us and asked if we needed help, we were looking for a shirt to exchange one bought online, they did not have the size but I was able to get something else and paid the difference. Also picked up a jacket and Kathleen was helpful on letting us know the difference between one and the other. Ill go back to get other things since the store is near where I live.

Came here a few days ago and honestly will never come here EVER AGAIN. If you are not white you will not get greated. If you are not white you will not get help with anything. I might as well work there to give people what they go there for SHOP and when needed help give good customer service. Had staff memeber look at me up and down. So I had to drop everything that I was going to buy and take my service elsewhere. They should really work on their retail service, manager should be on top of this. People come to shop and spend money. But if theirs no good customer service how you expect to make your store money!!! Seriously awful disappointing experience.

I came to this location and I felt awkward as soon as I walked in. I wasn’t greeted, one staff member who was a Caucasian male, kept staring at my sisters and I and was even following us as if we were going to steal merchandise. I’m not trying to pull a race card or anything, but all the other customers(caucasians) were instantly greeted and helped.

Another place that I give a lot of my money to. I dont mind because I love the quality, quantity and the service. Ive never had a bad experience with this North Face store. Everyone is always very helpful and friendly. If youre looking for good quality outer wear with a lifetime warranty, North Face is the place to go. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very nice store. The young sales girl was very helpful. Looking for for socks with the rubber grips on the bottom. No stock in store. She checked on their website and nothing. She stated they were out at this time, but check in a month or so. Very nice person.

The North Face is a nice brand. They sell outdoor gears for a reasonable price, especially during sale season. However, I feel that the staff is a little standoffish. I tried asking about some of the products and they just responded in a very cold tone. Otherwise, I still like the brand.

I like North Face and I own a few of their products, but today I went over to the Damen Ave store and it was the worst customer service I received in a while!I bought a jacket about 2 months ago and after thinking about it back and forth, I decided to return it. I love it, but I think the price tag was a bit too high for a jacket and I found it online at a different store, for less. When I purchased the item, I used a gift card (a Visa gift card) for part of the payment, that I no longer had because it was thrown away at purchase by the sales person. But most of it was paid with my own bank card. So I walk into the store, and there is no other clients, so she had plenty of time to help, call customer service, find a solution if she wanted... The 1st thing that that the sales woman (Citlaly) says is that I cant return it as I am past the time frame....So then I mentioned that I counted the days just this morning, so I do not come in the store without being sure I can return it....Then she inspects the product thoroughly and then we get into the fact that I do not have the original gift card for part of the payment. And that she can only give me a North Face gift card in lieu of my original Visa gift card. Now, I have worked in retail for many years and I know this is not the easiest type of return, but it can be done. She called out her manager (Kathleen) and she said the same thing - they will return the part of the purchase on my bank card and the other amount would be put on a North Face gift card. I asked them to call customer service and none of them did. They kept telling me that is the only thing they can do. I ended up asking for the number and called them myself. And they said, that anything that can be done about it, would be done at store level. So in other words - if they wanted to do it, they could of.Normally, I would not have a problem with it, but from the moment I walked in with a N.F. bag and mentioned about returning it, I was given an attitude and the same answer over and over again...there is nothing I can do about it.... Very BAD customer service, attitude and no willingness to find a solution for a client that could come back and purchase something in the future. Well, I will never step foot in that store! And I will continue to contact their customer service until someone does something about it. If not, I will continue to post reviews.... When I worked in retail, the 1st thing that I was told was that making the customer happy is our 1st priority so we can insure that they return in the future. Well, not sure who trained these 2, but certainly did not tell them that they need to make their customers happy....Or at least try to....I saw the comments on this page that I am not the only one that complained about their attitude...and poor customer service.Too bad...good brand, very bad customer service!

Nice boutique-style NF shop. Small and easily navigated, very helpful and friendly staff. Stopped by for those North Face/Vans collab hi-tops - sold out online - and was in and out in minutes on a Friday evening. A quick & easy shopping trip!Shopping note: the NF/Vans winterized hi-tops are on my top 10 sneaker list. Absolutely perfect for Chicago winters, they definitely live up to their claims, actually do keep your toes warm, and, most importantly, they are super-cool looking!

Complaint about Citaly!!! I had purchase a coat and other items over $650 we paid..one of the coats just was not warm enough, went back to exchange for a heavier even more expensive .walking in the door this woman had an attitude. Giving us a hard time that it was used and could not help us. She wanted it in a bag.and other complaints. It was bought put in a bag.taken put and worn one time for maybe 10 min in the cold .then taken back.she finally agreed to give an exception she said. Very rude. So they missed out on another sale becouse of her.

Welcomed addition to Bucktowns growing outdoor/appeal stores. Have everything you need with a friendly knowledgeable staff. Come here to get what is sold out online and at the larger flagship stores. If they have them in stock, get the location only TNF shirts with the longitude/latitude for the store. Great for gifts or as a go to weekend shirt to rep Chicago.

From the front it looks like a pretty small store but thankfully the store is deeper than it looks from the outside.We were looking for some ski equipment and if this store didn’t have it, they recommended that we go to the larger store on Michigan Ave.

I am a fan of North Face and I have been in their Old Orchard, Evanston and Michigan Ave locations before, but some of the staff in this store (I dealt with Citlaly - and I saw that someone else seems to have had a bad experience with her before) lack the basic essentials of customer service. But they do have attitude and they are not helpful at all. I will never set foot in this store again! I can spend my money somewhere else... I certainly do not need the attitude, no willingness to help and no product knowledge! Plus their selection is not great either...
