Firestone was great. I took my car in because another shop recommended an extremely expensive repair that I wasnt sure was necessary. I worked with Javier and Martin to check things out and they were fantastic. Martin explained what was likely going on and why the repair the other shop was recommending was not needed. I really appreciated their honesty. Ill definitely go back to Firestone for any future repairs.

Made an 11am appointment for an AC check. Clerk stared it would be 30-45 minutes to complete the service. I left my car. Received no contact after the allotted time for service. At the back to check on the status of the car at 12pm. Clerk reported not starting on my car and told me it would be another 45 minutes to an hour. Returned at 1:20pm and the car still had not been started on. Nobody available to discuss the service or move cars to get my car out so I waited another 15 minutes before somebody returned to the service desk. Would NEVER return here. Terrible customer service and poor service.

I called not even 5 minutes before I got there and was told that he could fix a flat tire, when I arrived the guy at the front desk was being so rude to us and told us to leave and to look at his lot and for us to tell him if we could actually get our car fixed. I have never had to experience something like this and the car we had was our only mode of transportation. DO NOT GO HERE!!

Be careful with their “bait and switch” pricing. I got a quote over the phone for a synthetic oil change, and was very specific about the car model and year. When I got there the price jumped by 50 pct because “it requires more than 5 quarts and the oil filter is an additional $28”. As a result, I took my business to a reputable outfit nearby, which charged nearly the same that Firestone initially quoted over the phone.

I have been here twice. The experience was bad the first time, and the second time significantly worse. The appointments dont mean anything, and neither do the updates that are provided by the people who work here. I arrived at 2:25pm for my 2:30pm appointment and at 4pm had to leave because the car was not started. Overall this was an extremely unpleasant experience. Do not recommend.

Horrible service. Don’t bother making an appointment online. I booked an appointment for an oil change and received a confirmation with the below message. Arrived for my appointment to be told they couldn’t service my car. No one contacted me to let me know they couldn’t service my car. Instead they waited for me to arrive and acted like I was in the wrong for booking an appointment online. JiffyLube 2366 N Clybourn had us in and out, great and friendly customer service there- give them your business instead.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The shop is very busy a lot it seems, so expect delays to be common. Despite that, theres a lot of free checks and other services included with many of the popular work done that adds great benefit keeping your car healthy. Would definitely work with this shop again.

Extremely disappointed. Wish I could give it no stars. Came in to only replace the front 2 tires. When I drove off my car was making a strange sound that it wasn’t when brought in. I took it to my usual mechanic. He found that Firestone had taken out my air filter and just set it on top of my engine. There was no reason they should have been messing with the filter for a tire change. Cost me additional money to take it to another mechanic to correct Firestone’s mistake.

I went in on Saturday because my low-pressure light was on, and they promptly and happily checked and filled my tires. I then asked the gentleman helping me if he thought that I needed new tires. He told me that he felt that I probably had a year left on them. Thanks for that honesty. The dealer had tried to sell my wife tires that last time that it was in the shop. How much did that cost? Nothing! He said that he looked for a leak and could not find one, but suggested that it would be a good idea to have the tire checked. I made an appointment for the next day. No waiting. When he could not find the leak, he asked for the wheel lock. He and another worker spent 15 minutes looking in every nook and cranny in my car. When they couldnt find the wheel lock, they apologized and explained that I should take the vehicle to the dealer who could get me new wheel locks. How much did this cost? Not one penny! Honesty, hard work, and friendly people. I will never go anywhere else for tires in the future.

Dangerously incompetent: They changed my daughters tire and sold her a new alignment but didnt tell her that her control arms and wheel bearings were dangerous and needed immediate replacement . Beware

They do great work here helped me track down many problems with my car and didnt charge me for alot of it. Rich is a great manager always made sure I got the work done I needed.

Commonly use Firestone since I bought 4 tires there, they have plenty of locations and overall have had good experiences.I will not be coming back to this location. On the last visit they couldn’t diagnose the issue with my car then still told me they had to charge the diagnostic fee just for “looking at it” even though they couldn’t figure out what was wrong. (Must be a nice industry to work in...). Fortunately I took it to a Firestone in the burbs. They figured it out and waived their diagnostic fee.This visit asked for a synthetic oil change and tire rotation. Got regular oil change and no tire rotation. Frustrating spending $20 in uber to and from.. and now have to make another visit for something I had asked for done.

This was a quick visit for an oil change. Had appointment at 5p. Got there 509p. Said it would be 1h 30min wait. Got to me in about 40 mins. Said it would be 20 mins for the oil change. Was done in 15 mins. I was gone by 615p. Great service. Friendly staff.

This place was a rip off

Pretty standard Firestone. Good prices, good work. They do try to sell you on unnecessary services on occasion, but its not nearly as frequent nor egregious as the Jiffy Lubes of the world. I havent had any issues over the last 3 years these guys have been working on my car so Ill continue using them for general maintenance.

In an out within a few hours for all four tires changed. Front desk staff was very helpful.

I cant even make an appointment without receiving poor customer service. After reading other reviews, it appears that this Firestone location buys tools, as well as hires them. I wont pay for service here.

I drive a fleet vehicle. My work location has 3 vehicles and for general service, this Firestone location is where we come to. The work and customer service has been very good. I give credit to the fellows that work here. Considering the large number of customers that they have, they are very courteous and patient.

Got tires for my car and they treated me nice and the job didnt take that long.

Rich and the rest of the team have been amazing. Had a problem with my breaks and he was able to take me same day I called. Told me about things that would need to be replaced in the future but explained what was urgent and what could be done subsequently. The tech had me drive the car so he could see firsthand what my concerns were. When I found out that my brake problem had gotten worse they had me back promptly for further repairs, without further charges. Honest folks. Will bring my car back again when needed.

The entire staff at Firestone makes me feel welcomed and are very friendly, efficient. And professional. They listen to my problem and suggest the appropriate repair and fully explain what is required and the time involved. I am always kept informed of the progress and alerted if anything else needs to be attended to. I am extremely pleased with this Firestone!

Horrible experience took 3 hours for a oil change and tire rotation. Dont know if it has something to do with my maintenance voucher but yeah never again. Highly recommend going somewhere else

A much better experience than my usual stop. Took the time to actually explain what was wrong, what needed fixing, and what might need fixing in the future without trying to force me into extra services right then and there. A longer drive but definitely my new go to spot.

While grocery shopping at nearby Whole Foods - I left my car flashing and spent a bit more time than anticipated leading to a dead battery. I knew there was a Firestone a few blocks away and called and asked if they offered any remote jump service. They said they do not - but if I want to come by and leave an ID I could take their portable box jumper. Ran over, picked up box and within in 10 mins I was back to return and get my ID back. The staff was super nice and warned me if temps under 50 degrees to be careful flashing. There was no charge for the charge - literally! Very nice if them indeed.

I was very pleasantly surprised with this particular Firestone location. Martin, the person who did my wheel alignment, took his time and did it perfectly. My steering is all within manufacturers spec and the steering wheel is finally centered (Ive had alignments done in the past but the steering wheel was always off). Everyone from the counter, manager, and the tech were very friendly. This is by far the best Firestone I have been to, and I will be coming back here even though its further than two other ones near my place. Thank you!

Nice staff giving you advice and if possible they encourage you to follow up on sales coming up. Very busy store, there is a waiting area also.

The staff at this location is superb. Some of the best customer service Ive ever experienced especially when it comes to getting my car cared for and serviced. Everyone from the manager to the car technicians have always been ready to take care of me and my car answering all of my questions and explaining answers thoroughly. Cant say enough good stuff.

Great experience at this location (909 W North Ave) after a horrible visit to another Firestone (6211 N Lincoln). This location not only verified that all parts were in stock but also took my appointment 1 day in advance. The day of service, they were efficient, honest and professional. They were even able to fix a wiper blade that the other location told me couldnt be fixed. I am very pleased and will definitely be back. If you go there, talk to Daniel Q. Hes great!

They were great! They really worked with me to get my tire changed when I was on a tight schedule. They got the work done fast and the price was reasonable.

I booked an appointment at 10:30 for oil change, I arrived at 10:25 and they started working on my car 11:30. In addition to wasting my time.The technician said everything is perfect and you’re good to go. I drove my car out of the store and the car started to overheat and I saw fumes coming out of my car which never happened to me before. The coolant water was splattered all over the hood and I found that the coolant reservoir cap and coil were missing. This is the worst experience I ever had, I was supposed to go meet with clients my whole day got screwed and when I talked to the guy he said we’re not responsible for that and he was so rude as if I’m making it up and trying to get free stuff. He told me prove that it’s the fault of our technician and you didn’t come to us with the car like that. And that he get many weird customers telling him the weirdest stories trying to get something out of it. I live 5 miles away from firestone it would be impossible to arrive there with no reservoir cap in 96 F without the car overheating and the engine break down. This is ridiculous, I would expect such thing from a junk yard on the side of the road not from a legitimate place. I would never recommend that place unless they want their parts to be stolen or their cars ruined. Horrible place and horrible customer services.

Dont waste your time here. I had an enterprise car rental that needed an oil change badly, so I was told to go to any Firestone and they would do it for free. The wait for a STUPID OIL CHANGE, an HOUR TO AN HOUR AND A HALF!!! Like what the heck??? Its not a body repair. Just a simple oil change. Its recommended to Go to Jiffy Lube!!! Cheaper and quicker.

Just needed two new tires and they didnt try to over sell me anything. I asked them to rotate the new ones to the back, but when I came in around closing time to pick it up, they forgot to do it. I told them about it and they threw it on the lift real quick and stayed after hours to get it done.

The service is great. And the staff is very detailed. they take the time to listen to you and advice you what issues and what repairs your vehicle might need.

I been back twice battery was dead both time charge $26.00 bad battery.

Would not recommend buying tires from here. You pay extra here for the hazard warranty that for no additional cost is included in purchase price from Costco and Discount tire. This is the prorated tire replacement warranty. At discount tire for a similar price you get a more complete hazard warranty that replaces the tires at no additonal cost to customer for the life of the tire.

My friend and I had to take her car here to get an unexpected flat repair done because when we tried changing it other spare one of the lug nuts was stripped.. We got it towed to this location and as the tow guy unloaded the car the workers at firestone told us they had no time to do it because they were so busy. We arent from the area so of course we got worried because we were stuck there. The workers somehow managed to get her car fixed in about an hour and a half and we were on our way! I highly recommend them to everyone!! They did a great job, and the staff was very friendly. Im so glad we took it to them and they were nice enough to squeeze us in!

Horrible experience. I was greeted by a frustrated mechanic after an appt I made was already cancelled by the shop. When I finally came in just for a leaky tire which took two hours, the headlight on the same side that the mechanics were working on the front passenger side, was out. The bulbs are brand new just installed in January of that year. Its a Chevy Malibu so the whole bumper has to come off just to change the bulb. The whole scenario was strange and they just basically room no responsibility. The light were working when I drove into the place.

I took my Accord to this Firestone because one of the wheel bearings needed to be replaced. I was told by the mechanic that not only did the wheel bearing need to be replaced, the front rotors and brake pads on my car were rusting and needed to be replaced. And while we were at it, I might as well get the brake fluid replaced. All in all, this would cost approximately $500.I took it to a Honda dealer for a second opinion, and not only did they did not find any rust, they said the rotors and brakes still had approximately 50% of their life remaining. In other words, they did not need to be replaced. This isnt the first time I have had a Firestone push unnecessary maintenance (a different location) and I am outraged that I was almost ripped off. I will be taking my future business elsewhere and suggest you do the same. Even if this means having to take my car to the suburbs.

HORRIBLE !!!I took my car here to get fixed. THEY had 2 days to discover what was wrong . And they told me they fixed the problem.. soon as i got home I turned my car off and when i tried to leave my car didnt want to start again! So basically the problem was never fixed because theres no way I just got my car towed to your shop to get it fixed and its still doing the same exact thing !!! They fixed one cable cord but not the other one .... and the redd cord is the one that needed attention! And I paid almost 300 for their service and theres nothing they can do about it. Well only if I pay another 300 dollars!!I would never spend money at this place again

Super shady. Service manager told me I had no brake pads life left and couldnt drive without replacing them. Went to the dealer and actually had 4mm left on ALL pads. Put new Megatron battery that is now being replaced by another Firestone location not even a year old. I guess the battery was defective. But stay away from this location until shadeballs get replaced

I ordered my tires there from autorack, and had my tires installed there. The service was ok, but then they tried to upsell me on everything possible, starting with new brakes and pads, then new air filters, then new wipers.

Unprofessional and basic; when I was going to leave a $600 wheel to get the tire on it repaired they wouldnt give me a claim ticket or invoice. When I asked for one the desk guy had a meltdown and threw a signed invoice on the counter. I laughed in his face and took my business to a dealer, for less money.

Have a guy you know call in for you. I’m forced to go here in a pinch but they talk to me like I’m incompetent and quote me a couple hundred dollars more than when I’ve had my boyfriend call in for me. I thought that was a myth with repair shops but I guess not.

Theres a sign in the front window advertising a clearance special on selected tires. When I asked about the clearance tires advertisement, the salesman said there isnt anything on clearance. So the million dollar question is why do you have a advertisement for a clearance special in your front window when you dont have any tires on clearence!
