Nice little scam they run here. They advertise a $99 brake job, then quote you for “only” $299 because they’re having a “special.” I asked why it was $200 more than advertised and the guy say that price is only for older cars. I drive an ‘11 RAV-4, a decade-old model of the most-purchased car in North America that isn’t a pickup (4th overall). If the sign doesn’t apply to my car, then to whose does it?So I say no thanks, just the oil change ($45, just for conventional). I get rung up for $75. Where’d the extra $30 come from? “For the inspection.” I didn’t need an inspection, I already told you my brakes were grinding.In all fairness, he was genuinely friendly. I felt at home immediately. But guys: take the sign down if you don’t actually offer $99 brake jobs, and don’t charge $30 when you trick people into coming in. But hey, if you’re driving around a ‘92 Dodge Caravan, check this place out!Makes me think their advertised $199 deal on used tires is only for bicycles.

This place is by far the best repair shop and not to mention the owners give reasonable prices on fixes and happen to also be very considerate on what you need done and time management. I have an 05 Volkswagen Golf. I called this place on Friday 2/8/19 and they did not answer the phone as Lincoln Automotive, but as Chicago Brakes and I had to ask if it was Lincoln Automotive. I described my car situation (the window had fallen into the door) and brought it to them. They went inside the drivers side door and fixed the window regulator (they said the motor was fine) and had it back to me by noon on Saturday 2/9/19. The woman tried to run my card for payment before going over the charges to me and no one could find the damaged part. I tried out the window, it worked. I noticed the new lock on the door (this one has a light, my others do not, but I figured this was a part of the regulator and I didnt drive it until today 2/11/19. Today, this morning my key hole was like falling out when I turn the key and the wiring is acting crazy. I call them and they say, Im so sorry, that shouldnt be happening, bring it in and well fix it in 45 minutes. I thought this was weird because I dont know how you predict what the issue is and how long it will take, but this is what Julio says. I brought it in and another guy looks at it and says, No, I didnt touch this part of the car. Mind you, they were inside the drivers side front door just a day ago and there is a new lock on the door so they obviously were in that part of the car. His boss, Julio, the owners son, comes and looks at it and says that its not their fault. He gives an analogy that If I do an oil change and the car dies the next day, thats not my fault. Mind you there are all men here treating me like Im an insane person. Its never fun being the only woman in a room of men who are trying to swindle you. He pulls the key hole OUT and its all broken and he tells me theyll need to keep my car for 3 days and that they wont know the issue until they look inside. I tell them they were just inside the car and I have a hard time believing that they didnt catch this, especially since I know they have to have been using the key to get in and out of the car at some point. I tell them Im not comfortable paying for them to assess an issue they shouldve caught when they were already inside the car. He then pretends to talk to his father on the phone and tells me they will only charge me 25% of the labor or the issue. He tells me its going to need a new key hole and new wiring and that the new coding will likely cost like $300 - all of this WITHOUT LOOKING INSIDE THE CAR. For me, I feel like if you could justify the issue, you wouldnt be playing this game of offering me a discount unless you knew you did something crooked. I left there and will never go back. I highly recommend everyone avoid this place at all costs.

I called Julio at Lincoln Automotive Group today after getting a flat tire on the road. He told me to come in and that he would fix it immediately. When I arrived, his guys were working on a car and he had them stop what they were doing and do a quick repair on my tire for a very reasonable price. He checked my brakes and tires and gave me an honest estimate and time frame for a new set of tires in the near future. He was very kind and I recommend his business.

These guys are great! I take all of my vehicles here and they are always professional, courteous and timely. Their tech Telmo most recently changed a belt and the belt tensioner on my truck and I am very pleased with the results.

Great service, great staff, and great turnaround time.Arrived there, met the manager, and he sent a mechanic to inspect my tires. Got their 400 special and requested an oil change. Took them around an hour to finish the work from start to finish. Tire alignment was recommended, so I may stop by there soon for that service.

Went in for new rear Brake pads which work great and, Joe for no charge at all corrected my tires because a tire shop had my wheels rolling backwards. Will be back!

Came here on a whim to get my grinding brakes fixed. They fully looked at my car, gave me an oil change, tied up my splash guard on bottom of car from when I hit a box spring mattress on a highway, they also UPGRADED the standard brakes to the lifetime warranty ones free of charge and rotated my tires!!! And got it for the most amazing deal! Will definitely be back! I wish I could give a 10 star review of how well I am being treated at this place! 😁 highly recommended.

I stopped in this business without an appointment because I had a nail in my tire and I needed it repaired in a timely manner. I spoke with the owner (Im assuming) who was very nice, accommodating, and able to have my tire fixed right away. Within 20 minutes I had my tire repaired, the other tires were filled with air, and was out the door on my way. Im very satisfied with this service and their friendliness.

I have limited knowledge of cars and what things should cost, so for the sake of transparency: on Wednesday 12/26 I had my burnt three point clutch removed and replaced, along with a clutch valve that had sprung a leak. They clearly laid out my options, got back to me within 2 hours with an accurate estimate, and I had my car back in working order with friendly service within 24 hours, no complaints and the car seems to be working just fine. The total cost of the service was 1097$, which although seemed pricey was my only option under emergency circumstances, and once again, I’m not hugely privvy to the median price of parts and services, so I’ll let you make your own decisions on that. All in all, I was very happy with my service!

My favorite place in Chicago. I went in for an oil change and they checked some other things as well. They gave me a detailed list of everything else that was wrong and quotes to fix them, but didnt do anything without my permission. Their prices were great as well, as far as anything other than diy. Highly recommended to check out your car if you want it running perfectly.

Great family owned place. They do pretty decent work. Replaced my water pump, started leaking on me again months later, no problems replacing it under warranty even though I had no receipt. Replaced my radiator hoses same day, just had to tighten up a leaky hose clamp I found a few days later. Never bought tires only mechanical issues, maybe I will in the future. Only issue Ive had is I requested a tow, left them the key for driver, they told me the truck was on its way and I saw guys pushing my vehicle. I mean I had to get it up there but I felt it was a little dishonest not telling me they couldnt get a tow truck. I couldve paid anyone less money to push my car a block. I just like to know up front what Im paying for. Like I said good people but my last experience left a bad taste.

I’ve been a customer of Lincoln Automotive for some years. I didn’t have a reason to visit them in some years, but I was recently gifted a vehicle that was in need of some tlc. Spoke with Julio before the holiday and made him aware of my issues. Julio advised that they were closed for the holiday, but would be back open on Jan.2. Brought in my gifted vehicle and needless to say that Julio, Bonnie, and Telmo worked their magic. They resolved my issue without question and completed the repair in what felt like an hour. Will continue to bring my vehicle to Julio, Bonnie, and Telmo at Lincoln Automotive whenever there is an issue.

My tire pressure light went off in my car and stop by the shop to get it checked out. They quickly diagnosed the problem which was a screw in the tire and patched it up in less then 20 minutes only for $25. Its my first experience here and Im truly pleased. Will definitely stop by again!

My husband and I took our car in for an oil change. It was pretty reasonably priced and we didnt have to wait too long for them to finish up. We didnt have any extensive work done so I dont know about that, but we would go back for another oil change.

What a RIPOFF Place I told the owner that my car wheel is messed up. He asked why do you think so I explain that I hit the back wheel and the wheel feels bad he told me wheel alignment payed 80$ . I Tried a different mechanic family friend mechanic and he said that the owner should of seen that that the wheel is way off no wheel alignment can’t fix that the guy didn’t touch anything in the alignment in the first place and that I should get my money back. It was crazy how fast they quote did an alignment on my car. I explain that to the guy so I can get my money back he said no that he did his job and that I should try my insurance to fix the problem He told me to sue him.

The worse place to buy tires. I bought a set of 4 tires after 6000 miles of use one of the tires got damage and they dont want the replace they said theres no warranty. I recommend to go to a place where you can have a warranty. Very bad experience in this place.👎👎

Dropped by here because my car had screws in two different tires. In about ten minutes they had fixed one and told me that the other screw hadnt actually penetrated the tire. Only charged for one, which was nice!

I had trouble passing emissions. Stopped in at another station for a quote first and then stopped into Lincoln Automotive since it was right by my apartment. Two completely different ways of approaching the problem. Julio, the owner, assured me he had been doing this for 49 years and started with the easy (less costly) fix. Just before going for the test, he had me go over and do a diagnostic to make sure all was well. I PASSED! Thank you guys!

This is a family-run place (formerly known as Lincoln Automotive Group) that offers quality, friendly service and very fair, transparent pricing. I had planned on replacing my own rear caliper and rear rotors/brake pads, but I ran into a snag while underneath the car and needed professional tools to get the job done right. They were willing to use my parts (provided I agree to a reasonable request to be held liable for issues that might cause a need for any further repair at an additional cost) and gave me a complete and accurate rundown of their labor costs. Ended up being right on the money. Everything went smoothly, and it took a little less than a couple hours to repair - just enough time to walk down the street and enjoy a nice meal at the Shawarma Inn! Brake system has been working great for over a week now. Thank you guys for your professionalism and for going above and beyond! I will be coming back!

Not happy. My vehicle went haywire and accidently went into theft mode, where the theft light was flashing on and off – the car would no longer start. I called Lincoln Automotive and I informed them of the issue – Julio informed me that the “computer needed reprogramming,” which they could do. As agreed, I had the vehicle towed on Sunday to their lot and left my key in their key slot. I called them around 2pm the next day on Monday, since I hadn’t heard from them – I was told that 2 mechanics called in sick, so they couldn’t get to my car. I got a call on Tuesday morning and was told that my “car was fixed.” I picked up my car and the theft mode light was off – they said that my battery wasn’t holding the charge (just so you know I have never ever had any battery issues). They charged my battery and off I went directly to my garage and left it there overnight. The next morning I got into my car and it started – the battery worked with no issue. All of a sudden smoke started coming out of my hood – it smelled like rubber. I turned off my car and it went into theft mode again, meaning that I was unable to turn my car back on again. I was dumbfounded because I have never ever had any mechanical issues or battery issues since I’ve owned my car. I was wondering,” what did they do to my car?” - it can’t be a coincidence that the minute I take my car to get the theft mode issue fixed, that all of sudden smoke is coming out of my car. I immediately called Julio at 8:45am that same morning and told him what happened. I asked what they specifically did to fix the the theft mode issue? When I initially picked up my car, I asked Joe, the son, and all he said was that the issue was a battery or door related issue that caused the theft mode. Julio then said that they “reprogrammed the computer” and that he “made a list of all the things that were wrong with my car,” and that it could have been the A/C compressor or the battery that caused the smoke in my hood – he even mentioned that I needed new tires as if the tires were the cause of the issue. I asked for my money back since he didn’t fix the issue. I even asked if they could come to my house to look at my car, so that I wouldn’t have to pay to get it towed again (I don’t live that far from there). Julio said, ”we don’t go to people’s houses and I’m not giving you your money back, since the car was fixed when you picked it up.” I told him that I wanted my money back, since they didn’t fix the issue and that I did not want to spend additional money to have the car towed to him again. I would have rather taken it somewhere else since clearly they did something to my vehicle that caused smoke to come out of my car. He then said he needed to go and hung up. I would have continued going back to him for auto repairs if he was reasonable or understanding that he did not fix my car and they caused additional damage. BTW - he charged me $250 to supposedly “reprogram my computer” - who knows what they did. Waste of money. Read their Yelp reviews, so you can see their negative reviews. Do not go here - apparently the son is sketchy and cannot be trusted.

I came here in early January to get a new battery. It didnt hold up in the frigid temps weve had this winter, so I took my car back in to request a replacement.
