Chanel store management could do more to ensure that their staff is more customer focused and friendly. While I was in the store, I did feel observed and was not comfortable walking around the store.Im not going to say that all the staff was horrible, but there was the person who was supposed to be assisting me, but as soon as I told her what I was looking for, she pretty much checked out and handed me off to another associate. For being a boutique store, I would expect a higher-level of customer service.If you want to visit the store, you can walk-in. They have heat lamps and plastic (upscale) sheeting protecting you from the elements while you wait. However, depending on the time/date, you may be waiting outside for up to 1/2 hour or more.Final note, the upstairs bathroom is a sight to behold. Floor to ceiling marble in a pinkish hue. For a public restroom, its pretty fancy. Shoutout to the staff member who told me to check it out.

Went in without an appointment on a Wednesday afternoon. Limited capacity Im store so ended up waiting outside over an hour, kind of expected that from the reviews. Had a royal Karen behind me the whole time got to hear as she complained about her credit score and the long wait for the duration. Nice staff helpful when I went In, Melanie was my fashion assistant and made the process easy. Cool store on the inside! Would return but recommend making an appointment.

Basic sales 101, don’t pre judge anybody who is about to drop money and have dropped a lot at your establishment. Majority of the sales associates lack. The associates were all too busy talking amongst themselves rather than getting this money. For anybody looking to drop serious money; consider elsewhere! Save yourself the stress. You’ve been warned.

I had the best experience at this Chanel. Vivian is an AMAZING employee. She’s very welcoming and energetic, it makes me love going to Chanel every time. I got a wallet on chain for my birthday and I didn’t like it. I ended up returning and having to wait until something I truly loved came in. I told Vivian what I was looking for, and I literally didn’t remind her for like 3 weeks to a month. And as soon as the item I was looking for came in, she texted me right away by herself. That showed me that she cared about me as a client and what I was looking for. She’s very very helpful. Me and my sister have been there numerous times and I felt the same positive energy every single time.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! When I bought in the store, the person didn’t put the item under my profile, and when I tried to return, the CS agent said they couldn’t find it under my profile, I gave them the style id on the receipt, and the agent told me the store will contact for shipping back the item(I’m not living in Chicago), but I called twice, the store still didn’t contact me at all. It took me more than two hours for the call already, I won’t call again, but couldn’t believe this is the customer service for Chanel!

Chanel experience is really dependent on the sales person. I’ve shopped here for the last few years and has had great customer service with Kevin and Paul who both are no longer there. Called corporate and asked that their manager call me to discuss about a few items that I had reserved but never heard from. After multiple calls to corporate office and talking to Chanel corporate manager Linette (this took more than one month). Finally one sales person at the Chicago store texted me and her name was Karolína. I had asked to reserve two bags but her response was something along the lines of warning me that those bags were very limited and hard to come by. And that it requires a credit card to reserve. After I’ve given her the credit card information and asked if anything else was needed she did not respond to my text.Purchasing a Chanel bag should be a nice shopping experience. I love those bags but the service does not justify. So when the bags came in and she finally responded back, I declined to buy from her.I’ll still shop at that store if I’m in Chicago but will not be her which I’m sure she cares less about.Don’t be afraid to switch to different sales associate to find the one that clicks with you, responsive and respectful.My current sales associate at Neiman Marcus is wonderful and she once said to me that she’ll work hard for me and get me the bags I like. I’ve been going back to her since and have her order bags for me even from other stores when she does not have it. When I’m not buying big ticket items I get small things from her just to appreciate her. When new things come in she always send me pictures so I could shop via phone. Her name is Vicki at the Chanel store in Troy Michigan.The two stars are for Paul.

Chanel Oak Street represents a fine return to form for the luxury retail in-person shopping experience. Expect to make an appointment prior to your visit to experience this beautiful showroom, as walk-ins are subject to capacity. The staff is friendly and human, paying special attention to social distancing, masks, and sanitizer. I wandered in on a whim after being lucky enough to be invited in from a walk-in. I was helped with fragrances by an associate who knew the brand and their suggestions left no doubt in my mind after purchase. Also amazing to see the J12 Paradoxe limited edition watch on display. A true classic hiding in plain sight and easily worth the effort to make a stop as the holidays approach.

Due to bad experience with the sales associate, I finally decided to discontinue waiting for any incoming stock nor style, and turn around to Dior. A brand’s image is destroyed by the sales associate and hunger marketing.If you think you’re the most welcomed brand for over mid-class girls, with my feet, purse and bag, I prove that, you are too simple and spoiled.I came for nice products and happy experience, not for cynical tongue from a sales that even can’t remember leather type of their product.Bye bye, NO until I met some professional sales.

I tried to come to this store today and immediately had to pick up my face. They are still taking appointments for entering into the store. My problem comes when you are standing outside looking confused because you have no idea what is going on. The folks at the door aren’t really concerned with communicating the stores message on Pandemic Protocol Safety. There was a couple in front of me that had an appointment but was being ignored and eventually left. I didn’t have an appointment but felt the door staff should of been in communication and available for questioning. They assisted one couple and left me and the other couple outside to deal with ourselves and basically get over it!! Make yourselves MORE available to your customers and be in a position visibly at all times to communicate and available for questions concerns etc... I will be coming back but only when this Pandemic thing allows for us to come in without an appointment. By the way, I didn’t see a whole lot of activity in that store for what transpired outside!!!

These CHANEL shoes are two different sizes. I couldnt understand how these shoes were soo painful until a friend took one out of the box 3 years after I bought them.$1,200.00 oops that haunts my closet.Manager was dismissive amd condescending, claiming they were worn and old. .. like I said, Im sorry this happened to you... while nodding yes.They were unworn because of the poor fit and old because I expected more from CHANEL .So, when shopping at a CHANEL BOUTIQUE make sure to inspect purchases before and after payment.

The worst customer service ever. Just waited in line with 2 of my sisters for almost 40 minutes and they said only 2 can come in because of the limited of the capacity which is understandable because of COVID. So I waited for almost another 40 minutes and once I got in to see my sister and sat down for literally not even 2 seconds. One of the employees asked me to leave because they can only have a party of 2 but did not mentioned that when we have literally told them at the door that we have 3 people. So basically they made me wait for hours for nothing. Absolutely ridiculous. No apology no nothing! Not to mentioned there were a group of family that have 5 people were in there and just sitting with no mask on but they are perfectly fine with that. Very unacceptable! Not to mention my sister just spent $6,200 like get better ! Your stuff are so expensive but you treated customers like trash!

I called ahead to make an appointment, but they made a mistake and booked my appointment in Boston instead of Chicago. Rather than admitting their mistake, they made me wait in line. After waiting for 20 mins, I got in and was greeted by a “stylist.” They were rather rude when answering basic questions. I’ve been to many Chanel boutiques around the globe, but this was the worst one so far.

I was nervous to go after reading some of the reviews. I’ve had my eye on a bag for a year, and decided to just go and give it a try. I did not have an appointment, but they got me right in, and had exactly what I wanted. Service was very good, friendly staff (all of them!). I have found with these luxury retail stores it really helps to do your homework. Know what you want to look at, because they will ask. They are not setup to efficiently handle casual foot traffic and window shoppers. Next time I’m ready for more Chanel, I will be back!

The worst costumer service Ive ever had. My advisor helping my wife and I was pretty nice, her name was Natacha. However here were the problems: the Gestapo security workers were breathing over our shoulders the whole time. My wife was trying on necklaces for over 3K and her mask accidentally fell below her nose a couple of times. The second it was below her nose, which she didnt even have time to fix, the Gestapo came right in front of my face and told us if her mask goes below her nose again we will be kicked out of the store. We felt offended!!!!. Also if youre planning to spend a lot of money there be aware that you only have 45 min. to complete your purchase and you will be reminded every 5 min how much time you have left. Never ever going to this location again!!!

Flew in from Virginia over the weekend and immediately located this CHANEL. A little hard to find because I walked but the staff here were great. The didnt have the purse I wanted because it was sold out throughout CHANEL but I purchased some gorgeous earrings. The representative helped me the entire time and didnt try to run off and assist others just to make a sale.

I told her I would rather wait for him as I had questions. She insisted I talk to her!! If I wanted to talk to her I would have asked to speak to anyone. She would not take no for an answer. Staff executes pride, presentation, & utmost enthusiasm of the most prestigious signature brand. I made a mere purchase of Chanel no.5 lotion & it was the red carpet treatment /welcome mat intact! Such an unfortunate experience at this store. Coming in from out of town, I was extremely excited to walk in and make my first purchase. I was inside for 15 minutes and not one associate acknowledged me, even though there were no other customers in the store. After asking for help from a sales associate named Allegra, I find out the earrings I wanted they did not have in stock. No big deal - I’ve had that experience numerous times at other designer stores where they need to locate a particular item. After assuring me I would be contacted the next day, I patiently wait for an update.After not hearing anything the whole day, I text for an update, only to be told that they were too busy that day and that I would hear something today. I can understand that - sometimes the day gets away from you. I’m promised I’ll hear something by the morning the next day. Afternoon comes and haven’t heard anything so I check in again. Only to be told again that they were too busy today. On top of that the sales associate was going on vacation, but she would connect me with someone else to assist me. Ok fine. Although annoyed, I say I’m looking forward to hearing from them. She then tells me that he may too busy this weekend, but that he will reach out ASAP. At this point I’ve now been told three times that they were too busy for me, so I canceled the potential sale. Extremely frustrating process, and I’m happy to take my business to another company that has better customer service.At the end of the day, you know a Chanel doesn’t care about this loss, but hoping this will at least encourage others to purchase from another location or even brand. Lou’s Vuitton has always had great associates.

Worst customer service. I bought a freaking lipstick and it caused such chaos and confusion, Im not sure if the sale associate is competent at all. I was not given any details or receipt. I was promised 2 day shipping. I called after days of not receiving my lipstick, and the sales associate told me it wasnt ordered for some reason with no clear explanation. STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT DAYS AFTER THE CONVERSATION and now Ive been on hold for 30 minutes with nothing. Im not sure why Im the one tracking down this when I am the customer. Very disappointing. I did not know that Chanel was this incompetent and disorganized. I would advise to not buy anything that requires shipping.

But if you are dress all simple or casual with jeans and a simple shirt they assume that you cant afford to purchase anything so judgemental. This store has really gone downhill since moving locations and half the employees leaving. They just can not seem to get it together in any way shape or form.I’ve called several times after finding out the people I normally apparently are no longer with the company.(after no one was willing to help me on the phone and continued putting me on hold) They have “temp” employees working there who are extremely rude, have absolutely no idea what’s going on at all. at first I was ignored for awhile, then finally someone was able to help.I inquired about a few bags and was shown a beat up floor model, being told that’s “all we have right now” then I was mocked when I asked about a bag in which I didn’t know the name and also told I was too “young” for another certain bag I liked. I got so fed up with the attitude and lack of inventory and the employees lack of understanding of what I wanted after I showed several pictures, eventually I just gave up and walked out.

I had a terrible experience with a sales associate named Gia at this location yesterday. She was insolent and condescending. She would greatly benefit from training in body language, tone and delivery. Unfortunately, even the kindness of another associate (Chris) was unable to make up for her poor behavior. In contrast, the boutique in San Francisco took care of my needs immediately and apologized for their colleague. The San Francisco location is where my family and I shop and this will continue to be the case in the future.

I know Chanel usually has not so good customer service, however, the Chicago boutique just blowed my mind today. The service I received is more than rude and professional. Thanks for rejecting my business so that I can save more. This boutique is bigger in size and collection, but, consider order with your local sales associate if the service is extremely bad. By the end of the day, purchasing luxury items is beyond just items itself, its also about the service.

Just purchased a handbag from another location. It was shipped from the Chicago boutique. The bag arrived without tags, without padding, without wraps, and with multiple imperfections. There were three of this item in stock, but apparently the SA here think it is acceptable to send out products that are in worse condition than display models. It is actually appalling they would even think to ship this item to a customer in such a ridiculously careless and imperfect manner for the price. Needless to say I am returning the item and will never purchase an item from any Chanel if it has to ship from the Chicago location. Deserves 0 stars.

The staff can be a little dry, but very friendly and helpful (just not warm). The store is so beautiful and everything inside is unique. Chanel is the epitome of luxury, and even though you may not be able to afford many things in the store, the staff treat you as though you can. They carry the full line of makeup and also the fine and costume jewellery. Its worth the trip for a lip gloss, mascara, or some No. 5 just to experience so much luxe.To the person who complained about not being able to return an item without a receipt,Chanel fragrances are sold even at Macys. Its standard to require a proof of purchase for return, and if it truly was a gift from the Chanel boutique, it would have been unmistakable.

Unfortunately this boutique attracts a lot of tourist so often times youre given a rushed service feeling from the SAs. Ive stopped in on a few occasions without being acknowledged at all. Most recently I went in with my family to purchase a handbag, the SA (Leigh) was nice until it was time for me to buy the bag. The only bag available showed scratches. Once she realized I wasnt going to buy it in that condition her attitude changed completely. She wanted to rush me out of the store, she didnt make an attempt to help me order the bag or take my information to contact me with new stock options. Instead she said it just wasnt meant to be. Ultimately, I ordered the bag via telephone with a store in San Francisco. They were awesome! I will not go back to this boutique.
