I had my very first Brazilian done today and it was a great experience overall. First, Ari was wonderful at the check-in desk. Very welcoming and made sure I was well taken care of. My technicians name was Brittney and she was wonderful! With this being my first wax, I was nervous and didnt know what to expect. Brittney talked to me the entire time which helped to put my mind and ease. She was also very precise with her work which was great. I have already booked my next appointment with her!

My first time there was amazing all around, the second time around the front desk SUCKED, wouldn’t reschedule my appointment and claimed I was a “no call show” even though I literally called 30 minutes before my appointment to reschedule lol. The actual practitioners however Brittany to be more specific are very thorough clean and friendly. Probably won’t be back after today’s experience however.

This was my first time at this location and I loved it! The receptionist was great helped me fit my budget with the items I chose. My waxer was really really sweet she was so gentle with my wax. I just loved her attitude the whole time her name was Brittany.

Butchered my face. Have had a string of bad experiences with EWC West Loop cancelling my appointments but leaving confirmation voicemails instead (after going to EWC for 7 years without issue) and tried out the South Loop location. The shape of my eyebrows came out fine, except the one farther from the wax station is 1/3 inch shorter bc she didn’t bother to walk to the other side of the table. But to the reason for my review—she left the wax on my skin way too long and took chunks of my skin with her when finally pulling off the strip. Upon completion she asked if my skin is “super reactive or something.” It hurt a bit during the process but the wax wasn’t too hot at any point so I was surprised to see my face in the mirror and got out of there as fast as a I could. Never in my 14 years of waxing have I had anything more reactive than redness.UPDATE: An EWC manager called me and apologized for my experience. She asked me what happened then asked me to re-book so that they could provide better services. I said that it was important to prevent this happening again and requested the waxer receive additional training, which the manager agreed to. I appreciate that management took accountability, which is more than can be said for the west loop location. I will be applying neosporin for days and regrowing part of my eyebrow for weeks.

I had a complementary 1st time wax. I choose to do my eyebrows and the quality was very poor! They couldn’t remove all the hair. The hair pluckers that they had were not for eyebrows just for body hair and the person doing the service seemed rush. I understand it was complementary on the business but they did not have to serve poor service! The location is convenient and it was awesome that they got me in last min. But their services need improvement.

Went in for a Brazilian it was a first time for me, a friend recommended Monica she was awesome!! Definitely made the first time less scary very friendly and easy to talk to! Also great at explaining the process and way to take care of yourself after. I was very satisfied with my visits (went for my second one tuesday).

I need my refund for my wax pass, i loved my wax lady but for the last 3 times she has cancelled literally an hour before my appointment, im tired of hearing i understand like NO you dont understand the rescheduling system does not make any sense, tired of working with this facility but they cant work with me?!!! Oh and by the way 3 times means every month, so for the last 3 months i have only received 1 service and a very rushed one. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND I WILL MAKE SURE TO NOTIFY ALL OF THE PEOPLE I KNOW TO NEVER CONSIDER THIS FACILITY

The person at the desk was Carlos and my wax specialist was Giselle. I’m not sure if I spelt their name correctly, but I absolutely love them! They’re so nice, made me comfortable for my first ever waxing, and the location is close to my home! This will be my go-to place for waxing.

Ive never been waxed (except my brows), but I came in for a bikini line wax. Brittany was great and made me feel very comfortable. She explained the whole process well and put me at ease. I will be going back again!

Giselle was fast, friendly& professional. I will not ever get waxed by anyone else but her 10 stars.

I had an appointment at 9:15. I came in at 9:25. They have a 9 minute late policy. Since I came in 20 seconds past the 9 minute mark the lady at the from desk asked me to reschedule, saying someone else took my spot. I looked her dead in the eyes and asked her “Are you asking me to reschedule because I’m 20 seconds late?”. She replied “Yes”. I wasn’t sure if she was joking. Needless to say I did not reschedule, as at that point, European Wax Centre became a Comedy Venue, and I don’t mix eyebrows with comedy. Will take my business elsewhere. Preferably somewhere that actually wants it.

Today was my first Brazilian wax experience ever and Dominique made it amazing. She was very professional took my mind off the pain reassured me I was fine over all great first experience.Brenda also help me a lot her and Dominique made sure I had the products that would work for me.I booked my next Appointment and signed up for the membership.

Brenda greets you at the front, so personable and remembers your appointment schedule. She convinced me to do the wax packages when I was skeptical! I loved my waxer before but she moved and now I have Lauren. Lauren is so funny, we chat and laugh and before I know it my appointment is over! Easy, simple clean work every single time!

Saray does an amazing job every time!! Brazilian waxes can be really awkward if your specialist doesnt make you feel comfortable, but she always eases my anxiety. She chats with me while she does my wax so it goes by super quickly and painlessly. She is also extremely thorough and consistently waxes ALL of your hair in the desired area without leaving any behind. She also gets all of my ingrown hairs after the wax so I never go home disappointed because she missed something. Thank you Saray! She is the best, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone considering getting waxed at this location.

I received services on 5/30/21 and this was my first experience receiving a brazilian bikini wax. I truly appreciate the front desk personnel as you walk-in she in very welcoming and very informative when it comes to the products pre and post after your services. When I walked into my room it was very cold not temperature wise and unwelcoming. As I received my services the personnel seemed to be very numb and unemotional to pain. I do appreciate the great job she did and the tips she gave if I chose to come back again. I have come to understand the coldness and numbness may come from the time restraints that come from corporate after speaking with staff. CORPORATE NEEDS TO ALLOW MORE TIME, MAKE THE EXPERIENCE MORE WELCOMING, AND JUST DONT BE CONCERNED WITH GETTING THE BUCK TO THE BANK. I did purchase a package due to the wonderful front desk personnel, but I may be seeking to get a refund due to the aura set by corporate office.

Once I walked in it was great it was mainly black women there so if you want your natural hair done really nice go their I got my hair deep conditioned and they hot comb my hair I dont have pictures but I really wish I did🥰😍🥰😘

I love European Wax center, and this location is no exception! I have been to several centers as I have been on the move for the past couple of years. EWC South Loop does a phenomenal job with all wax services! I go to Brittany specifically, but all of the employees I have interacted with are accommodating and wonderful. I showed up and followed the instructions on the door. Scanned the code and added my name to get checked in. 25 mins passed by and I called to follow up. They said that they have to reschedule my appointment because my number was not updated. Then what’s the point texting you guys with my current number with my name that I’m here. You guys could have respond back to my text msg than having me wait. Now I’m rescheduled til next week! FYI as a pregnant lady, it’s a big waste of time.

I recommend Nicole she got all of the hair. The process was quick and not painful even. She got me in and out in 15 minutes and she made me feel comfortable.

They burn my skin really bad. I had to go to the doctor cause it was painful . Doctor said it was a second degree burn . I went back to let them know but they don’t care . They don’t even give me a refund . Be careful . I never going back . No good customer service. I’m really upset cause they ruin my vacation 😡😡😡

I visited the location Aug 2020 and it was a great visit! Everything was clean, organized, and just what youd expect from a spa/wax center.I sincerely want to thank Dominique for keeping me calm through my first Brazilian! Im usually very picky about where and who I go to for any type of service and I had read through many reviews before I came. She was very sweet, talked me through each step of the process, checked throughout to make sure I was still okay to keep going, and gave tips and pointers on concerns and just general waxing knowledge. She also offered a couple of products, like the ingrown hair wipes since I mentioned I get those from shaving, but I was short on cash. Possibly next time! Overall though, she checked behind herself and Ive never felt so comfortable during such an err --intimate, service. She also cleaned everything and made sure to reassure me when I thought I was doing something/acting differently than other people would have lol!I booked my second appointment with her directly. Also, props to the receptionist Janelle!! This pandemic has definitely brought changes to the way we have to open doors for business, but she was on point, friendly, and kept things moving.Alsooo, the pain isnt THAT bad. Its definitely a sting, immediately after, but here I am about 4 hours after my appointment and Im not sore, sensitive, or anything like I was told to expect. Then again, everyone may react differently! If you want a truly professional, yet friendly experience check out the STATE STREET EWC and ask to book with Dominique!!If its your first time you get a great deal!

Fast and efficient. They use a stripless was that dries quickly. Rooms are small and there are no frills at all. They offer wax passes for regular recurring services. Its always a bit chilly (likely to help the wax dry). All the specialists are pretty good, and very efficient. Overall, a good quick wax spot.

Firstly, the cashier was not warming at all. Seemed like round about service. My waxer didn’t remove the strips with the direction of my hair growth & she had quite a struggle w/peeling off the strips in 1 peice. She said the wax was too hot but it should be okay. My hair is course but I’ve never been in this much pain. All of the staff had dry & uninviting faces. Nothing like the Orland location. I still tipped because I respect the manners of it, but she was horrible & she didn’t talk much. Didn’t explain what was going to happen nor asked if it was my 1st time. She talked more about the terrible music than anything, it was funny but still. I noticed she cheered up towards the end, I guess hoping for a better tip. I also have a small sore on my skin. Never coming back😞👎🏽

They’re so great. I’ve had Christina, and Kai so far as my waders. I get a Brazilian because quite frankly I’m tired of having to deal with it haha. They always have conversations with you, and they have turned to be just great people in general. They’re very efficient, and timely with the job they’re doing. They also recommend great products, in which have done me a great service. SO GLAD I went to this place!

I got my legs waxed here, and I would definitely come back. I was really nervous, but Christina was so nice and she made me feel calm. Ive gotten my legs waxed at other places and this is by far the least painful service. It was quick and she removed my ingrown hairs. Christina was awesome!!!

Ive been going to this location for over a year now. There are some really great girls working here, and I made a point to go to each of them once when I first started going. After vetting everyone, there were two that became my favorites. I settled on Breyanna M as my regular specialist based on her schedule working with mine. She is wonderful. Takes her time, makes sure the job is done right, and is a wonderful person. Shes always got a smile on her face and I look forward to chatting with her despite what shes doing during our conversations. The other wax specialist I visit if Bry isnt available is Monica.

It was a bit painful but she talked me through the process, engaged in great conversation to take my mind off of what was going on. I almost cant wait to get back! Lol! Also, the young lady that greets you when you get there, so knowledgeable, so helpful, was such a doll.

Been coming here for 3 years I love it. I only go to Manisha. She’s friendly, professional and make sure that the experience is luxurious and not painful. The only wax I’ve gotten here is Brazilian bikini. I highly recommend for everyone to see Manisha.

I went here for the first time about two months ago. Kai was the first esthetician I saw and she was great. Unfortunately when it was time for my second appointment with her I was notified she was no longer with the company. My second visit I had Noel, she was friendly but she had been working consistently which she disclosed but I felt as if it was a rushed job and it wasn’t done thoroughly.

Ive been going to EWC South Loop for a few years now and I have nothing but great things to say about the facility and staff! I visit Monica monthly and she does a great job of coaching you through the process for a first time waxer as well as making you feel comfortable during the treatments. Super knowledgable of the best way to take care of your freshly waxed skin! Highly recommended!

I used to wax here quite often because my waxer was AMAZING until I learned of the prejudice and mistreatment of those behind the scenes. Those licensed aestheticians are amazing, yet treated and paid poorly. Here’s a photo of the manager/the owners SON. Is this a company that you should support? Please support a better wax company. One who truly cares for ALL people. The character of the organization shows as the owners son has not apologized for this offensive photo.

I finally decided to come in and get a bikini Brazilian wax. I had never gotten anything on my body waxed before besides my eyebrows! I was so nervous and I was sweating just thinking about the pain. Kai was my waxer and she was phenomenal!!! She talked with me the entire time and made me feel extremely comfortable! They use a hard wax that only their company uses and it was not as bad as I thought at all! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Kai!!! I will be back and probably will be a regular! Never shaving again!

Awful. Made an appointment over the phone a week ago, came in today and was told they didn’t have me in the system and were totally booked. Find a location more organized than this one if you want to spend your money at European Wax. Better yet, go to a local spa where you will actually be treated well.

Manisha is absolutely amazing - she always does a wonderful job (and gives great book recommendations). Her schedule can get full so be sure to schedule before you go. A couple of times, I stopped by last minute and she was busy - the other people I saw did an OK job.

Ive been with European wax for 2 years now, using their annual plan. First with Lincoln Square location and now with South Loop, since I moved here. Both locations are great, except SL location has problem with their phone service. Not always I can reach out to them if I need to cancel appointment or reschedule. I have to call multiple times throughout the day to make sure I reach out to them. Other than that great service and very professional technicians. I was with Christina since my first appointment, but she is no longer with the company :(

I went to this place based on the great reviews. Really wanted to love it because it’s close to my new apartment but I didn’t.First, the top of the bikini, well below the belly bottom apparently counts as a stomach strip for extra charge. This seemed like a rip off in principle given the cost of their full Brazilian. I have been getting full Brazilians for 14 years and have always had this part included without needing to ask. My waxer Yasmin basically drew an imaginary and very pendantic line where she believed the stomach ended and the bikini began and refused to go higher (even though she agreed it would take less than a second / no extra effort) because “it’s what I was taught in training soorry”.Second, she also seemed moody and patronising. Just what you need to add to the uncomfortableness of having your legs spread apart! She missed obvious patches of hair which I had to point out but I still left with random long pieces in places. Sadly not pleased at all which is a shame.

I really appreciated Ericas professionalism and she took very good care of me. Made sure most ingrown hairs were out and waxed very quickly. It also dint hurt as bad as other waxwings did.

Been going here for years. Prices are relatively cheap (if you get a pass) and service is consistent. They do always try to sell you on products though, which can be annoying.

My first visit was with K and she made me very comfortable and talked to me the whole time, it was like we knew each other already. Everybody there was amazing I will be going back every month for sure to give K a visit

I would have given them four stars, but because my mom didn’t have the best experience, that’s why they get a 3. My waxer was great, very friendly. My mother’s waxer, Manisha, was horrible and not friendly. My mother felt like she was trying to hurt her on purpose and no one should be made to feel that way. And when the front desk receptionist was told, she said “we’ll just put you with someone else next time because we get that a lot with Manisha.” How is someone still giving services when they’ve had a lot of complaints about them? She must be the franchisers relative because under regular circumstances, she wouldn’t still be there.

Tasha is brilliant at what she does. I have very difficult, thick eye brows and she is able to tame them in a way that no other aesthetician has ever been able to manage. I will follow her wherever she goes professionally.

Set my appt for the wrong date but Noel was available and was amazing! Made my experience 10x better

They say that the hard wax is much better for women with naturally curly hair that are prone to ingrown hairs. I would have to agree despite my original hesitation, you think hard wax, you think how could this have gotten any more painful. However, its less painful and again, no ingrown hairs to date!

I was dreading going for a brazilian... they were friendly, professional, and thorough. The tech was awesome. Ill be back!

I went in for 3 waxes: Brazilian, full arms and upper lip. The razilian and arms were fine, good work. The upper lip is a DISASTER. Only the right side got waxed !!! I am full of hair on the left side and completely bare on the right! I dont understand how this can happen except if the aesthetician did not even bother to check the result of her one strip of wax. Im honestly ashamed of seeing people like this before getting waxed by another salon. This is unacceptable and I will never go there again.
