I shop this location because I live nearby. Its typically a hot mess: dirty floors, empty shelves, nearly empty refrigerators and huge carts full of products in front of the shelves. You all are losing money because its nearly impossible to shop. Im surprised customers havent been injured given the blocked isles.The staff members are always pleasant, though.

Friendly & extremely polite Staff! I came here for the 1st time in years & was treated very nicely by the staff. The store was clean, neat & very well organized I returned again within a week & the staff (a different group of people & cashiers) were also Very Nice & Helpful & were quick to point out there was no Rush when I mentioned being fast since it was about a half-hour to close. I will be shopping here a lot more often!

Always my go to place for shaving needs and stationary items. Variety of several household items, etc sold much cheaper than other places like Walgreens and CVS.

This is the only place i can buy the pre-cut Reynolds foil which i love and use so much.

Great store and prices! Always finding unique seasonal items but just like Family Dollar Store always cramped with merchandise boxes in the aisles.

They dont tell folks to where a masks and one customer was coughing alot in the store although theres a sign that customers must wear them.This is why we cant get outsi of this Pandemic ifnfolk arent going to follow the rules.

This is THE place. Having just moved into a new apartment and having virtually nothing in it, going to this store has been a life savior for me. From kitchen items, accessories, containers, knick knacks, and oh yes groceries, this store is perfect place for things you need and things you didnt think you needed until you saw it. Added to that the price$$ are right. Hey its Dollar General. The name says it all. Kudos to the guy in the Afro behind the counter that was a fellow David Bowie fan. Very affordable home goods and groceries overall. Polite staff. However, they rarely have feminine hygiene or beauty care products in stock. And seasonal decor items amongst other things are rarely unboxed sitting in the aisles.

I love the prices at dollar General, but this location is a disaster !! I guess tues is a BAD day to go. There are huge cages with product that need putting on shelves and 2 women doing it. I mean just about every aisle is packed with these cages . You have no chance of reaching anything on the shelves that are blocked,and rest of shelves are near bare 😨. Come on....mgr, owner. Hire some help for tues to stock store. HELL, Id work a 8 hour day, once a week to make x $. Or how about leaving all cages except 1 you are working on, in back room? Finish, then wheel it to back and bring another one, and so on.Then your customers can get what they came for!!! Simple!!!!! Update....Jan 6. Today is Wed, I was hoping stock would be put away and aisles cleared for shopping, but alas...no😩. It looked like half was done, but the place I shop at(activity books) had the whole shelf blocked by the huge cages! Sheesh, so now I have to plan on thurs or Fri to have a unfettered shopping experience? Get it together!!! I saw 1 man stocking and 1 lady cashiering. Hire more help! Update...may 29....this is todays Sat shopping trip. See pic . WTH!!!

At Dollar General, one can find so many different things at such great prices. I shop there all the time. I go in for 1 item but walk out with many items. Try it and you will not regret shopping there!!!

Wow! Let me tell you, I have been sleeping when it comes to this Edgewater Dollar General. I wanted to send a pen pal some stickers and couldnt find any at Walgreens. So I wondered into Dollar General and was so pleasantly surprised. Better selection for stickers, yes. But also - they just had so much more than I was expecting. Groceries, refrigerated items, housewares, back to school items, crafting supplies...and so much more. The buidling itself was a lot bigger than I expected and the staff (at least the gentleman ringing me up) were extremely friendly. Ive lived in the area for YEARS and never ventured in until today. It certainly wont be the last time.

Dollar General has most of the basics that anyone could need. Its in a safe and walkable area, has a decent parking lot, and the staff are accommodating and friendly. The biggest thing it is missing is fresh fruit and vegetables. I would also like to see more vegetarian fake meats available in their frozen section.

Jesus, I love this place. Yeah, its not Barneys or Bloomies, but their cleaning supplies stink anyway. Buy your basics here -- household stuff, snacks or party goods -- but maybe look elsewhere for food, much of which is super-mega-processed and no bargain in the long run. Props to the manager who turned that store around PRONTO.

Amazing location. Really well organized and well maintained. Stuff is not just lying on the floor like other locations and billing takes less than 2 minutes anytime of the day. Hours are awesome as well. Since the store remains open on all day until 9pm. Yes even on Sundays. Coupons are easy to find on the Dollar General app.

MESSY as usual. Cases everywhere blocking the aisles preventing me to enter. How about spending a few bucks and hiring someone to fill the shelves.

Dollar General is an exciting store that sells almost everything one ordinarily might think of. Customers seem relaxed, perhaps on account of the staffs courteous demeanor, which kind of generates some pleasant ambience. The kind of experience that Target once had before they decided to become downright grumpy. Dollar General deserves to grow, and my bets are theyll thrive.

I like Dollar General because it has a wide variety of things,food, clothes,make up they have dollar items and brand names a little bit cheaper than other stores for example if I want to buy a new mascara that costs $12 at Walgreens I can get the same one there for $9,save $3 the money adds up in savings when you spend $30 here it would cost you $45 elsewhere its a very convenient store.

I liked it better before the new manager was hired the old one was extremely helpful didnt mind working hard bent over backwards to please you..... was courteous and energetic the regular employees are all great friendly and cheerful! I dont know whats going on but for the past 2 weeks they havent had lunch meat or bacon in the cooler I think they got some in yesterday I saw bacon boxes in the cooler but nobody unpacked them yet did shopping at several Dollar Generals Armitage Avenue ...Lincoln and Washtenaw.... Harlem and Irving..... and have been shopping at Dollar General for years! ..... they have a lot of good items at low prices..... and this is not my favorite store anymore

Worst experience ever! Cashier is rude and unprofessional, the manager is even worse. Prices are high and if you want to buy an item that they have marked on discount, when you have to pay they charge the full price! They cheating people and if you ask them for explanation regarding prices/discount they cant explain and they are very rude! They dont care about customers at all! Never again!

Lots of good bargains. Youll spend more than you expected, but youll save a lot compared to general chain stores or supermarkets.

This store is ALWAYS in disarray. I cant even see products because there are boxes and carts stacked to the ceiling down every single aisle. It is a hazard to the customers. Maybe when the boxes and carts fall and hurt someone, the store will learn to clean up.

This was formerly a Family Dollar store. Theres not much difference price-wise or stock-wise. Store is clean and orderly. There was no change in staff just name it seems.
