In an effort to support more local businesses, I tracked down this shop to purchase gifts. Knowing absolutely nothing about painting, I asked the owner for assistance in finding the basics for three budding teen artists. She was incredibly helpful, offered options in various price ranges, never pushed to up-sell me, and was genuinely passionate about the subject matter. We had a lovely conversation and I was still in-and-out in 15 minutes. Highly recommend! #shoplocal

Lake View Art Supply on Foster certainly meets that criteria and I look forward to doing business with them for years to come since I still have quite a few posters and prints to be framed and no one does framing better!

I saw this art supplies and picture framing store when I had an appointment to see my dentist (Dr. Tietzer) whos next door. I wound up buying some supplies and I also had a family photo re-framed and now it really looks great because of the mat and the different frame. It looks like Ill be come back to have some other pictures framed so we can hang them on the wall alongside the stairs. Im very happy with the conversation and suggestions so its a five star Google review for Lake View Art Supply from me.

Im a local artist so this store is really convenient for me, and they have a good selection of supplies. The staff is friendly and helpful, and a couple times when I needed something they didnt have in stock, they got it for me within a couple days. And I like the bright and colorful atmosphere too.

The frames and matting were obviously chosen by someone with a great eye for selecting just the right frame design and mat to bring out the best in the items being framed. Expertly done.

There are custom picture framers and then there are custom picture framers. The few that do an exceptional job do so not only because they have the experience but because they also have a talent for choosing the right frame and the right mat and making the entire ensemble look perfect. We picked up our custom framed prints yesterday and theyre so well done that were going to have some other prints reframed and perhaps some photos too. Superbly done with imagination and style.

Staff is very knowledgeable and kind. I needed supplies for a project I was working on and the owner thoroughly answered every question I had and made sure I got everything I needed. Great experience.

It does not have as many supplies as i expected,and the prices are too very high...I just bought the tracing paoer pad for 6.59$.Although i want so many rhing but the prices turned me down... :(

Excellent custom framing and art supplies store in Albany Park across the street from North Park University. Ive had some prints framed and each time the results were outstanding.

An art supply and custom picture framing store hat has a wonderful inventory to compliment any photo or work of art and they do a marvelous job in making your items look their best with the right mat and frame. Most highly recommended as a frequent customer.

The place is nice, they have all my basics I want but the prices are bit too spendy

They pack a lot of stuff in this tiny store and keep the cost down. I wish they had more variety of watercolor and oil paints.

This place has always had really bad vibes. The owner is very judgemental, and I have heard that she is NOT nice to her employees (unless they play her narcicisstic games). Repeat customers or potential employees beware! This place is MUCH worse than it seems on the surface.

Significantly overcharged for a brush — I didnt notice until I got home and compared the pricetag to the receipt.

Great local art supply store.

Has everything a beginner/student needs! Will be shopping local more often!
