My favorite place. I get the best deals on my canvas and plant pots. Never pay full price because there’s alway a sale and you can use your Michaels rewards to get additions like discounts and rewards. I love that you get a 90 days grace to return an item in case you changed your mind. The staff super helpful especially Hollywood who tremendously went out of her to help my canvas get delivered to my home safely. She always make my shopping experience at Michaels fun!!!

The pickup service is quick and easy here. It took less than five minutes to pick up my order. The employees are helpful and friendly. On the weekends, the best time to visit is between 11am and noon to avoid the crowds. I highly recommend this Michaels location for people in the Uptown/Lakeview East area.

Went in for 2 items, came out with none. Selection and variety changes by season. Didnt really think ribbon was seasonal. No letter stencils the size I need. Other than that, clean, organized, one employee said hello. Ill be back, but today was a bust.

Placed an online order for pick. The website could see some improvements but this location was really nice and with super fast service. They were ready for any pickup orders handy and delivered to me within seconds of my arrival. Next time i wanna try curbside pickup is available.

My wife and I typically head out to a different craft store but we were pressed for time and went here instead. They have a great selection for what we needed and for the size of the store had a nice inventory. The staff was very helpful and was not able only to locate the items but walked us to them. I think unless we needed to be back in the Burbs we would definitely return to this location.

My favorite store in the world... next to the Dollar Tree, of course. But whatever I cant acquire there, I go to Michaels. For frames larger than 8x10, quality paints, canvases of all sizes, endless card stickers, the list goes on. Great customer service, and with the app, youre guaranteed to find a coupon every visit.The parking lot is a little tight at the top coming in, so be careful. Especially on your way out, make sure to stay far to the right cuz you never know when the next car is coming in (steep drive) and some people dont know its so narrow feeling at the top.Overall, always a great experience. Parking is FREE in the lot. They have hand sanitizers at the entrance, so its nice they help us take precautions for our health.Love this place- keep up the great work!

Of all the Michaels stores I have visited over countless months, I do not regret making this location my top favorite! Great selections of anything and everything from wiring material to beading material, sewing, etc for all your DIYs! The people here are also very nice, welcoming and definitely help you to find what you need! Great location, much better than the one near the HIP!

This location has a pretty good selection of just about anything you might need for a craft or art project. I always find so much inspiration here. The people who work here are helpful and friendly once youre able to find someone on the sales floor.

A good selection at very competitive prices (especially, if you do not feel like waiting for Amazon Delivery). Was able to locate the exact yarn I needed to finish my project (as well as start some new ones). Wanted to upgrade a couple of crochet hooks - but unfortunately, the sizes I was interested in were all sold out. The associate checking me out was extremely friendly and told me about the rewards program - which I signed up for. Look for online coupons before you check out - I did and saved 20%.

I didnt hate it. I found everything I needed for every project I am currently focused on. This included yarn, fabric, fabric paint, and a project coming up next month. They carry tons of merchandise at a wide range of price points.They got me st the check out. The Lindt chocolate and a Ghirardelli salted caramel for my friend.None of the two local yarn shops had cotton, not their fault, its pretty normal for cotton to be rare.Well I m of to knit for a bit.🧶♥️

Employee (esp in cashier) is very warm. If you look for yarn, paint, canvas, decoration plant/seasonal decoration, lettering, and accessories supplies this is a great place! However, for the sewing section, they only have limited choices. They also offer a nice discount, best if you have Michaels app on your phone so you can redeem more discount :)

Everything was s wonderfully good.

No curbside pickup even though they advertise it on the website. You have to park, wait in the full checkout line, and pick up your online order from a check out person. Something to be aware of if you are elderly or high risk for covid and are counting on curbside service. No mention of this policy in any confirmation emails after purchase, in fact, it only specifically mentions the curbside pickup procedure. They need clearer instructions.

This is a very convenient store. It has everything you need for arts and crafts ideas to home decor. I went in for a frame for a small poster I wanted to hang. Unfortunately they were out of stock. This was an irregular size that they ordinarily would have had on stock, but were sold out.Apparently Covid has rendered possible restocking of this size undeterminable. I was disappointed, but I did manage to look around the store and got ideas for future projects and purchase. The store is well lit, the displays catch your eye, and its a place to explore and be creative. Not that many staff on the floor so you have to go to the counter to get someone to help you. Overall a nice store at a very convenient location.

The stairwell in the parking garage was blocked off so you had to use the single elevator to get down- A serious fire hazard and the elevator is tiny and slow. Then I went in and a sign stated that acrylic level 2 paint and brushes were buy one get one 50% off which wasnt honored. It was different than the level 1 50% back in rewards and it was just a frustrating experience. Lastly in the bathroom is blocked off for customers which is unnecessary. Just not great.

The store is large and well laid out. Garlen in the framing shop is the best employee ever to ask for help.

Absolutely love this Michael’s! It’s really big and has a great selection of craft supplies. I’ve never had a problem getting all the materials I needed for various projects from this store. The staff is very friendly and nice, I’ve only had one not so great experience with them.

Well kept and lots of great sales! Friendly staff. Ive dropped by here during quarantine and there arent too many people. A great time to utilize the Sale sections to decorate your bedroom or living room.

This location was somehwhat hard to get to being located on a main street with limited parking. I had to drive around the corner and then park in a lot across the street. Everything was prettt easy to find although I didnt realize some of the items were on sale while the same material different brand wasnt. Overall good experience.

Sweet girl that works as a cashier, is one of the sweetest cashiers Ive ever dealt with. She was so attentive and willing to help without having me to even ask her. Give her a raise. Im giving the store 4 stars though because they didnt carry everything I was looking for.

Theres street and garage parking, but Im not sure if the garage is free. The store is on the main floor so you dont have to worry about the escalator not working. The store is a tight fit and I understand that trying to put all these neat items out. They could use some more sales floor associates, as well as cashiers.

Love this place! You can get all your artsy gear or deco items here! The collection is massive and staff are always friendly and helpful! Absolutely bonus that they ALWAYS have items that is on sale and generally 50% off! It’s becoming an addiction coming here..

Great source for all kinds of crafting supplies. Ive found that Michaels has more of a selection for jewelry making supplies than other crafting stores. Especially when it come to supplies that are specifically labeled to be Nickel free. Although Michaels does not have an extensive fabric selection, they definitely make up for it with so many options in nearly every other crafting category. Dont forget to use the coupons they always have circulating!

My favorite store for art supplies and crafts. Good prices, nice selection, much better than Blick for my needs. I am definitely a novice and home crafter at best though so Blick stans, please don’t come for me.

Stopped in for plastic model car kits and was dumbfounded when it turned out that the one entire side of an aisle full of models I remembered them having is now a mere two feet wide and dominated by models for little kids rather than for the bigger kids who can paint & glue. The selection of model paint was adequate but small and rather pricey compared to other places. All in all, it was a wasted trip and I bought nothing. But it was due to lack of selection and a price point about 20% more than other brick & mortar stores and ultimately, it was the almost $6 they wanted for a tube of glue that made me realize this store is way overpriced. Guess I should have started out online, I found the glue at 2 tubes for $3.50 and the selection of models is overwhelming, although prices do tend to vary. Its a shame Michaels doesnt have the model aisle anymore, I dropped $300 online, but it could have been kept local so as to keep people (my neighbors) working.

Close by; got lots of good deals on candles, and the cashier, Michael, was most polite and helpful!!

Hands down the best customer service in Chicago.One of the employees, Andy, really went above and beyond to help me. My item wasn’t scanning properly, but he was extremely patient throughout the process. His name tag indicated that he’s been with the company since 2010 and I absolutely see why.

This is a great place to go to get ideas and to get art supplies. Customer service is pretty good, they are helpful and kind. Out of the way for me - but willing to take the train all the way up there!

I generally love crafts stores, but this is a surprisingly awful place—its really, really, large, but mostly filled with uninteresting and tacky junk.For arts and crafts type stuff in Chicago, youre much better off going to Blicks Art Supply.

Big store and so many deals. A great location because everything else, grocery, bank, restaurants are all clustered within walking distance. If you drive, park free in the garage. You can also order online and pick up.

Michaels Arts and Crafts store is a very quaint reasonably priced crafts store. Extremely respectful employees. VERY PLEASANT

For being in the middle of a city neighborhood, they seem to have just about the right mix of every craft supply you never knew you needed...sometimes selections arent fully stocked (went in for black spray fabric paint, but it was only available with 2 other colors--so now I have white and gray spray fabric paint, and Im contemplating the possibilities). Very friendly and knowledgeable staff get you through the check-out-lines without feeling hurried or delayed...and KNITTERS! THEY HAVE LOADS of YARN! Ive purchased everything from photo frames to embroidery floss, right here in the middle of the neighborhood...
