WATCH OUT FOR THIS COMPANY!!! This company is deceptive, extremely disorganized & their employees lie. I signed a lease in order to rent-to-own a bedroom set. My contract stated the mattress would be brand new. They delivered a used mattress to my home during the middle of a pandemic (DISGUSTING) and refuse to make the situation right by refunding the money I’ve wasted and picking up their nasty used merchandise. Their reasoning for not refunding me is because it took me too long to realize the mattress wasn’t new. Hmmm, so they attempt to mislead a consumer and because I didn’t realize it soon enough… that makes it ok? And they aren’t to be held accountable? They also falsely advertised an Ashley brand mattress on their site and but delivered a completely different mattress which after carefully inspecting… has been re-stitched in certain areas. It’s most definitely some “no name” knock-off because it is missing the Sierra sleep by Ashley logo as advertised on the rent a center website. I visited the store. They don’t have a display mattress on the floor for customers to view. Very Clever. I called the store. They told me to contact their corporate office. I called the corporate office and no one answers. You sit on hold forever. So I started the process to file a dispute. Never heard anything back so I call the corporate office and finally reach someone who has no information on the dispute i filed whatsoever. The store manager keeps having random people text and call my home to remind me about my payment due. She tells me her District Manager (Kenneth Smith) will call me back. This guy calls and claims to be completely clueless, does nothing but repeatedly lie and says he has no knowledge of my complaint or my calls as if they never happened. He gave false information just like the store manager did the day I visited the store. Just more lies. He offers to only refund my money from the time I realized the mattress wasn’t new. Wow! So you’re admitting you tried to scam me by delivering a USED mattress. Their company has been sued multiple times for their deceptive practices. I wasn’t even trying to sue them. Just wanted them to do the right thing and give me my money back. Noticed how their company review rating all of a sudden looks very different on Google. Apparently they hired a company called reputation.com to help them clean up all the bad reviews they had been getting. Looks pretty shady to me. I’ll keep sharing my story to try to warn others to stay away from doing business with these deceitful people. It’s not even about the money to me anymore. It’s the principle.

I did a contract online called the store to schedule my delivery and got the run around. Finally spoke to someone who said I need to pay more money before my order is delivered. Scam

If I could give 0 stars I would. They dont want to give me my money back and they wont answer the phone when they see my number. They think Im not on my way up there now. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. SCAMMERS.

Pretty Good experience Shay is the most amazing person! She is sincere and works with you however she can. She should be running this place because the store manager could take a pointer from her on customer service because his is sorely lacking. Finished paying off my mattress in 6 months and excited to be an owner 😊👍

If I could give them no stars I would! Some of us are Uber/Lyft drivers and they call to harass you while you’re driving! Someone tell their rude employees that we don’t get checks like most people and that when we make enough we cash out! My ratings have dropped down because they call while I’m driving!!!!! Hello me not making money=you not getting your money! So done with this place I’m gonna get some help so they can get their furniture back I don’t want their rude and unprofessional employees in my home!!!!!!

BED BUGS!! Terrible! I have been waiting on a call back from a manager for a month. The store manager is always dodging my calls and the employees keep telling me they are leaving him my contact info. My used couch which they said was cleaned is infected with bed bugs. No customer service, the store manager has no idea how to run this operation. Will you ever call me to fix this issue? Or are you just that bad at your job and don’t care about the customers?

Went here recently to order a 65in television and I was told I couldnt get one that huge because I was a new customer. I was okay with that. so I agreed to the new Samsung 55in television. anyways, delivery day comes and my television is out of the box. I asked why is it out of the box and shay tells me its because she took it out to put the legs on. although I found that suspicious, I just said okay. I go to sign the paperwork and I see it says used and shay then tells me its because it went through the system but its never been used. Im not buying it. first off its not even coming in the box. but anyways Im paying for a brand new tv. I didnt complain because I really need to replace the television my daughter broke. later that day I go to remove my old television and notice that the new tv is considerably smaller than my 58 in. I then measure it and it only measured to 50in. Shay is a fraud! Anyways, my first due date rolls around, she calls to remind me that payment is due that day. found that strange because no one calls you to remind you a payment is due that particular day. I wasnt even a day late. but that wasnt even the worst of the problem. I get home from work and there are two door tags from rent a center saying theyre in the neighborhood. I lived at my current address for three years and never have I received anything from rent a center. I checked my neighbors houses and guess, what I was the only one who received anything from rent a center. lol Id hate to be late for a payment. talk about harassment! But I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN. I dont know if all of the locations are this bad but Shay and this location ruined it for me.Update: I guess the store manager didn’t like my review, he contacted me today to tell me I was lying about the door tags and that he sent them personally a day after payment was due. Unfortunately, for him I have photo proof because I was beyond livid and posted it on Snapchat. Either way even if it was one day past due, it is considered harassment! Lol I just find it funny he “knew” exactly what day he sent them out. I guess business is that slow, huh?! Lol unfortunately I didn’t read the reviews before doing business with them but anyways I recently purchased a 65in Samsung from Aaron’s. My television came in the box and enrollment was simple. No references needed to be submitted. And professional customer service. But what gets me is I’m paying considerably less for my brand new 65in with Aaron’s than for my used 50in with Rent a center. I hope folks read this review before actually doing business with this company. They are a scam and definitely not worth it. I will be returning the tv ASAP. so far, if I ever decided to rent to own any products in the future, I will take my business to Aaron’s!

I am a certified cosmetologist. Also earned 2 degrees, graduated at the top of my class. Came to them in need after just moving in a new place and grandparents being buried a week later after moving in. Being a lil overwhelmed I agreeded to biweekly payments. Which when I paid was told I didnt have to pay until 2 weeks later after purchases. Upon delivery the fireplace tv stand did not work and was sent back to be fixed and redelivered a week later. Upon getting hired at a new job my payment was late and I explained that I just got a new job and payment would be late.they provided documents that stated I agreed to weekly payments which was a lie.at this point I was disgusted and felt tricked. I was cursed at told I could afford whatever because I had 2 degrees etc..which yes I can get any job I apply to. No ampathy and total disrespect out of all honesty I am trying o give them a lump sum .. not knowing who is visiting my home .. no respect for my neighbors yelling and cursing at my family when Im at work is not professional.. and embarrassed I could never be. They can have their used furniture which I agreed to pay them almost 1500. I was a fool.. not again
