I purchased a car here and not even 3 days later the car didnt want to shift gears. I found out it was a Ford recall and RC should have taken care of it before they put it on their lot to sell. After 4 months of purchasing the car, I am still waiting to get the car back from the Ford dealership. I called River City to see if they would give me a loaner during the time it was waiting on the repair and felt like that was the least they could do but they would not return my call or text. I am very upset and will never buy another car here or refer them to friends or family. This is exactly why people dont trust car salesmen.

The prices of the vehicles are well over current fair market value and they refuse to negotiate. When I brought this up, I was dismissed as if I did not know what I was talking about, how insulting. The over pricing did cause a minor issue in getting the vehicle financed as initially the bank denied financing because the vehicle cost was too high compared to its value! Overall, their sales tactic of not negotiating on their overpriced priced vehicles feels VERY exploitative. I regret purchasing from this dealership and would caution others from using them.

Contacted this dealer through their website about a vehicle they had posted. I asked why the vehicle was priced so high and the reply was just the asking price, nothing else. I then asked why they are asking $4k over fair market value, no response at all. The vehicles here have extremely high markups and professionalism is none existent. Hope others have a better experience but I will simply look elsewhere.

I have a great experience buying a car here. Decoda answered all my questions and was very friendly. I test drove 4 vehicles and was down to two. Then Decoda let me know about one of the vehicles had some paint damage and showed it to me. I was surprised and grateful he told me the truth about the vehicle. I will recommend River City Auto to all my friends. The had many cars at or below $10K and below 100K miles! I bought my car in March and wanted to wait to make sure I had a great car. I most certainly do!

Will post an update as well after I drive car for a few months. My experience with Bobby and Dakota at RCA was really great. Bobby (the gentleman that sold the car to me) was very attentive and answered the 20 emails I sent him with a kind attitude. The no negotiation on price can seem a bit frustrating at first, however it just makes things simple for everyone, you know what you’re going to spend and if you’re willing it’s yours. The vehicle itself was in great condition and I’m looking forward to driving it for some time to come. Dakota, the finance manager was also a pleasure to work with. Both parties were kind and answered every question I had very knowledgeably. Thank you for the help. Will update on a few months.

I would not recommend. I thought I was getting a good deal. Not even a week of having it the check engine light came on and ends up being the catalytic converter. Ive made 1 payment on it and now I need to have a air compressor kit and the fan on top of that so close to $3000 worth of repairs needed on my car. Thanks, thanks a lot!

I drove over 5 hours and 300 plus miles after being assured on the phone with the car I was looking at was ready to go. Arrived there and found multiple issues to which I was just told its an older car Ill deal with it. Some of which are example some of which are absolutely not. If I lived in Tennessee I would not be able to register the car due to some of the issues. The car will end up needing well over another $2000 at minimum and repairs and thats with me doing the work, not including paint work that has to be done to the car which could easily turn into a full respray. 140 miles into my journey home my check engine light came on, code turned out to be catalyst efficiency. At bare minimum Im looking at $400 plus in parts not even including my labor, the rear sub frame bushings are completely shot and when you would hit a large bump the rear of the car would sway as the rear sub frame with track in a different direction. Jacking the car up the sub frame would actually drop almost 2 inches due to tree bushing. Roughly $400 in parts and a lot of labor and the need of a press. This is very dangerous and an obvious safety issue. Other things like a short in the fog light harnesses, cruise control though I was told it worked, and just a whole mess of issues. Over all I really got screwed over on this car, with a bunch of money and a bunch of my time I can save it. However the sad thing is as I bought this car specifically to fast track the end of my project so I could drive it every day without putting a bunch of work into it after transferring some of my newer parts on to it. This is not the case at all. Probably a solid month and a half of work. After years of buying and selling cars thisone of the few purchases I truly regret. I paid top market value for three car, plus all their fees. Had the car only needed half of what it did Id have been fine. Really the paint was the worst part Im a technician but dont know paint. I thought the small stuff cut just be cut and buffed. Lol, not even close. It was the main reason I bought it. Whoever they are using must not have a real booth. Please have your cars inspected by an outside shop.Posted is a small code reader with the code, the other pic of you lol, youll see just one of the dozens of large physical pieces of trash in the paint all over the car.

I highly recommend this place. We bought a vehicle here and after bringing it home, were disappointed to find the power locks didnt work. We contacted them and they told us to bring it back and they would fix it. They were very accommodating throughout the entire process. Now with the locks fixed, I couldnt be more pleased with the purchase and the service we received. Thank you River City Auto!

They do good work but they are not cheap.

The single worst auto dealer experience Ive have ever had. They were late opening, dressed for the beach, acted as if they could care about selling a car, and ultimately directly insulting. Never with these people. Go anywhere else but here. Terrible service staff and equally bad mechanical knowledge, including their shop mechanic. Plus their prices are mid-grade but dont forget to tack on the dealer fees and 9.5% sales tax.

I went to check a car, came inside the building, 3 employees none of them addressed me, went outside then came inside talked to one of them, didnt feel friendly talk, So I left, really interested to buy the car, will never go back.
