Troy and his crew are nothing but the best transmission specialists around. His thoroughness in his research saved me the cost of a total rebuild when he isolated the problem to two internal cables inside the transmission. The honesty that the entire crew showed saved me over $2500 and fixed my truck perfectly when they could have easily charged me for a complete rebuild and not performed it. Cant say that about other places.

AC went out in my Camaro during the Hot Rod Magazine 2018 Power Tour. They found the leak and was not able to repair it quickly as it was not an easy part to replace. They did however recharged my system and I was able to complete my entire trip with cold AC, a sum of 2438 miles!!! Thank you for servicing my ride quickly, I didnt miss out on anything!

This is the best transmission shop Ive ever come across in all my years of driving. They are more than honest, they are helpful! They treat their customers beyond well. I was given a ride to and from my hotel while they did repairs. I have witness them do it for others as well! And when I say honest I mean Thompson cares more about the customers happiness with the job rather than just making a buck.

I am always surprised when I receive outstanding customer service. I work in a service industry and it seems as if this is a lost skill. I went to AAMCO by referral and I found the atmosphere was welcoming and the tech that advised my care was very knowledgeable and service was flawless and inexpensive. They efficiently handled the claims department from another automotive company thats negligence caused my car to break down. Their communication with me was constant and forthright. I recently had to get my car checked out and gave AAMCO a visit. From the second I gave them a call, I was handled with the utmost of care. The team at AAMCO is not only a group of genuine people that want to help, but a team of hard workers. The customer service in itself felt like family and thats just not some you come across often. They were clear, helpful and more then willing to help.

My wife and I were on our way from Florida back to Canada when our Nissan Rogues transmission gave out near Fort Payne AL. We had our car towed to the nearest Ammco shop in Chattanooga TN. Dan came out to the tow truck and my wife explained the problem. Another shop had worked on the transmission and we needed it to be looked at. Dan took the car in and had it checked it out. It became apparent that we needed a new transmission which is not a good thing when you are over a 1000 miles from home.Thompson and Dan really went out of their way to obtain a transmission at short notice, arrange a rental for us and direct us to a good local hotel. They had the transmission out and new one in in just over two days. The staff here are amazing including John and Eric in the workshop who kindly explained things to us. The hospitality was incredible and we were very comfortable with everything in their hands. They went out of their way to make the situation as painless as possible.This shop is definitely a model for others. Thank you all for your kindness and help. The care they give their customers is beyond anything I have ever seen at a car place. From the clean facility available to wait on your car to offering you coffee or a variety of drinks. Had a sudden transmission failure and Troy and everyone provided excellent, informative service and were incredibly helpful. Definitely recommend them!

I called them a week prior to ask about a problem I had with a transmission I had taken out and they were very knowledgable over the phone and told me to just bring it in one day. I brought the transmission gearset in with no appointment and no call prior to arriving, the guy upfront told it may be a minute because the mechanic was busy with a couple things but it was only maybe 3 minutes and they told me to go ahead and bring the transmission in so they could look at it and give me a quote. The mechanic (I didnt catch his name but I believe it was Jerry, long beard cant miss him) looked it over and went to grab a couple tools. Long story short this man was able to fix my problem in less than 10 minutes. The most shocking part was that he wouldnt charge for it. A man deserves to get paid for his work especially when he just saved me hundreds of dollars. If I ever have an issue again I will 100% trust them to be honest and do excellent work. Needless to say this is one of the best monday mornings Ive ever had.

They worked on transmission my Jeep Wrangler got it back and it shifted like I just got it new.Update on review, transmission gave me issues a month later, they had me bring it back and had it fixed again and ready over the weekend. Also installed the radiator I had and its ran great since! Definitely recommend this place they stand behind their work and will be getting my business for now on

But I made a good going to a national company with national warranty, Tim did good job keeping me informed, found me a great deal on rental car, I love my h3 Hummer. Great experience / franchise owner incredibly helpful - had an issue the owner helped me troubleshoot before it became a very expensive repair. Tech was professional and clearly explained what was wrong and what was needed to complete the job. Would definitely recommend for transmission work (but also other work as well - they looked at my brakes too!)

Great experience. I drive a 2012 Subaru Forrester, so needed a shop that knows their way around a Subaru for routine maintenance and servicing. The staff were personable and got the job done quickly and affordably. Definitely going to be my shop for all future car services.

Tim the manager was great but the owner and the technician that worked on my car, I could say the least about. The owner did not communicate with his team and was giving me prices of how much I owe that was totally different from what his manager was giving. Then after my transmission was fixed, I still had problems and took it back to them. To make a long story short wanted to know what happen and the technician would not even bother to talk to me. I had to literally go to the back for him to explain what was going on. Thanks guys for the discount you did give me but I will never ever ever give you any of my hard working money. The disrespect I was shown by some of your team Tim was awful.

Great Place!! Went to get a second opinion on my car after the dealership quoted me $3,200+ to fix. They were honest and did their own diagnosis. Turns out, it was an $85 fix. Anyone who saves me $3,100+...deserves 5 stars.

Integrity, professional, competent are just some of the words to describe this dealer. They serviced my transmission in April and in September I developed a leak. They repaired without charge. This is why I will continue to return to their shop and highly recommend it everyone.

My transmission went out as I was driving through Chattanooga to take my family of 5 to Florida on vacation. This AAMCO station helped me arrange a tow truck, was waiting for me to drop off my car (it was after hours), directed me to a rental (2 min from their shop) and had my car repaired (new transmission) and waiting for us on our drive back through town. They were honest, professional and repaired my van for a very reasonable price. Cant recommend this AAMCO more highly.

I had transmission trouble traveling to Tennessee, the transmission was under warranty. I brought my truck to AAMCO in Chattanooga Tennessee. The people here was so helpful, they assessed the problem, removed transmission and replaced transmission quickly and they got me a big discount on a rental car.I recommend AAMCO to everyone, they are nationwide and they stand by their warranties.

I am from out of state and was concerned about my rebuilt transmission after driving up and down Lookout Mtn. a few times. The staff was accommodating and got me in right away. They assured me that my fears were unfounded and sent me on my way without any extra and unnecessary repairs. I made it back to Minnesota with no problems. Kudos to Thompson and the rest of the guys.

Owner and technicians are disrespectful and disregards females. The manger (I believe is Tim) is a nice gentleman, but the owner Thomson is disrespectful and this behavior is clearly part of the companys culture. They will prolong a service and not properly detail what services were performed. For an example, we brought our car back after it was serviced and when we returned for pick-up, we were simply told, heres your keys. No explanation was provided, until we asked. We were told, No worries. Its under warranty...Sorry, but thats not detailing the issue and what was fixed....also, where is the paperwork. Overall, just save yourself the time and financial burden.

Stopped by for a code read for Mercedes~Benz, was told that they could not read it, needed further diagnostic costing $280, then was told by the manager, this is typical of The Benz of that year Left, the code light went out, all is good, saved $280. Took our Mountaineer there to have transmission checked before we travel. Was told all checked out good, the noise we were hearing was the bushing. Then was told by the manager, another tech took it for a ride & the whole transmission needs replaced, $3000, REALLY, was then told, thats typical of the Mountaineer that year, funny same words, different car, I bet every vehicle taken there would have the same problem. I truly fear they did something to the Mountaineer because we said we would get another opinion since they first said it was fine, all checked out. Can you say CROOKS!!!! Would not recommend!!
