Obviously a great selection. I needed a laptop that works with my scheduling app for work. Was able to go online with a display and make sure I could use it properly.Only drawback was I couldnt get an associate to help me find one in stock.I went home and ordered it from Best Buy online.
My husband and son needed to get some things from Best Buy and one of the fabulous employees must have seen my fur baby looking inside for her boys and came outside to tell me that dogs were allowed inside. All of the employees were great to her and it made Annie Baby happy as well.What that employee didnt know, was that her best buddy passed away the week before. Our boxer Maddox was her protector and since his death she has needed her boys to reassure her. That small act of kindness was a blessing for us!
One of the best places to go to have a look at Electronics before you buy them. The store is well organized, bright, and has tons of inventory to look through. The employees working the floor are very knowledgeable and can help you pick out the right piece of equipment for your price range.

One of the only places around this area to get most of your tech needs, has good prices as long as your find deals. Service is like anywhere else... a few people that are very knowledgeable which is great! But the majority are people that have no clue really.That being said, just be nice and polite and eventually you will get to the people that can help you.
So I set up an appointment through apple and they sent me here to have my device serviced. My appointment was at 1:40 I dropped my phone off at 1:37. Told the representative that I preferred to pay when I picked my device up and he instructed me that he needed payment upfront. I paid them a 99$ service fee in which I gave him 105$ cash and received .78cent back. I then left and returned at 3:15 as my phone was ready for pick up. So I thought, instead my phone no longer had service and even though he fixed the glass he was too up tight to admit that he had given me a phone that only worked as a paper weight. Instead insisted my phone wouldn’t let me log in because it hadn’t been set up yet. (IdiotSquad) Forgot to put my SIM card in and apple will not let u into ur accounts without the two-step authentication. Still rather than listen to a customer the rep took my phone in the back and put broken parts back on my phone and then the sales manager refused to give me a refund. I called THE COPS Becuase that’s what it took to get my 100$ back. I’ll never gain the 4hrs I lost but I will not stop here this is just to share my experience I pray it’s is better.
Recycled my old PC before I moved here. Also purchased a few electronics and returned a few in the past. The staff here are super friendly. They were super patient when I returned the MacBook Pro here, which took a lot of time due to Apples security settings. They also delivered the item to the wrong address, which was my old address, but they are willing to refund me the delivery fee and reschedule me another one.
Cant find anyone to help you then when you do they sell you the wrong item. Then what I really went in for which eas to buy a cell phone from AT&T /Samsung but that person wasnt in that day. Then I went back to return the item that was not correct to purchase the correct item and thought I would see the cell phone person and that person could not be found but I did get the correct item sold to me this time. I learned a lesson just go to the AT&T store in Barracks Road Shopping Center even if you have to pay a little more.

Had a great time here getting my computer. I wanted to make sure I got the one for me. The staff member who showed me everything was extremely nice and answered all of my questions. I love my new computer.
Actually really like Best Buy. But what makes this place special is that you can recycle electronics here. Every other way to do it is wonky in Cville. Their cheerful disposition is an added bonus.
Bad customer service. I use to work at store 860 in Charlottesville. The C.A.R.E. plus use to be great! Really gone downhill. Car audio dept. tech was less enthused to deal with my questions. I understand that due to Covid, parts were not available in radios, but I left feeling very cold and not very good dealings. I decided to take my business to Crutchfield.
One of the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. My baby brother wanted the Xbox series s for his birthday I found one online available for same day in store pick up at a Best Buy approx. 35 minutes away. It was showing they had 1 left in stock and would be ready to pick up in an hour. I placed the order and as soon as my order was placed it said it would be ready for pick up on September 4th! 8 days!! Although my order summary before hitting purchase said it would be ready today 8-27-21 in an hour and would be held until September 1st.I then called the store to figure why an order i placed for pick up today was now saying I had to wait 8 days. The lady I spoke with said the website is misleading we don’t have the consoles in store they have to be shipped to us. That is way more than misleading! I told her this is not my local Best Buy location and I only purchased at this location because it said I could pick up today. She told me she would go ahead and cancel my order because they did not have it available for pick up today. I then decided to just order it online to have delivered to my house on 8-31-31 instead of waiting until September 8th to get at my local store. Once I placed the order online I got a confirmation text for my order, then a minute later I got another text saying that my order was canceled. I called customer service to figure out why my order was canceled. I spent an hour on the phone all to be told that my order was canceled because the system showed that i had placed the minimum order for the item as only 1 can be purchased. Even though the first order was canceled because they falsely advertised when it would be available. I was told they couldn’t do anything about it even though it showed on their end that the first order was canceled. It’s okay because after my experience with best buy (worst buy) I couldn’t be more happy to give my money to another company.

Waited over 30 minutes to get a smartwatch. 2 employees said to wait someone would be right over help. No I had to find someone coming in from a smoke break to check me out right where man number 2 was sitting with a phone. First woman said go up front and ask. Second man was to busy sitting and fiddling with a phone told me to wait for someone.
Ill never shop here again. Waited forever (over an half hour) to be greeted and helped only to get someone who couldnt answer any questions. Had to order a productfor delivery and when it arrived days later it kept kicking an error trying to do what it advertised doing. Called support and was told it would be 40$ to see if it was broken or not... on a 800$ item. I dont need to pay you to determine if something I literally just took out of the box works. Four associates later I had recieved absolutely no help and plenty of nasty attitude. The geek squad is terrible. The store associates were bad. The product is defective. Im out 800$ because I dealt with such a company as best buy.... but never again. The manager of this store should do their job for once. Whoever answers the 800# should be fired. Geek squad is trash and should be eliminated entirely.

I live 35 minutes from here & they’re no longer taking calls, I need to know if an item I want to buy is physically in the store before I drive an hour to purchase it. I’d like to avoid wasting time and gas going there just to walk away empty handed.
I wish I could give them a negative 5 (- 5). I live in Ohio and was moving my son into the dorms at UVA. I was being proactive by ordering his refrigerator online ( August 11th) to be picked up on August 18th in Charlottesville, VA. I arrived in the 18th at the store and they did not have the refrigerator in stock. I didnt understand because when I ordered it online it said it was in stock at this particular store. They told me so mumbo jumbo about it being sold in between the time that I placed the order and the 18th. They were able to let me know that it would be in the store on August 24th. My son is freshman in college cant have a car in campus, I have to go back to Ohio.... How is he supposed to pick it up??? 🤔 They offered to deliver it, but my son would need to sit in his dorm room from 12pm until 8pm. HE HAS CLASS. There is way more to this story but 8 will leave it at this... There were no other mini refrigerators in a 250 mile radius of the campus and we had to wait until the 24th to pick it up. The corporate office on offered 10% off for my inconvenience. I will never purchase from the Charlottesville best buy again.#worsebuynotbestbuy
All I wanted was a USB to USB-C charger and had so many options that I finally grabbed one for $17.99, only to later walk by another display with more of them, but at more reasonable prices. Not a terrible experience...just seemed inefficient.
We did a curbside pickup for a TV. We were driving through on the way to Staunton and I was concerned that the TV wouldn’t be ready since we had ordered it late the previous night. We rolled up, popped the trunk and we had our TV in the car and back on the road in about 3 mins. Best Buy has their act together with their curbside pickup. Super happy and on schedule.

Very slow service. I had to wait a long time for an employee to show up at the order pickup counter. Im sure other staff saw me waiting but no one came to help or even acknowledged me. I paid for my order in advance, so I only needed someone to get it from behind the counter. Had I not placed the order for pickup, I could have been in and out in under two minutes.
I stopped by there on my way to Lynchburg yesterday. I needed a 4K TV to use for work purposes. I was looking for something specific and it seemed like it wasn’t available. But Nick and Joe worked really hard and we found what I wanted. They worked even harder to get it prepped up for me. So I really appreciate it! Good job guys!
I waited 2 months to have a stove delivered It turned out to be defective. I am still waiting for another one. This company has really gone down hill, no fault of the local stores personnel, they tried to do the best they could to assist me, but the central company administration policies are disorganized and unrealistic. No one at the 800 number seems to even know what the policies are, and it is impossible to contact the instore personnel by phone. I had to drive 30 miles to the closest store four different times to receive any help. I am still waiting for my range!

Best Buy is my first choice when I need to replace, or update my electronic toys. If they dont have my items in stock, I can usually get them within a day or two.
This review is directed to the Home Office of Best Buy (BB). My comments do not reflect poorly on any employee, as every employee I have had interactions with is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Rather, my issue is with having to call a national BB number to get an appt. for my Dads TV. The national BB phone system (plan on 1 to 2 hrs. being on hold and unintentional hang.ups), and the at-home repair policies are discriminatory to the elderly. Ive taken over these calls for Dad because he can not use a smart phone (email and texts required) or tolerate the long exchanges needed to arrange appts.

Ive purchased a number of electronics here over the years. Store employees are very friendly and helpful at this location. Unfortunately Best Buys customer service over the phone and on their website after you leave one of their stores is so frustrating and bad that they will never be a 5 star option unless it improves. Its so bad that I plan on getting my next electronic purchase somewhere else next time.

Do not buy your appliances from Best Buy. We received a dented dishwasher, they installed it and took our old one away until a new one could be sent to us. After they left, the dented dishwasher they installed died. Nothing worked. Reset our circuit breaker - nothing. Went to Best Buy and earliest they can come to our house to have it looked at is 2 weeks! We have baby bottles to wash! Our dishwasher was out of stock and they tried to get us to pay $200 more for an upgraded version. They wouldn’t even send someone out to see if they can fix it until a new one comes in stock. They would not loan us the display. I am completely horrified they would leave a family stranded for Christmas with no dishwasher at all. We are currently trying to go to Lowe’s to buy a new one and get a full refund from Best Buy. Again, don’t buy from Best Buy. We have been loyal customers for years - no more.

TVs are a great deal but cables are orders of magnitude more expensive than online.This place is quickly starting to look like a blend of sears, circuit city, and radio shack... I wish they had a clear product line like appliance mart, micro center, or frys electronics.

My wife had an appointment that we waited a half hour longer than the agreed time, but she was serviced eventually and my impulse purchases were of good quality. Overall okay experience for a large chain. Would come again.

Ive gone in looking for open box items the website said were in stock at this location but no one knew where to find them. Also most of the open box items dont have prices to be able to buy without finding someone to tell you the price. I also recently purchased a dishwasher with installation. The day of my appointment I got a call from the Best Buy/Geek Squad agent saying the dishwasher came in damaged, so I got rescheduled. On my reschedule date, I never got a call from anyone and a 3rd party installer showed up two hours after my appointment window, so I ended up calling the 888 customer service number to cancel the order completely. Im still waiting for the order to be cancelled after speaking with someone 5 days ago. My order shows its out for delivery and waiting for me to reschedule on bestbuy.com.

I’ve always had great service here, let me be clear. Recently I bought an Xbox controller from Best Buy for 64.99. The controller was not responsive and overall not the greatest quality. After driving into town to exchange the controller, I was told I had to ship it to Microsoft as they did not let the exchange in house.Understandably, it is a Microsoft issue, but it would be nice to know that before buying their product in house as well as stating that in their return policy.Further, I shop at bust buy because it is a brick and mortar store. If I can’t get my products serviced or exchanged AT their store, what is the point shopping there. I should also mention that the controller was purchased 11 days ago, it’s not like it’s a Microsoft extended warranty and has been several months.Unfortunately there is no longer any reason for me to shop here...

I went to get a new laptop but couldnt get anyone to wait on me.One employee in the computer department was waiting on a Lady who said she was going to check on line about what she wanted and left which left only me and the guy walked right by me and didnt ask me anything so I went to Sams Club and bought one there. Got helped right away by two different people, now that was customer service.
The store in Harrisonburg doesnt have many gas ranges on display.
I had an exceptionally good experience with helpful associates and a quick ordering process.

Consistently rude and unhelpful staff. Occasionally you may encounter a helpful pleasant staff member but these encounters are rare, few, and far between. If customer service means even a little bit to you dont bother here. Awful, bad, unpleasant begin to describe the average encounter here with every member of staff who isnt a manager and even some of those. Seek out an alternative.
