Absolutely Not some place we will go back🥲 it honestly was so upsetting waiting 43 min (timed) IN the establishment waiting for a frozen lemonade and a tea. 43 min? It wasn’t busy! We honestly watched the employee wait minutes between orders, bathrooms breaks, waiting more, then making one drink at a time, it was absolutely nuts for a none busy establishment making drinks like snails! I know how places are because of COVID but this was such a weird experience!!! NO one should wait 43 min for two drinks!???

I ordered the Cinnamon Milk Tea with boba and it was yummy! The store owner, Nicole, was super friendly, sweet, and helpful since it was my first time there. I loved the atmosphere as it was very warm and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back!

Prices were better than expected compared to mall rolled ice cream. Cost around $13 for two of them. My wife got a cookies and cream one and it was pretty good. I got the cheery cheerwine one and was really disappointed. It honestly didnt taste like anything at all. The cookies and cream tasted as expected, but the cheerwine one was extremely bland. The table wasnt wiped down before we sat there so it was a little dirty/sticky. Average experience but would be open to trying again

Very nice experience. Freshly chopped strawberries and cream for rolled ice cream. First time Ive had it, very tasty and simple.LOVE the sweetness scale for drinks too. Some certain coffee chains could take a lesson from this perfect option for their gag inducing sugar input.Thai tea was nice and strong. 25% sugar was right on the money.Wife and kiddos enjoyed their drink too.Pleasant atmosphere. Clean. Not too loud.Only recommendation would be to move the boxes of cups somewhere. Seemed out of place.

Had such an amazing experience today at this Cafe. The matcha boba tea was just how I like it not too sweet but not too dark was so yummy. Nicole was super sweet and welcoming teaching us about the different bobas and teas they have (she even let us sample the different teas which was so great.) The whole place in general was so comfy and lots chairs and place in back as well to sit and study/work. Will definitely be coming back to try the different teas.

I frequent this place quite often and the staff are some of the friendliest people you can meet. The owner Nicole is so kind to us and all of the staff are so helpful and willing to give recommendations. My only complaint is that the wait times can sometimes be really long especially if you have rolled ice cream orders in front of you. I suspect this is due to the pandemic/an off day. Otherwise, its one of my favorite boba places!!!

Excellent hidden little gem of a place for a refreshing bubble tea or rolled ice cream. My daughter found this location on her phone so we simply had to go and try.We ordered Panther Pride Bubble Milk Tea, Strawberry Matcha Milk Tea with Strawberry bursts that are just heavenly bubbles of fruit explosion.OMG, what a world of goodness! 😋 And the rolled ice cream is absolutely luscious and a must have. I ordered the Cafe Sua Da which was just perfection.The staff was friendly and ready to help customers with any of their questions. Wonderful staff, superior customer service, and just absolutely friendly. Please vist and experience Around The World Cafe.

It was an amazing place to get Thai rolled ice cream, they do an amazing job hooking up these Thai inspired sundaes if thats what you want to call them,I got the maple walnut btw, but they have several awesome flavors by the looks of the pictures online,Unfortunately the menu in the Cafe doesnt have pictures, but thats the only complaint I have, so an amazing job all around, It was a clean, well maintained Cafe, and very friendly staff,Good job Around the World Cafe,

This was one of the best cafes I’ve been to for bubble tea and quality hang-out. The sheer variety for the teas were overwhelming in a good way: black, oolong, green, butterfly pea flower, chrysanthemum, matcha and all kinds of fruit teas. They also had several delicious additives: boba, baby boba, jellies, bursting ones, aloes, fresh fruit, lychee, etc. The drinks were all unique but the proportions (the sweetness/strength) were somewhat uneven for some of our drinks even when we ordered the same thing, but the staff tried their hardest to fix our orders to our taste when we asked.The lounging spaces and the several board/card games made this shop one of my favorite places in Charlotte (we went through the “would you rather” card game as a group which was a great conversation started).Drink images: The green/pink one was the strawberry matcha milk tea with baby boba; fresh strawberries, colorful, smoothie-like, and fun for my first-time experience trying baby boba. The blue a special’s butterfly pea flower milk tea which ended up being overly sweet for my tastebuds.

I almost always forget initially to take pics of my stunning-looking tea and rolled ice cream orders here, because they are always so *absurdly* delicious that I tend to find myself immediately polishing off 2/3 of them before remembering to do so! Since the moment I first walked in, I adored Around The World Cafes welcoming atmosphere, wondrous, highly-knowledgeable owners, and--this coming from someone who isnt traditionally big on either item--the most consistently-enjoyable tea and ice cream I have ever come across! 50 Stars!!!!!!

Then came back 10 min later and had the strawberry fields rolled ice cream did not disappoint.. the owner and get mom were great very personable(great that she came out of retirement) over all great experience for my daughter who turned 13 today.

First time visit and it was great experience, I had some issue with my Ice cream order but they fixed it right away and even give me a refund. All girls are nice and professional. A bit busy on Sunday afternoon, probably next will come for boba during normal week days.Definitely worth to come and try!

Cute and Cozy little niche café!Me and my family live about a four minute walk from the café and visit probably weekly and they’ve definitely remembered us. Which is another treat the girls love! Everyone’s super friendly and accommodating.The prices are fair and even somewhat lower than other shops in the area. The kids usually get the rolled ice cream and we get a milk tea and both are really good! They have a pretty good variety for tea and Thai ice cream and the toppings are free. Another thing I really enjoy is the recyclable cups they use for the teas, and if you bring your cup back the next visit you can get a discount on your next bev. They also have a rewards program where you can get discounts, free birthday ice cream and other offers for various things. The shop is cozy with lots of books and board games to choose from. I recommend ATWC to all my family and friends for not just the treats but for the service as well!

Great unique place for special tea drinks. The employee was so very helpful in helping me select an item I would like. She was great at communicating all the options---and she did it with every customer that walked in. I chose a fruit tea (grapefruit with jasmine tea and light sugar). It was perfect and refreshing. I wished I lived closer to this shop but probably best for my wallet that I dont.

This is such a cool place! The space is large, simple and beautiful. They even have a back room if you need some privacy and peace. Their drink is AWESOME - it has stories behind it. I think it is one of the best coffee and tea stores in town. It is such a pleasure to talk to the owner Nicole - she did travel around the word and she is passionate about what she is doing! And you can taste people’s passion in their product!

We got a recommendation to come here from some trusted friends who told us they dont use powders to make their teas.We came by for some dessert after a dinner in the area wasnt quite filling enough.Lets start with the service. It was incredible. They were so friendly and helpful with recommendations. We werent sure what to get since weve never picked the kind of tea to get in a bubble tea before (Im guessing theres no picking a type of tea if a place uses powder?).We knew we wanted a milk tea with a milk cap and they recommended oolong tea with this, so thats what we got. It was the best bubble tea weve ever had. We got it with boba and jelly. I preferred the texture of the boba over the jelly.We also got a loopy fruit rolled ice cream topped with fruit loops, whipped cream, and sprinkles. The fruit loops mixed in made this really good.If you like bubble tea, you need to come here ASAP!

Out of the 5 or so bubble tea cafes I have tried in Charlotte, this place is by-far the best! The milk teas are made with REAL tea and no powdered milk. Customer service is incredible, too. HIGHLY recommend!

Love this place! Great drinks and friendly staff! So far Ive tried the iced matcha latte and vietnamese coffee. I really like how you can customize your drink with different types of boba and several milk and non-dairy options (you can choose lactose free, soy, coconut, or almond milk for no extra charge, while most places have an upcharge of 50¢ to $1). You can even choose how much ice and how much sweetener you want. Ive done online orders using the Cloosiv app, which has recently rebranded as Odeko. Very convenient for ordering ahead since you can easily choose all the customizations and pay through the app. Im looking forward to trying more drinks from here soon!

I really cant say good enough things about Around the World! Ive tried so many bubble tea places in Charlotte and the quality and taste here is the best. Nicole, the owner, cares about every drink and ice cream that goes out the door. They are so sweet! The ladies running the shop I mean, not the drinks. Not unless you want them to be! One of my favorite things is that you can customize the sweetness of your drink from 0% all the way to 100% in 25% increments. We drive from Concord every time to get our favorite bubble tea. Cant reccomend enough!

Had an issue with an order and they resolved it quickly. Wait time was longer than expected but was worth it.

This place has amazing teas. We ordered a strawberry passionfruit tea with the black round jellies...so good that I had to go back and get one for my husband. They use fresh fruit not from a carton.. The employees are wonderful and were very patient and helpful me as I was trying to decide what to order. I will be returning soon!

Great ice cream for a 40 minute wait

This was such a treat to get! Out of all the boba places in CLT, this has to be the best. The co-owner is so sweet, and the inside is amazing. Its cute, cozy, and fun! I went with my 2 other friends and it was absolutely delicious. Great work!!!☺️

This is a great bubble tea place. I loooove bubble tea and am picky about it. I really like the way it is usually sold in China where there are no weird powders, overpowering flavor syrups, etc. and you can adjust the sweetness level and toppings. Ive been disappointed by several bubble tea places in Charlotte, but this place is SO much better.The owner and staff are super friendly without being overbearing and are very knowledgeable. The menu has several options for tea bases, flavors, toppings, etc. without being overwhelming. The oolong is my favorite, but all the ones Ive tried have been really good. My only real critique is that I would prefer most of the teas to be a bit stronger. That being said, I like my tea way stronger than average and the tea here still tastes awesome, so I might be in the minority on this one. The boba itself is delicious and has consistently been fresh.I havent tried the rolled ice cream because thats not really my thing, but if youre looking for good bubble tea, go here! This is one of only two bubble tea places Ill go to in NC.

Tasted so good both the rolled ice cream and the tea. The two ladies that helped us were awesome. One girl took her time to help us find which type of tea we would like, gave us little samples then helped find the best that we would like. Wow! We got five different boba teas/fruit drinks and the rolled ice cream and each one of them was DELICIOUS! They use FRESH FRUITS and give you samples before you make your final choice. Amazing customer service and we will definitely be back!

Very friendly place, cool atmosphere, dog-friendly. The reason I give four stars is because the ice cream is not scoops like most places - they spread out fresh ice cream, and then roll up portions of it into a cup. The ice cream is a little too cold, too the point where its hard to use a spoon and feels like ice crystals. But hey, props for freshness!

I absolutely love this place! The quality of their tea is extraordinary and the service is very professional. Born and raised in China, I find the tea leaves they use are very authentic and remind me of home. The owners of this cute little cafe constantly try to explore new options to add to their menu and improve the taste and quality of their products. Ive tried jasmine milk tea, Yunnan black tea and mango green tea, and loved all of them. This has become my go-to place every weekend when I crave for a tasty boba tea, or just want to spend a cozy afternoon with my friends.

We heard about this place from the Scallion Pancake podcast. Unlike most other bubble tea places in town, this place does not use powders or any artificial ingredients. For this reason, the selection was a little different that what I was used to. The owner could see that I was clueless and was very good at giving descriptions. She even made up some samples of several of the teas to try. In the end I didnt step too far out of my comfort zone and ordered the Yunnan Noir Black which was similar to basic milk tea. It was terrific! The boba were also soft and tasty. My wife doesnt drink caffeine, so she got the chrysanthemum tea. She was a big fan as well! The decor was very nice as well. There were travel books on the tables to thumb through, so we could imagine our next vacation as we sat enjoying our tea. This place is a must try for any bubble tea fan!

The coffee was ok but dont order the ice cream.They just buy them from the grocery store (maybe Harris Teeter across the street) and serve. Most of the flavors were unavailable so was further disappointed.

I havent asked them but Im pretty sure theyre delicious too.
