Ice cream was really good! Would happily go back another time. I got the salted Oreo and am a better person because of it.

The ice cream was fabulous. The raspberry chip is on point and their version of the birthday cake is nice and not too sweet. Service was quick and efficient, they have some seating outside for you to enjoy the ice cream in the warm weather, come try some!

Overrated and overpriced. I got the peaches and cream. It had no flavor and tasted like mediocre vanilla. My husband got the salted Oreo which he said was better.The waffle cone was good. Service was okay. They have a cute little outdoor eating area. Right now you can pay contact less. And people are spaced out waiting to get in.They kind of force you to give them a tip because they ask you verbally instead of letting you mark it yourself using the tablet.

Edit: New hours fall of 2021 are so disappointing. They are now only open after it gets dark at 6 PM....ice cream at night only. I’m only in the downtown area during the day. Guess I’ll be giving this up.Prepare to be addicted to Salted Oreo...seriously delicious. Finding parking out on the streets surrounding the shop is typically a challenge though.

Wonderful small place for ice cream. The outside area is very cute. They have benches and rocking chairs outside. The staff was very kind and friendly. He was helpful with explanations and providing samples. Will definitely stop by again.

I decided to give this shop a try on a beautiful day, and I was not disappointed. The parlor is located in a convenient location with a fair amount of parking close by. The storefront is clean and very well taken care of. When we entered the establishment, the staff was friendly and explained everything necessary to make a well-informed decision. The ice cream was good and had a high-quality texture to it.

Great original flavors for vanilla and chocolate. Sea salt caramel a bit salty. Mint chocolate chip wasnt bad at all. Others flavors Def a stretch to enjoy. Some strange combos. Otherwise cute atmosphere and enough outdoor seating to make anyone happy. But no tables.

Golden Cow is officially my new golden standard for ice cream! The store itself is adorably decorated and super clean (with a cute little ice cream cone sign directing pedestrian traffic inside), but its the delicious, from-scratch, creamy-with-just-the-right-amount-of-crunch dunkaroos and salted oreo flavors that have my mouth watering just thinking about them as I write this review. Coming from a die-hard chocolate fan, the fact that these two flavors have me hooked speaks for itself. Loved the entire experience..and currently trying to come up with an excuse to get back to Charlotte to return. 😍🍦

The flavors are great!! They have some basics for those less adventurous, but I enjoyed the Charcoal Honey Comb. Friendly service and happy kids. I would recommend this place to anyone in any season.

So me and my family spent the afternoon in Charlotte and we ate dinner at capiches(amazing by the way) and decided to have dessert and went in search of ice cream and other than Dairy Queen this was one of the only options and it had great reviews..but to me this place is overrated and over priced.$4.50 for a single little scoop..without topping and without a cone.just in a cup..and if your looking for a creamy ice cream.this is not it.we tried 3 different flavors and while the flavors were okay(the chocolate tasted like a melted fudgicle) the texture was like a freezer burnt icy texture and not creamy like I expected from a creamery..if your looking for a nice place to sit outside and take your kids for some icecream(they don’t care about texture lol) it’s always good to support local and small business but it’s a pass for me personally

Delicious ice cream. They have flight. I tried Strawberry, pistachio, salted Oreo and Dunk Arooz. Salted Oreo was too salty for my taste. Strawberry and Pistachio were the best.

Had high hopes given the photos and name. When purchasing the ice cream, the counter/freezer is designed such that you cant see the ice cream. That meant that the cranberry chocolate swirl which I assumed was chocolate with cranberry was in all actuality vanilla ice cream with cranberry and tiny chocolate beads. As for the salted oreo, while salt is expected, it tasted so strongly of salt that I was reminded of the ocean and my friend was unable to finish it. The worst part was the price and texture. Not only were the ice creams expensive, but the texture of both ice creams was grainy/icy. While the staff was nice and friendly, I would highly recommend choosing another ice cream shop to visit if my experience represents their best effort.

My boyfriend and I got two kiddie sizes- the smallest size possible and it was TEN dollars. Wouldve been okay if either had tasted good. He tried the vegan hot chocolate ice cream and it was grainy with a bad aftertaste. I just got vanilla with sprinkles and they gave me more chalky sprinkles than ice cream. Not worth it. Go to Mr.Ks down the street. Its cheaper with way better options and quality.

Unique home made ice cream flavors will keep you coming back to try as the seasons change. I got lavender on a sugar cone and it was very good. They also have waffle cones and milk shakes. A small place means the line is usually going to be out the door, but we didnt wait more than 3 minutes until we were licking our ice cream. Some outdoor seating.

Love this place! The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and professional. I love the constant flavors like salted oreo and dunkaroos, but the seasonal flavors keep me coming back. Today I got the brown sugar chocolate chip cookie dough and it was so good. Easy 5 stars, cant wait to come back.

Fantastic! Everyone in my group was jealous that they didnt have the Berry Cobbler. Salted Oreo was a little to salty but is still a great flavor. Great staff as well.

Mint chocolate was icey and not as creamy and rich as I would like my Icecream. Needs more fat and flavor in my opinion. On the plus side, they do have fun flavors and friendly staff.

Three words: Dunkaroo. Ice. Cream. I didnt expect it to be as good as it was. You can buy it by the quart FYI... And man, the random flavors they come up with! Ive never had SPICY ice cream, but it was good.

So all the flavors were great, but the almond joy didnt have dark chocolate in it and it tasted like metal. Left a horrible taste and it lingered for awhile. Do not get it unless you can sample it.

Absolutely love golden cow! I think it’s the best ice cream shop in town and love their constantly rotating unique flavors. You can always find one or two you love. I love it so much, it even ended up in my wedding vows!

This location is one of my favorites. Nothing but pleasant experiences here. The bill was well within reason for the quality. If it was closer to my home I would be here often.

Today was my 1st visit and I can already say this is by far the BEST mint chocolate chip Ive ever had! Get it in a waffle cone or between 2 cookies!

Ice Cream Was Good, but.....Place was dirty, and a strong moldy smell permeated the interior. Young man serving us was pleasant, accommodating and upbeat.Flavors not on display, written in hard to read handwritten script on chalkboard behind counter. Parking was not a problem.Do not recommend.

There was definetly some high quality dairy used in the ice cream, unfortunately that can easily overpower other flavors in the milkshakes. My suggestion would be to stick to the scoops if you try more delicate flavors.

The 2 young ladies who served us were great and very nice. I had a kiddie bowl of their mint chocolate chip ice cream. It was so good! Nice location/neighborhood. Definitely recommend this place!

Very watered-down icecream, feels like eating ice

We live a bit far to be a regular, thank goodness because I would probably gain a few pounds if we did live closer! The staff is very friendly, explaining the different types of ice cream. But most importantly their ice cream is truly amazing!! Parking can be a bit tough though.

The salted orea tastes like the ice cream sandwich I never knew I wanted, grandpas whistles, and young summers.

This is a GREAT Ice cream spot. The ice cream is delicious! The service was great, and they even had some cold treats for my puppy! This place is in the perfect spot. A great place to escape the crowds of south end and enjoy some ice cream.

Location was good and the ice cream was reasonably priced. But the selection was disappointing. I went with salted oreo for familiarity and they werent lying. Thats the saltiest thing Ive had in a long time. We couldnt even finish it. For it to taste that salty on a frozen desert must mean that it was packed. I couldnt believe it. Id go back for convenience and a simple strawberry. Not any time soon though.

This is one of those places you go out of the way for. Its well worth the adventure off the old beaten path.This is craft ice cream at its finest. Its smooth, rich and creamy. The flavors range from the normal Chocolate Strawberry, to the cool and interesting like Dunkaroos and Salted Oreo, to the amazingly delicious and bizarre Earl Grey!You never know what new flavor of the week they will have when you stop by but its always worth a sample!

Go here for the dunkaroo ice cream. Its really good. A few of the other flavors Ive either had or sampled were pretty good but their ice cream leaves the inside of your mouth just coated in what I guess is cream which really just feels like a layer of wax on the inside of your mouth. Not pleasant which is why I havent been back in a long long time. Much better places without the bad after effect like Two Scoops, Elizabeth Creamery or Jenis ($$$).

Wow, the ice cream is so incredible! Its hard ice cream but has the texture somewhere between hard and soft serve. Smooth and creamy! And the flavors are amazing! I had the Salted Oreo, kids had Vanilla, my husband had Strawberry. All of them were delicious, even a basic flavor like Vanilla was something special. This is where you bring your friends when they visit Charlotte. Only con, its hard to find parking. No parking lot, you have to hope to find a spot in the street.

The OG South End ice cream. Good homemade flavors without the line of Jenis down the street. Salted Oreo is a must try, but they are always rotating flavors in and out. I absolutely love this place. Nothing like a small hometown locally owned ice cream place, in the middle of one of the fastest growing parts of the city. It fits perfectly in the spot its in South End. Had to try 3 flavors, just because they were so unique. Salted Oreo is worth all the hype. Prices are great too. We met the 2 owners of the shop, Husband and Wife. They have put Thier own personal touch on the building and its quite comfortable. Awesome atmosphere. Easily one of the best ice cream shops Ive ever been too.Edit: After numerous trips to this place. Ive been blown away by the Honeycomb Ice Cream. I can die a happy man now.

Ice cream tastes very underwhelming. Very limited flavor selection and even less that are unique flavors. Ice cream is a bit icy/watery and not creamy, which makes it melt quickly.

The ice cream is wonderful. But there is only 1 table to sit at. A few other chairs and some rocking chairs outside. Also the parking is horrible. Had to drive around 4 times before we got a spot.

This place is awesome! I had been craving ice cream for days but hadnt had any luck finding good non-dairy / vegan options. We walked into Golden Cow and asked if they had any. The owner, Alex, said they always have at least one non-dairy flavor. We tried their mango chile and their Mexican hot chocolate flavor which were both delicious! The flavors were so unique and the texture was perfect! They make all their ice cream in-house which is probably why its so good! Definitely check this place out. You wont regret it.

My wife and i come here weekly at the least. new flavors all the time. Delicious and handmade. Ill grab a photo next time Im in there. All the flavors are outstanding, though some are not for everyone. Usually a line, but it moves quick. And SAMPLES FOREVER!
