Unfortunate experience during my visit today. I was the second person in line with one person at the counter. I waited about 15 minutes before I was able to be helped and during that wait I noticed some questionable ethics from the employee at the front counter. The most concerning was when he told the couple in front of me Im not letting you leave without putting new tires on your car. I also heard him answer the phone and after putting the caller on hold he went on to express his displeasure about customers Who dont listen to him and just want to talk. Once I was able to be helped he asked if I had an appointment to which I told him I did. He asked my name and then quickly scoffed at me, sarcastically laughing that I missed my appointment time at 8:00am although my email confirmation showed my appointment time being 9:00am-10:00am. I showed him the confirmation time on my email and again he sarcastically laughed and shoulder shrugged and told me I missed my appointment. He then proceeded to talk to (what I assume was) an employee although he wasnt wearing any NTB clothing but instead a tank top that said something like tame the beast and workout clothes behind the service counter. Im assuming he just left the gym or thats allowed attire. If this is the way the front service counter is being managed I truly dont want to think about what could be happening behind the doors in the shop. I quickly walked out and dont plan on making any return trips. They were good in past visits, but today was concerning.
Me and my family have had terrible experiences at this location! First off it takes entirely too long for the most basic services such as an oil change. This is even with an appointment. There is no reason if I have an appointment for an oil change at 8am that I am still there at 11am. I took my Jeep there to get new tires and brakes and spent quite a bit of money. Upon leaving my brakes were making an annoying squealing noise as though a school bus was coming to a stop. I immediately turned around went back explained what the issue was. They “took a look” and supposedly did something but the noise was still there and they said there was nothing they could do?!?! My car was not making the noise before I brought it to you now there’s nothing you can do?? I ended taking the car to a mom and pop mechanic who fixed it a week later. My dad just went there to get new tires and less than 10 days later there is a leak. Instead of accommodating a customer who just spent their money for something BRAND NEW that’s leaking already. You tell them to leave the car down there all day and you will call him when it’s ready? That’s unacceptable! This is just my experiences but in the two times I have been there I have seen other customers have issues. Especially the “bringing your car in for one issue and when it’s fixed you leave and have an entirely new issue”. Just seems like the mechanics or technicians down there don’t know what they are doing.
Poor Customer Service. Will never go here EVER again. Save your time and money and go somewhere Else.
John and Chris did a great job in getting my car serviced today in a timely manner with a short staff. Special shout out to Sean who took his time to do a quick diagnostic on my check engine light a week ago on my way home from work. Thanks much - greatly appreciate you guys!
They do wonderful work here! Shawn (can’t remember if that’s his name or not, sorry!), in specific, is very friendly, generous, and goes the extra mile! This is the only place I feel comfortable taking my car.
Technician came out to my car and assessed the items that needed to be fixed. Actually told me how to fix two of them myself since it was a simple fix in order to save me money. Not used to this level of service from a mechanic. Was extremely impressed.
I have been taking my cars here for years, but wanted to make note that the current staff is the best theyve had so far after some not-so-friendly experiences in the past. Sean in particular is very pleasant, and after having my battery replaced, I needed help resetting my radio. They took care of it very quickly and free of charge. Thank you Sean, Chris, and (I think) John.
After Meineke called me at 9 AM to let me know my scheduled 11 AM appointment had to be cancelled and rescheduled due to “their hands being tied” … I called this NTB location this morning (after calling several others first) and spoke with Chris. Since I didn’t have an appointment, I knew it would be a stretch to fit me in same day. Unfortunately, I needed to leave on vacation early tomorrow and there was no other option. They were able to fit me in and Sean was able to get me taken care of. Awesome Customer Service!

I brought my car into NTB to get a new battery. My car would not start and needed a jump to start, so I assumed it needed a new battery. When it came time to check out the manager Scott told me that I did not need a new battery, that my battery tested fine. Honesty appreciated!!! So many shops these days would have taken advantage, not this one. Integrity is priceless. On top of that, he called me to update me on the status. Great communication skills as well. Will definitely be coming back and putting a good word out there!
My Check Engine light came on as I was driving by the shop. I told Sean I have a regular mechanic but he came out to check it anyway. Was able to fix the problem in a couple minutes! He didnt need to take that 5 minutes to help but he did. Great employee!
Good luck getting service here. Booked an appointment online and took 1/2 day off work only to find out the mechanic was out and work could not be done on my car. 1 mechanic?
Unfortunately, the list of professional, honest and kind staff does NOT include their manager, Scott. I have been a repeat customer, but will absolutely not be back. When my car got to the shop, Scott said he would give me an update shortly. 1 hour passes - no word. So I called and he said they still had not looked at it. 2 more hours pass - no word. So I called again and another staff member answered and when Scott heard him talking to me he loudly said Just tell her we have a lot of things to look at and well get back to her. Its not gonna be a quick fix and it definitely wont be done by tonight. I explained that I heard Scott through the phone and that that was what I needed to know... That would have constituted the update I was promised so many hours ago.I went to the store after I got off work and as I was talking to the guy at the front and asking if I could get some stuff from my car, Scott decided to join in the conversation. He rudely said not to be rude but your car wasnt even here for that long. Regardless of the subjective nature of car shop times, there was little communication provided and when there was any with Scott, it was incredibly unpleasant. As the other staff member went to let the car down so I could get in, Scott raised his voice at me and spoke over me with an extremely condescending tone. When the other guy came back in, Scott said you can deal with her loud enough for me to hear. I am SHOCKED someone who acts this way and treats customers like this is a manager. Truly unfortunate the rest of the team has to deal with a toxic manager like that.
I cant even begin to describe the level of unprofessional behavior at this location. Ive been going to this location for years and over the past year its become progressively worse. Ill never go back (with my 3 cars). The workmanship is sloppy. The manager is entirely unreasonable. In my latest incident, they ruined one of my shocks, didnt tell me about it and later denied fault, and sent me out in an unsafe vehicle! Their explanation of what happened is physically impossible. They will be losing thousands of dollars in my business over a bad manager, poor workmanship, and a $50 part.
My daughters car had a big sidewall cut on a Saturday at 5:45p. She was heading back to school in WV the next morning at 8a so I was desperate to repair. Even though they were in the process of closing, when I explained my situation, the manager asked a technician to stay late and replace it. He also searched to find the best price tire (at this point I would have paid anything and he could have really taken advantage of me). That was great service and great compassion for a Father in need.
I took my companys truck to this place this morning to get the alignment done. My company has an account already established here and most of the vehicles are 1500 and 2500 and up pick up trucks. The appointment was scheduled ahead of time and all the vehicle characteristics/information was provided then. When I got to the appointment today, I waited over 35 minutes for them to tell me the vehicle didnt fit, and they couldnt do the alignment. How is this even possible if they already knew the size of my vehicle? To be honest, it seemed like the conversation the workers were having was more interesting than providing the service to the customers..
I was stranded & desperate, really far from home and thankfully I ended up here. Scott and the crew were suuuper knowledgeable about their work and also really friendly. I was scared in an unfamiliar area of town but these guys took great care of me. Scott came out to the car, checked my tires, and searched until he found a tire and price that worked for me. My tire size is rare but he was EXTREMELYYYYYY helpful in finding a solution. Their friendly demeanor and willingness to help me put me at ease. I would totally 100% go back and recommend this place to anyone. They know what they’re doing! The whole process took maybe 30 minutes. Great work, quality tires, affordable, knowledgeable... Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

After being a customer for 12 years - especially this location, i will never shop at NTB ever again and i advise you take your business locally - such as Woodys or a more customer friendly store. Dropped the car off for oil change today - on time and was told that they would call when completed. Instead, they called an hour later saying they could not do the oil change due to valve cover leak and excess oil near the oil spout (which i spilled 2 times trying to add oil previously. In any case, they were the ones that diagnosed the valve cover gasket issue last time and this time they told me that due to the valve cover gasket and the other excess oil they could not change the oil - they claim to have tried to call me for a couple of hours (not at all true) only received one call from them. Told them i would go elsewhere and the manager (not sure if it was shawn) told me fine - we dont want your business anyways and was extremely rude and said if he had known about what i told him when the car was in the air he would have done it but he said oh well - whatever - all said in a smirk fashion. They used to be really good and dont know why the constant turnaround of personnel but this batch of thieves is the worst. Again, if you want good service and want to deal with someone much better with customer service and someone that doesnt berate their customers - beware - go elsewhere - Will never go there again. Going to give Woodys my business from now on and support local business and those that will treat me right. 12 years done and gone from NTB.
Woke up to a dead battery thanks to winter. Was able to get a jump and headed straight over. They had me in and out fast.
Had a flat tire which could not be repaired so scheduled appt to replace. Service was done on time and staff was very courteous and even gave me a heads up on some specials running which I took advantage of.

I dont like to wait. When I called I asked for the first appointment on ANY day so that my truck would be first in and done. I explained that I had previous problems with another NTB location where the manager lied to me and didnt do what he said and I had contacted corporate headquarters about it. I was there 10 minutes early and was told it would take 1.5 hours it took 2.5 hours. I asked if something was wrong with my truck. The answer was no the tech is just slow. Why would they give my vehicle to someone slow if I am waiting and I have gone out of my way to make a point that I will be waiting for vehicle and given the store the flexibility to choose the day most convenient for the store to minimize my waiting time. Its rude and bad business. They did take $100 off my $1300.00 bill for the wait but I would have rather had them do what they said they would do.
Unable to diagnose loose radiator hose. Wanted me to buy a new radiator. Filed my state inspection with the wrong license plate.
I got a simple oil change done. I noticed their schedule was very effectively handled. I had walked in the day before and told they were full, and scheduled the next day. I appreciate that they were realistic about whether they could fit me in, when I hadnt called ahead. The staff is friendly and easy to work with. Parking is a snap. The office is clean and comfortable, with fresh coffee and a remote sitting out for the TV. Pretty painless!
My experience here was absolutely horrible. I took my car in to have the water pump replaced it was fairly expensive but I went ahead and I trusted these people with my car! When picking the car up my son noticed it was knocking. After revving the engine up several times finding out that the tension pulley for the belt was loose. Took the car back to them within minutes and the first thing they wanted to say was that the pulley is bad and we needed a new pulley and serpentine belt. my problem with this is that if you were doing a water pump... did you not check to see if all of them mechanics of doing the water pump job was all in working order seems to me that checking on the pulley and everything surrounding the water pump was the first thing that you do. But instead they wind up charging us for a whole new job labor and everything when I truly believe they damaged the pulley themselves. Then on top of that they failed to put the wheel well cover back on the car sufficiently. And as my son was driving his car it was pulled off and damaged and then we had to wait on them to replace that. I believe Mike is the manager of the store he is not a very good customer service relation person. I dealt with Paul who has a whole lot more patience with customers. The young man Sean quickly accused me of not knowing what I told him when I went there and making excuses for their company which there is no excuse for lack of good service. Will never use this company for anything. I think I will be connecting the BBB.

NTB has great deals on tires but it might not be worth the pain of dealing with this store. Things take longer than they tell you. They dont call to update you. They act like nothing is their fault. They are short-staffed most of the time. If I stick with NTB, Im looking for a different location next time.

As I’m am writing this I am sitting in the lobby. I was told to expect a two hour wait for 4 new tires and an alignment although the gentlemen stated, “there was no one up”. After waiting an 1 and 40 minutes I notice my car hasn’t moved. I go to the counter and the gentlemen sees me from the garage and immediately moves to get my truck. I have now been waiting for three hours for an alignment and 4 tires. I don’t appreciate being lied too. I should have listen to the other reviews. Service is what keeps people loyal. Here you will be another number.NTB before you respond with a link for me to fill out a contact form... what you can do to help is improve your service, and discount the work you have done.Update to this experience, they broke my TPMS that’s measures tire pressure. I had to go back and wait another hour. I got nothing to compensate me for my time. The prices are competitive but the service makes you question is the discount worth it

I have been going to the Camfield location for many years for a variety of services. It is conveniently located near my neighborhood. The staff is friendly. It is a busy place, so I normally make an appointment and wait for my vehicle. The service is usually done in a timely manner. I will continue to have my vehicles serviced there.
I had ordered and scheduled tire installation ahead of time for 9am. I arrived early and had all the paperwork done by 9. I was told the changeover of 4 tires would take 90 minutes, which seemed long to me. 30 minutes later, they finally brought my car into the shop. After 2 hours (now 11am), I inquired on the status. They were just finishing up. Just after 11:30 (a full hour after their estimate), they said my car was done, and I went up front to pay the bill and finish the paperwork. I asked about the road hazard warranty on the tires, as advertised in the tire description. First guy said there wasnt one, but another guy said Continental itself offers some protection on their tires. He went to find the brochure, but came back empty, and referred me to their website. Went out to get my car, but had to wait a few more minutes - now 11:45.I was very disappointed. Beware!

Be warned! If you take your car here for inspection, they will find something wrong and it will be expensive to fix. In my case, the inspector found a loose tie rod and wanted $850 to fix it. Of course they failed the inspection, wasting hours of my time. I then took the car to Mr Inspection and low and behold, it passed. This place is as croooked as it gets... will never take my car there again.
I came in for new tires. They did balance and alignment and messed up my car while doing alignment. My car had like 15 different lights on and was not safe to drive and their manager took my car to the dealership. It’s been there for 3 months and their E&O insurance declined the claim.Talked to multiple people bunch of times and every time was given different answer. Bunch of crooks!Beware and stay away from this place!
I came here for a quote because my power steering was broken and leaking fluid. Not only did they misdiagnose the problem but they also gave me a quote for about $400 dollars more than it actually cost to fix it (i went to the hyundai dealer instead). They also have expensive oil changes and make you wait a good while.
Cant say enough how much I appreciate them working on my old junker of a vehicle. Most places would turn it away as fear of other parts braking but they keep working with me as they know Im trying to get out of it. Joey the Manager is such a nice guy and truly gives a damn about people. I can appreciate this more than anything out of a mechanic shop.
Best experience getting my car changed. Jim Wilson was so accommodating and efficient. They had me in and out quickly. They seriously have the nicest staff ever. I also feel like they didnt over charge me- they had my best interests in mind.
Timely service. However, pressure in three out of four tires was 30 PSI. Pressure in the fourth tire was 38 PSI. Cap was missing on one valve. They rotated and balanced tires for free which was nice. They did an alignment. Car still pulling to the right as I drove back home. Alignments come with a one year warranty, which I will certainly have to use.
Repeated bad service. Go somewhere else.
I was able to pick my car up at the agreed time, and the store manager called me when he found something that needed to be worked on for my vehicle before doing any work. That is so appreciated because I have had some shops do extra work without any calls or warnings. He was not pushy in the least, he also provided me with an estimate on the work done which made me comfortable doing the extra work knowing the cost up front. Theyre fast and reliable, I will never go anywhere else!
I was an out of state visitor and had a flat on a Sunday during a trip to the area. Plus I have specialty run-flat tires which are hard to find. Tire Kingdom had the tire I needed at a reasonable price. They took me in quickly and got me in and out and back on the road in half an hour. I highly recommend Tire Kingdom!
Our company has an account with NTB and we use company WEX FLEET card to get any services statewide. But they denied accepting company card and acted like they don’t know because the transaction takes more time and sometimes it needs company approval. very poor customer service.
I was referred by a friend 9 years ago. In all that time, they have kept my car in excellent working condition. The staff is respectful to customers. The waiting area is clean and fresh Keurig coffee is always available.. There are also eateries nearby that one can walk to while waiting. Thanks Randy and Tire Kingdom.
This is one of the fastest and friendliest places to get your car worked on. If you want something done right and you live in ballantyne this is the place to go. They dont try to sell you what you dont need. They have awesome customer service that makes all the differenceThey do get busy, but I recommend giving them a call to set up an appointment.

I am a mechanic by trade and I used to work at a similar tire shop. As I no longer have access to alignment or tire machines, I am very reluctant and picky about leaving my vehicles with someone else. I can tell you that everyone here from the Techs to the Service writers were very nice and did a great job.
My first visit to this location since its close to my new job. I scheduled an online appointment for 12 noon and decided to wait based on the online reviews. I figured if I came on an hour lunch, Id only be a few minutes late getting back. WRONG! I got there at 11:44 a.m. for a 12 p.m. appointment. At 12:40 my car was STILL sitting in the parking lot and I was told that it would take about an hour to an hour 1/2 to get it done, SMH. Because Im preparing to get on the road this evening, I had to leave it. I ended up having to spend nearly $30 to get a Lyft back to work AND to come back to get my car! This will never happen again. Id rather deal with an inconvenient drive for consistent service.
I was disappointed; I recently had four new tires installed and an alignment. I was not provided a standard “before alignment measurement spec sheet” only the “after”. Also, you think they would at least wipe off the tires and rims after they were finished, and the next morning when I checked the tire pressures, (my son’s college transportation, a trust thing) two tires were low, one was 29 psi and one was 31psi.Needless to say, NTB did not meet my expectations, Mike the Manager, who never even called to check up on me, (at my request) was not interested in what I had to say.
It was a terrible experience with a rude insulting man at the front desk. We asked for our keys back and nearly had to fight for them. Tried calling the district supervisor who refused my call. The corporate headquarters is inundated with complaints so after waiting two hours collectively we have up. Apparently the company has new management or new owners.
Can’t say enough good things about this location! They are honest, do great work, and have great customer service! Thank y’all for keeping our cars running well and safe!!!
Weve had a good experience every time weve taken our cars here. They seem to be honest and they havent tried to oversell us on anything which I greatly appreciate. We also bought all 4 of our Michelin tires here and have been very happy!
Thought this NTB was getting better. Come to find out after getting an oil change that the tech never secured my oil filter causing my car to leak oil. I will never go back to this location.

It was an absolutely terrible experience; I asked if they could drill out a screw that had broken off for my license plate and instead they drilled a separate hole into my car, permanently damaging it. Unbelievable!
This NTB location AWAYS provides amazingly GREAT service. I dropped vehicle off for an appointment the NEXT morning to perform a NC State Vehicle Inspection & Emissions inspection, as well as an oil & filter change. An hour after I dropped off my 4Runner for that NEXT days appointment I received a call that it was READY. Cant top that sort of customer service. I have purchased tires at this store for my vehicle and for my wifes. They have also performed major maintenance work on my vehicle and my daughters. This NTB location never disappointments. The service has ALWAYS been outstanding.
Hadnt been there in 5 years because of the horrible service over multiple visits. Recently went back and bought 4 new tires and had much better service, but was never told about road hazard. Went in this morning to get a flat fixed and even before they went and looked over the tire, I was told it was going to cost $31, WOW! Then I called and went to Discount Tire right over the NC/SC border on 521 and they fixed my flat for free even though I didnt purchase the tires from them. They even offered to sell me the road hazard I was never offered at Tire kingdom. Will never ever ever go to Tire Kingdom again!
Took my car for oil change and tire rotation.every thing done in 45 minutes while I was sipping store provided hot coffee and watching TV. Excellent job!!
Had a noon apt for an inspection was told it would take 45 minutes. Returned in 45 minutes and my vehicle had not been touched. That there was 2 noon Apts for inspection even though only one could be done at a time.Mechanic was fine.Front counter staff not good. I will not be back and I will use this experience whenever I teach or lecture regarding customer satisfaction and communication.
We have used location of NTB for several years. Justin was very helpful with my flat tire, and us buying a new tire. He suggested buying a 2nd then checked our spare and said it was fairly new. so that saves us some money. I hate pushy salesmen and was honest and that keeps me comming back !!!

We went in for an inspection on a year and a half year old car. They tried to tell us that the tires failed inspection and quoted us a new set of tires and said the work had to be done before they would pass inspection. We questioned it prior to researching what can cause a failure, and they stood their ground initially.We did our research, and said that we would pay them the $30 for that inspection and take it somewhere else for another $30 inspection, because we didnt believe them. We also pulled the inspection requirements and asked that they show us the failure points and put a mark on them so we could meausre it ourselves or have a trusted person measure it for us.At that point, they passed our inspection, and called it a misunderstanding. The manager that I talked to three different times (his name was Chris) throughout the day didnt even show up to tell us face to face that they passed the inspection. He made the poor teenage looking inspector do it for him.On top of it all, they acted like it was a favor that they passed the inspection for us.You be the judge.To Chris - how do you live with yourself?
People nice and friendly; Waiting room could be better.. All work that I took car there for was not done; had to have them recheck and complete before I left.

I’ve been in the transportation business for 23 years, and today at this location, I received the best tire replacement and alignment ever, thank you guys!!!
I recently took my 2013 hyundai sonata there and they try to get me to spend $695 on a intermediate steering shaft/alignment. I decided to get a second opinion at the Hyundai dealership and come to find out, the part I needed to replace was $4 on NAPA auto parts. All I can say is if you dont do your research on what is wrong with your car, they will screw you.
Overall is good, if they tell you one hour to wait add 30 minutes, friendly customer service
It wasnt the luck of the Irish! Well, it may have been St. Patricks Day....but the experience was fantastic. First off, I have been going to this facility for the last 10 years through all of its incantations, management changes and problems. I had a great conversation with Rick and Jim the two Managers brought in to turn this place around. If today was any indication, they are on the right path. I had a 2:30 appointment for an alignment and tire rotation. My car went back promptly at 2:30 and I was out in a bit under an hour. If you have tried them and walked away with a bad taste, give them a try again. These two gentleman appear committed to making this store a top performer!

Always try to ask to spend money not needed. Last a guy there told me to replace a pair of shocks, which does not have problems at all. He said you needed to replace every 50k miles.
Went did a oil change and free tire rotation, ready to check out they told me they did not do the tire rotation because I need new tires. Can you say conflict of interest or is it just a scam, I dont know, I talked to their corporate office about it and nothing has changed. I Wont Go Back
Friendly, polite and knowledgeable customer service from call for appointment to service desk at check in. Car service in a timely manner while I waited with TV and coffee provided in waiting room. Fair, competitive pricing. Squealing noise surfaced right after tire rotation. Took back in and NTB said noise is the engine; go to Volvo. I did & front axle had to be replaced. Im not sure why noise started after rotation and why NTB say it was the engine vs finding the broken axle when tires were moved. A dangerous issue that Volvo had no trouble spotting.
NTB made my day today!!! Im a retired 22 year Air Force veteran and I went in to have my punctured tire patched. The guys at NTB were very courteous and professional AND repaired my tire free of charge!!! THANKS NTB!

Went in for a flat tire and they said my tread on my tire was very low and wouldnt even look at the tire made me buy a brand new tire when i didnt need one. just wanted to say i did so they can get money and the one who did my car also stole money from my car lazy ass holes and then took over 2 hours for one tire replacement when at discount tire it would have taken 30 minutes
They were so much better when both of the Chriss worked there. These new people suck and I probably wont be back anytime soon except to get my free balance & rotate and alignment done. I got lifetime so might as well use it.
I went to NTB on 9/7/2015. I knew my alternator needed to be replaced but when they went to put the belt back on it broke too. I was disappointed because that was more money. The staff was so sweet after seeing my frustration they fixed my headlight for free. I was so appreciative. I highly recommend NBT and will be doing business with them in the future.
I had excellent service and will go back when needed. They patched my tire and have had no problems.
I went here for an oil change around 8am on a Saturday morning. When I got there I was told one hour, so I said Id be back in 1 hour. To allow enough time, I went back to the store about one hour and 45 minutes later. Once I was there, I still managed to have an additional 45 minute wait. Im thinking they walked over to Saudi Arabia, extracted the crude oil, and processed it before they put it in the car.In addition to the oil change, I asked if they could replace two tires. The person I was talking said I needed to replace all four. Once I stated I was only going to replace the two, they had no interest in taking my business.This was a very disappointing experience, and it was certainly my last visit to that place.
I received my car in a very reasonable timeframe.
Had a full service done today........on the way home I realized that they did not even put fluid for my wipers. They explained that they were so busy today that I could bring the car back in. What else did they forget? ......oh .....to turn the service light off. Would not use them again

I was in the charlotte area for a few days and had just had my car serviced for a routine oil change with a drain plug replacement at my home location in MD. I called NTB in MD and they sent me to the Camfield location #209. I went right over with very little notice and Jim handled everything and made it very easy and quick. My car was finished in just a couple hours. Thank you Jim!
They always treat me nice here but i think they charge way too much.
