I bought a rear engine rider off Craigslist and it would not drive when I got it home. I took it to Corkys and they thought it could be the gearbox, which is expense to replace. But, the loosened something up and got it working. They held it at their place for a few days, riding it around to make sure it didnt lock back up. They called me to pick it up and didnt charge me. Good, honest people and earned my business for life.

My family has been doing business at Corkys for years now after some bad experiences with service at big box stores, we always get our new mowers here and get them serviced every season here. They are always very swift and thorough with my equipment. Whenever I need new equipment that is worth the while Corkys is my go to place.

Here at Corkys Outdoor Power Equipment we try to make it abundantly clear that we only do warranty repairs on the units that we sell, this is made clear every time someone calls about their equipment that was purchased elsewhere. Unfortunately this is the only way we can keep our customers that purchase from here getting their units back when needing repaired, warranty work takes lots of paperwork and calls, which ends up taking way too much time. Sorry but we cant take care of all the big box stores warranty work or we would be out of business. We more than gladly take care of our units sold warranties. Thank you.

I’ve bought several things from them over the years. Today I ran into a problem and my blade wouldn’t engage on my mower. So loaded it up and brought it to Corkys about two miles from my house. I told them the story and they said let’s go take a look. They found the problem and got me going again... I know they can’t always help me right on the spot because they’re the busiest lawn mower shop in Charleston county but they did today when it mattered most. Also it’s always the same faces year after year working at Corkys and I like that about a place! Keep up the good work!!!

They are a supposed authorized TORO dealer, but wont service any TORO warrantied product unless it was bought there, despite the fact that TORO customer service directs you there (as the only authorized dealer in the Charleston area, unfortunately) for warranty repairs/replacement. They were VERY RUDE as well, with an attitude showing they were all too happy to tell me no. If there is some miscommunication between them and TORO regarding their authorized dealer status, they should do their best to remedy that and prevent people in the Charleston area from wasting their time with their unfriendly establishment. I wouldnt go there for anything else and would go out of my way to tell the same to anyone else who asks.

I took a troybilt lawn mower less cutting deck to Corkys on5-5-20 to replace the two drive belts and to repair fuel leak. When I picked it up on 5-8-20, the mower was still in a stop and go mode. I had paid the bill of $212 and upset why they gone ahead and worked on it if to fix it would cost over $250 which they had stated would be the max they would do on old mower. I did not look at the receipt until I got home when I discovered they had not replaced the belts, but had repaired the carburetor which did stop the fuel leak. They had done unauthorized work of changing oil, filter and fuel filter. I had not run engine over an hour since changing oil and filter. I was not going to replace air filter until drive functioned properly. You can see why I am so upset.

For the last 10 years Dean and Corkys has taken care of my equipment and the service has been great! As my old pieces have worn out I have replaced them with the Stihl brand they carry. Each piece has been as awesome and they told me it would be! I recommend them to everyone!

First time here. I am a small woman and needed to ask a neighbor to help me get the mower in the car to deliver back and forth. So keeping that in mind, the mechanic didnt fix my mower, didnt thread the belt and lost two screws in the assembly to my mower cover.I got it home in 100+ degree heat and the assist didnt work after they told me they fixed it.They werent fast or thorough. Im not interested in going back.

There are some places that have the technical assistance needed with week customer service. There are other places that have very knowledgeable salesman but low quality tech service. This is one of the VERY few places that is a well oiled machine of a business- from beginning to end.You are getting true career people that clearly know the technical side of small engine and yard equipment while providing unparalleled service for their industry (I’ve been to a handful of local ones and nobody touched this one). They all take pride in what they do.I’ve been going here for years, and just bought the IMow robotic lawnmower from them. Dean is a true ambassador for this company. He was so informative and even let me see one in action in a yard before I bought one. I had a simple fault code July 4th weekend. I asked if someone could come out Monday. Dean was at my house within 30 minutes same day!There are certain stores that people love to go to do business because of their high caliber products and service. Costco, Trader Joe’s, chic fila, etc. This is without a doubt part of my list of favorite places.

I have bee there several times for many reasons. They have worked with me to meet my goals. I have been using Stihl chain saws since 1968. They have parts to keep all your small engines running well. Much better customer service than obnoxious previous owner. Give them a try.

They sell Stihl outdoor tools. Though Stihl ous probably the very best in outdoor equipment, the people who work there are trained to use Bully Tactics, I couldnt believe the way they sell the very best tools to unknowing customers to get as much money out of your pockets as possible. You think vehicle sales people are the bottom of the barrel in sales, they dont hold a candle too these people. Yes, they sell the best in outdoor equipment, but if you go there, get ready to do battle.

If I could give a negative star I would. Never have I ever been disrespectively talked to as i was in this store. I had a belt I wanted them to match up. I told them I havent been back to my house in a few weeks and I did not have the model number. Was very rudely told I could not be helped. Never again

I would like to respond to zac zac by including all of the information on his visit to corkys instead of just what he wants to talk about. The customer brought in a unit for an estimate for a repair, the unit needed many things done to it to have it back to its original working condition, here are some key points, the unit did not run, had its cables at the handle rigged with some wire and a clamp where it had broken, and needed an overall service. The customer was called prior to any work and quoted a price to replace a bad carb assy, replaced the busted cables, replace a worn self propelled belt, and tune up the unit (new plug, air filter, oil, clean out fuel system, blade sharpen or replace). I am not going to give the total amount but it was pricey, but once again no work was performed and customer was recommended to not do the repair on the phone, to which he responded he would fix himself and he would come get the unit. Thats when after he hung up zac zac decided to call back and let us know what we were doing, supposedly trying to keep his not running, broken cables, no self propelling mower and resell it, however the truth is that he was given an honest quote on a machine not worth putting the money into. When I tried to explain that the used mowers we had were from the winter of piecing together junk mowers and rebuilding or replacing engines that where left for dead, he wasnt hearing it and proceeded to tell me he could say whatever he thought was going on without any facts because he was a customer, which I responded not if they are false with absolutely nothing to back them up. At this point he began to curse at me (the manager) and called us tough guy hillbillies, then cinderellas, so yes I did have some choice words back to him. But I was fair and spoke with him like an adult civilized person until the cursing and name calling began, I always tell anyone and everyone that if you speak with me civilized and professionally then the same will come back from me, but if not I can only deal with so much. I hope this response helps whoever reads it, thanks for listening.

Some of the rudest people you will ever meet! My first impression in the show room was very negative. The arogant salesman doesn’t let you get a word in he just talks with a bunch of rehearsed garbage. I decided to give these jerks the benefit of the doubt and let them look at my mower that I was having issues with. Long story short they quoted me an astronomical price (probly to big of a word for them) in hopes I would abandon my mower there so they can kidnap it and re-sell. You will notice there are plenty of junk used mowers for resale in the front. Pretty good racket they have. Also the repair man thinks he is Rambo and threatened to brake my teeth on the phone. I guess he is a lawn mower repairman tough guy. I highly recommend you take your buisness else where. This is a dying buisness and they have a three star rating for a reason. If anyone wants to hear our conversation I have the sound bite recorded thanks to my iPhone. I can email you a link. Worst experience ever! Sounds like ownership is trying to save their you know what...The Better Buisness Beurea has investigated this incident and will be posting this business’ actions permanently on their website and record. This buisness is trying to save their own skin by posting a fictitious rebuttal to the statement I have made. I guess they know nothing about the customer is always right. I’ve waisted enough of my own personal joy dealing with these morons so I will post no more. They have plenty of negative reviews on yellow pages and here. When a buisness resorts to writing a novel in response to their disgusting behavior it only makes them look worse. Enough said.

I would like to respond to the negative review by Adam K, the entire story was not told and the one star rating is not indicative with our work at corkys. The customer was charged for work on a blower that was requested by him, the fuel lines and fuel filter was replaced and the unit was repaired to running condition, however the tech noted on the ticket that when the unit was running he found it had bad internal noise and all work was stopped. Unfortunately, this could not be avoided in this instance, so the customer was charged for the 20 minutes and parts that were used to get the unit going. Im sorry that the unit was not able to be completely repaired, but just as you said our time here at Corkys is valuable to and we should be paid for the time to put the necessary parts on to start and diagnose the unit. In regards to the push mower, Im sorry that the mower was not repairable and that you had to wait the 7 to 10 business days for our mechanics to get to your unit. However in the busiest part of our season we post that you will have to wait for 7 to 10 business days on our board with repair times so that we can get to your unit. But in all fairness you have to wait in line just like everyone else, we dont give special treatment, sorry everyone is equal when it comes to repairs. Thank you for your time.
