All Seasons True Value/Just Ask Rental on Folly Road on James Island is a great source for all things tools and hardware. The store is well managed and organized and they make it very easy to find exactly what you need for your project so you can be on your way. I have been satisfied with all of the purchases that I have made here over the years.

Great service which you appreciate because this store has a family run atmosphere. I try to use this store whenever possible and its refreshing to frequent instead of the big box stores.

Love supporting a local hardware store. However there have been 3000 new cases of Covid in the last 2 days and the staff are not wearing masks. If you dont take the public health seriously I cannot shop there. I am looking forward to you being a part of the solution in South Carolina and requiring masks on everyone at work. Then I am back to supporting a local hardware store! This will be a 5 star when everyone is wearing masks.

Very helpful staff. Have most everything thing you need. Also, the go to place to get your propane tanks refilled. Much better option than the big box stores.

I am fairly new to Charleston. With as much caution and at times fearmongering that happens with hurricane storms, our local True Value on James Island goes WAY above and beyond to ensure our peace of mind :)!! They open early, stay late and stay open when the big boys refuse to (corporate stores). I am so grateful for their exemplary service overall. Beyond that, their store is very large and well stocked with items larger stores can’t carry, as True Value specializes in hardware and more. You’ve made another loyal lifetime customer!!

They are super friendly and helpful. I needed a spring for my gardening clippers that fit and wouldnt be a hand workout, and the employee was so nice! If you want something they dont have in stock, theyll order it for you and you can come by in a couple of days and pick it up. They will help you any way they can.

This contact changed my review from a 2 star to a 5 star review.Original Post: Some of my problems started with Husqvarna however this shop needs a little help on how to leave a finished project. Everyone that I interacted with was pleasant and did the best they could to help me. However when I did finally pick up my mower that should have been under warranty, This is a result of Husqvarna denying a claim that was clearly a manufacturing defect, (main bolt that held the blade broke) My mower was returned to me without the spark plug that was in it when I initially left it there. The cost that they did charge were reasonable. The frustration comes when you unload what should be a working product back into your driveway and try to start the mower and realize that the shop took the spark plug out and did not return it. I noticed this after they were closed on a Saturday and now well be going to another shop Lowes to finish the repair myself. If the shop does contact me after they read this post Ill be happy to update it.

Wonderful people but WAY too expensive. Im all about supporting my local guys, and they are really nice, but they charge so much for identical products that I am forced to shop at the Lowes down the street. I mean, I shopped there today for a certain item which was $14.96 at Lowes and $42.99 at the True Value. EXACT SAME ITEM. As much as I hated to do it, I went to Lowes instead. True value is still my first option, I just hope they dont continue pricing themselves out.

Staff is really knowledgeable, and always super helpful. Im a project person, always with some major project or another going on. My partner and I have several small businesses and properties to maintain. This place is like my secret weapon for tackling the seemingly impossible. Its amazing what one can do with the right tools!

Im a local Home Inspector and I like to refer my clients to this hardware store because of service. It is a hub of activity and a wealth of knowledge. If you want a 2X4 go to Lowes, If you NEED to fix something right go to True Value on Foley Rd.

Always my first stop when needing things, they have the friendliest and most helpful staff who actually know what they are talking about. From household needs to boat trailer rebuilding parts and everything in between, there is no better store in the area.

This is one of the remaining hardware stores where salespeople will give you as much attention helping you find the proper sink washer as they would buying a big ticket item. I have been using them for years and they are routinely more helpful than the big box retailers.

Much quicker and friendlier than Lowes or Home Depot! They also rent animal traps, etc. Theyll walk you right to what you need.
