What a great idea! Who doesnt like ice cream and cookies......combined?!?!? I had the salted caramel apple sandwich and it was delicious. It reminded me of a piece of apple pie and ice cream. Others in my group order birthday cake (which we decided was only for those with the sweetest of teeth), mint chocolate chip, the Elvis (which my mother-in-law said was her favorite), and the Key Lime Pie (which we thought was good but could use a little more tartness). Really a nice treat for the kids. Id recommend waiting for a bit before biting into them. Some need time to warm a little so you can bite through portions of the pie (the caramel in my was very solid). The service was friendly, fast, and awesome. The guy behind the counter was friendly and fun. He really made our girls feel welcome. I would definitely return to try other options at Peace Pie. Well done!
Ice cream sandwiches looked ok, thats where it all went wrong. Got the cookie dough with chocolate sandwich cookie. Girl described the cookie part as semisoft.... absolutely a lie, they were hard as dog biscuits with likely the same taste. The vanilla ice cream has zero point zero flavor. It was such a terrible waste of resources all around for all parties except the people taking my money. Actually after 2 bites went back into the store and threw it in their trash. Do not waste your money. Stick with anything else.Service was good... little disappointed the sandwiches came out of a freezer. Who knows how long they have been in there.
Absolutely love this place. You can’t go wrong with any pie you choose. Used them to cater our wedding desserts too.
A great idea - a crunchy cookie (not too thick), well frozen ice cream, and a layer of something from a pie or dessert (in our case pecan pie and key lime pie filling). Probably the best ice cream sandwich Ive ever had.
We take them home and cut them into smaller parts with a giant knife. Also then you can share flavors more easily. Weve had almost every flavor but:APPLE PIE - DO IT.Key Lime.Banana pudding.Coconut creme pie.If these flavor profiles were combined with the chewy softness of the High Craft cookies, these would rule the ice cream sandwich world. ✌🏽
GO HERE! The ice cream sandwich choices are wide ranging. While it looks like these are just too big and thus impossible to eat without all the ice cream ending up on your lap -you know, like half of all S’mores. Well - wrong! They’ve figured out just the right consistency so give these a try and maybe your dog will get a small crumb at best.
Super yummy ice cream sandwich places. Definitely a family favorite. The recipe they come up with is fun and innovative. My only complaint so far is they pre-made the sandwich ahead of time (no issue with that) which means some of the recipes that includes caramel became rock solid in the freezer and require waiting for the caramel to warm up slightly which at that point the ice cream is melting all over. Perhaps change the process a little bit, make the sandwich san caramel ahead of time, put it in freezer and then when customer order it, add fresh caramel to it?
Dang good...key lime and pecan pie flavor..yes you will eat it all...
Didnt get to go in due to covid but had a good selection of ice cream favorites. I had the Boston cream... The vanilla ice cream and Boston cream was delicious and the chocolate mousse was smooth. Once a little melted it was a great combination! Shortbread cookie had a nice crumble and buttery flavor. Definitely wanted another the same day.
SO DELICIOUS!!!! The pie filling and ice cream were such a good combo! Super friendly server who made us special seats inside during a thunderstorm! THANK YOU!!
Ice cream sandwich king! This is a must stop when looking for something different. The coconut cream sandwich is to die for.
Great place! They have amazing ice cream sandwiches! Very fast at serving customers :))
The BEST ice cream sandwiches. Second time there. I visit every time I visit.
Wonderful staff and great ice cream! We had the strawberry shortcake and salted caramel brownie. They were both huge and so freaking good! Definitely a must stop.
You have to try this. Its amazingly delicious. The icream sandwiched between shortbread biscuits and the toppings its amazing.its not overly sweet as one might think. In fact its just right. Better than any desert I have had so far and only for 6 dollars. Highly highly recomended. The pecan pie flavor is to die for. A must try when in Charleston and craving something sweet. If you live here you must go. Aaaaaaamaaaziiiiinnng
This was overall disappointing. You order at a window from someone who acts like you are a burden, then when he turns around and grabs them out of a freezer (they are pre-made), he asks you for a tip while handing it to you. They are hard as a rock, but taste pretty good.
We are here 3 times during our 5 day visit. It was that good. Highly recommend.
Must have when you travel to the city, staff was super friendly and nice. Best ice cream sandwich.
Sweet little spot - delicious ice cream sandwiches!!
Great customer service! Salted Caramel Pie was amazing, tasted like actual apple pie!!!
Enjoy the best ice cream sandwiches of all the Charleston. Great staff, a high variety of different flavors Its just a great place to go and hang out and enjoy a nice peace pie. I would suggest if you like peanut butter try the peanut butter brownie caramel its the best ( home made peanut butter ice cream)
These are delicious!! We got these every night during our 1 week stay in Charleston!! Looking forward to enjoying these again during our next visit!
We had a great experience after a very rough day. My son broke his arm and after we spent all day at MUSC all my son wanted was Peace Pie. We stopped in and the staff was great. She realized my son had a fresh cast and gave him a free Peace Pie Sticker! These are the little things that make me want to come back and to boot the ice cream was amazing! Great service great staff and perfect ice cream 5 stars all day!
Not sure what all the hype is over these. The sandwiches were prepacked and too frozen when we got them. Taste was mediocre. Tasty enough after a warm day of walking all around town, but didnt live up to our expectations for a good ice cream sandwich.
Southern pies turned into ice cream, served with a twist as pie-wich, sandwiching the pie filling flavored dessert and creme with pie crust biscuits on the top and bottom. Its a place where I go to satisfy my southern sweet tooth while enjoying the flavors of the ingredients without the all-engulfing sugar mask that is unfortunately the trend of most southern sweet shops. These authentic tasting pie filling ice creams are calorie rich and a bit heavy, but worth every bite :) The most popular flavor is pecan pie, but some of the new flavors like birthday cake pie or orange cremecikle pie are pretty interesting as well
So due to COVID-19 you had to ring a bell and order at a window while standing outside. Ice cream sandwiches were just so-so, clearly pre-made and simply pulled from a freezer. Customer service was really poor. Not so much as a standard greeting from this guy.If I were them Id replace the whole operation with a vending machine, stocked daily. You could save money on rent and operational overhead, and get the same (or maybe even better) customer service.
Not made to order - so they were pretty difficult to eat. But delicious nonetheless!
This is an ice cream sandwich shop. They stay open late at night so you can check them out after the bars. The sandwiches are probably hand made in house, and are very tasty. Theyre also pretty easy to eat with one hand. The cookies are more like graham crackers, but that makes them more manageable. Birthday cake is probably the best. Would go again.
Had the Pecan pie, my husband had the Key lime. Both yummy. Work out your jaws before arriving. These are a big bite!
I had the lemon sandwich and my fiance had the creme brulee sandwich. Both were delicious and needed on a hot September day.
I heard good things about this peace pie, so I figured id stop in after dinner and see for myself. As a peanut butter lover, I asked which of the three in the display refrigerator had most peanut butter. The woman behind the counter, (maybe the owner?) suggested another, which she had just made that day and was still in the freezer. She hand made ther peanut butter ice cream, which was layered with chocolate brownies and caramel, sandwiched between 2 oreo cookies. And, it was amazing! I mean, ther kind of delicious that you never want to end! And I almost forgot to snap a photo until I had almost gobbled it all away!! Ahhhhhh, that was a perfect end to my Charlston experience! Great job Peace Pie!
No go, looked ok on google, but icky up close
Unique ice cream sandwiches.
Fun place downtown for ice cream sandwiches. Peanut butter sandwich and banana cream sandwich were both good, but couldve been more flavorful.
The ice cream was very good, but a little pricy
Excellent dessert place! The service was quick and gracious, and the ice cream sandwiches were delish!!
Super friendly staff and amazing cookies and cream ice cream sandwich! Great treat after dinner
I love this place. I stumbled upon it by accident looking for another ice cream shop. Its been my spot ever since. Anytime Im in the area, I come here. The cookies are all home made. Lovely.
This is basically an ice-cream sandwich; 2 cookies, with ice-cream & a pie-filling in the middle. Its a pie ala mode all together in one! They are absolutely DELICIOUS & they are H-U-G-E! My Husband had the Banana Cream & I got the Salted Caramel Brownie, & it was truly a decadent, delightful treat! Peace Pie alone is enough to make you seriously consider moving to Charleston! I could not more highly recommend this place! Try it; you will not be disappointed!🍪+🍦+🍫+🍪= 😋
Overall lack of flavor! I got the peanut butter brownie and it only had the slightest hint of peanut butter flavor. Mostly only tasted vanilla ice cream. My wife got the banana and tasted NO banana flavor. Just average vanilla ice cream. Would not recommend and will never be back.
Bought two. Delicious treat, bit pricy at $6. But worth the splurge. Employee at counter could use a customer service refresher.
So-so ice cream sandwiches. Hard cookie with frozen ice cream. Would prefer soft cookie with sister ice cream.
Amazing!!!! Very friendly owners! Will most definitely go back and must go try them they are too good! Recommend the caramel brownie sandwich!!!!!
Other similar places Ive been to usually make the sandwiches to order, that way the cookies arent so hard. It was still delicious, just wish it wasnt so tough to eat. For anyone wondering, there is no indoor seating, just a couple benches out front.
The ice cream sandwiches tasted great and service was quick. I’m not sure if they really stood out like other dessert places nearby but definitely worth a try!
Best and unique ice cream sandwiches Ive ever had. Very limited seating inside (for about 4 or 5) and a couple benches outside. But you dont really need a seat to eat these handheld delights.
Three of us split the key lime. I love all things key lime, so the inside was my favorite part. The cookie was a little hard and not as good as I wanted it to be. Just really big and difficult to figure out how to eat before it melted all over our hands.
This is a really great little dessert shop! The staff was helpful and kind, the ice cream sandwiches were tasty. What more can you ask?
I went to this ice cream shop hearing positive things but when I went inside the person working there did not greet me, say hello or look interested though I said hi. When I went to pay he snatched my credit card and only say “have a nice day” with a soft unspoken voice. The ice cream was very mediocre so I gave him no tip.
The ice cream sandwiches here were amazing. Very good selection as well and I did not have a wait. Just say which one you want, they pick it out for you and you are on your way. Quick and easy.
Oh, Lord. What a great idea. Pie a la mode between two cookies. I had pecan pie. Kinda rich, but duh! Read through the bucket list. You are bound to find a favorite. This is why we eat one meal each day on vacation. Dessert!
Lots of different varieties! The staff was nice. I’ve cream sandwiches were like bricks. Couldn’t eat until 10 min till it softened up a bit, but cookie was still super hard. A bit pricey for what they are worth. But it was good
Really cute and interesting ice cream sandwiches. Unsure who our server was, but she was attentive and kind (we went 6/25/18, in the evening - if the owner or manager cares to give this sweet girl some recognition). Our sandwiches were tasty and a real treat while visiting Charleston.
Great concept! Hard to choose but the person helping us was able to describe the sandwiches to help us decide. Kinda wish there was a rest room and more seating. Otherwise amazing, and we will be back to try more flavors next time were in town!
Satisfy your ice cream sandwich craving with great shortbread cookies, fresh premium ice cream, and pie filling. The cookies really hold up while you enjoy the ice cream sandwich, and provide a satisfying crunch. So many varieties to choose from!
Simply the best ice cream sandwich I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. Ive been several times and everything I have tried has been awesome.
Best ice cream sandwiches Ive ever had. Im lucky enough to live right up the street, but even while traveling to places like NYC, they have nothing like this. Also, most importantly, beard friendly. If you know, you know what I mean.
I have to admit, the banana creme was really good. Jenis line was too long and there was no one here so I tried it and it was good. I recommend that you sell your ice cream and make your cones from your cookie dough. People want traditional looking things.
I’ve never been one for cookie sandwiches but this changed my mind. It was the perfect way to end dinner at fancy restaurants. Get your ice cream sandwich and eat it in bed. 10/10.
I purchased two peace pies tonight (7/31/19); one for myself and another person. When I entered the store, I said hi to the lady working behind the counter. I was completely ignored. When she was done serving the people in front of me, I stepped up and said hi again, giving the benefit of the doubt that she just didnt hear me; still nothing. She stared at me until I told her what I wanted, and when I told her, she boxed up the two pies and used the tablet to set up payment. She said $12 and then ran my card. I said thank you, have a good night and she didnt reply. Overall the pies themselves were pretty good, the pie is a little hard (we walked back to our hotel room about 10-15 minutes away, then ate) and theres a lot of ice cream in the middle, so it makes it a little difficult to eat. Overall, our experience with this place was ruined by the employees lack of customer service. We will not be returning.
Service was great. Ice cream and the cookie were inedible. I would skip the chocolate brownie - it really sucked paying $8 (with tip) only to throw it out.
Six bucks seemed a little steep for an ice cream sandwich, but both my wife and I needed a little pick-me-up, and this sounded interesting, so we tried it. We received very friendly service, and the product was awesome--worth every penny. We shared just one, peaches and cream, and it was plenty of food to curb both of our munchies. Tasted great! Well be checking out their location in St. Augustine, FL when we travel there.
Excellent ice cream sandwich. You get your moneys worth and more.Great flavors to choose from.
Love Peace Pie! Great twist on dessert. Who doesn’t love cookies and ice cream?!? The Pecan Pie and Strawberry Shortcake are both delicious!
OH MY GOSH! Never had anything like this before. An ice cream sandwich with pie filling! HELL YES. They had so many different options, I didnt even know what to try. I ended up getting the pumpkin cheesecake and it was excellent. The sandwiches are also HUGE! Couldnt finish the whole thing by myself. Definitely a fun and delicious stop in downtown Charleston that everyone should try!
This place is new and is really good. We walked into here on a whim and were glad we did. The selection of ice cream pies (sandwiches) are great and so are the flavors. We went back a few times during our visit here.
This was a great place to come. The ice cream sandwiches were very nice but also the ice cream is very hard. The hard ice cream made it a little difficult to eat being that it kind of broke instead of crushing which meant ice cream got everywhere. The sandwiches would’ve been perfect if the ice cream was softer. That’s all I have to say.
Greatest ice cream sandwiches on the planet I love this place
Absolutely delicious. I came here about 3 times over the weekend for vacation. Each one was absolutely delicious
It has been 3 months after our trip and I definitely wanted to make sure we leave a review.I went to Charleston on a business Trip to Charleston and decided to have desert. #BestIdeaEverThe young lady was very nice to us and sweet.
Read thru the comments so I went. The ice cream is a vanilla base so the flavors are not strong (like others said). It is premade so the cookie is very hard almost edible for the 1st 30 mins. Coming in at $6 each is a little overpriced and $4.50 is more reasonable. Nothing else in the store to buy
Very good! Also pricy. But you can’t go too wrong putting frosting, jam, and ice cream on cookies.
I absolutely love the strawberry cheesecake. So yummy.
An inventive concept allows for flexible creations, that all seem to work. The Cherry Pie desert, with its vanilla wafer, vanilla-bean ice cream, and delightfully sweet cherry pie topping was excellent and refreshing as a mid-afternoon snack.-NG
