I had a great experience with the Eye Associates of Charleston. Warmly greeted by office staff upon entrance, and a pleasant atmosphere. The tech, Scarlett, performed various pretests, which were comfortably performed and didn’t last long. Very sweet young lady. Dr. Castro was wonderful & thorough with the exam process. Explained each step and expectation throughout the entire process. Dr.Castro has ordered two sets of contact lens trials for me to try, I have no doubt one of them will be a successful fit. Highly recommend the Eye Associates of Charleston for eye exams. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the entire staff, tech, & doctor.

Front of house experience here was unprofessional and generally unpleasant. I called directly as I was unable to book an appointment online. I provided insurance info for the next available exam. On arrival, was told that my insurance was not accepted for some reason and exam price quoted was double the rate in Mount Pleasant. Receptionist was pretty rude and hadnt attempted to call - they did send 4 uninformative texts.

Have always been treated well by this location! My experience yesterday was exceptional! The staff was pleasant, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable! Dr. Castro and Jaci especially! Thanks Guys!

I hadnt been here in 2 years and was thoroughly impressed with the new technology and doctor. She was informative, friendly, and took her time to answer my questions.

My experience was great here. It was my first time going here. The staff is friendly and professional. All of my questions got answered as needed. Only thing I didn’t like is I had one of the ladies put the frames I picked out aside for me for my appt and when I went in for my appt they didn’t have them. I only went there because a coworker told me you can get your glasses in an hour. I unfortunately did not only due to one of my lenses not being on hand, which is understandable. Besides the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, I love the fact that they use a machine now in the place of dilation instead of those drops that burn like crazy.

My first time EVER having contacts. They were friendly, very nice, they showed understanding with each question I asked. I will definitely use them again!! The Dr herself was fabulous!!! The lady that helped me learn how to use the contacts she gave me advice and it helped big time! THANK YOU GUYS!!!

Optimitrist was the first ever to explain everything in great detail about my eyes and the pictures taken of my eyes. She was patient and professional, very impressed by her. The young lady who helped with my glasses was amazing! Honest opinion, professional, and great conversation.

I was very happy with my eye exam. However Im very unhappy with the amount of unnecessary information that Lenscrafter demanded. I filled out info on-line to book my appt., then again had to complete much the same info at Lenscrafters prior to my appointment, including ss#, dob and a photo of my license. Why? For demographics purposes, re marketing. Both a waste of my time and an exposure to id theft. They dont need all that information to exam my eyes.

The atmosphere is great! The manager, assistant and associates were very professional. Their eyes technology and machines are very advanced, the eye doctor explained in details what was recorded on the script. All machines were sanitized before usage. My visit was by appointment. Always a great experience at Dr. Wheelers office. Very professional and informative. Emily was great. Very personable and answered all questions. Getting with a retail tech took a long time but as I was sitting I ordered my contacts online.

Fast intake and the young lady there at reception on Saturday was outstanding, The doctor took her time to explain everything to me step by step I have never had this before and will recommend this office to anyone looking fora eye doctor.

The doc was amazing, the tests were amazing, up to date and the eyeglass selection was great. I looked at just two eyeglasses before I found The Pair oh and everyone (Employees) was super sweet.

Had an appointment and had to wait quite a while. Receptionist doing too many things that even following the exam we had to stand at the counter and wait 10-15 minutes in order to pay and leave. Fee structure has changed and was not explained very well. Only response to questions was simply, we are personalizing the exam and thats what we are supposed to tell people

My exam was awesome! Everyone was soooo nice especially the young lady that did helped me before I saw the doctor. Dr. Wheeler was very nice and helpful. One issue! The associates on the floor were not very helpful. When people come in, they werent greeting them and asking if they needed help. After my exam, I sat for at least 30 minutes and no one said that they would right with me or anything. The customer service can be a little better on the floor.

Optometrist, Dr Mauldin, was very patient and kind. I always enjoy getting my appointments were her. The staff and associates were extremely friendly and eager to help with my selections.

Scarlett was wonderful and very considerate as were battling Covid-19, however there is an unknown name younger african-american female worker who does not possess customer service skills. When we initially arrived we had to wait by security due to the foreseen circumstances. When she came out to get us, she was rude and waived her hand at us as a method of communication in telling us to follow her. I realize that we are all dealing with this pandemic, however a little kindness goes a long way. The other workers were kind and welcoming.

Great visit. Diagnosed a cyst on my eye and explained everything clearly and thoroughly. Recommended some over the counter drops to relieve any itching or discomfort while it resolved itself and a follow up appointment at no additional cost. I like coming here. No fuss and they are efficient and effective.

I scheduled 3 visits for myself and my kids on the same day. The doctor was the worst ever and very rude. I have been doing business with LensCrafters and their optometrists for over 30 years and never had issues. I will never go back to the Northwoods location again. And the cost of the exams were ridiculous even with insurance.

My eye exam was great but the retail customer service representative was not accurate with her information. She asked if I was ready, I walk with her and she realized they’re were a customers ahead of me which she asked me to sit until finished. I waited...5 minutes later, she helping another customer. I was not happy, because my time is limited and valuable. The customer she chose to help became upset and requested for a manager. You could hear her yelling at the manager in the back. After speaking with the manager, she asked if I need help, we go over the plan, I’m very familiar with purchasing glasses since I’ve been there over the last 5 years. I request if I could have them picked up in hour, she say, “yes!” She states to return at 6 (hour later)to pickup with clear, anti flare, anti, scratch, etc...once we learned it was $153, I stated, I’ve only paid tax for my glasses after insurance, she looks back at history of past purchases. She learn it was only plastic without additional anti scratch items. She goes back to stop the process and state I have to pick up glasses in the morning. She state, LensCrafters no longer do 1 hour pickup...but minutes ago you stated I could come back at 6 with additional products. During the time sitting, you can tell she was angry from previous customer and mumbling to herself. If I could read her mind, I would say she was very upset.

I waited 75 minutes past my appointment time, but when I said I was going to reschedule, the doctor got me right in and was wonderful. She was friendly and attentive and very thorough.

Quality care and staff

My entire visit was 3 hours long. No communication on wait time to patient. Then i waited another hour to order my glasses and contacts. Very poor experience.

Friendly staff,One comment - we fill out the form online prior to coming to our appointment yet we have to fill it out again pen & paper style when we come before we can be seen... seems a waste of time for both the customer and the staff.

My appt was for 445 I did not get seen until615 and still wasnt done by 715 so I paid for my glasses and left, but before that the dr said I had 2 wait for her 2 check my dilated eyes i asked her how long will that take because she said she would do it after her next pt because she needed to use that room her response was why...my response was because I have already waited 2 hours and who knows what time u will be finish with that pt... i will not see her again

I told the Dr numerous times there was something wrong with the left lens of machine. All he did was wipe it off and that did not resolve the issue. My prescription is wrong and Im having harder time seeing now than before my visit. I went back in and another Dr is playing with my prescription instead of a new eye exam. I have returned the incorrect contacts and will be going back to Walmart were I have never had an issue.
