Besides Bitty and Beau’s amazing story and mission, the coffee and muffins are also worth a stop! Bitty and Beau’s Coffee employs people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. When we stopped in, the employees provided fast service and made a great latte! Highly recommend dropping by to support their mission!

We love the concept of Bitty and Beau’s Coffee. I love that they’ve created an environment that is supportive to the disabled community. We got the hot chocolate which was OK. The location was nice and clean. There was a long line when we got there and the service was great and really fast.

Was looking for a cup of coffee and the cookie shop down the block sent me to Bitty and Beaus. Greeted with a smile, order was prepared fast and loved the coffee. Will definitely go there again next time I visit Charleston

Always nice to see inclusive businesses! We have to get out and support them because this is what our community needs. Prices are very very reasonable and the chocolate muffin I had deserved a chefs kiss! Merch was also very reasonable in price with excellent quality. If I had a Bitty and Beaus in my town Id go daily! I went 2 of the 3 days I was there visiting.

I loved the concept of the cafe so we drove all the way from Sommerville to have a good cup of coffee. The coffee was made with automatic machine just like the one at the airport lounge. The latte tasted like milk. Althought I am not satisfied with coffee, I am glad I visited there just because of the concept and their vision.

Great atmosphere, & fast service! Love that the owners mission is to bring awareness about her children with Down Syndrome & the workers, as in our special needs community it is SO hard for our children to get jobs. We need more of these opportunities! Love the merchandise!

This place is awesome. The coffee is excellent, but the real stars here are the people. First, huge shout out to the owners for their incredible mission of providing good jobs and training to those with disabilities. Far too many people overlook the amazing talents, drive and passions in anyone with a disability, so good on you for recognizing them! The employees are awesome! They were friendly, efficient, hard-working and dedicated, and we greatly appreciated the service. This was our first and (for now) only time in Charleston, but if we are back some day, we will return to help support this wonderful cause for society!

We had a delightful visit to this wonderful coffee shop!! The staff was SUPER friendly and kind! We loved getting to put pins on the map and check out where other customers were from. Drinks were FANTASTIC! We also love their system for keeping people’s orders tracked, with playing cards!

This is an awesome little cafe that served me fantastic coffee. They have stools that sit at a a counter made from a natural piece of wood. I was able to get some good studying while looking out the picture window. Very good and pleasant staff. We will be back.

As someone who works with children with Developmental Disabilities, I had previously hear of Bitty and Beaus Coffee, but ended up stumbling upon it by chance while visiting Charleston. They did not disappoint! Friendly, welcoming staff took our order and the coffee was great. A must when visiting the area! They also had great apparel that my sister and I gladly picked up while in the shop.

Really they dont have a huge selection. They only have 4 frappes, and for some reason they cant do a white mocha with caramel in it. I ended up getting a chocolate mint frappe that wasnt even drinkable. The place waa very nice and clean looking.

The coffee was excellent, the service was great, and the interior was gorgeous. Most importantly, I love what this place stands for! I am so thankful for places like this!

This is a seriously cool shop in the heart of Charleston. We met the owner, who was kindly teaching her staff to wait on customers, serve coffee, etc. Her mission is to help mentally challenged people have employment. Beyond that, the coffee was good, the service from her help sweet, and we bought a couple of T-shirts with tasteful designs. We loved every bit of it.

More of a novelty shop. Coffee wasn’t anything special but the merchandising was the most exciting thing about this place.

Coffee was a little stiff for me but not bad. Absolutely love their goal in who they hire and would definitely be back here when Im in town.

Fun little coffee shop that has a pretty cool message. The shop is mostly run by people with disabilities and it is very cool to go and help contribute to that cause. Also, the coffee was great, as was the service. Will definitely be adding it to my list of fun coffee shops to go to in downtown Charleston from now on.

To be entirely honest the coffee was only mediocre. An automatic espresso machine was used which takes a lot of the magic of a cafe away. I also felt strange about the branding surrounding the disabled staff. I respect their efforts to include and hire a diverse staff, but my gut feeling was that the workers werent happy and it was as if they were on display. They are people just like us and their existence shouldnt be exploited to make money. Thats how I feel, I could be entirely wrong but that was my gut feeling.

What a wonderful coffee shop! This gets an A+ for flavour, service and aesthetics. We need more of these kind of shops in every community that support an all inclusive attitude! They have also embraced technology with a card or tap pay system only- no cash accepted so just come prepared. Thank you to everyone that greeted us with the biggest smiles. 😀

First time visiting this local coffee shop so I decided to give it a try due to its popularity in the area! I ordered an iced chocolate milano for about $6. I have to say the coffee was really DELICIOUS. The interior design of the place is very neat and I love the creativity in getting a card to keep track of your order. It was a busy day when I came in so I took off one star because tbh it took a really long time just for one coffee with having only about 5-7 orders ahead of me. Other than that, I recommend this local coffee shop!

If you are in the historic district do yourself a favor and stop by. If you leave without a smile on your face then go immediately to the hospital because something is wrong with your heart.

While I totally support the cause and love the idea of supporting those with disabilities, the quality of coffee here is just not up to par. My husband and I got cappuccinos which tasted burnt and watery. Plenty of better places downtown for a really good coffee.

This was the best coffee shop I have ever visited. It was clean, inviting, and the workers were so accommodating and FRIENDLY. Christian was a rockstar at the register and Sam gave us our orders with a big smile on his face. He even came over and gave us a hug! They both talked to us as if we were old friends and were so happy to be working! The joy you feel stepping foot inside will have you coming back again and again. I got the Java Chip Frappe and I was sad when it was gone. My friend got an iced vanilla chai and said it was the best one she has ever had. If you haven’t visited this place, MAKE IT HAPPEN ASAP. The coffee is fresh and flavorful.The customer service is what really puts them in a different category. The staff is unparalleled. They always offer above and beyond service that is guaranteed to brighten your day. They really work hard to make sure you receive everything you’re wanting and that your satisfied. The people are definitely a better pick me up than caffeine could ever be.

We waited in line for 15-20 minutes. there were 2 customers left in line at 5 (when they closed) and kicked us out. we were there before they closed but left empty handed. they also took forever to take customers orders. also, they weren’t friendly when they notified us they weren’t going to take our order.

The greatest little place. I love visiting anytime I can. Even without the beautiful story its a darn good coffee shop. But the experience is certainly made better by the wonderful staff. A must visit if you are in Charleston!

The coffee and service were both fine. Tasty blueberry muffin, cute little shop. Everything was clean. We were asked if our order was for here or to go. We said for here but our coffee was served in disposable cups and the muffin in a paper bag, so I’m unsure why we were asked. Seating isn’t plentiful or comfortable. There also isn’t a public bathroom, so it doesn’t seem like they want people to hang around for a while.
