Booked my one-year maintenance service drove all the way from Beaufort to Charleston to be told that my vehicle had to have 16k miles now. Did they not notice that when I booked my appointment and I told them the mileage. On top of that, its been 1 year. The service department guy name David told my husband they couldnt service my car until August or 16k miles and had the nerve to give him a paper that CLEARLY says 16k miles or ONE YEAR whichever came first. I told him it had been a year and they still refused to do my service. I will stick to Hilton Head.
We bought a new Jaguar from Matt D. today. The experience was pleasant and efficient. Matt was knowledgeable about the car, financing, and patiently answered all of our questions. We felt good about our car purchase and will go back to work with Matt again when we look to make another car purchase.
Somehow when I got booked for annual maintenance they booked me for the wrong month. it was a year after I got the car in December but apparently due to the car having been a loaner for awhile before I got it was supposed to be scheduled for maintenance in April and therefore they declined doing maintenance on the car when i was there.Overhead the manager telling the team member that Jaguar wouldnt pay them for the maintenance so they would only do it if I paid myself.Here is the thing to me. I purchased a product from them and the mistake in the scheduling is clearly between dealer and manufacturer. That has nothing to do with me, so they should have done the maintenance and sorted that out internally. Instead I as the paying client now wasted a few hours of my work day coming in for this appointment and then have to go again later.Basically, that attitude told me enough about Baker Motor to know I wont be getting my next vehicle there. Had had a poor service experience during purchase but was really wanting the car, so opted to look the other way on that.To be fair. The car is generally very good although the Meridian Entertainment system is simply awful. I fear that it will cause me to crash one day when it malfunctions and distracts me while driving.

To have to pay extra to have your tires rotated is a prime example.The Jaguar West Ashley dealerships presentation is pathetic. From the drop off area, to the customer waiting area, to the show room . . . For a dealership selling $50,000 to $100,000 vehicles they should be embarrassed!

I had a loaner car which was great. When I picked up my car after it was kept overnight, the rear view mirror had some type of glue on the mirror surface that I had to use Goo Off to remove. Two days later when I went to the grocery store and popped the trunk to put in bags, the fuse panel cover was off and there was a plastic fuse panel tool just sitting there. It just seemed like no one made sure that all details were taken care of.

This location ran a diagnostic test to discover what was wrong with my Jacquar, then offered a repair that didnt fix the problem; and made me pay for this repair. Then told me they could try fixing something else to see if that is the problem. Really, carte blanche to just keep repairing until you figure it out. What was the diagnostic for; once repaired I had wires left unattached and a motor mount left off. When asked about this, they said I didnt need the wires attached for vehicle operation. Who says that when you didnt properly reattach something you unhooked. I paid the big bill and was just ready to get the keys back to my car before they discovered something else they wanted to fix on my dime.
As usual the service department was ready and waiting when I arrived for my appointment. They took my car into the shop right away and Garret kept me informed throughout the process. It is a pleasure doing business with a quality operation that provides excellent service as well as listening to its customers.

Outstanding service personnel - very courteous and professional. The facility is also very nice and the waiting room well-equipped. However, the wash service was deplorable. My car had to be re-washed 3 times, and that too, the last time the service advisor took it back herself to wash it since it seems the wash crew wasnt doing their job properly. For a luxury brand as Jaguar, there needs to be much better wash/detail service than this. Even after the 3rd time washing it, it still wasnt done right with spots everywhere and was still dirty. This really needs to improve! Outside of that, it was a good service experience.
Chad in the Jaguar service department is awesome! He took such good care of my car. They text you to let you know when its ready which makes it very easy and convenient.

I find their Service Department exceptional. The Service MANAGER, not a Service Advisor, listened to my story and took a personal interest in my issue. Since I was visiting from out of town, he squeezed me into the next days schedule and personally oversaw the work. They completed the adjustments while I waited and sent me back to vacation with a handshake and a smile. This was the second time they went beyond the expected for me. Unfortunately I live 300 miles away. It was worth the drive to buy the car, and might well be worth it for major service.
Chad and the service department get my praise for fixing my car. It took forever, but they worked till they fixed it.

I took my car to Baker Jaguar to have two keys cut, I get the keys cut for the ‘05 Jag, go outside and the key get stuck in the ignition! Then they get it out and now my original key is stuck in the ignition and they tell me I have a bad ignition when my original key was working fine! So! They tell me over $900 bucks to repair! The service dept was very sarcastic telling me in other words that’s the result of buying keys from eBay or amazon, I WILL NEVER take either one of my jags bac to Baker Jaguar! I strongly suggest let a locksmith cut, & program your keys, because these people are so smart, educated with their products until they don’t have enough sense to polish a new key to fit a worn down ignition! The drive to Columbia, or Hilton Head I recommend will be worth the trip, either way it will cost!
Outstanding care and service as I went through the process of buying, then things went south fast! No follow-up call or check to see if the vehicle was what I expected, poor warranty experience and overall noticeable lack of concern about my issues. I repeatedly called about service and also a registration issue with no resolution. I purchased four vehicles from Baker, but will never buy another nor recommend them to others... After you are sold a car, be prepared to be forgotten!
Car was great, got a great deal on car. Was very hard to get someone to call me back. Including a manager. Needless to say, I drove down from Georgia to get car and was very satisfied with car and service at the time. However, I did have a small issue with car and again cant get a manager to call me back. Great car service needs to be looked at.
The service person, Hannah was very pleasant and professional. I was however not pleased with the car being there for a week for a routine maintenance. Additionally, the dealership did not provide either a loaner or even a rental.

In the three years that I have had this leased Jaguar XF I have NEVER had a satisfactory experience with this service department. They have consistently failed in every conceivable way. The first time in they had my XF for 5 days and when I picked it up it was clear that it had sat under trees as the exterior was littered with leaves and twigs. When I got in the car it was clear that while the exterior may have been washed, prior to sitting under the trees, that they did not vacuum the interior. I then inspected the rest of the car and found several scratches on the right rear quarter. Brought this to the attention of the service coordinator who was clearly embarrassed and after waiting another 45 minutes, got the car back cleaned and intact. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. The folly of this Jaguar of West Ashley service department continued with the failure of the service department to do the right thing. It would take paragraphs more to outline further issues and failures of this service department. Never again will I buy a vehicle from any of Baker Motors due to their failure. Oh, one last thing. Every time I ask for the phone number for Tommy Baker, I get the run around, they duck and weave, and never give it to me. So, Tommy, youve got a wall solidly built around you. Perhaps you can get them to build a wall at our southern border.
Purchased a 2018 demo E Pace Jaguar and am totally pleased with the vehicle and the sales Dept was outstanding, professional, courteous, & truthfull. Service was exceptional, listened to my concerns and they willingly handled them. Parts was very knowledgable and also listened to the customer. 5 star dealership & I highly recommend anybody looking for a Jag, Landrover, or Benz go to Jaguar West Asley in Charleston SC., and look up Spencer Becknell, a very articulate person and knowledgable on all the makes & models, he also is 5 Star.

Had Jaguar XJ8 fixed a year ago for driver seat not moving automatically back and forth and wouldnt keep memory set for my seat. I am only 53 so the sear always needs to be adjusted. This was an expensive job and took 5 days to complete and they did give me a loaner car.Had to bring the car back one year and days later as the seat was not automatically adjusting and Baker diagnosed and said it was fixed as they reset it and tested it. However, had to bring car in a week later for same problem I had previously fixed (driver seat would not slide up and back and keep memory) and found out part has gone bad but couldnt get a new one because they dont make the part anymore for my car due to its age. My only problem with this was after Baker had my car for 3 days my car didnt get a complimentary wash.
Brought my baby E-PACE in for its first checkup and oil change. Had an appointment @ 10:00am and got out at 2:00pm. Had my baby for a year now and still have not utilized all of the features in it. When Im in the driveway at home I could access weather forecasts, satellite GPS, internet access and syncing devices. But, when Im out and about and want to find certain places or forecasts or use the internet, no can do. So got with Hannah and made another appt. for the 1st of April. At first I called SiriusXM and they told me ONSTAR handled that issue. After the service, the cell phone will not pair properly so I dont know what the tech did. Hopefully, after my next visit all will be in proper order.

What a rip off. They are slow and have no idea what they are doing. I took my car in for a diagnostic test to see what was wrong. A week and a half later I had to just go get my car after they said they diagnosed and fixed the main problem (a huge safety issue since the car kept losing power). Paid a bunch of $$. 2 days later while out of town the car shut off again (same issue made worse). Now I had to get the car towed and lost a while day while on vacation. The other dealer (Treasure coast jaguar) diagnosed the problem within 2 minutes on the phone and identified the exact source within 10 seconds of receiving the car. Basically the west ashley stealership didnt even read their own report which flagged the issue (I had them send it over to the other dealership for review, and even that they had a hard time doing because they were so disorganized). Anyway, the summary is that they charged me for a software upgrade and the diagnostics and sent me on my way with my family while the car still had a huge safety issue.
Always feel like I am the most important thing they have to do that day. Great service...
Service was up to par! In the future, I will bring my Land Rover Evoque for service here.
Work was done properly and quickly. I did think that the $600/hr labor rate which I was charged was a little over the top though.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I needed a simple coolant level sensor replaced to eliminate the warning light on the dash of my 2008 Jaguar XJ8. The service associate told me theres a $115 diagnostic fee but would be waived if I chose to get the service done. I knew how much the OEM sensor cost and knew how relatively easy it was to access it so I agreed thinking the repair cost would be around $200 between parts and labor. When I was quoted $560 I almost choked on the complimentary dried out, stale cheese danish in the waiting room. I understand owning a Jaguar can get expensive and any dealership service is pricey but this was ridiculous! After I told the service associate it sounded extremely steep for a $100 sensor (max) and was out of my budget I declined the service, he was extremely rude and short with me. To top it all off my checkml engine light was on when the car got back to me. Coincidence? Sabotage? Who knows. Basically I spent $115 for a basic car wash, stale danish, and horrible customer service. If your Jaguar/Land Rover needs service and is out of warranty STEER CLEAR OF WEST ASHLEY JAGUAR & BAKER MOTOR GROUP unless you have money to burn and enjoy being treated like uneducated trash.

Took my 2017 Jaguar XE for a couple of minor recall items @ 8am and was initially told that the car wouldnt be ready until end of the day. Then got a call mid-day from service advisor that they would need to keep the vehicle over night because they were backed up from service work they hadnt finished from prior day. And then (after expressing my displeasure at their having to keep the vehicle for more than 24 hrs) got yet another call later in the afternoon saying that the vehicle would in fact be ready the same day. Either theyre short-staffed or just not working efficiently.
James, Chad and the Service Tech did an Awesome job in diagnosing and resolving the coolant problem with my Jaguar in a timely manner. Thank you for Everything!!!

After having been a member of the Lexus family for over 10 years, I decided to purchase my first Jaguar. My first experience having to receive car repair done to my XF was not what I had expected of Baker Jaguar. I had no choice but to rely on Baker to get my car back up and running correctly because it is the only Jaguar dealership in my city. I left my car to receive the necessary work only to be told a loaner was not and would not be available. I was without my car for 2 days. I received my car back (noticing it had not been test driven based on the mileage) after the second day and drove it a few days only to discover the same problems were still apparent. I called the service person who was very apologetic and was told to bring my car back to Baker Jaguar. I did take my car back and was apologized to a couple more time by the service rep. This time I was told that Baker Jaguar doesnt like when their customers have to return for the same problem and a loaner would be provided to me. I waited about a hour and surprisingly I was given a loaner. I kept the loaner for four days (over the weekend) while my car was being inspected to find the problem. A day before I was called notifying me the issue was resolved, I received a flat tire on the loaner vehicle. I contacted Baker Jaguar to notify them of the flat and was told my service person would contact me in the morning to provide a update on my car. I was contacted the following morning and told my car was ready and provided a recommendation to change my filters as they were dirty ($167.00). I made that purchase upon arriving to retrieve my car (which did not receive the complimentary car wash) I was also told I would have to pay for the flat tire and could only purchase a tire with the same sku as the flat tire. I was not happy about this as that tire was close to $300, it was $297 to be exact. While attempting to locate the tire from another vendor, I was contacted by my sales person who stated his manger had advised him that if I did not have the tire within 24 hours I would be charged $100 a day as the vehicle is a loan vehicle and other persons would need it. I was so frustrated because if my car had been repaired the first time, I more than likely would not have had a flat in the loaner vehicle. I paid the $297 due to no other vendors having the factory tire. I have had my car for over 24 hours and realized my eco feature (which was operational prior to my car being repaired is no longer working. When I paid for the new tire for the loaner vehicle, I was asked to give it a few days to see if the eco feature would become functional as the car was disconnected from the battery during the repair. Im just waiting now to see if it will eventually start working for me because I truly do not want to go back to Baker Jaguar. All in all my service representative was sensitive to my needs and apologized because of my experience but I truly regret switching from Lexus to Jaguar. The service received is truly a big difference and I will absolutely tell all my military coworkers and friends about this horrible experience.
I purchased a 2017 F-type SVR and everthing whent fine. But things went bad when i talked my wife into buying a new Jaguar from Baker Motors in West Ashley. My wife and i picked up her FX-S, when we got it home we notice the car was full of scratches. So i contacted our sales person and returend the car to be fixed. When i brought the car back i went over were the scratches were and i also ask Baker Motors to make sure ther would be no swirl marks on the car when buffing out the scratches (especially it bening a black) and very noticeable. I received a call around 10am the next day, saying the car was done and ready for pick-up. I thought that was fast, but i headed back to Baker Motors to pick it up. When i got there i looked the car over and i could not believe any one in their right mind would say this car was fixed and done. Still had most of the scratches that i pointed out when we droped it off, swirl marks all over one side of the car and rubing compound in the cracks. I was also told that this work would be done by Baker Motors but was sub out to a local shop. I should have know better i own a few classic collector cars and the shop that works on them will take at lease 12 hours or more to detail a vehicle. So after noticeable disappointment when looking over my wife brand new Jaguar. The sales manger came out side to talk to me, he told me to leave the car again . I asked him why, it was not done right the frist time and the car looks worst than it did when i drop it off. I told him i would prefer to bring it to the shop that i have worked knowing it will be done right. So he looked at me for a minute or two !!! and basically his solution was to give me a free tank of gas!!!!! At that point i came a little un-glued.A tank of gas realy come on that the only thing you can offer, keep the $30 all we wanted is the car to be fixed right the frist time, not much to ask when buying a new car.So would i ever buy a car from Baker Motors again, hard to say. But at this point no.
