I took my S/O to an optometrist appointment and figured hey, I also have vision insurance! so I made an appointment while she was in her exam. Making the appointment was effortless thanks to the staff at the front desk, and the appointment I made was barely over a week out! Easy.I came in about twenty minutes early for my appointment and didnt wait 15 of that.Dr. Sikes was immediately cordial and had photos of my retina taken painlessly in the first five minutes. Hes extremely professional, but also courteous and quick. Well both be happy to return!

My yearly visit for an eye exam went very well..the staff behind the reception desk were friendly and very helpful. Dr. Sikes was thorough and explained every facet of his exam of my eyes. Then I had Stephanie help me pick out new glasses, and she was a delight to work with. I am very pleased with Chapel Hill Eyecare!

Friendly staff, Dr. Skies answered all my questions, great selection of glasses and they take insurance. I went from one place and they had a great staff but selection of frames was limited. Went to the next place and they had an awesome selection of frames and great staff but didn’t take insurance. So this place checks all the boxes I am looking for in an eye care provider. Was in and out with exam and frame selection in 30 minutes.

I called Eyecare this morning to see if they fix eye glasses. I am not a customer of there’s so I was not sure. They said yes and so I drop them off not expecting anything would be done today . However I was pleasantly surprised that a young man was able to fix them while I waited. He was fabulous in every way. I know where I’ll getting my next eye exam.

Dr. Sikes is such a great eye doc and is super friendly. His team is very welcoming and always has time for patients, even though its a busy practice. The new retina scan digital images avoid eye dilation, and are a bargain for $39. Wow. Plus they are in your record for comparison over time. Five stars for their customer service too; they adjusted frames I bought elsewhere in the past. I cant imagine going anywhere else! And as a fellow healthcare professional, I have high standards! Thanks again!!

Phil is so nice, humorous, and amazingly patient. He answered all my questions and illustrated every items VERY clearly. I came here late in the evening. He didn’t mind and waited me for almost an hour when everyone went home. I’ll definitely recommend here to all my friends!

First time going there. Everyone was quite professional. They had a neat and clean set up and plenty of appropriate precautions for COVID. They took their time with me, and explained costs, possibilities and plans. The exam was well done and not rushed. It was different than what the machines said my script would be. That shows how thorough they are.They let me try on so many pairs of frames. I asked a million questions and many aren’t regular questions. I say that because I have been wearing glasses for 35 years. I break things easily and need combinations of safety and comfort that is specific to my work, and my chosen activities.I hope that the products I receive will be good quality. I will update the review after I pick up the eventual order. I still have some things to try out to see if they will fit in my work helmet. Overall, this far, and I super impressed. I went to a place down the road and they messed up five times, over the course of a year and I never received an appropriate pair of specs. These folks at Chapel Hill appear to be the utter opposite so far.Thanks to the doc and his staff!

I moved to NC recently and chose Chapel Hill Eyecare on the basis of the stellar reviews which I can now confirm. My appointment was pleasant: the receptionist was polite and lovely, the office airy and clean. Dr. Sikes was friendly, gentle, and extremely patient with my questions. He explained everything thoroughly and in a calm, relaxing manner.I wish there were more doctors like him...and also more lawyers, accountants, mechanics, etc., etc.

This is the second time Dr Sikes has responded immediately to an eye emergency on a weekend. This is why I go to Chapel Hill Eye Care. Their service, expertise, quality and friendliness are unparalleled.

Staff was friendly and professional. Everything was 5-star until the end of my time with them. I wish they had given me a heads up before the appointment that they wanted to use drops to dilate my pupils. I had not arranged for someone else to drive me, and I could not return to work with the predicted 4 hours of near-sighted blurriness that the drops would cause me. The doctor said my only alternative option was spend about $40 for them to take pictures of my eyes instead. What was strange was that when I agreed to that option, the doctor instantly had my pictures handy - I didnt go to a machine or anything. So, they already had the pictures available to them, but they wouldnt use them unless I paid? I could understand paying to use a machine, but if theyve already used it, why the extra cost? Something about putting my medical information behind a paywall rubbed me the wrong way. I have not had something like that happen at any other eye doctor office Ive been to. Everything else in the appointment went smoothly but based on that practice, Im not sure if Ill return.

My appt. was today, during the covid crisis. The office personnel were very pleasant and professional. They came out to my car upon my arrival. In the parking lot, they took my temperature, heart rate, and oxygen saturation. They then asked me some questions and lead me into the office. Just started a CRT treatment for my son with Dr. Sikes a couple weeks ago. The initial fitting exam looks very profession. Dr. Sikes used some machine to measure topography and parameters to order the lens. We had a visit two days ago to pick up lens and learn how to put the contact lens in. Emily was amazing. She was able to teach my 9 year old son to put on and take off lens in 15 minutes. We are still in the process of treatment and hopefully this will work out.

From the moment that I approach the front door everyone was courteous, they were cautious about the covid-19 virus. it was very nice to see diversity in the workplace and I would recommend chapel Hill eye Care, very highly.

Dr Sykes saw me when I thought I was having a strange sensation around my eye and scalp. Turns out he thought the symptoms I described to him sounded like Shingles and he is the reason I went to my Doctor right away that day and was put on a course of anti-viral medications which was huge in keeping the shingles rash from becoming really bad. He is a thoughtful doctor with a great demeanor. Helpful, knowledgeable and professional.
