Nice customer service always helping me choose the best game for me

Do not order anything from this store, it took four weeks just to get a console for a ps4. The associate said it will take 2-3 business days. No did not happen. I recently got the console yesterday and tried to download a game and would not download. Went to the store today and mentioning I just got this two days ago or what not and I ordered this in the store on the 5th. He said I can’t return it based on the policy. Whenever I brought up the manager he said it was him. Then after awhile she was like okay I understand. When it wasn’t even ordered properly and what not. I would recommend you do not order anything from here. The customer service was horrible when I walked in. Not knowledgeable .

Wow amazing how my store got bad reviews…! No wonder… I thought about buying a used game to my son for Xbox, I look online @ GameStop store for a used one for $20 and fraction… so when I was paying at the counter the guy said was $ 54.99 …? I showed my phone for price i found at GameStop and he said do you have anything to match price on your phone??? I was like really..!!!

Convenient location in the Champaign area. Fast and friendly service and the employees are very knowledgeable.

August 2, 2021. about 4:30 pm on a Monday. two girls working the counter. I was refused service for not wearing a mask even though I am have been fully vaccinated since may, and had my vaccination card in my wallet ready to show. the CDC has clearly stated that vaccinated people are no longer required to wear masks. I support peoples right to wear a mask, but I dont have to wear one anymore, and you cant talk down to paying customers like children.

Super friendly staff, nice layout of the store as well. My cashier was new and messed up a discount I had but the store manager came over and fixed it right away. Both the cashier and the manager were very very polite as well

This is a go to place for my teenagers. The crew here is knowledgeable, patience and very good with the kids, and me.. who doesnt know so much. Also we had an issue with a device purchased there and ran into a huge oversight. I appreciate that they understood the miscommunication and took every step to make it right. They showed my kids how a great community business does whats needed to keep its customers. We are customers for life. Thank you Game stop!

The young man working made me feel like I was an inconvenience to him and my nephew was made to leave the store due to his asthma and not being able to breath while wearing a mask. I hope to see this franchise be boycotted for discrimination against people with breathing problems.

The only reason its a three star is because customer support on the phone was super nice. His name was Josh if anyone needs him. This Gamestop store is the reason why I love Gamestop and will fight for Gamestop to stay alive. I have seen this stores ups and downs. I have seen rowdy customers come through and I have seen Gamestop staff take insult after insult. Is the staff perfect? For me yes. They are knowledgeable, helpful, fun, exciting and AUTHENTIC. This store is handled by Gamers for Gamers. They got your back when Gamestop.com is messing up. They got your back period.

I have had several issues with this gamestop in particular. They have sold me junk controllers and broken chargers for the controllers as well as sticky equipment that they had not wiped down before reselling. I paid for a warranty on a ps3 controller and had to swap it out because the joystick was not working properly and the manager at the time told me I was lying and did not purchase the warranty and after several long arguments he finally replaced my controller. Unless you have no other option I dont recommend this specific GameStop.

Store is Tidy with alot of selections from various consoles,....Problem is.... We picked out 3 games from the shelf only to be told they are not available....Saying that their inventory must be off...Ummmm. REALLY???GAMES are stored in another room! Can you say INTERNAL PROBLEMS???Update!!! The games that were not in inventory for $30/40 ... We bought across street at Walmart for $19.99 ea.

Ive worked for the company, I wouldnt recommend it. Go to the independent video game shop Live Action Games in down town champaign instead.

We ordered an arcade 1 up marvel game and when we got it, one of the vase panels was printed upside down. When we asked for a refund, they said they could give us 5$ off our next purchase. They are now making us take it apart and send it back, when the game itself is in perfect condition.

To be honest I dont shop for video games very often but this particular store is one I frequent when I do. They have a great used game selection and I managed to find an older Silent Hill for the PS3 that I was specifically looking for. I only knock off one star for the clerk continuously trying to upsell me stuff that I had already said I was not interested in. Otherwise good experience.

The guys there are pretty nice and good at conversation. I’ve been there a few times for different things ranging from a new game, a new xbox, as well as a new headset. Their selection is good and it is organized pretty nicely. I’ve been going to gamestop as a kid so it is nice to have one out here near school. I only had one weird instance that was a bit weird when I was buying a game for myself and the sales member insinuated that I was buying the game for someone else (male) and was pretty surprised when I told him it was for me, then proceeded to tell me it was a difficult game. I don’t think he meant any harm, however, I was caught a bit off guard.

Great experience new games for fair prices

Great service. I went in to just look around. Then I asked if they had a couple items I was interested in. One thing they went and got for me and the other item they didnt have in stock but they ordered one from another store. Then the person checking me out asked if I saw a pop figure they had in stock, but I didnt see it so he got it for me. That really worked out because I was interested in it but didnt think to ask if they had one, plus it was limited edition so I probably wouldnt have another chance. Finally we pre-ordered two figures online that come out next month

Knowledgeable service. I go in knowing what type of game my son usually plays, and they can recommend 4 more he will like. Theyve always been right.

Great customer service! (At least from the guy I dealt with. I wish I had noted his name). I bought an Xbox One X the day it came out and the controller had issues right out of the box. He was willing to swap it for a brand new one so I wouldnt have to deal with shipping it back to Microsoft and potentially waiting weeks to play my new console. It really made a negative situation more positive.

Gamestop Will Not Pay Quarantined Staff despite staying open on lockdowns. Cooperates will take a weeks off while employees will have to work.

Great location however the employees dont always know about the sales going on in their store. It appears corporate doesnt do a good job of communicating to the staff. The staff was very nice though as they spent 15-20 mins calling other stores to figure out how to ring up a sale.

In a few words, Atley, Marcus and Patrick! The mgr and Asst mgr set perfect examples for their staff. They work hard to please their customers. They are always enthusiastic, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They dont assume that youre not a true gamer just because you dont look like one. Thats VERY important. ANYONE would feel comfortable in this store. And they offer many perks for their PowerUp members.

I like game stop. I bought a lot of games in game stop. But not this time, selling skill should be honest. A lot of people hate math, but as a business owner of me, I am very sensitive about the numbers. Be careful people! And remind everyone there is another game stop you can go in the mall. I put this lie on the hand of Jehovah, see he punish you or not. Not too much just about $10 but It enough to buy people honesty.

Staff is very friendly. I go in there at least four times a month. Sometimes I stick around for a bit to banter with them some after Ive purchased if its a slow day for them. They all have great personalities and I would recommend this branch of Gamestop to anyone.

There used to be three gamestop locations in the area. It was a great experience going into any one of them. Now that we are down to only one location the dynamics have changed completely. Gamestop in general is trying to branch out of just selling games and i understand that the employees are increasingly over stretched and overworked as a result. This is no excuse for the employees to be rude and have an attitude with customers. Ive noticed the employees of this location, and the manager, Mitch, specifically, act like the customers owe them a favor for being there. They know they sre the only game(stop) in town so they can afford to be rude and hostile. Ive noticed this downward trend months ago once the mall location closed. The incident that caused me to write this review happened 10 days ago. A particular game went on sale while i was out of town. I used the store app to put the game on hold but that only holds it for 24 hrs. I called and spoke with Mitch on Monday and he assured me that he will hold it till thursday. I am a frequent buyer and good customer and am a member of all their programs such as pro gamer and hsd elite status (elite program got canceled recently). I ended up coming in Wednesday and asked Mitch for the game. He said sorry we sold it. He suggested he order me one online for the same price. sure, no problem. When it came time to pay he wanted $10 more. He said it was for shipping. well, thats not the same price. It wasnt worth arguing with him because he inmediately took an attitude. I walked out and ordered the game from eBay (new) for much cheaper than the one i was going to buy from gamestop. that was the last time i go into Gamestop and you should reconsider going in there too.

Its gamestop, didnt have said system I wanted in stock, even though online it said they had it. If you want a better price on used games and usually faster and more knowledgeable service, I would reccomend you go check out Disc Replay nearby, next to Target.

I mean... Its GameStop. They sell the games you want but yes your heard them right your never opened Xbox one is definitely only worth $26 ($26.83 with in store credit)

Gamestop is on the verge of collapse and it is clear as to why - customer service - manager was unreasonable and unwilling to help assist with a trade in. EBay, Amazon or any other game/console trading service will not only give you more money for your devices but will be less of a pain in the ass to deal with. Their diagnostic test to determine functionality is based solely on their eyes and their ears. Try taking your iPhone into an apple store and them telling you your phone is defectivAbsolutely a qualitative analysis. Absolutely absurd. Avoid avoid avoid.

This shop has a wide variety of games and other items. The staff were attentive and made sure that I could find what I was looking for.

Staff was friendly, but incompetent. I went in with the intentions of trading in my PS4 and games for a Nintendo Switch. I was told I needed the included HDMI cable and Micro-USB(granted, that is no fault of the employees), so I drove home, picked them up, and drove back, only to have them plug my PS4 in and display an error message. After rebooting the PS4 and getting the same error, the two staff members said there was nothing they could do and Id have to fix it on my own. I went home, and after an internet search and some troubleshooting of my own (that went into greater depth than just restarting the console), I discovered the solution to my problem: hold the power button down for 7 seconds to allow it to boot in safe mode and reinitialize it from there. Im baffled that none of the staff had any familiarization so as to fix that problem on the spot. Unfortunately for the business, I wont be returning there to sell any of my items, because another business in town (that starts with DISC) will give me more money in cash than Gamestop offered me in store-credit...

Employees help you find anything you need and if they dont have it they order it for you and ship it to your address for you! Great service!

Bought the game in store Watch Dog last 9-26-15 for $29.99 the next day i found out walmart price is only $19.99. store refused to be return coz its open and dont want to give even a discount. Call customer service for complain still no response until now. TOTAL RIP OFF. I will never buy again in gamestop. Very very very poor customer service........
