This store was located on Neil St but recently moved to this address. You will see see cooperative and nice faces welcoming you and ready to assist you if you are looking for something. They are good business for your appliances or parts in the town.
Bought washer and dryer combo back in July, to be delivered in early August. After the fifth delay of delivery by Sears, I asked for my refund and they had audacity to ask me to buy a different one haha.. Its been 2 weeks since I asked for a refund and refund still hasnt come,.. No wonder Sears went bankrupt. Worst customer service Ive experienced ever.
Ever since I was a kid, my family always shopped Sears for appliances. Something I just learned was they have a rent to own type of program . Way to go, Sears. Keep providing service and value
Customer service is friendly, helped my husband load our new refrigerator into our trailer. Great service!
It is no wonder Sears is on its way out of business. They have terrible customer service. I bought a stove from there because I was told that the installation fee was only $81 and take away of old appliance/delivery was $15. They delivered and couldnt install due to electrical issues that day. I got an electrician to come that day and he took care of that. My husband installed the stove. They now tell me the installation fee was a delivery fee and they cant come back for a week to get the old stove! I now have a stove sitting in my entryway and paid an outrageous fee for delivery.. DO NOT SHOP AT SEARS. They wouldnt even work with me on splitting the installation fee in half or refunding any portion and it was them that couldnt install. My husband even carried it in from the garage!***********************The District Manager, Mr. McDowell read my review and addressed the problem with a refund of the delivery/installation fee as well as the disposal of the old stove fee. I do appreciate the kind and considerate customer service that I thought was lacking in the store manager. He also said he addressed the issue with those involved at the local store level. Thank you.
If you expect installation of your appliances, especially after you have been told that you paid for haul away, and installation on top of delivery- DO NOT buy your appliances here! They do not currently even have any installers. I NEVER would have purchased kitchen appliances here, had the salesperson been honest.
I have visited the Champaign store today and met a very nice lady. she was very helpful and professional. I recommend people to visit the store for any appliances need .
Surprisingly large selection. If they dont have it they will order it. Had a chain saw ordered, fast, friendly service. They seem like they actually want to help customers here.
They are no responsables with the garantie and play with you. Bad customer service.
I showed up at 9:17 am on a Monday and the front door was locked and nobody was to be seen inside. I went back around 10 and the extremely rude lady working there yelled at me from the far back of the store “what do you want!” I was extremely offended that she spoke to me like that as it clearly was because I am a white male. This shouldn’t go unpunished if this company has any spine left. I immediately walked out and will never go back.
Surprise large inventory tools other things.
Lowes had a better selection of Craftsman tools and a MUCH easier policy on handling their Lifetime Warranty
I had an awesome experience with the the sales personal. I am thoroughly happy with my purchases. I highly recommend and I will be back to purchase a lawn mower in the near future.
Excellence customer service. These guys will go above and beyond to keep customers happy. I love my new kitchen and they made the process easy.
IIm very unsatisfied with the customer provide by the manager of this location, please people I would suggest to think twice before get here.
I recently purchased a garden hose from sears hometown. the price was great and Carla was very helpful. I will definitely shop here in the future and I recommend this store to everyone.
I purchased a freezer from a nice lady at the store in champaign, she is extremely, nice and professional. I will always shop at sears as i have in the past. it is sad to see some store closing. i hope my local stays open. thank you
Well organized, the staffs very friendly and helpful too . I loved to shop at sears home townThanks
Nice place
I found exactly what I was looking for at a amazing low price!
It is always a pleasure to do my business with Mohammed at Sears Hometown Store. Very friendly and willing to help with all my questions and my concerns.
Great service...the staff there found everything I needed quickly
I visited sears hometown in champaign a week ago, i was greeted by a nice lady who patiently explained the differences between washers . i ended buying one . Thank you for having good sales people around
I was pleased with my experience at this store. Both gentlemen I worked with were knowledgeable and helpful. My dryer and range were delivered two days later right on time.
Most friendly customer service Ive ever received by far! Great job guys!
Fantastic customer service, very helpful and easy to talk to, got things done quick and painless!
Horrible! If I could give them less than 1 star I would. I wanted to give them business instead of going to Home Depot or Lowes but will never make that mistake again. Talked with 2 different employees, one was extremely rude and on his phone half the time like he was too busy to talk to me even though I was the only person in the store, the other was incompetent. I also arranged for delivery this past Friday, they didnt show up. When they finally called back I asked them if they could hold for a second while I checked something, they hung up on me and never called back. Overall experience was terrible and I will NEVER shop here again!
The store in champaign looks clean and organized. the sales crew are very professional and nice.
Store was great, loved how clean it was and how friendly the staff is. Will definitely be returning
I have a lease with Sears Hometown in Champaign, IL. A washer and a dryer at first got approved for 2000 credit with affordable payments then went back and gota dishwasher and a microwave no problem with the Why Not Lease it no credit required. The staff was always courteous and ready and willing to help and even suggested for their customers experiences which appliance is easier and more cost effective to maintain. For my home or business I will always recommend Sears Hometown store in Champaign, Il.
I bought tools today and the lady who helped is very friendly and professional. the store looks nice and quiet
The washer and dryer works great and the the sales people who helped me are great.
This store has very bad service attitudes and are not willing to work with customers. They do have competitive prices, but do not match Sears deal or promotions. I didnt even get my points.I had done research online for one appliance, however I had to go in store to complete my purchase. Sears Hometown is closest to me, so I went in figuring I wouldnt get all the same discounts I found online but comparable. What I got... The first visit I was told that they wouldnt give me and discounts and actually would cost me approximatey an extra $150, on top of no discounts, to get the same appliance and service. I was told the reason was because they were privately owned. When I expressed interest in going to an actual Sears, the sales lady exaggerated the cost of going to another store. Then when I corrected her calculations she got insulted and rude. I tried to be polite and express that I would investigate my other options first and try to get a better deal than they could offer. After research and consideration, I found my best solution was to just get the appliance at no discount and for go the extra cost of services. I went back to Sears hometown and was greeted by a man who immediately said he knew who I was and condescendingly told me You didnt want it, you left! He gloated about how I had to come back. He turned out to be the manager. I confirmed that I had left and looked at different options and that due to my budget I worked out to get less to manage the costs of doing business at his store. After figuring out that I had cut out all the extra costs, he then tried to sell me the floor model at full cost, which is usually discounted because its manhandled, and more services. Then when I said no he expressed how I wasnt making good decisions, and reluctantly sold me the new appliance. The only good part of this experience was the timely manner of getting the appliance to the store and then they were nice enough to use their lift to put the appliance on the truck I was using for pick up.I would not recommend doing regular business with this store. I got the accessories I needed for my appliance at a different store all together, even though they were similar prices.
Do not recommend shopping here. I love to shop local, but I am tired of the incompetence of one member of the sales staff working at sears homestore after two separate transactions. After being willing to spend extra buying from the homestore versus online, my expectations are that of mistrust and disappointment and now I am saddened to spend my money out of town.
The sears hometown store in champaign is a place people should shop. they opened while everybody is closed to help customers who are in a dire need. thank you for being around
The part time staff are very helpful, but the store is only as good as its leadership.
Very limited selection of tool in this store. Had cash with me for a Christmas purchase. Was told We dont have any ones and the bank is closed. 4 days before Christmas and they cant make change. Sears is now an Online store only for me.
Store looked great and customer service was excellent. I will be a lifelong Sears shopper!
Do yourself a favor and just go to Home Depot and dont let the employees at Sears waste your time. Sears there IS a reason you are going out of business slowly. Its the way your employees treat your customers.
I just had a very poor customer service experience with whom I believe was the store manager. I went there yesterday looking for a belt for my riding lawnmower. I did not have aprt number for the belt but I did have the model number for the mower. The man looked up the model number and located a belt, whicj I purchased. Today I went to install the new belt, while removing the old I noticed the belts were 2 different lengths. I went to tje internet and found that Sears parts look up site. I used the site to locate the belt and part mumber i needed. I then proceeded to call the sears store, which is 45 mins. away, to ask if they carried the part number I was looking for. The man I spoke to, who was the same man who sold me the wrong belt yesterday, was very short with me and refused to let me tell him the part number I was looking for or look to see if they had it. So I drove the 45 min. Drive walked in found that they did have the correct belt. I did not purchase the correct belt, I returned the incorrect belt and I will go somewhere else to buy the correct belt. As long as this guys works at this sears I will no longer shop there nor recommend anyone else shop there.
I bought a blower a year ago and it stopped working, i called the store in champaign to get it fixed, the lady who answered the phone was very helpful and knowledgeable. thank you for having sears around.
I just called them to see if they had a v-belt for my craftsman mower in stock and the woman that I talked to told me they had two in stock.I ask her to hold one for me until Saturday and she said that she couldnt hold one that long and that I would need to pick it up today because she could only hold it until the close of business on that day. Really! this is Thursday, they couldnt hold it two days! Are really that afraid of losing a $35.00 dollar sale. Very poor customer service, its no wonder they are about to go bankrupt.
Love..love..love this store and the leasing program!!!
They mean well but I dont know if they can survive with Sears going in the direction that its going
Very knowledgeable staff great service
I visited the champaign store, people are friendly despite not many craftsman items. i hope sears stays longer
Great sales associates, very helpful!
Extremely dishonest company. I sent my TV in for a repair (it was under Sears warranty), nobody knows where the TV is.
Friendly staff but little to no selections
Closed on Sunday, really?
Good people
This place is a joke
