Paid for a refrigerator on July 2. As of today October 25 it’s still not in. Was told when we bought it.. it’s on back order until September. Cool No biggee. Now it’s been 115 days/16 weeks. Terrible. We have bought multiple appliances here. We will think hard about spending anymore money if they don’t make this right asap.
Exceptional Service! Streamlined ordering on site and user friendly. Shaun and Kyle were both professional and courteous. Item was delivered within one week as promised and in new condition. I received texts and emails with delivery notice and updates of arrival time. All paperwork was provided in a printable format. The delivery men were also professional and courteous. Again, Exceptional Service from beginning to end!
Excellent service! Answered all of my questions and gave me a great deal. I will be going back next time I need appliances.
April of last year we bought 4 kitchen appliances from a very nice sales person. The appliances were delivered and installed. The dishwasher didnt work the next day so they sent a repair man to fix it. However, they did not properly install the handle on the freezer and they would not fox it without charging us because its not covered by our warranty. Them the microwave stopped heating. They came to check it out, ordered parts and came to fix it but OT still wouldnt work. They took it to the shop saying they would bring it back when it was fixed. Today they called to say due to the extensive repair needed they were offering to swap it out for a new one but we have to pay delivery and installation of $165.00 because the warranty doesnt cover those things. The gal refused to reduce or waive those fees. Its not our fault that the microwave failed. They will gladly take your money but wont treat you fairly after the sale. Do not shop there.
Jeff was very efficient, knowledgeable and competent. We were able to purchase 2 appliances in short time. He helped us to arrange delivery the next day. Thank you
The warranty they offer is worthless as a repair appointment takes over a month to schedule and they charge a $75 call no matter what. The day of the appointment I was quoted a time that I agreed to. I was then requoted a different time that did not work due to already scheduling around the initial time. They told me I was to block off a full day for them to come do this minor repair and then wanted to reschedule me another month later! warranty is only as good as service!
Dylan is THE MAN! Bought a washer & dryer, dryer was badly damaged before delivery and Dylan called and gave me options of what I wanted to do. I opted to wait and it was totally worth it, and I appreciated the hobesty. Two weeks later, our fridge/freezer completely died. We went in to the showroom, met with Dylan again and he was able to get us a fridge we really liked delivered NEXT DAY. Great customer service from everyone all around as well, no pressure to spend more than youre comfortable but they definitely take care of you. Cant recommend DVD enough!
We used the website to narrow down the options, then came to the store to make our final selections. Staff was friendly and helpful, but not pushy. We will have to wait a couple of months for our new appliances because of supply chain problems, but that is not the stores fault. We live about 40 miles away, and both the delivery fee and the fee for hauling away the old appliances are reasonable. Thank you!
Shopping for appliances has there always been great. Good selection, knowledgeable sales people, fair prices - 5 stars. However service is 0 to 1 stars. Our 5 year old refrigerator would no longer keep temps under 50 degrees so filled out the online form for service on a Saturday morning. We were contacted by phone in about 3 hours which is good, especially on a Saturday - but I would have to wait 2 weeks for service!!!!! We were lucky to have a spare old fridge in our garage or guess we would have been buying a new one. Thanks to google and youtube I was able to determine the problem and a solution and it now seems to be working. Will be buying our next appliance from a place that can also service them.
I worked with Jim and his customer service was superior. Very knowledgeable and kind. Looking forward to getting our washer and dryer delivered!
Brandy was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We were able to find the right washer for us, which happened to be on sale and included the 5/10 year warranty. They also had availability for delivery next week. We will definitely shop here again and recommend this place to others. This is the second washer we have purchases here.
Had a great experience purchasing a washer dryer set. Lots to choose from both front and top loaders. Jim worked with me on all the considerations important to *me*. He was extremely knowledgeable, easy going, and not pushy in the least. He wasn’t trying to just sell me on the most expensive model either. Couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. If all goes well with delivery and their warranty/service plan, they will have earned a lifetime customer as long as we’re in the area. Thanks, Jim!!
Sales person was very informative and dod not pressure to make sale.
Couldn’t have asked for better customer service. Mike is a top notch sales person. I highly recommend working with him!
I cant remember the gentlemans name right now but he was the very helpful in helping me decide on what what I wanted in washer and dryer
I had used them in the past and really not sure why I didn’t go back the next time I needed appliances but I had a guy named Mike and he was amazing!! He answered all my questions and I feel like he gave me his honest opinion on what was best for me, I will be using them in the future and would recommend.
I tried typing out my whole experience on here but I exceeded my limit so I will have to make this incredibly brief although this company has been one of the biggest headaches in my life for the past 2 years. Long story short my Speed Queen washer and dryer are both defective products which have damaged well over $500 in clothing along with a $70 coin laundry bill. Was never allowed to speak with a supervisor, never given any type of compensation or even apology but made to feel like a pain because I keep calling to see when my dryer will be fixed (have now been waiting over 2 months). I have never been treated so poorly by a company in my life. I will NEVER support this company again! For the longer version feel free to look up my report on the BBB.
Yes! The staff person, Jeffrey, did a very good job answering all my questions and helped me make the decision to buy the Electrolux front loading clothes washer.
Billy was our salesman and was the best.Would have other people ask for Billy.
They were great as far as buying. I live 2 hours from them and thought we had an agreement that if there was a warranty they would work with me on parts. Not the case. They know I am in the trade when the hand shake was made. Guess Ill go tothe big box stores
I would give Zero stars if I could! Service is horrible! I have been without an oven for 4 months. Every time we have to call and check to see when the part will be in and then they tell us its here and then make us wait two weeks for service. They have been out four times and the oven still isnt fixed! They obviously do NOT know what the HE*I they are doing! STAY AWAY! GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!! Was once a very happy customer but have also been dealing with a dishwasher that doesnt work in this time-frame too and been getting the same runaround.
Billy was honest, he let me know the refrigerator I was looking at was not available for a few months, he helped me find a similar refrigerator and did not pressure me to purchase. When I called back to purchase, he handled the transaction quickly. He was courteous and helpful. Thanks Billy!
Bought a brand new GE refrigerator. In the first week, Ice maker stopped working, freezer door was bent on delivery and not sealing. Parts ordered in May, won’t be in until end of July. In the mean time fan or motor sounds like an airplane at times in my kitchen. I called service and was told It wasn’t worth them coming out for a separate trip until parts come in!! Asked for a supervisor but standard answer, in meetings. Felt totally disrespected. You would think that customer service would still be valued, maybe not.
I scheduled an appointment to have my dishwasher fixed and had to wait a week for service. An hour and a half before the appointment, they cancelled due to a shortage in technicians and wanted to rescheduled another week out. Even though I explained I took the morning off work and had to cancel a meeting, they would not accommodate the appointment in a timely manner.
They are very helpful and good to work with when you need something.
I ordered my fridge in July, 2 weeks ago at no fault of theirs it still hadnt come in. We agreed that I would take the floor model because I need a new one bad! So the guy scheduled delivery for today( 2 weeks later). So I called to see what time only to get told it wasnt scheduled until the 20th! Smh.
Billy has been great in all 3 of our visits. He pointed out appliances that were exactly what we were looking for.
It looks like this board is monitored regularly so I will post while my saga is still in progress. My dishwasher, which is under the DVD 5-year warranty, stopped working in mid-January. A technician came out on January 28 and concluded that the problem was a dirty drain. He charged me the $59 visit fee (not a warranty issue) and told me to run cleaner through it a few times and call him directly if the problem wasnt resolved. I did as instructed and the problem definitely wasnt resolved so I called him back. He apologized, said the problem was likely the motor and that he would order it (2-5 business days) and refund the visit fee. After more than 5 business days and no response from the technician (despite multiple texts), I called the office. They had no record of the part being ordered and seemed to be unable to even contact the technician. Another technician came out on February 17 and immediately diagnosed the problem as a broken wash motor. Now (February 25) the part is at DVD but the earliest they can install it is March 10. The scheduler was courteous but unable to find any way to get the repair done sooner. I realize that there are finite resources, but it just seems that DVD would be willing to shuffle their schedule to accommodate a long delay that was largely their responsibility. Except for the first technician, everyone at DVD has been helpful, it just seems like they are locked into a busy service schedule that cant be adjusted for unusual circumstance.Update: We now have the service scheduled for March 1. I appreciate the proactive effort to address the concern.
Billy offered awesome customer service and knowledge on the appliances we were shopping for. The entire staff was top par. We chose a locally owned business instead of a big box store and our experience was well worth it. We will be shopping there in the future.
After calling DVD for a service call on our refrigerator our nightmare began. This was two months ago, and within that time we have had to babysit DVD through the entire process. First we wait two weeks for a technician to come out. Why werent we told that you only have TWO TECHNICIANS FOR YOUR ENTIRE CHAMPAIGN AREA!!??? So we wait, technician shows up and we are VERY SPECIFIC about what is going on with the refrigerator. He diagnosed what apparently he thought was the problem. Looking back I should have known this technician was inept when he told me it was normal for a head of lettuce to freeze in the crisper drawer due to its high water content??? How many of you think its ok for your lettuce to freeze in your crisper drawer? So the day after the technician leaves my husband called DVD to ok the repair and the ordering of the parts. Two weeks later....no word.. called...no parts were ever ordered??? Ok, order them!!!! Two weeks later, parts are in, ok come on lets get this fixed, Ive been without a fridge for over a month now. Ok, tech comes out, stay tuned, it gets much much worse.
Our dryer died. We needed a new one ASAP. Michael Dal Pozzo helped us order a new dryer and washer. Originally, we opted for a Maytag, which DVD did not have in stock. In no time at all, Michael Dal Pozzo helped us identify equivalent GE substitutes, which we ordered. As I kept looking at washers and dryers, I finally stumbled onto the Speed Queen washer and dryer, which I had missed earlier. When I asked Michael if we could change our order, he did so without hesitation, He also confirmed our thinking that Speed Queen was the best washer and dryer one could buy, and even shared the experiences of some of his family members.DVD had only the dryer in stock, which was delivered within two days of ordering. Wow, what a great looking dryer. Unfortunately, the painting on the top of the dryer was defective. I emailed Michael, and he told us that a new replacement would be delivered within three days. That same day, Angel called to set up a delivery date. Many years ago, we bought our Thermador kitchen appliances from DVD.That service was also good, although we definitely would characterize DVDs service on the dryer as exceptional, and even more than exceptional, whatever that term might be.My wife and I endorse DVD in the strongest possible terms.Jim Kuklinski (and Nancy Parker)
We wanted to purchase appliances locally, instead of a big box store. Went to DVD and we were helped quickly by Mike R. He was easy to work with & explained all the appliances to us. We would highly recommend purchasing appliances from DVD! Thank you Mike R. & DVD for making our first major appliance purchase an easy one!
My friend went to your store to pick out a refrigerator I could afford. The salesman was very helpful according to my friend.
I just bought 3 pieces of appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, and combo of wall oven/microwave) from this store. I am impressed by the work the professional team has done. The entire process, from selecting models, placing orders, to delivering, installing, and hauling away appliances, everything went through smoothly and efficiently. Especially, Dylan Dunlap, who is our sales consultant, has done a great job. He is energetic, enthusiasm, and has extended knowledge to help customers. I cant say enough good things about him. I strongly recommend Dylan Dunlap and this store if you need to purchase appliances.
If I could I would give them negative stars I would. This is the the worst appliance store ever. I will be telling people not to go to this store. They brought me a refrigerator that was making a noise & want me to pay to have them come to look at it and fixed it. I called & called & called & never talked to a manager. Then I took the appliance back & still never talked to a manager. Now they r charging me a restocking fee for something they cant put back on the self & sell and the icing on the cake they r charging me a restocking fee on the delivery fee. So now u r telling me that I had the refrigerator making noise for a week & half and as soon as I dropped it off the noise stop. Plus I never talk to you & never called back but the first day after you drop if off & ask how was the noise. We told u it was still making & never offered to fix it. Plus I never talk to a manager. Plus u wanted me to wait 2 wks for u to come look at it.
I am not pleased with the store in Champaign. We scheduled our repair and at the last minute today they called and canceled on us making me lose one day of work. When I called asked to speak to the manager about the situation I was basically told I was out of luck because they just didn’t have the technicians that day.I was offered no sympathy no reprieve no solution to the problem other than scheduling it one month out from the day that I scheduled the original appointment which is not acceptable.
I usually get all of my appliances from there. The men that delivered my refrigerator took off my front door and dropped it and broke a piece off of my bar. They were so lazy they did a horrible job ripping the plastic off. I needed a new waterline and they didn’t it replace it, now I had to turn the water and the icemaker off. And the worst thing of all is I have a photo of them installing my refrigerator and a picture of the dent they put in it!It’s only been a week and I definitely regret it!: UPDATE: Rachel reached out after my review and felt horrible about my experience. They wanted to make me happy and they did! They address all of the above complaints. Wow. Thank you Rachel and team 😃
Ordered all new Kitchen appliances. Our microwave and dishwasher were delivered and installed and couldn’t be happier. Only downside is the fridge and stove have still been out of stock since September 2020 so I just cancelled the order . This is on the manufacture not on them. Working with Mike has been nice. He will be refunding my money for the items I still haven’t received as they are anticipating whirlpool to get the ones I ordered back in stock at the end of the year. Once they come back in stock I will order them.
I would give them zero stars if I could. We were misled initially by the salesperson about features of the washer we bought, which we didnt discover until after the 30 day return window. Of course, all they can give is an apology at that point, even though they admitted responsibility. Also, the installer didnt tighten the drain hose properly, causing our utility room to flood on the very first use! They asked us to fix their mistake, which we refused. Finally took calling their emergency number to have them out to fix it. Then, the detergent dispenser got clogged up because we were using it the way we were told we could by everyone at DVD. Turns out that wasnt the case. Yet, the tech was incredibly rude to my wife and management was a joke when we asked for a solution. We will never shop there again. Terrible customer service, dishonest people, and a poor product. SHOP ELSEWHERE!
Salesman was extremely knowledgeable. Price was comparable. Well see if the unit lasts.
The service was very professional and good customer service skills I was very impressed
Outstanding customer service. Prices were fair.My 80 year old neighbor was having trouble with her stove. We can to buy the part needed. They checked and found it to be under warranty. So, they scheduled a tech to come out and replace it for her Very cool!
Billy was a great advocate. He was patient with my multiple switches last min. He even called a couple of hours later to confirm delivery. I am also a fan of the 5 and 10 year warranty. That is worth the extra price that is probably built into the overall price.Had Billy again for a new washer and dryer. He is super knowledgeable and friendly once Again.
Great customer service and salesman was very helpful in Assisting the purchase of a new refrigerator. Delivery guys were careful in the removal and install of new refrigerator. I highly recommend Duck Van Dyke Appliance World for appaianxe purchases.
Dylan is exceptional at customer service and always willing to help! Great communication regarding delivery, as well. Highly recommend!
First time buying appliances here. Place was very clean. Salesman was knowledgeable and very helpful.
Very disappointed at this point. Spent thousands of dollars a couple of months ago on new appliances. Microwave/convection oven already quit. Two weeks for service to come look, a week for the part to come in, and now two more weeks before they can even get back to fix it. At this point, the best they are offering is We have you on the schedule. Nothing else we can do. Not an offer to replace a brand new unit that quit. Not a spare to use for the time we are down. Wont return the broken unit. NOTHING.UPDATE: Another week gone by and another week with empty “resolutions” and no microwave. Do not buy from Mike Roberts in sales. He will not back what he sells. Will blame customer service. Customer service has done nothing but given me an 800 number directly to GE and told me to contact them. Unreal.
Very friendly and responsive. Bought a dishwasher a few years back and installed in timely manner. Just ordered a fridge and were able to deliver within a couple days.
I asked about service workers wearing masks inside the home seeing nothing on the website. They stated well if they cant stay six feet away. They arrived without them but turned back when they saw the sign I made for the door, mask up.Every other seller of fridges in town has a detailed account of how they enter homes and what they do in house to protect their workers. The guy said we needed a $300 part bit there was no guarantee that would work as it was 7 years old. And would take a week or so. We paid the $60 service call. Then did what I should have done a week earlier - I called the manufacturers. After a short chat, I turned the power off for a 1/2 an hour. Its been working fine.We used the service for decades. We did not buy from them as we were gifted elsewhere. I relayed this review to them first, twice, but got no response. I hope to see changes on the website before we need to buy a new appliances. And will monitor reviews. They were always golden in the past. I hope this was a temporary lapse.(Amazon got a 55 quart RV freezer to my door in 48 hours. It was a lifesaver. In case you have to wait, and just filled the fridge.)
Weve used DVD recently in the past for whole new set of kitchen appliances, plus now for a new washer. We went with DVD for the warranty they offer for their appliances vs. big box store warranties, despite maybe paying a few extra hundred bucks. We are satisfied knowing items are covered and they will be out quickly to look at/repair items if needed.
Sure they have great washers and their sales staff is very eager to make a sale for some commission. I bought a washer from them less than 2 years ago. The boot seal on the front loader of it for some reason formed a tare in it, and would leak slightly when running a big load, but I just figured I could deal with it even though my warranty was still valid. Finally, after my soap dispenser had a problem being loose, I decided to make an appointment for a tech to come look at it. I also told the person on the phone exactly what the problem was and to have technician bring seal part with him when he came. I believe I had to set one up for 2 weeks after I called. Ok, sure. Then I almost forgot about my appointment and the tech called me while I was working one day and missed his call and hour before his arrival time. I called him back almost instantly to get his voicemail. Called 10 minutes later, same response. Called the store, they said he would contact me. 2 days later no response. Called again. Made another appointment for a week from then. 2 guys show up, one was training the other. Very nice guys and said my parts are under warranty and that they had to order them then theyd be in contact to replace. That was about a month ago.Ran my washer on clean washer mode yesterday and water started spewing everywhere. Called them back today, service department says she cant get ahold of parts department and that she left them a message to get get back with me. 2 hours later I call parts department and I was forced to leave a voicemail. 2 hours later no call back so I call again. This time someone picked up. They had received my soap dispenser part, but not my boot seal. Guy tells me that they were on back order from manufacturer, but found and ordered from another company and it should arrive Thursday. So long story long its taken them 2 months to fix a very simple part that they should have stock of in the first place, and if I hadnt reached out to them so many times itd probably take longer and my warranty would probably have expired by the time they fixed it. Not happy in the least bit. Id only give a 1 star if the techs that came to inspect werent so nice.
We purchased a new refrigerator (and last year, new washer). We are sp pleased with the customer service and ease of purchase. The sales staff go above and beyond with providing informatipn about their products, availability and service. That is what brongs us back.
They do sell appliances but they cannot repair them. Waited two weeks for a tech to come look at our still under warranty electric dryer. Waited two more weeks for a part to come in, which was then installed backwards so the cover plate that protects people from 220V would not fit over it. Their all day window of waiting for a tech to come out to fix their initial incompetence wasn’t working for me so I called Mr Appliance who fixed it in about 15 minutes. I will never order anything from this overpriced joke of a store. Save your money. Go to a big box store.
Friendly. Knowledgeable. Price on target. Much better than any big box store.
I filled out the text form on their website expecting a call back, They didnt bother. I wanted to purchase a microwave with installation, but in the checkout process, they charge $100 for installation, $30 for haul away, and then another $60 for shipping and handling, the shipping and handling fee seems a bit excessive. Im currently looking for a different alternative.
Quickly found the microwave I was looking for. Salesperson was knowledgeable and helpful.
Do Not Order Online! When my wife and I decided to get new appliances for the kitchen at our new house, we chose DVD and ordered online over 2 separate orders. First, many of the items that we ordered were on back order or werent available, even though they showed up available online. Our first order was a month ago and, even though the fridge wont be available until March, we still have no clue where the oven is. More of the same with the 2nd order, we were contacted and the salesman said they had some similar items in stock, so we told them to switch. Even though our card was charged, we still havent a receipt for that order, so we have no idea what exactly getting. And to top it off we had a delivery set for today for the dishwasher and microwave, which is apparently all they had available. I confirmed with the textbot the delivery time of 4-7pm and got no call, no showed. So a month into a 6 appliance order and we still have nothing.
Shopping here was so nice. They let you look without bothering you but was available when you had a question. I will definitely go back there when I’m ready to buy other appliances.
I found this business very helpful and the right place to purchase any needed new appliances. They were able to accommodate me in the purchase of a new refrigerator-freezer to fit in my kitchen which was a smaller than usual size due to the age of my home.
If I could give them a -10 I would. The service department is simply a joke. Weve waited for almost a month for a simple dishwasher repair that still hasnt happened. When I called and asked to speak to the service manager about this, I was told that this wasnt worthy of speaking to the service manager. Unbelievably horrible customer service!
We have purchased a GE double wide refrigerator and drier from Dick Van Dyke Springfield earlier in the year and were very pleased. We recently purchased a GE wash machine and double oven stove from them. Dave Hawkins was very nice and very knowledgeable about all the appliances on the sales floor. He patiently explain the differences in all the models and answered all my questions. He also searched and did a price comparison to see if they could match a lower price on the stove from another store. Their 5/10 year warranty is awesome. I have purchased a refrigerator in the past from a big box store and was not pleased with my purchase. Also it’s hard to find someone to help you at the big box stores and when you do...they usually know very little about the product. We were very pleased with DVD and would buy from them again.
Service calls have to be scheduled weeks in advance. They often do not have the parts to fix the problem and have to come out for second, third or fourth visits.
Great customer service, nit to mention the big selection of all types of appliances.
Everyone was helpful and very courteous, thanks for your help . God Bless All .🤩
We needed to order a Whirlpool compact washer for our motorhome. Anyone that has had to replace a washer or drying in a Class A RV knows it isnt impossible but can be darn hard getting it up through the door and then to where it will be installed. Then there are the tight quarters for where it will remain. The sales staff listened to my concerns and in the process of setting up the delivery they paid attention when I said this was a 2 man job. Delivery and installation included 5 steps down to get the old washer out and 5 up into the RV with the new one. Once they got to the top of the steps they had a hard left turn to avoid damaging anything around the dash and lifting it above the co-pilots seat. Then carrying the washer to the back of our 44 motorhome, over a bed and to the closet.BTW...I did some pre-delivery prep. I removed the screen door to give them a little over 27 of clearance for a 24 wide washer. I also removed the doors to the closet they washer would go into.Delivery was done on schedule. The 2 man crew arrived to our campground site and got right to work. First they were careful removing the broken washer and were just as careful bringing in the new one. The installers ran through some basic checks to verify the unit was working. All this was done in about 45 minutes. It should be noted that there are appliance stores that will not deliver a washer or dryer into an RV. When we considered replacing the washer while in Yuma, AZ this winter there wasnt a dealer that would do it. Keep in mind that Yuma is a major snowbird location with thousands of RVs that visit. Hats off to Dick Van Dyke Appliance World for taking the challenge and doing a great job!
I paid for a dishwasher months ago. I was called to confirm delivery in the fall, only to find out 24 hours later it had not come in. Given new date two more months down the road. Received another call this month that it is not available again. I did not get any offer of refund for inconvenience, refund offer (because THEY GOT THEIR MONEY IN ADAVANCE) until it arrived, another model that would work, NOTHING. I came to them to support local but did not get any consideration back. I am going back to demand a refund this weekend and taking my money elsewhere.
Reasonable pricing, courteous service
My only complaint:When working with the saleswoman, who very proudly proclaimed that “they taught me how to get the out-the-door price” with tax and delivery.....she then gave me a price for a set of appliances using pen, paper, and a calculator. When she put it all into the computer system, the total price was almost $100 more than the quoted price. When I asked, “how are we almost $100 off???” She responded with (and I kid you not), “because I am really bad at math.” She said that as she crumpled up the little piece of paper with her math and tossed it in the trash. I should have laughed and walked out....
Dillian was great. Knew the product and made the lady feel comfortable with the purchase
Dick Van Dyke is the best. I bought new Speed Queen washer and dryer. Very happy with them and the service is great. Don’t waste your time at the big box store! Billy our salesman was very knowledgeable of the products and our installation techs Austin & Evan went out of their way to make sure we had instruction in the use of our washer & dryer. I would recommend Dick Van Dyke to anyone who is in the market for new appliances. Speed Queen, made in the USA.🇺🇸
Dylan was the salesperson that helped me and he was very nice and also knowledgeable about the products he showed me. He answered my questions honestly and was very patient. I would purchased a washer and dryer and would go back if I needed any additional appliances.
Knowledgable staff and friendly service. Delivery was fast and installation smooth. Will be back.
I went in there and met with Dylan. He was very knowledgeable and very helpful. I told him exactly what I was looking for, and I needed it immediately and he met every request. I will definitely request him should I need something in the future.
Their staff is quick to help and guide you when you enter! The 5/10 warranty on most appliances puts them well ahead of other competition! Great local business.
Dillon was very helpful and answered all our questions.
After a 3 month long wait, a repair man finally came out to replace the timer in my dryer. 3 MONTHS! It was finally repaired. Except, during the repair, the repair man broke the knob to the dryer. He said it was already weak and it just snapped. I had never had any issues with it so I’m not sure I believe that. He attempted to replace it but he didn’t have any knobs that fit. He clamped a pair of pliers to the dryer and said he would return with a new one that fit. That was a month ago! There had been no communication and he has not returned with the replacement piece. Now, do you think they will be willing to replace the timer for free when it breaks from having a very heavy pair of pliers clamped to it? The pliers are still clamped on there, and they haven’t communicated at all about the replacement piece he broke. It’s been 2 months now, there is still a pair of pliers clamped to my dryer and the repairman has not returned to replace the knob he broke.
Sales staff was wonderful. Delivery and installation gentlemen were very good. My only complaint is this, in their commercials they state that they will match anybody’s deal and give a FREE 10 year protection program. However I found my appliances at a box store for a cheaper price. The box store had them for about $200 cheaper for the 3 items I bought. I asked them if they would match that price. They would not match the price without taking away the 10 year warranty. That means I am paying extra for a FREE ten year warranty. Which does not make it free. If it is truly a FREE warranty and the BEST DEAL, then they should match any prices out there and still give you the 10 year warranty.
714,000 deaths and nobody is wearing a mask.
Sales team provided information and asked good questions to let me select what fit my needs.Delivery team was on time, professional, and took care of delivering appliances in less than perfect weather. Scouted the house for options, took care to protect the floors, and wiped off a few raindrops as soon as the appliances were in the house. They reviewed the delivery and all documents with me and left with a nice “thank you”.Good job!
I used online chat, it sent me a text message someone would answer me asap. I told them the item i was looking for and wanted their price. Quoted a price i had already got. So 5 days later they returned my text. Too late, i already purchased. This happened to me twice. Wondering how they stay in business if this is how tgey operate.
Im so happy with my new washer. Your driver went above and beyond. With this self-confinement, they made sure my washer was properly installed so I could use it right away and not wait for a family member to come carry it into the house. They were very courteous and kind to this octogenarian! Id recommend your store to my friends in a heartbeat.
I have now bought five appliances from DVD in Bloomington. I will co tongue to buy any that I might need in the future. I like the low pressure sales approach (I go in basically knowing what I want) and the honest dealings. The installations have always gone smoothly and most of the time they are slightly ahead of schedule in my instances. I also feel the warranty is worth it’s weight in gold. Great place to do business.
Good quick service amidst what seems to be an appliance shortage. Two guys working were very friendly and engaging
Had a repairman come out 3-4 times for the same problem with our washer. The last time on a Wednesday he again said it was fixed. On Thursday had the same problem so we called again and the person said she would look into a senior repairman come look at it and would call us back. When we hadnt heard by the next day we called again and they said didnt have a record of us calling. She would check with her manager and call us back. If she hadnt heard back by the end of the day we would have to wait until Monday. She called back on Monday and said her manager said wouldnt send out a senior repairman because the original guy said he did everything he was supposed to. Is this the same guy that hadnt fixed it before? Is this the same guy that did a temporary fix and it flooded the floor through to the basement? We asked when they could get out to check it again they said wouldnt be until the next week. Their customer service is suboptimal. I would not reccomend anyone buying of their products because of their service department!
Jeff was very informative about selecting what his experience has shown to be a good dishwasher. He was also very geoduck knowing which brands to avoid because of parts availability etc. Very effecient and friendly.
2 weeks for delivery of an appliance that was in stock? Paying fordelivery, haul away and new hose. Sure hope it’s worth the price.... whenever I get it.
They come as advertised. We recently renovated our condo and after asking around for recommendations where to get our new appliances, we decided to give DVD Appliance World s try. Our buying experience was very satisfying. Our salesman, Lee, was very knowledgeable, and we felt we were able to make an informed decision when we made our decisions. A couple of weeks after installation, we had a minor issue with one of our appliances. We called the service department, who addressed the issue promptly and efficiently. After 3 attempts to correct the problem, the manufacturer called to inform me they would be replacing the entire unit ASAP.I would recommend DVD Appliance World to anyone. They understand service and deliver on their slogan. We did get the whole store!Tim DonaldsonThe Blind Man
They sell secondhand appliances as new. Crooks.
Repairman was honest & very knowledgeable. Cost of repairs were pretty reasonable. I would definitely recommend their services as I am a PLEASED customer
The store itself and the appliances are great (my wife and I have done business with DVD before). Laat week I called and left a message expecting a response, nothing. I sent email requesting a quote and did receive an email response informing me that an associate would be in touch soon, again nothing. I have to assume that others have experienced the same thing. DVD is probably losing business by not being responsive to both forms of contact.
Would highly highly recommend! Had a fantastic experience dealing with Gary Zimmerman through the beginning to end with purchasing my full GE kitchen set. The two gentlemen that delivered my appliances handled everything very well, and were genuinely nice people to deal with.
We came in late but Jim took the time to answer our questions and stayed past closing time. Thanks Jim for your help.
While I was perusing the store, the employees were very friendly and repeatedly offered their assistance to help me pick out an appliance and find the features I was looking for. Good Customer Service!
My washing machine is still under warranty. However when I called them for the repair, I got nothing but a headache from them. I have 2 boys and I have been without a washer for 2 months now. The first time, the guys didnt even shoe up, then they forgot to place the order, then the part was not on the stock, then they ordered it through a different vendor, then they guys comes and fixes the seal around the door but break the mother board..... And nobody takes the responsibility of this whole mess
Parts department struggles and phone calls were intentionally ignored. This is not the parts departments fault. On Monday at 9:30am I made a call to check to see if a part was in stock. Nobody answered in parts. I called back and reached out to the sales team (ext 1) they transferred me, where I was on hold for 10 minutes and never got through to parts. I then called back, no answer from any department. After calling about once per hour until 2:00pm, I was able to get the sales counter to answer again (they were not answering at all up until this point, due to them screening my phone number.) When they answered, I asked why nobody had been available and that I needed a part, very quickly the man put me on hold and transferred to parts. Parts ended up answering, they confirmed that they had the part I needed and I went in to pick i up at around 3pm. As I waited for my part, there were 2 other people in line, it took 10 minutes, not a big deal, however during this time, 3 salesmen were at the sales counter, not on the floor, but at the counter, and apparently not at all able to take any calls regarding parts or help process parts pickups. I did notice that the phones seemed to be working fine, and they seemed to be answering....which would confirm that they were intentionally not answering my calls when they saw my number on caller ID. This was a very frustrating experience, especially considering nobody would answer my phone call throughout the entire day. The parts manager mentioned he was really busy and that the best option is to leave a voicemail. What good is a parts counter if they are not available during their own business hours? And what good are 3 salesmen ignoring anything parts related. I would not buy from this location, for the fact that theyre main focus is getting you out the door with a new unit, and not being able to provide parts support after the purchase.
Michael did a great job. He’s very knowledgeable and helps give the right information to decide what’s best for the washing machine repair. You’re service technician are great.
We bought a stacked washer and dryer recently it was delivered on Tuesday after delivery it was late and I did a little laundry and it made such a terrific noise I called and spoke to my salesman. He said it sounded like the installers left a bar inside that they use for shipping. The bar should have been removed by the installers and now I have to get the service department involved to come out and remove it and wait 5 days for their arrival. And to top it all off when I called with the morning no one of the service department answer the phone I left a voicemail waited an hour and a half and drove in to the store because I had no return call so a Salesman help me get ahold of somebody from the service department and got it scheduled. Ive got to admit Thanksgiving fell and to play so it did Push service department back some I rate sales as a five star, installers as a two-star if they left the rod in and that was the problem, and service as of right now as a one-star.
I have been attempting to get my washer repaired for nearly a month. The first service technician came out, spun the drum, never took anything apart and determined what the issue was. Week later came back with the wrong part. Week after that the next tech installed the part, but the problem still is not fixed. They are sending the tech out again to check on it. I asked what else could be done and was told nothing else until the unit breaks 4 times in a 12 month period. What good is a warranty if they cannot fix anything in a reasonable time frame. This has been a miserable experience and I would not recommend them or their warranty to anyone.
Mike is very friendly, helpful and knowledgable
