Its been well over 5 years since I visited Autotek, so I cant necessarily speak to how good they are now, but I would guess the quality is still very high. A long time ago, my distributor died and I had my car towed to Autotek and they fixed the problem. 3 or 6 months later, I cant quite remember, the distributor died again, just outside the warranty period. I left a note that was probably harsher than it needed to be (sorry...I was young and broke...), but even though it was just outside the warranty, they still honored it, for which I was extremely grateful.Years later, that distributor almost died again, and by that point I knew how to change it myself. It was actually an electrical issue with that car, where it just did not play very nicely with aftermarket distributors, and that had nothing to do with the quality of work Autotek did. Lets just say there are good reasons I no longer have that car. Autotek was good at other stuff, too, I dont remember any upselling, just legit issues (very old ball joints, etc), but I never did visit after that, I think because my car just didnt have any issues I couldnt do myself. I guess I just feel compelled to say thank you in some way. That doesnt mean they can honor things outside of the warranty of course, but Ill always appreciate that time they did. I would probably still be going to them for large issues if I didnt live far across town, now.

Really good group of mechanics at a small local shop. They figured out what was going on with my GTI within a day, and having a mechanic open Sunday is unheard of. Definitely recommend them, honest prices and good work.

I am new to colorado and have been nervous to find a new mechanic. I have been holding off in the last few months putting the task on the back burner. Website clearly states free diagnostic.....I never signed an authorization form or was given any kind of estimate for a diagnostic service. Then, they told me it was $69.50 for a diagnostic fee...which was never brought to my attention when I called or when I brought the car in. Also, they did not present any receipt or invoice. I HAVE THE SCREEN SHOT SHOWING FREE AUTO REPAIR QUOTE ON THEIR WEBSITE.

These guys are great. I was traveling across the state and I couldn’t get my car started. After getting my battery jumped I brought it here and they figured out it was a loose battery connection. They tightened it and got me back on the road ASAP free of charge.

Its not too often I write reviews but I was thoroughly impressed with the team at Autotek last week when I brought my car in so I wanted to highlight my experience. I needed to get my vehicle inspected after I heard some noises coming from the front of the car driving into work. I work just down the road and they offered to drop me back off at work when I brought my car in, which was of tremendous value. Ultimately the only thing wrong with my car was the lug nuts came loose, so they tightened them, brought my car back to me at work and did not charge me anything for this complete service. They certainly gained a new customer in the process. The team was highly professional, provided a relaxed atmosphere and clearly showed they had my best interest in mind.

I had my sons car towed to Autotek for them to check and tell us if it could be fixed. They spent their time and labor to check out the car only to find out it was no good and not worthy to fix. They were absolutely awesome and did not charge my son any labor costs because they could tell by the car that he did not have much money. It is hard to find places as wonderful as this in this day. I live in Pueblo and wish I could take my car to them. They are the BEST!!!!!!!

Ive been bringing my vehicles here for at least 8 years. They have always been pleasant to work with and have been great in steering me in the correct direction on repairs (them or a dealer). I trust them and they have been very fair in repair charges. I appreciate having a service center that can readily make repairs at a fair price so work to work and home. Thank you!

My family has always used Autotek, for at least 15 years. In the past, the service was incredible and the staff was great. Don knew customer service and had a great relationship with our family. However, with the recent change in ownership, everything from the quality of service to the friendliness of the staff to the ease of making appointments has gone completely downhill. They recently took away appointments for oil changes and now do first come, first served? Also, as for staff friendliness, last time I had my car in, the guy in charge was saying rude things about the phone calls he was taking, talking badly about customers, and full blown yelling at staff - all while I sat 6 feet away. Long time customers, going elsewhere now.

I had a wonderful service experience today. Very professional, friendly and honest. I have asked to check some other items besides my regular oil change and expected to receive a call of the list of needs to be done. Not the case! The car was ready to go in an hour after my scheduledappointment time. No oversell, just honest service. Thank you!

So disappointing to have to post this review. We have taken numerous cars to autotek over the past few years and the service has exceptional. We have recommended them to numerous friends. However, this past week I brought a truck in for oil change and tire rotation. Completely different and very poor experience. A lot of new faces. Took over 5 hours (when it expected to be 60-90 minutes) during which time I was able to observe a number of interactions with upset customers. It seems that they did a recent merger with Saul’s auto and that has resulted in a lot of turnover and the service has gone downhill (a lot). The staff up front seemed to genuinely want to be able to help people, but the service was apparently so bad they weren’t able to do much other than the abuse from customers. I went to get in the truck and all of the glove box stuff was spread all over the seats. Unfortunately need to find a new service shop. Darn...

Theyve always been very fair with me and many other folks Ive known who have gone here. They do a good job and never push unnecessary work. They give an honest assessment and then do a great repair job. They are a AAA member shop too.

Had a wonderful experience here. Their knowledge is top-notch. I had slotted rotors on my Camaro and although the first round of getting them cut (rust from washing the car that caused heat spots) didnt work out as planned, they honored their work and the owner took the job under his wing and did the repeat job to perfection. The extra detail was what made me most happy. They explain their work and why they performed it. I would highly recommend this shop over others because of the care for the work they do and the honesty and integrity of their service. They are all about customer service and making the customer happy.

Unprofessional and poor communication. Had car for two days and still didnt fix it. Have had good experiences in the past ( for five years) but this last time was a disappointment. I wont go back. Also, now charge $85 for just diagnostic fee.

Autotek, did a great job. They figured out what was wrong with my truck and pretty much guessed exactly how it happened. They recommended a solution for me to help pay for the repairs, they gave me a loaner car and did the work quickly. Will bring my truck back here from now on.

I took my Toyota Highlander in for some routine maintenance and the tech identified several issues that needed attention that I was unaware of, and I am pretty particular about my cars. Everything fixed to my satisfaction in a reasonable time and cost. I was kept informed of what was needed and shown the areas in need of attention. I have taken my Santa Fe to Autotek for several years now. I always get friendly, professional and quality service. I still have a warranty on my vehicle though I chose to use Autotek for all my maintenance needs. I use their shuttle service so I can leave my vehicle for them to work on while I am at work. A few months ago, I had just bought some windshield wiper blades and they were on the floor on the front passenger side. When I picked up my vehicle they had put the blades on without me even asking. What great service!!!

I like others am sad to be posting this as well. My husband and I loved Autotek and brought our cars here for years. The communication is terrible and we simply do not trust the services they provide here any longer.

I brought my 98 Civic with a wiring issue. The Honda dealership was unable to find a fix for it. John did not hesitate to take the car in and do the repair. They did it for a very good price and they checked over my whole car in a day. He kept me up to date on progress throughout the day and explained in detail that anyone could understand. Ive dealt with the Autotek Techs well before they started Autotek. They were great then and even more fantastic now. They will bend over backwards in order to service your vehicle at a reasonable price and in making sure it gets done right the first time. My cars will continue being serviced by Autotek for the rest of their lives. And if curious, one vehicle being a Toyota and the second a Chevrolet. Will be giving them a Dodge in the near future to work on as well.

I really want to give them five stars, they did an awesome fast job and their service was great. However, all the paperwork they gave back to me indicates that they put regular 0w 20 oil in my car. I have a high mileage vehicle, which was used for Uber and Lyft, which is 7 years old. Most places at least asked if I want synthetic. Overall, I highly recommend them, just be very careful about what you need to put in your car and specify that up front. I will definitely be coming back, I will just be a lot more careful.

Didnt think about leaving comments until recently when I sold the car. Something is suspicious to me. They have been saying my oil pan leaks and my power steering fluid leaks for over one year maybe two years. When I sold my car two days ago, someone brought their own mechanics and said his finger didt get wet, just some dry dirt around the oil pan. Last time when they try to get me fix the power steering leak, a lady there said in the phone its dripping now either you fix the car or quit driving soon. And for about one month, I drove my car around and didnt see the level of the power steering liquid drop at all.They broke one of the clippers when replacing the brake pads and said not their fault and asked me to pay for the part. Also after last oil change, they put the next oil change to be 8000 miles later? Is that a typo?Or just my car was too old?Anyway I have a new car now and wont need to go back here.

Under New Management recently. It will take some time to re-establish the brand again but Im sure it will be great

John Brekkes Autotek has taken care of my car for years. They are the best service center that I have found in the Denver area. Very knowledgeable and customer friendly. They tell you what is wrong and quote you a fair price. The work done on my car has almost always been under price. The one time I could not afford to do everything on the car at the same time, they were kind enough to tell me what needed to be done first. We love this place and wish we could take it to Texas where we are moving.

Absolutely stunned by the level of service. One of the most unpleasant experiences for me is taking my car to the mechanic. Not a car person and never know if youre being told the truth. I expected to pay for things I didnt need it but quite the opposite happened. Instead of paying close to 700 dollars for a new alternator, Don and his team diagnosed my car and figured out what was actually wrong with it and saved me 500 bucks. Great to know that I have a mechanic that I can trust for my future needs :)

Seriously... You’d think having 30 years in business would mean integrity. But no...We had our truck towed in late Friday and dropped the key envelope with a note stating suspected fuel pump.The note also stated an urgent need for repair as we were moving!!They call at 7:40 am Sat to say they are getting on it immediately.2pm, no word, so we call and they say they need to diagnose it Monday as it’s not the fuel pump, likely wiring.1pm Monday, still have gotten to it...will today.4pm Monday, we think it’s the fuel pump. That’ll be $900 and it’ll be ready tomorrow... (FOUR days later, when we told them the issue) And we disputed the price... diagnostic isn’t supposed to be included this should’nt be more than around $500...Listen carefully.... The manager guy calls back and says the price is $580 and they are not charging for the diagnostic...Wednesday... Noon... no call, STILL not ready. And the guy we needed to talk to, Josh or Jordan?, simply would NOT come to the phone or call back!4pm on Wed...They have a broken part...”not sure if they broke it or if it was broken when they got it... “ Reassuring... don’t ya think?Tomorrow... It’ll be ready.3pm tomorrow. Thursday! 6 DAYS FOR A FRIGGIN FUEL PUMP...And here’s the real kicker...when going to pick it up... “That’ll be $1790, please”With a very uncomfortable exchange in the lobby the price was $700...NEVER AGAIN... No integrity and a poorly run shop...(Update 11/10/19 - The owners response has zero to do with our review... so not sure why they bothered. Truly...just be cautious. There are better places to get your work done)

Well, really, would NEVER Never never go back to this shop again, had bad experience, one guy I called asking how’s the car going, his responds I do not feel he was trying to respect people, giving me the runaround and the exactly parts number for parts you need to fix your car they provided is 20% to 30% markup over DEALER PRICES, they gonna help you to spend way more money than what you will expected, if you go this place, make sure you pocket is full enough to fill up their needs and your needs, and make sure you know your car a bit more, otherwise your will know it

Recommended them when my daughter was having some issues with her car. She took it in at her scheduled appt. time Saturday at 8 am, she gave the go ahead to fix all repairs, had the car all day Saturday, then all day Sunday, no communication from them to her, she did all the calling and inquiring, Sunday when she had talked with someone, they werent sure if theyd have it done by the end of the business day, no call back. She showed up Monday morning, inquired about her car, they said two hours, offered her an uber to work, she said if its only two hours shed wait, but if it was going to be longer, shed get a ride now from the person who stopped her off, they reassured her 2 hours. 4.5 hours later. When I called the one that recommended them and asked what happened, you get a little suspicious as to whats really happening when your not informed, or communicated to. The front desk person fabricated what I had already known from my daughter, the gal informed me that my daughter was fully aware and chose to stay and wait and that she had been in constant contact, and that she was the hard one to get a hold of, several messages left, not so, my daughter then called the front desk person back to confront the fabrications, the response was apologies, apologies. Apologies are fine, but really you need to realize, and take accountability, and take a customers frustration bring it to a meeting, and discuss how your going to improve communication between yourselves and customer.

I would give Autotek owner, more stars if they were available. Beside the great job in my car, Saul took time from his busy schedule, to accompany me to Kuni Lexus Dealer. It happens that Lexus was suggesting that Autoteks repair in my car caused damage that voided my warranty. To make a long story short... Kuni Lexus honored my warranty.I was very impressed by Sauls knwoledgeable and professional demeanor, and Im very thankful to him. He certainly takes good care of his clients.

I got some smaller fixes done here, they got me in right away and fixed my car in a timely manner. However, when they gave me a quote for fixing my alternator, I went elsewhere and got it repaired for $400 cheaper.

I took my car here in January because it was pulling right when braking. I was told to replace the idler and pitman arm.? $650.00. We also paid 79.99 for a alignment. We got the car back and noticed it was still doing the same thing. We took it back and they checked the brakes. 3 months later we still have the same issue, so we took it back. Now Don is saying the brake calipers need to be replaced 617.91? I told him that i think the issue was misdiagnosed from the beginning. IF YOU HAVE $100 to spend to fix something, and $100 more to really fix it this is your place. WHAT A JOKE

I didnt actually go to this shop but I called to ask some questions and the guy couldnt have been less interested in my call. Obviously I didnt give them ny business.

I have been using Autotek since they opened. They not only service; they diagnose without trying a bunch of things to see if it solves the problem. They were the only place to diagnose the broken gas tank baffle on my 87 Suburban that had caused me to have 3 fuel pump failures. The baffle had apparently been broken back in 88 when my wife was broad-sided. Since then I have had all my service done there. On my Jeep and Toyota van I had them do the 60,000 mile required service at a lot less than the dealerships wanted. Totally happy with their service and personable staff.

They are very horrible about keeping you up to date, and seem to like to just guess at what problems are. And keep charging you for different things.

I took my car in for a misfire and they decided to add oil to my car without asking because the thought it was low. Car drove funny afterwards, drained 11 quarts of oil out of my car that takes 8.5. I called the manager to voice my concerns and he CUSSES ME OUT because he claims his mechanics could never do such a thing. I couldve blown gaskets driving my car any farther than around the block and they simply dont care.

Had an issue with my 4runner, had another shop look at it and due to the multiple lights and possibility of it being computer related it was recommended either the dealer or John at autotek. We dropped it off, used the night drop. Got a call about the fix the next day, ordered the part and were told it would be 3 days. We actually got the 4runner back a day early and under budget. Couldnt be happier with the way everything turned out. I cant recommend autotek enough, especially if you have a Toyota.

My SUV was bouncing up and down as I drove on flat streets. I didnt know what was wrong so I went to Autotek to find out. The technician thought the struts needed to be replaced. He checked things out and called to tell me the cost and promptly fixed the problem. Now, my SUV runs like a dream, no more bouncing for me.

Took one of my Porsche Cayenne Turbos to these guys for an undercarriage wash. It appears they did an OK job after $155. But... these guys drove the car over 6 miles! Why??? Why would they take the liberty of a joy ride??? wow! Never again will use them or give them the keys to any of my vehicles. Just aint cool to go jammin in someone elses ride.
