If I could give this place a zero star rating I would. Nikki was extremely rude and had awful customer service skills. It almost felt like she was trying to one up me, like she knew she was better or prettier. Please talk to your customers/clients with respect. As rough as times are right now, you never know what someone is going through. Therefore I hope karma doesn’t come back to you. I encourage you to spread kindness everywhere you go.

Nikki knows her stuff and has some of the greatest products. I am a huge fan of her mirror compact and their foundation powder. She also helped me hand select colors for it that were right for my skin tone and coloring. I have also had her apply make up for a few special occasions and it made me look and feel very glamorous. This is a lovely place with lovely, knowledgeable people. I had makeup done for a photo shoot and not only did the employee do a fantastic job, but it was also super fun. It is a shame that people with an axe to grind are allowed to leave fake reviews to try to damage a strong, woman owned business and harm not only the owner but the other women who work at the business. Not only is this immature but theid lame reviews lend credability to Pretty Lane as does their mature, polite responses to one individual with fake accounts.

Last year, I heard excellent reviews from friends about the Dollup brand powder foundation at Pretty Lane. Since I live in Des Moines, a few hours away from their storefront, I contacted them on Facebook Messenger about possibly matching me with a color. They responded promptly and asked for a photo do they could send me a sample of the Cedar color. I ended up ordering from their website as well, which was super easy and fast. Not only was the customer service awesome, but I love the foundation. It goes on flawless, blends and layers easily and most importantly, it looks natural and covers all the imperfections!
