I had a hairline crack in my wheel and called for an appointment on Tuesdaygot in on Wednesday - left my car for a couple of hours - they fixed the wheel - perfect. Great service, professional, kind and timely. I totally recommend this business. Good honest people.COME HERE TO GET YOUR CURB RASH FIXED!Dont go anywhere else !! Quick service on curb rash repair!!!!!I called shortly after they closed after finding them on yelp after I had a very bad curb rash and I mean baaaad.I just wanted to see if I could catch someone for a quote but wasnt really expecting them to answer since they had just closed maybe 10 mins earlier. To my surprise Rachel answered the phone !! Rachel Was Awesome In Answering All my Questions. She asked me to send her a picture of my wheel to make sure that she can give me an accurate quote on Wether it needed paint or polish, I sent her a pic and she gave me a very reasonable price quote. She set me up to come in at 9am the next day.Upon arrival I was greeted by an employee I cant remember the name of. He checked me in and went to get Jose who was the technician who fixed my wheel.Jose was awesome he was very honest with me and told me about how the polish in house by may not match the factory polish on my new black Honda rims. I asked what other options where there. There were 2, one I could have all the wheels painted gloss black which would have been really nice to ditch the factory polish two tone look. And the other was if I would like they can send it out to the factory for a little more money but I chose the cheaper route because funds and I didnt want to wait the day or two to send it out to the factory.Also THEY DID IT IN LESS THAN 2 hours !!!Im happy with what I chose because it looks 100x better than it did and saved me the cost of 2 new wheels I think the sport touring rims range around $400 a pop so thats nearly $1000 I would have had to spend for new rims.Thank you guys for everything hopefully the only reason Ill need to come back here is to paint my brakes.

If I could give this company a zero rating, I would, but one is the lowest, so that is what they are getting!Called Desert Wheel in January/21. Mentioned we had a rim that had a slight dent on it. Talked to Lee at Desert Wheel on the phone, who said he could make the wheel true again. Was told it would be between $120 and $130 to fix it.After about ½ hour, I the person was working on the wheel (tire was still on the rim). He was spraying water on the tire, and I inquired why. He said, “your tire doesn’t leak”. I asked him why he was testing the tire for a leak, and he said, “that is what it says on the work order – that your tire is leaking”. I told him I had never mentioned anything about a leak, and approached Lee to ask why the guy was testing for a leaky tire? He looked at the work order, and said he didn’t know.Once on a balancer, I was shown where there was a slight dent inside the mag rim. I asked if they could get rid of it, and he said, “absolutely”.We went and purchased a coffee around the corner, met up with some friends who were heading toward Palm Springs, and after about 45 minutes, Lee said, “All done – the wheel is perfectly round again; you couldn’t get this wheel any rounder”. He said there was still some “bounce” when balancing the rim/tire, and that we should have the tires checked. I haven’t mentioned the tires were virtually brand new top-of-the-line Michelins with about 1,000 miles on them.As we had purchased our tires at Costco, we went back there to address a possible issue with the one tire (we had had the tires balanced prior to taking the car to Desert Wheel, as our car had sat for a few months, and Costco had used their new balancer). I was summoned to see the wheel in question, and there were two issues: the dent was still there, and whoever balanced the tire at Desert Wheel had completely misbalanced it – it was out .50 on the inside and .75 on the outside rim. I was told, “no wonder you could feel bounce – between the dent in the rim, and the horrible balancing job that had been done, there is no way this wheel would be running smoothly.I called Desert Wheel, got Jennifer, who stated she was one of the owners, and explained the entire situation. Her first suggestion was, “bring the car back so we can look at it”. I told her there was no way they were touching our car again, as they had done nothing, and charged us $120. I further stated that the person working on the rim didn’t even know he was to check for a dent. She then launched into a lecture about how tires can get a flat spot sitting for a period of time, which I told her I was fully aware of, but explained that there were no flat spots on these “nearly brand new” tires (verified by Costco, and my own observations). She insisted that I didn’t know what I was talking about, and that Desert Wheel does great work. I told her I wanted my money back, which she was not the slightest bit interested in discussing, kept talking over me, finally started to yell, and suddenly slammed the phone down (I note others have written reviews relating being shouted at by management when there was an issue).Our solution: We ordered a reconditioned rim from Wheels America in Houston, received a perfect looking reconditioned rim (total cost about $120 – same as what Desert Wheel ripped us off for), had the tire removed and placed on the new rim, and presto – the car rides like a dream once again!So, buyer beware! These guys cannot seem to distinguish between a dent in a rim and a leaky tire; they tell you they have fixed the problem, when in fact they have done nothing; they then blame the tire; refuse to refund your money for work not done; and worst of all, when presented with the facts, get mad, yell at the customer, and slam the phone down.Perhaps a course in customer service and anger management is in order for the owners. For those who elect to trust their beloved rims to someone to repair them – beware! Desert Wheel in Cathedral City is NOT where you want to go!

Horrible Experience! After dropping off a damaged wheel at Desert Wheel Repair, the worker put it on a machine to make sure it was reparable. He told me that he will be able to repair it without a problem and he was 95% sure, which sounded pretty reassuring. Next day I came and Paid them 130 dollars and had them put the repaired wheel on the car that the spare donut was on at the time. I immediately noticed a vibration even at lower speeds that was not there with the spare wheel. I called them right away to tell them the car is vibrating exactly the same before the repair. They made me come back the next day at 11am to see what else could be wrong. when I cam back the next day they told me that the tires could be a problem or the alignment. I kindly asked if they could put the wheel that was repaired on the spinning machine so that I could see how it spins, as soon as we did this it was obvious that the wheel was far from true and it was going up and down on both sides of the tire in a very noticeable way. I pointed that out to the owner and he agreed with me that it was not true and i could get my money back. He then went to talk to his wife who runs the business and was on the phone in the office at the time. When she came out and I told her her husband agreed to refund me She started screaming at her husband calling him names because he agreed to give me a refund because i would need to get a new wheel which is going to cost me additional $700. She screamed at her husband and on me, said that they did the job and are not going to give a refund. One of the workers then said to me that circles are not perfect. Anyway after arguing in a very loud, rude and unprofessional manner she gave me $40 dollars back not even 30% refund. As a business owner myself I have no idea how this business has good rating. They will take you money regardless if they can do the repair or not and if you call them out on the poor work watch out the Lady is a loose cannon to say the least. All I wanted was to be treated fairly, never been treated worse.

These guys do a great job. I picked up my R32 wheels looking brand new.

They did an excellent job on repairing one of my rims that was damaged by a tire place. It had multiple scratches into the base coat as well as gouged into the metal. Same day turn around, and it looked like it came straight out of the box I purchased it in. Staff was super polite and professional. Highly recommend!!!

Desert wheel repair is the best!! If I could give 10 stars I would. This shop went out of theyre way to accommodate me and my repair. I was 10 hours from home while hauling a trailer and these guys and gal fixed the rim in my pick up completely rearranging theyre schedule to fit me in not only was I taken care of in a timely manner but the price was half of what i thought it wouldve been. Awesome place!!

They never refuse the work but DO NOT TRUST on the time that they tell u to pick it up! when you go for pick up They will tell you that we didnt promise you. So stay there until they finish your work.One star is more than enough for them.

Dont judge a book by its cover...When I first pulled up to this shop, I wondered if I had made a mistake. It certainly doesnt have any curb appeal but after meeting the owner and his wife and after watching him work on my wheels, I cant give them enough praise. The gentleman who repaired my wheel is genuinely interested in doing his job right. No shortcuts. He and his wife are a true pleasure to work with and I am so pleased that I am sure I will be back for any future wheel repair needs.

Hit a pot hole and damaged the rim of our car while in PS. They were able to fit us in same day and repair our rim in about an hour. Very affordable and excellent service. Lifesavers to say the least.
