Save Mart has the absolute worse prices out of every large chain grocery store.You can get higher quality products at Trader Joes for less money and a far more enjoyable experience.The customer service is beyond awful and theres no self checkout.The only reason why I ever go here is to use the coupons that they send me in the mail. But half of the time they wont even accept them!You would be better off going to WALMART than wasting your time and money in this place.

I was informed by their website that they carried Blue Bunny ice cream. Very disappointed. Also amazed at the limited items overall. I had not been there for nearly a couple of years as they didnt offer pickup or delivery options for me.

Place has a huge inventory

I have been shopping at Save Mart for years specifically for the bacon from the butcher block. Best in town until the last few months. The last 3 times I bought bacon it was horrible. Not fresh. Old! I dont know what theyve done to change the bacon but I WILL NOT be buying it at Save Mart anymore. When you buy bacon and it doesnt have any taste and it wont cook correctly because its old its time to stop buying it at Save Mart.

Wide isles, wonderful selection of produce, salad kits, and fruit. Bakery selection was full shelves, a great local honey shelf of different varieties of sizes.Seafood display was desirable, fresh Salmon with green garnishment.Very clean,wide sections and management on floor greeting Customers.Parking lot - enough space between vehicles.Cashiers wearing masks and disposal gloves while handling products and money.Prices are comparable with Walmart, Smiths, Raleys.Meat dept has Black Angus Top Choice Chuck Roast.Good grade cut. Tried it and was delicious. Learned something new while getting cash out, the Cashier Brayen gave us a run down on how to save money, download Save Marts app, create a password and Whala your in. Coupons are loaded onto your phone,no need for paper Coupons,like magic. Great incentive.

Nobody at the registers except for one person all damn day long people are 5 and 6 even tentacles deep in line trying to get their groceries and you have no self self checkouts what the hell is that all about!

I shopped at Save Mart last night and had a very unpleasant experience with our cashier, Nicole W. She was short with us from the beginning of the transaction, when my partner asked her how she was doing she did not respond. I bought an assortment of fruit and she seemed very frustrated with us as she struggled to find the codes to ring them up. She didn’t have a bagger working with her so my partner started bagging our groceries to speed up the process, but Nicole refused to move the conveyor belt to send our items down to him, and then proceeded to start bagging our things herself in plastic bags. My partner politely told her we don’t need the plastic bags and that he would bag them in paper instead, but she didn’t acknowledge him. I repeated the request not to have plastic bags but she ignored me and continued to use them anyway.My partner got so frustrated by her ignoring us he walked away. When she continued using plastic despite our requests I repeated that we don’t want these bags, and removed my items from plastic to put them in the paper bags I was already stocking. She ignored us so brazenly I actually wondered if she didn’t hear us, until I started walking away and she began talking about us to the couple who had been next in line. I heard her tell the next customer not to worry because she could reuse those bags for them, ask what difference one plastic bag would make, and complain that she didn’t have a bagger working with her- never mind the fact that we were actually trying to help bag our own groceries.My decision to try and use less plastic is a personal one, and it is not up to Nicole W. from Save Mart to decide for me what materials I ought to consume in my own daily life. My partner and I were nothing but polite to your cashier, and in return she made us feel like garbage. I’m not some kind monster because I eat apples and nectarines and prefer paper over plastic. We won’t be returning to shop here.

Didnt have what I was looking for, but found something somewhat comparable that worked. Cashier was friendly and suggested I sign up for save mart card, I havent yet, but she was nice and informative.

I love shopping here. Never crowded like the Smiths in downtown Carson City. Never long lines. Always clean. Good produce. Great selection. Fair prices. Friendly workers. What more could you want? This store is well-run.

For their prices being higher than most places in town they have some really good deals at times. The produce is fairly good and the service is pretty good too. If you have a question on where an item is you have to go to the register area because I dont normally see people stocking aisles but that could be because of the time of afternoon I am shopping

I absolutely love this store! The first thing I noticed, at least during weekday morning hours, there are no crowds. Parking is excellent. Its a very pleasant shopping experience, great prices and can get to everything quickly. Cashiers are very nice, staff is helpful. I live in Dayton and I drive past many stores to shop there. Its our favorite grocery store in Carson City.

This store is quickly becoming one of my faves. Its great for a quick run in and grab. Especially when other shopping options can take quite a long time to check out and are much more expensive. They have excellent prices, fresh produce and good looking selection of fresh seafood, including live lobster. If I dont need something in particular from Wal-Mart Ill likely be grocery shopping from Save Mart.

I really love save Mart when it was on hwy 50, the had good deals and sold rabbit and other meat deals. I miss it, dont like Walmart.

This store is greatProduce is fresh and lasts when taken home. Deli, seafood,fresh cut meat the way you want it. Somethings a little pricey but with sales it balances out. Quality of meat exceeded any other local stores.

Savemart is a nice small grocery store. You can usually score on the manager specials if you pay attention. Their produce is pretty fresh as well. Parking lot is oddly angled with some harsh speed bumps though. Staff is friendly.

Walked in and the store had an overwhelmig smell of sewer and walked out. After being in the store about 30 seconds and not touching anything some lady working there runs after me screaming not to steal. I have never stolen and wouldn’t dare touch anything in that nasty store. Definitely will never go back.

They have the best pork ribs in sale.

Great shop for lactose-free dairy -- milk, chocolate milk, ice cream. When Wal-mart and Raleys dont have them, Save Mart does. That goes for egg nog over the holidays too.

The deli took 32 minutes to make 4 sandwiches. Not sanitary at all they would go grab something from the store part or do their hair and then not change the glove at all and then go and touch the food.

Pretty good produce section. They carry wheat (cat) grass that is fresh. Many items are overpriced.

Alot of products were out of date and corn tortillas even had mold on them. Pickles in refrigerator section was only good for 1 day. Out of date and or expiring dates made me never want to shop there again.

I had my service dog with me, ADA laws state I do not need any form of I.D for my canine, a female worker came up to me and was very rude about me having my dog. She is a dog for ptsd and is still in training, this lady harassed me about leaving with my dog because shoppers did not want to shop there because of my dog . Im sure no shopper complained because she was well behaved until this lady came up in frustration and she barked because one of her trainings is to warn me of hostile body language near my personal space . I do NOT want anyone else with need of a service dog to feel attacked as I was. Under the ADA law this interaction can lead to a law suit. I will not do such a thing however, this could lead to that in other instances if this worker does not become more educated in the laws of a service dog. People with service dogs should not feel unwelcome in any environment because they need them for a disability.

The service is outstanding. The employees are always very kind and helpful. I live in between this Savemart and Walmart and would rather pay the couple extra bucks shopping here than spend my time at the competition. Its clean, good meat/produce and again the employees are wonderful!
