Customer service was amazing! Hector and Dana answered all my questions and were available for me every step of the way. Even though the car was backordered, I was informed during each step in the process and honestly enjoyed the buying process this way more than the normal way! I was in and out in one hour. Definitely buy your Toyota here! I live in Reno and this was absolutely worth the short drive.

Good service overall, but it sounds like they typically do a courtesy wash, but nobody was there to run it through. Also, there wasn’t a discussion with me, but the invoice showed that the air filter should be replaced but that I declined. Not a huge deal, but would have been nice to have the option to replace it if it was required. Again, though, overall good service and friendly folks.

Friday afternoon brought my car in to be service because my warning message said it was due. I told them if they could work it in, I would leave it with them until Saturday night or Monday morning. He said that the were pretty busy and that h would try. Two hours later they called and said a technician was able to get to it and that it was ready to be picked up. WOW, what a blessing. I wish I could give a split review. One for sales, one for the service department. Sales deserves a 5 out of 5. Sabdi was amazing and I would highly recommend her if you’re still going to purchase a car there after reading this. Sabdi was very prompt to handle any of my questions, concerns, and work around my hectic schedule. However..***BEWARE***The service department is a disaster and is why I give my review one star. For the 15 fleet cars I need to purchase for my business I will pay a little extra and take my future business back to Reno Toyota. My experience with the service department will end up being a complete waste of my time for what will end up being two days to do a simple install. Thanks to the poor management, communication, and efficiency of their service department I will not return or recommend Carson City Toyota. Make sure you’re aware that your purchase of plastic parts that are not specific to your individual vehicle are non-refundable, even when they have not installed them, haven’t gotten them installed in a timely manner, or if they have to reschedule you to another day for the install. Also, be aware that appointments and appointment times are not actually appointments and are irrelevant. They are just rough dates your work may or may not be completed. I wanted to give them the excuse often the current labor shortage, but the fact that there was zero communication throughout the five hours my car was being serviced I will assume that the labor shortage simply exposed the inefficiency of the service department. Lastly, make sure you aren’t waiting for them to contact you about if you’re service is complete. If it goes past the estimated completion time, go find them or call them. They will not try to reach you.

DT was excellent! If you need a sales agent that will not pressure you into something more or less than you are looking for, he is your guy! He was able to find my wife and I exactly the model, color, and package we were looking for. Carson City Toyota is a no pressure dealer and was excellent car buying experience! Dont pay California dealer markup when Carson City Toyota will do what is needed to make buying a new car easy.

The rear seat was not locked down after changing out the low pressure fuel pump recall item. I had to return to get that accomplished. No one advised me before I took it in that it was also due for its 25 or 30,000 mi service. It depends on who I talk to as to what service was actually due. It would have been nice to know this so that I could all get this accomplished at once as I drive 45 mi round trip to the dealership.

DT Nguyen helped me get a car during a difficult time with the chip shortage. He is very knowledgeable about the cars and helped me get the right one fast. Come and see Mr. DT!

Had the best experience here! We traded in our car for one of their used vehicles! Even though we didn’t end up with a Toyota, would still highly recommend this dealership! Wade helped us from start to finish, was great at communicating with us about the cars progress with maintenance and cleaning, constantly checking in with us. The finance department was fabulous! Whenever I get any service done on my Tundra the staff consistently provides me with updates in a timely manner. Alway spot on. The lounge area is very clean and you can get a cup of coffee while watching the tube. Cliff and Hugo rock.

Not a good start to my day, stupid car was DEAD. Got a jump start from roadside and drove straight to Carson Toyota. Even tho they were very busy on this Saturday, they found time to check over my car and found it was the battery. All done in no time at all. Carson City Toyota has become extremely lackadaisical in the past few years. This was a place I enjoyed going to for service. Not anymore. They have lost their pride of workmanship or care for customer loyalty. Sadly so that I was told to bring my truck to their competition in Reno for an oil change. Again, no cares given. This was a suggestion by a Carson City service writer. I guess the new Sequoia will be purchased from their competition since that’s where I’ll have to take my vehicles for service.Before I get the Mr. Hawkins line again, it’s a waste of time trying to talk with him.... he’s where most of the problem stems from. This behavior started before the pandemic started affected us. You guys know who I am and are welcome to contact me to continue this further.

I had a scheduled appointment for new tires to be mounted/balanced, alignment, and oil change. I rented a vehicle so that I could drop off my truck a day early and pick it up the after the service. The service writer communicated with me through a text & web based service that I also needed a new air filter, spark plugs, coolant, and trans fluid service, which I was able to review and approve through the web service. The staff was very helpful and the process was very convenient. The only thing I wish they would have done better is to clean the mounting lube off the wheels before returning my truck.

Carson City Toyota have a problem with in third service Department. They are not up to par.When you call them to make a appointment (4-times) they do not return your calls.When you go to their place of business, the service Representative just walk by you.When you ask for help with these issues in the sales department, they just laugh at you and ya, service Department has issues.Had to go to their Accounting Department to make a service appointment, she was very helpful and we got our appointment .

If i could leave 0 stars i would. It was $80 for an oil change, and it took 2 and a half HOURS to complete. My car was Pending Completion for about 45 minutes so i went to ask what was going on, and was told that its done and was just about to come let me know. I then waited another 15 minutes just to get my keys to be able to leave. I had told the service provider that we would be waiting inside for my car, i received a text with recommendations of what else to get done, but he never came out to actually talk to me about it, let alone that 2 of the problems were critical.

I just ordered and bought my new Tacoma truck from Carson City Toyota. I must say, all of the staff was very friendly-especially Wade, Toby, and Dustin. Wade helped me order my truck in-store and was very good checking up with me and giving me updates on my trucks status. He is still checking in with me!Overall, It was a pretty quick and painless process. They answered my questions and I left with my new truck that very day! With the ongoing chip shortage and seeing how popular and especially rare new Tacomas are, this impressed me that I got this truck through them in a pretty quick manner.

Great service! Towing company dropped off the vehicle due to a faulty ignition cylinder, John Diaz had me taken care of under an hour and also did a multi-point inspection. Whole experience was took two hours and was super easy!

Sales Jon Paul 5 star . Great guy, went above and beyond. Financed guy not so much, left us wanting to leave the deal that Jon had worked for so hard all day. Making comments on how we got screwed over in other deals at other dealers, very pushy to get extras (warranties and such) to the point made us uncomfortable by the way he would make remarks in strong disagreement. At the end of the day we got a great SUV. If not for the finance guy (Chung i think) would have given it a 5 star.

Julian worked tirelessly to get me a fair trade on my old tundra and a good deal on my new tundra. The fact that he was even able to find me the exact tundra I wanted was miraculous.

1) Changed to synthetic oil with out consulting me. Said, they had put synthetic oil in the last 2-3 times theyd serviced my, 2010, Tundra. Prior to my changing my Toyata service provider from Lake Tahoe Toyota to Carson City Toyota. It had always had regular oil added, since purchasing the truck new in So. Lake Tahoe. So... if I believe Carson City Toyota they changed to Synthetic oil three services ago again without consulting me.2) Upon leaving the dealership. When I applied the brakes slowing down from 50-60mph. The steering wheel vibrated left-right.I returned to the dealership. They said they didnt do anything to the brakes but inspect them and rotate the tires. They did offer to schedule me for an appointment to check the brakes, couldnt do anything today. Told them that wouldnt do, I would find someone who could help me. As I was about to leave, the Service writer knocked on my passenger side window. He offered to check the torque of the lug nuts. He returned from the service area with a torque wrench and checked the lug nuts. Said, all were OK... The vibration has slightly imporved.I will likely return to So. Lake Tahoe Toyota for my next service. Hopefully they have been able to hire a Service manager that stays around ...

Went there to look at a low mileage Camry that was silver (never my choice for color). It had just been sold. Bo in Sales said let me see what else I have. He asked if we prefer silver and I said no I like red. He had a NEW 2021 Camry in stock and it was red! We have never bought new but Bo said he would make us a deal. He set us up with Dustin who was great also. Dustin was very patient, no pressure at all, took the time to show us the features and even set up my phone in the car. Called this morning to schedule an oil change under warranty. Was told the first available appointment was the end of August! Never had this treatment before with my Toyota vehicles. Guess this is the way they now treat customers who purchased their maintenance program. Now I have to find a place to change the oil or do it myself. Good grief.

I had a one wonderful experience here with their staff in March 2017, had a horrible buying experience (that I’ve already talked with them about) in August 2020 with their salesperson Jon Paul. They “remedied” this with a $100 gas card. Lately, their service department is consistently unavailable and inattentive for appts. Most recently, I wanted to give them a chance again and sell them back the car I bought in 2017 and they gave me a very low appraisal and refused to negotiate, looking for every tiny detail they could possibly lower their appraisal with. Their Buying and “negotiation” process (you don’t really get that opportunity to be honest and this dealership should switch to a no-haggle experience) makes a manager inaccessible, this dealership lacks transparency and has frequent staff turnover. Since 2017, it’s become everything I hate about dealing with car dealerships. I took my business elsewhere and will also use a different Toyota dealership moving forward.

I was told in May that my vehicle needed a new “boot” on the front right as it was leaking slightly. I made an appointment to have it fixed inJuly and low and behold, it did not need to be changed/replaced. I did appreciate that they didn’t just “hang parts” but I waited unnecessarily for 4 hours to find that out.

Gilbert was wonderful. At no point did it feel like I was in a car dealership. Everything was very low stress and he was more than happy to show me multiple vehicles until I found the one that fit. I would send all of my friends to this dealership. The process was simple and everyone involved seemed to care. Thank you!

I had an 11:15 appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. I was told when I checked in that they were backed up and it would take about 2 hours. I decided to wait for my car. No shuttle was offered.After an hour my service rep informed me that they were still behind and it would take more than the original two hours to complete the service. They offered to reschedule, but I declined because why would I want to spend another morning waiting.I was texted a link to a website where I could monitor the progress on my service, and they also have a monitor which shows the status of your service. At 1:00, two hours after I arrived the website and monitor announced that work had begun. At 1:42 the website said that the work was completed and the monitor said Completion pending. I was expecting my service rep to come personally to let me know my car was ready, so I waited a bit. After about 15 minutes I went to the cashier who told me she didnt have the paper work. At 2:20 I went to the service manager and complained that the paper work was taking 40 minutes so far. He was not apologetic and told me to see my service rep and told me where to find him as if I should have known.I found my service rep and noted he had my car keys on his desk. I mentioned that the work had supposedly been complete 45 minutes earlier, and he said that was impossible because he had only just gotten my keys. I told him their status monitoring system was apparently screwed up. He suggested I go back to the waiting room and he would let me know when the cashier had my paper work. This took another 10 minutes. He gave me a curt sorry for the delay.During this time I heard at least 3 other customers complain about waiting up to 4 hours without having their work completed. I ended up waiting 3 and a half hours for a 42 minute SCHEDULED service.The one star given in this review is for the comfortable waiting area. Ill give them credit for that.
