I went to Carson Citys Hyundai because the Lithia Reno locations customer service was really bad. They exceeded my expectations and had amazing customer service, they attempted to do something to fix the issue even though they couldnt recreate it, Renos location never did that, they also washed my car. This will definitely be my main location to go to with anything I need for my car. Very friendly staff, they will definitely get the work done for you.
Amazing experience buying a car from this dealership! I was able to find the exact Ioniq hybrid I was looking for that was completely sold out in CA. They helped me get to the payment I was looking for and even delivered it to our house the same day we purchased it. From start to finish the transaction was painless and the staff was so accommodating and helpful. I cant say enough good things about them. I had a great experience working with Carson City Hyundai. I actually went there to purchase a used car, (not a Hyundai), but it didnt fit me. The sales person, (Greg), asked me if I had tried a Hyundai Kona. I had not, but had read very good reviews for this car. I loved the car when I drove it, but didnt think I could get it in the price range I could afford. Greg and the sales office worked with me and I ended up driving away in a super nice new car for the same price limit I had set to buy a used car.
Everything was done as expected, the personnel were congenial and took care of all the needs. And...., the facility was exceptional! Spotlessly clean, and very conveniently set up!

This was an exceptional car buying experience both due to the convenience of location and above all because of the wonderful staff that work there. Most notably I must mention Larry whom helped me get into my new Hyundai. He was wonderful, he was not only very nice and polite he also helped out with my 2 year old son by gifting to him a small stuffed animal. Im certain that is not required by his company, he did that out of the kindness of his heart and it means a lot to a parent trying to make a serious decision with their child fidgiting and acting crazy! I was greeted when I got there and shown several Kona’s test drove one. I love the one I bought great on gas and roomy enough for four adults on a road trip.
The personnel were very friendly and easy to deal with. They presented the car and explained all of the features very well. As long as you know what you want they are able to work with you on a price. We were able to come to an agreement very quickly and I did not have to spend all day at the dealership to get going in the new car. Great experience!

Hyundai Carson City takes their reviews very seriously. I am happy to report that I have been contacted by Hyundai and they have a greed to continue my promised weekly car washes.I purchased a 2020 Hyundai Tucson in July. The salesman offered me a years worth of car washes in order to secure the deal. After a couple months The dealership would no longer honor the car washes stating that the salesman that sold me the car was fired. I was told that the manager and the owner of the dealership would not standby the original agreement. You can draw your own conclusions.
I brought my veloster in to be worked on. As natural they do the point inspection. I thanked them for the suggestions and left. Three days later my car wouldnt start. I took it back in. I was then called and told my entire engine was shot. The engine was replaced. It was suggested that I buy the $400 engine kit hoses to go along with the new engine. I bought those as I was told it was highly recommended as if anything happened while putting the engine in the cost of the damaged hose or piece would not be covered and I would have to pay for it. I reiterated if your staff damages a hose and I dont buy the hose kit I would be responsible now for the damage? I was told yes. With that I bought the $400 hose kit to go alone with new engine. I wanted no more issues. I was called a week later and had to go back in. A recall, clock spring. Hyundai replaced clock spring. Got the car back and two days later called back and said when I dropped my veloster off the air conditioner worked. Its been two days and it wont work? Whats wrong with this picture? I called in and was advised that as vehicles get older certain maintenance issues are expected to pop up. I said my car is a 2013, and if it worked when I brought it in and Hyundai only had my cat for a few hours it should work when I got it back. I asked to talk to service manager. I explained the same thing to him saying my car has been in there three times this month and my air conditioner worked when I brought in. I also asked the manager are you telling me that I should only expect Hyundai cars to last for me for under 8 years? I had car in for service issue, Hyundai fixed. Two days later car wont start. Told its my engine its shot. They fix engine. Then Im called 5 days later that there was a recall on clock spring. Took in for that. After all said and done was happy I got my car back to quickly notice next day air conditioner wont work. After sharing all that with srvc manager I was told if I didnt feel comfortable with Hyundai I didnt need to be there and could go somewhere else. In short my car is NOT old, still a baby and the engine has failed, the clock spring recalled and Im told my air conditioner that was just working lived out its lifetime. I wish Hyundai stood behind all their product.
I Dropped off my car for a recall. Complimentary car wash and inspection was added on that I did not ask for. I asked since you are doing a complimentary inspection could you pay special attention to the steering wheel because it clunks. Service writer said they know about a coupler that goes bad in the column. He said what the problem was even before taking the car from me. When I picked up car I was charged an hour to confirm that the coupler was bad, when it was supposed to be a complimentary inspection. A whole hour just to confirm a clunk when turning the wheel, $160. I WAS NOT TOLD their would be a extra charge for this. It turns out the clunk is another major recall, the mdps coupler that is a well known problem. The car was not disassembled to inspect the coupler. Seems a little ridiculous to charge a whole hour when no labor was involved. Then I was told the spark plugs are fouled. The car starts and runs great gets 32 mpg and the spark plugs are fouled? Hyundai’s book says change of spark plugs recommended at 100,000. The picture in the paper work I was given shows a spark plug with a normal whitish gray burn pattern, not a dark blackish wet plug like a fouled plug would have. I was also told and in the paperwork that the transmission oil is dirty / burnt smelling. When I checked the transmission oil myself it is a clear pinkish red like any acceptable transmission oil would be for a car with only 77,000 miles on it and it hardly has any smell to it at all, just the normal ATF smell. Obviously the service department in Carson City is trying to sell a lot of unneeded services to the unsuspecting public. Overall I am very dissatisfied and disgusted at the service received. I paid the bill because I was in shock at being charged $160 for the added on complimentary? services and did not know what to do at the time. I am extremely dissatisfied at having been inconvenienced at having to bring the car in for one recall already because the car wasnt designed very well, and then on top of that I was charged for an item that was to be noted on the “complimentary”? inspection. Another recall because Hyundai has so many build issues. I believe this is very dishonest.
Been to Carson Hyundai twice in the last two months they were nice till they figure out the finance end of it was a little trucky then they just give up and there attitude changes real quick. The first time they told me to work on some stuff so I did the second time they took all my info talked for no more then ten min and said there wasnt anything they could do. Not a good experience at all dont make the drive. I will spend the extra in reno so I dont have to deal with these people anymore wish customer service still mattered.

I purchased a car about 6 months ago, and regret ever going to huyndai. I implore anyone who is thinking about going to Carson City Hyundai donot ever go and deal with John Napoleon. He us very intimidating and threatening. My car had a defect upon a test drive, which I presented to the owner and it was not covered on my extended warranty, and he threatened that if I didnt pay for the part, I wasnt allowed to ever go back to that dealership. He also told me he wanted me to give him 5 stars and he wouldnt give me the mechanics report either. I would give him 0 stars if I could. Thank you. I had a wonderful experience here on 1-11-20. First time ever on purchasing a brand new of the year SUV. Rich Perkins was my guy. Very nice and knew all the bells and whistles the car came with. He was never pushy or trying to upsell me. Just straight facts and very helpful. Larry Satica helped with the numbers and was upfront, no BS, and also knew what he was doing. And since this is my biggest purchase I wanted to make sure I was truly ready and they even suggested we go have some breakfast at Peggs and think about it. Thats when I felt better because I know they believed in their product because they wouldve tried some BS like others. So I came back and bought a new car yes people a brand new 2020 Santa Fe with only 22 miles!!! Look at God!! Thank you guys for making my dream come true. And while I was waiting for paperwork, we watch the 49ners and Bret Riggs the general sales manager came over and made us feel welcomed and reassured. Typical sleazy car dealership. The salesman was a joke, and Brett the sales manager would probably have a successful career at the circus due to being a complete clown. Talk about an inferiority complex with something to prove. People like Brett are what give car salesmen a bad reputation. Save yourself the clown show and buy private party.
Do not take your Hyundai to this dealership for recalls or repairs!!! My engine seized near Fallon, Nevada, so I had it towed to Carson Hyundai. The engine was covered under warranty, so they replaced it. Suddenly I had ruined lower control arms and passenger sway bar end link, that would cost over $1000 to replace. There were no issues with these suspension parts prior to the engine issues so we knew something was fishy. We declined to have them replaced, and opted to have a local mechanic look it over, and they assured us we could pick up the car and drive it home safely. We went to pick up the car (4 hours away from home) and it was knocking so bad that we had to leave it there. They said they would look into it. That type of wear does not happen overnight! When I talked to the service manager, Dan Napoleon, (Owners nephew) he told me that it was the suspension parts, that they were just worn out, and the mechanic didnt have to touch the suspension parts when they replaced the engine (lie). I told him there was no way and that I would not be having them touch the car anymore. He was very defensive and rude. He told me he closed out the repair and I needed to get it off of their lot or I would have to pay storage fees. Having the car so far away and working full time, it was difficult to get to the dealership to check, so after incurring $160 in storage fees, plus the gas and time the first time making an 8 hour round trip, we had it towed back home. Turns out they did disturb the suspension, they took the subframe out, put in new cotter pins, and they didnt tighten the parts back up properly, or do an alignment, so I had to pay another $145 to have this done. I called the service department several times and left messages, never got a call back. I paid over $400 for their mistake and was ignored because they couldnt get any more money out of me. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR REPAIRS! Lithia Hyundai of Reno is amazing, I should have had it towed there instead.

Had a terrible experience here. Car was brought in for warranty service but when it was delivered, all of my items had been stolen out of the car. The service manager instead of conducting an investigation, said that none of my items were never in the car. Because of this, corporate was unwilling to help me further.Instead of helping me through this, they have decided to end the investigation all together. The value of items was not significant, so Im not sure why someone would lie about something of such small value. (We actually have the receipts for everything too) Im not accusing them of actually stealing my items, but instead unwilling to help resolve the case in the event it could have been the tow truck company, a shady employee, or a homeless person that stumbled on the lot.Ive never had this kind of customer experience in my life when buying a brand new car, and I feel let down by Hyundai. Please reconsider servicing your car here.

When your car breaks down and the roadside assistance that they offer is going to leave you stranded on the side of the freeway was just the beginning. After that dealing with this dealership has been my worst experience with a dealership yet.When your car is under 6 months old and has less than 7000 miles on it and brakes down I would expect phenomenal service, but instead get treated like it’s your fault you bought a car that has problems.

If I was allowed to vote zero or negative, I would.Do not get any major repairs done here!My daughters engine developed a knock in it, of which she was told the engine needed to be replaced. $6000 and 4 weeks later, she got her car back with a supposedly rebuilt engine installed.Fast forward 10 months, and the same thing happens. Engine develops a knock and upon inspection, it is determined that the engine needs to be replaced. Took it back to Carson City Hyundai and they informed us that they could do nothing about it since the supposedly changed ownership and the engine installed was provided by a third party. Contacting Hyundai customer relations yielded nothing but a rude customer service representative. It is very apparent that Hyundai and their dealers do not stand behind their cars or their service.Highly recommend avoiding purchasing a Hyundai or getting your car serviced there unless you purchase a good extended warranty as well. You will more than likely be disappointed in your purchase.
Had a deal with these folks. There was a clerical error that nobody saw.When I went in to fix the error or find out how to fix it, 3 cars blocked me in after the Manager accused me of fraud. Mind you, I had been back to the dealer 3 times, and was in regular contact with the salesperson.The Manager was going to leave me stranded there with no car, and without my down payment, saying I was hostile... Which I was not, I simply stated facts, and was understandably frustrated by the situation, even admitting that I had not caught the error myself.These guys will let you drive off thinking you have a deal... When you dont actually have a deal. Beware.Edit: Also, its quite interesting that I got a better deal at another, bigger dealer, on a better car, with less down, lower rate, etc. Here I was thinking initially that these folks were trying to help me out... When they were actually trying to take advantage of me.Dont be fooled by the Hyundai logos, location on auto row and such like I was... This is just another fly by night, shady operation akin to the If you have a job, we can get you a car! Dealerships dotting the area.
Not the service I expected to experience. I am a new Genesis/ Hyundai owner and I am not sure Id return to this dealership. I presented a coupon for my oil change, one I got home I realized that it wasnt applied. It took over an hour and a half for a oil change.

One of our chains had broken so we needed a place to take them off. The dealership was the closest, well-lit place we saw so we pulled in. Shortly after we got the first tire’s chains off two men walked out of the office and asked if we needed help. We were relieved as we were having a hard time with the second set. We said, “yes please! That would be great”! The man replied, “well if you would just move your car to anywhere else but here that would be great. We have customers who need to come in and out of our lot and your van is in the way”. Again I repeat: it was snowing—there was no one in the lot. We were two women with two children in the car. We parked close to the front of the lobby (near the light) and there was plenty of room for the invisible customers to get around us. We thanked the men for being so helpful and went to O’Riley auto shop which allowed us to use their light. It is so disheartening when people treat others like they’re garbage. Find another place to buy your vehicle this place doesn’t deserve your money.
They stole from me. I took my car there for repairs after an accident and I had left 2 necklaces that I bought for my little sister. After getting my car back, the necklaces magically disappeared. What A holes. Dont leave any thing valuable in ur car or trust these criminals

Just took my 2018 in for its second service and had a vastly different experience than the first time.Staff went above and beyond to get everything handled in a timely manner and were friendly and attentive during my 1.5 hour visit. Minimal upsell efforts were made and the one that I approved had the need demonstrated at the time of the recommendation.
Beware of spot delivery scam!! They will push your loan through and say all is well and then let you take the car only to say your loan isnt approved and raise your interest and car payment. Turned what I thought was a great experience into the worst car experience ever. Definitely dont recommend this shady company.

My car is running much smoother and I am getting better gas mileage. Took it in for an oil change before a long trip to Mexico and the guys made sure everything was in working order. They were so helpful and super sweet. Will Chabino helped me by making sure I understood what needed to be repaired before my trip and Dan Cannoy was the mechanic who serviced my car. I really appreciate all that they do there. I am a very picky customer and high maintenance. The courtesy driver was also very patient with me when I needed to take a bunch of stuff all 3 times he had to drive me around. I do not ever take my car anywhere else. I know my car is in good hands when I go in!

Got a fantastic car from them but my experience with this was horrendous.They were friendly, dont get me wrong, but only addressed my husband. The car we were shopping for was for me. The entire time we were looking at the car, I was put off and ignored. When we actually bought MY car, which we had mention numerous times, they offered my husband the keys and asked if he would be driving, again ignoring my presence. The whole shopping experience felt so sexist. If it wasnt the car I was looking for with a great price, we would have taken our business elsewhere.
