Was a good place but the website will not let you buy a bigger tire even though it will fit on my truck due to a lift. The tire was only 1 larger than their website would allow. Tried to call these guys 3x 15 mins on hold each time and only once did someone pick up the phone only to put it back on hold without saying anything. Customer service is a joke here go somewhere else.

They took care of me and went the extra mile. Allen and Jon took great care of me and I will continue to come back to Discount Tire

Worst customer service of all the Discount Tire Stores Ive been to. Ive spent thousands of dollars and couldnt get a simple Tire rotation done on time with appointment. Im gonna think twice before shopping at any of Discounts Stores. May also give up two Discount Credit Cards.

So I set everything up online. It took about 10 minutes after I checked in to get my car in. It went really fast because they all helped if they had nothing to do. Great job people!

They are busy and the staff is incredible at multi tasking. The phone is ringing off the hook, a couple people in line and Jon at the front desk makes sure to get to everything all while making sure everyone is left with have a great day. Very professional and just great service. I feel like you cant beat good service these days. Thanks guys I will be recommending you to all my family and friends!

After about 20 years, Im done with Discount Tire because of their Carson City, NV store. I started out with Americas Tires in Northern California and have bought numerous sets of tires from them. I even bought hazard insurance from them for my wifes new RAV4. I couldnt with my new 2020 Ram because I was stuck in the hospital for an extended period of time. I recently went in to see about a rotation and balance for my truck, and Jon, a nice guy, said he could only do a free rotation which they did. They even replaced a hubcap that fell off on the way home. A couple of days later, I got an email coupon for a free rotation and balance, so I made an appointment for today.When I arrived for my appointment, the man waiting on me said they couldnt do a balance because I didnt buy the tires from them. He didnt care about the fact that I had a coupon in my hand, and that all of my vehicles were listed with them. If I ever go to Discount Tire / Americas tire again, it will be for the road hazard insurance on my wifes car, and It certainly will not be at the Carson City, NV store. Its really too bad as I always thought it was a good company.

This place is the best for discounted tires; but not the best for people who respect your vehicle. Ive got a classic car with the original hubcaps that are $80 per hubcap to replace. And Im watching their technician sit on the grown and begin to kick my hubcaps back into place on the rim when he was done placing the tires back on the car. Seriously; just using the heals of his shoes to just pound into my $80 hubcaps to get them back on the rim. And he did such a poor job one of the hubcaps came off a block later. Seriously. If you dont care for each car as it it is your own, youre no different than so many other auto maintenance locations that have given the automotive maintenance industry a very bad reputation. Set yourselves apart and care about your clients and your clients cars.

A friend bought his brand new tires there prior. We stopped this time because a tire looked low & sensor was alerting.Even though we went for something to eat, we ended up being there upwards of 3 hours, along with the fact that another woman arrived late for an appointment ended up getting all 4 tires changed and still left before us. (at quitting time?)I can see both sides of the business (and have), but 3 hours seems like a LONG time after all of that and still needing to take care of other business. If I had known could have planned differently.

This place is understaffed for how busy are, phones hardly get answered because there’s normally only one person up front, which I would chalk up to being poorly managed by whomever the owner of this location is. Otherwise the employees are friendly and work hard, just need more staff to cover how busy it is here.

I travel for work and use Discount Tire (American Tire) because the ease of use nationwide. I stopped to have valve stems put in new wheels for a utv. One of the techs attempted to put one in and told me they dont go in all the way that the tire pressure will hold them in. I called bs and went to another local shop to have them put in correctly. I worked at Discount Tire in High School, obviously their core values and customer service are not the standard they use to be.

Everyone is nice.But it takes days to get tires rotated and balanced. Over a week to make an appointment.Unfortunately I will not buy tires here again due to follow up service . Or lack there of.

Was told be here @ 2pm for a tire rotation… showed up, and was told it would take 2hrs…. OK… the family, and i go for a walk for a couple of hours only to return to discover that our vehicle had yet to be touched! Back to the dealer… smh!!!

I left a tire on a rim with a slow leak to them last Thursday, I received a text at about 5pm that day saying it was ready to be picked up. I went to pick it up Monday morning and the person getting the tire noticed that it was flat. The leak was in the sidewall, they said they could put a new tire on it in about 20 minutes, I said I needed to go to Lowes and would be back in about 20 minutes, I returned about 35 minutes later and they hadnt even started on the tire, they said after they finished a BMW they would start on mine. I took the tire to a different tire store.

Great customer service, professional employees, very clean facility, the crew that was working when I showed up to have some tires mounted were very proficient and courteous. Had a walk-in appointment that I made the day before. Said they could get me in but I would have a three hour wait. I show up the next day for the appointment and was told I would have to wait until 4or5 pm. It was 9am. So I bailed and went down the street and was taken care of with only and hour wait. I am in a situation that does not allow me to drop my vehicle off for a whole day.

They refused to put my car back together they way I brought it to them. I purchased my previous tires at this exact same location, no issues. No one could explain to me why they wouldnt do it this time. I believe they were giving me a hard time because I was 10 minutes late, childish at best.

Tires had less than 28000 miles and didnt replace under warranty after was told all we had to pay was road hazard on new tires was charged over $1100. Last time I buy from Discount tires.

They have been rude on the phone EVERY TIME I have called there. Tried to get tires there last June but they took over 2 weeks so I had to cancel the order. Of course they gave me grief for canceling an order and not wanting to pay the “restock fee”. Thought I would give them another try since they carry the summer tires for my new car. Big mistake. They once again, Nick or Chris I can’t remember, was extremely rude on the phone. Was on hold for 15 minutes with no apologize for the wait and he hung up the phone without saying goodbye!! Might as well go to les schwab and have a higher quality service!!

Nah I ordered tires 3 weeks ago and went to my appointment and wasnt told until I got there that the tires hadnt come in yet. And they would call when they came in. A week later I called and was told they came in but they couldnt find them. Then a week later they called Friday and said they was supposed to come in Monday and they would call once they got them. No call on Monday and come Tuesday still no call and I got a text they cancelled my order and would be refunded. NEVER AGAIN! Will I waste my time with them in Carson city Nv

They go over and above to insure customer satisfaction. Current rebate is $50 visa debt card if you purchase $250 at Discount Tire. I bought $280 of TPMS sensors. Rebate was disapoved program administrator because it wasnt tires or wheels purchased. Store manager credited back to my Credit Card $50 because they promised that rebate as part of the transaction! What a company! 😊

Was not happy by the way thay treated me on the phone and in person about trying to get a tire replaced when I thay finally got the replacement thay scratch the custom rim and didnt even care that it was done when thay had the rim and tire for days so I would not even come back to them for anything the person on the phone was rude I was not happy with this place

Very friendly staff, timely service with an appointment, work is done promptly. They politely greet everyone who walks through the door. I only use Discount Tire or Americas Tire for all of my vehicles for years and they have good prices and excellent service.

I stopped here first in my tire search and they could get the tire I wanted but the price seemed a bit high, but I set the next available appointment anyway since it was 4 days away. When I got home I checked another local store and found the same set of 4 tires with a 4 wheel alignment for $50 less than they were quoting for just the tires.I called back within an hour of setting the appointment they gave me a hard time and a bit of a guilt trip about cancelling. The sales person made a vague reference that their offer is different because it includes a 100% guarantee (there was no attempt to explain what that is), but without that coverage hi gave me a new price that I was not presented as an option originally. After telling me his tale of woe about having to cancel the tire order from the warehouse, I insisted he cancel the order anyway. I still need the alignment, Id rather do it all in one stop, the total through the other company was still less, and they were able to get the job done in 2 days rather than 4.Thats when the Discount Tire rep said I should have gotten a deposit on this.On a positive note, this exchange happened during COVID-19 and they had a greeter sitting on the sidewalk as car entered to instruct customers how to do their transaction without leaving their cars. The process was good and the greeter very nice, but I did feel a bit bad for him sitting in the sun without even an umbrella to help keep the August noon day sun off him.

The whole crew here was thorough and went above and beyond with a tire rotation and balancing. They stopped to check something small that seemed out of the norm which I wouldn’t expect a shop to even catch in the first place. I am a nice customer but also picky so I know it can be a pain and these guys all shined. Appreciate it which is why I’m taking the time to write a review which is rare for me. Buying tires from DT is a no brainer with the service that’s included.

I love this place its good place to work

Super slow service. We come in at 2:30PM, walk in and a guy told us to come back at 4 PM, what we did, then we’ve waited until 5:00PM. They balanced the tires, but that was the longes wait ever. Two hours and a half, waiting outside on a 90F sun, with no shade and they wont let you in, because of the COVID19 Pandemic.

Been here a number of times in the last 8 months. When you have an appointment, the wait times are within reason. When you dont, you can write a novel while awaiting to be served. This location is very much understaffed. Only been here once where it seemed they had enough help. So, needless to say, there is a lot of waiting when no appt and it can take a while to even get you logged in too. DMV like. However, heres the good thing, they take care of the free air quickly and the last tech fixed a severe balancing issue on my saab that another discount tire location created, so Im very happy about that! Additionally, even though theyre understaffed, they still try to have that helpful and courteous attitude that discount is known for. Thats why I keep going back.

Bought 4 New Michellin tires here. Overall good experience. They seem to be busy all the time, which is good indicator people find good value in their service.

Got a call to go out of state for a 3 month work assignment. It was short notice. I had been planning on getting tires this May but needed them now seeing I am driving 1500 miles to the job. I found tires I was interested in on Discount Tire website. The website said order to day, available tomorrow. Ordered the tires March 26. It is now Thursday, March 28.....nobody at Discount Tire in Carson City can tell me where my tires are or even when they will arrive at the store in Carson. I have to leave for Kansas on Wednesday. I can NOT afford to deal with people like this. DO NOT use their website.....it LIES!!!!!!! If the tire you want is not in stock....go elsewhere!!!

Great prices! Manager is nice, but needs better help. Darn it if they cant do anything correctly. Last time I asked them to rotate tires I paid to dispose of the old summer tires and everything, waited waited waited, finally done asked again. You took off the old tires, disposed of them and the extra rims are in the bed right? Instead of actually checking or asking the guy who did the work he looks at the order! Says yeah they should be. *No $hite Sherlock. I helped you right the order I know what is says. Of course get to the truck, no the rims are not in there. Find them in the yard. They have not even taken the old tires off the rims yet and I get to keep on waiting then load them myself.

Not happy with the service i didnt get a few weeks ago. I have purchased numerous sets of tires in the past 6 yrs or so but when i bought 4 tires for my pu trk and paid for road hazard insurance i had a problem when i ran over some debris in the roadway and ruined 2 of the tires on my pu. When i went to the tire store for replacement of the 2 tires i was basically put on the back burner so to speak and after sitting in the hot sun for several hrs i had enough of waiting in the heat and i drovr back to my home in yerington. I then called the next day to hopefully get the problem taken care of but still couldnt get any datisfaction so i will be buying my tires somewhere else. It seems that when the tire reps knew that my tire fix wasnt gonna make the shop any money then they werent interested in assisting me with my problem

The staff is small but they are always working hard to make my visit go by smoothly with the toddlers. Waited 30 minutes for a tire rotation! Not bad at all! Though if youre going to be on a time crunch, call ahead and make an appointment. Its nice to see the same faces too. Good retention!

Ohhh no...walking out of a local box store at closing on a Sunday only to find our back passenger tire flat to the rim. The local store was kind enough to assist us by putting our spare on instead of calling for a tow home. Fast forward to Monday morning search online to verify what time Discount Tires opens to find Make an Appointment available with flat tire as an option. Did the clouds part, stars align and...wait Im getting ahead of myself LOLNow where was I...oh yes, appointment booked, then called when they opened spoke to Jon who was set my mind at ease with not only my appointment being set, but our tires were in stock just in case anddd our original purchase was in their system showing our warranty on the tires.Went to my scheduled appointment met with Jon showed him tire, no damage to the rim, the lovely spare that was currently on the car and explained what happened...pesky screw in the tire...darn it!! The staff repaired the tire, rotated the tires, reset the low pressure warning lights, went over everything they did to include reassuring me that the tire was good to go for the remainder of the life of the tire/warranty. All this during my lunch break added bonus no charge because it was covered under our original purchase. Thanks to the friendly staff and Discount Tires!!

Very good price, outstanding service they gave me all the time I wanted to look at different rims and tires, were more than happy to answer all my stupid questions and there was never any pressure to buy. A week later I found they have an excellent warranty, no questions asked the tire was obviously abused, no problem replaced free of charge. I could not be happier with any part of the experience. Its the only place I will buy tires.

On a busy Friday afternoon the tire pressure warning light went on; turns out to be a big screw in the RR. Went by Discount Tire (busy place on Friday afternoon). They got me in and fixed the tire properly and did it in record time even. And the price was Super Right!! Great Guys

This is going to be my last set of tires from Discount Tire. I’ve been so unhappy with the Carson Store that I’ve started ordering directly from the website and having tires shipped to me. This last set I bought wheels and tires. First the balancing was off when they arrived and the Carson Store couldn’t get my truck in for 3 days. And when they finally did get it in, it took them over 4 hours to get to my truck even though I had an “appointment”. Then today I walk out and see a big staple on my tire. I drive up, there is 2 other customers and 1 truck in the bay and they store manager told me i needed to leave my truck there for 6 hours because they were so busy. I went across the street it Les Scwab and they had me in and out of there on last then 40 minutes and kept apologizing because it took so long. I’m bummed that the local discount tire can’t seem to get their act together but can’t justify paying for tire certificates that they can never backup anyway.

I ordered tires for my truck here. I waited a week until they arrived. I went to have them installed and noticed they ordered the wrong size. No apology, they just tried to sell me another brand in stock. I had them re order the correct brand and size and had them installed a week later. Good prices and selection, so so for the service aspect.

Ok so I realize that getting snow tires the morning of the first snowstorm of the seasonIs going to be hectic. We ordered the tires in advance and were there when they opened in the morning. We were told to plan on 2 hours, 2.5 hours to be safe.. it was over 5 hours.

Staff are nice and friendly. But the real attractions are the value for money tires. Grab them when they go for double rebates (manufacturer & discount tire credit card combo).

Always smiling and very knowledgeable. Ive never seen a tire company train their employees so thoroughly on tires. They beat Les swaub, big O tire and any others in town. Id trust them over any other company. Even if you find cheaper tires else where they will always price match. One thing I love about the company.

They were amazing! I could only afford 2 tires for my Ford around Christmas time and because all of them were balding they just replaced them all for the price of two. They were super nice and I would recommend them to everyone! Brad was such a sweetheart. Going back again to get my tires rotated and to replace another tire for another vehicle.
