A friend recommended this place and I’m really glad he did. I had to have a few odds and ends repaired and get a tune up. My truck was fixed and ready promptly and they even threw in a free oil change! The price was fair and they did shop around for the most affordable parts before doing the work. Very pleased with the whole experience!

Highly recommend! Took my truck to the local dealership and was told I needed a bunch of work done. I felt like I needed a second opinion so I took it over there. None of it was needed. They took care of the issues and I have now found our new shop.

Had battery light on, but battery was fairly new. Dropped car off around noon, by 2 they had diagnosed and given me an estimate. Car was ready 1st thing in the morning. Replaced the alternator. Nice people and very efficient. Will go back.

I went to this shop after experiencing a phantom stalling that my car was experiencing. I say phantom because it wasnt consistent, but the guys down at this shop worked with me to lock on the issue and repair it. The services are second to none including the top notch customer service. Everyone was polite and understanding throughout the entire process! I cannot thank them enough for getting me back on the road!

What an amazing company. As most know it’s hard to find a decent and honest mechanic. Steve was so wonderful. My wheel lug nuts had broken off and another place couldnt get them out. He got them out without a problem. Went ahead and got my breaks done gave me a discount with all the work I had to get done. So with that was great pricing. My part came in from Napa the next morning. He was ready to put them on when I arrived with a smile and a friendly good morning. I ask if he could put in a tail light that I had out. He sure did, I ask him how much for the light and putting it in. He said no charge. WOW just WOW. Amazed me all the way around. I watched how Steve worked with other customers coming in and with each one he was fantastic, knowledgeable and friendly. The waiting room was clean with complimentary coffee, drinks and snacks, and a plus he let me pick the channel of the TV. :) He has my business all the way around and I will be recommending him to everyone.

Needed the AC compressor changed in my 2011 Nissan Altima. Steve called my right back with a very fair quote. After that he suggested that I call the shop that did the work and see if I can get a warrantied repair. He was really busy when he took my call and took time out of his day to help me. The team at Hickory Flat Highway Automotive is professional and thorough. I have taken my car there several times and I have never been disappointed. They are now my one and only auto repair shop. I once had the misfortune of having to have my car towed to their business in the middle of the night. They were on it first thing in the morning. They didnt make me wait for days, unlike some other shops. If they have to order parts, they are usually there the same day, and they always finish any repair in a timely manner. Their prices are very fair. If the repair made requires a follow up visit, it is often free of charge, unless something new is found. Their follow up is impeccable. I always get a courtesy call from Leonard Boone making sure that any repairs are up to standard and that all of my concerns have been addressed. On the off chance that you need to leave your car for any length of time, they will give you a ride/pick you up, if necessary, depending upon your location. The waiting area is clean and comfortable, as is the restroom, and the staff is friendly and courteous. Plus, they have extended hours and can often be counted on when everyone else has left for the day, or the weekend. And who doesnt want to support a local, family-run business?

I had a need for a roof repair and tile to be laid and hardwood floor to be repaired in which I had Beltane Construction do all the work. I must say they did a GREAT job on schedule, it was a pleasure to have so much done on time and a very reasonable price. I am planning to use them again in the near future.

Hickory Flat did a thorough check of a used car I purchased. They fixed the few issues it had. I would use them again for any service work needed as they are reliable, trustworthy, prompt and stay with the price quoted for the work done.

Good mechanics and fair pricing. Although the front officer works slowly and a bit inefficiently. They might forget to call you back if you ask for a quote, but be persistent because they know their trade.

These guys were great. Im in the military, live in Canton, drill in Florida. One weekend I borrowed my husbands car and noticed the cigarette lighter didnt work which i needed to use my GPS. On my way out of Canton I stopped by to see if there was ANY possible way to have it looked at/worked on because my phone was going to die and I would also have no GPS....Within 45 minutes it was working, and I was on my way. I was SO thankful they were able to squeeze me in on such a short notice. Great guys...great owner. Thank you!!

Did a great job getting plugs out of a 06 F150 with the 5.4 3 valve Triton engine and replaced a bad coil with a transmission and rear differential service at a fair price, great warranty and a customer service oriented attitude.

Untrustworthy/Very Poor Customer service.... Clearly I was not a valued customer. I Had work done by them only to turn around and find out they did not do the job properly. Then had The audacity to lie to my face and tell me it was something else that my vehicle doesnt even have. DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP! There are better shops in the area that are honest and can do the work properly while not cutting corners at your exspence.

Family owned and operated auto repair shop. Very organized, polite, and called later to explain everything in detail before proceding.

I just called this place to see if they could do an emissions test for me and the man who answered the just yelled NO at me and hung up. What person in their right mind just blurts out NO! at their customers and expects us to continue business with them. I, for certain, will not be doing business here ever again, and I dont see why anyone would after being treated so disrespectfully.

Leonard and staff are always polite and honest. I do most my own repairs, but I send my mother to them knowing that they only recommend necessary repairs and do not try to get her to replace parts that are in good working order unlike the local dealership.

After a defective manufacturers part caused catastrophic engine damage the Hickory team took care of the problem (new engine) and made the car whole again with no cost to my mother. In this day and age that level of service and commitment is uncommon if not nonexistent. On a separate occasion my vehicle had a bad transmission, or so I thought, and I was ready to buy a rebuilt for $2500. Leonard said give it to me for a day and it turns out it was a bad transmission sensor which was replaced for a few hundred dollars. A dealership wanted to sell me a new tranny. Simply honest hard working people. Ill take our cars here until they decide to retire.

The service and professionalism at Hickory Flat Automotive is second to none. My 227,000 mile pickup, which at this point in its life is held together by duct tape, dirt, and love, will never be trusted with anyone else.

I trust them to do what is needed for my vehicle and advise me only when additional items are required for my safety. Vehicle emissions inspection, quick and easy, spotlessly clean shop. My car is a hybrid and gives other emissions inspection stations a hard time when the technician is not familiar with them.

Charged me almost $100 just to diagnose my truck. Then came back with a $2000 quote that I had done somewhere else for $600. Go somewhere else.

Do not go here if you can help it. And if you cant help it, make sure you call someone else before you discuss anything or agree to pay anything.When you are sitting in their squatting room, its certainly not spacious or professional, you will be subject to listening to the office help talk about their personal and financial issues.Listening to that does not help your impression of this business when you are charged according to what a book says the labor will cost. Example: According to this book your mechanical issue will cost 450 dollars and X amount of time to fix, but because we are nice people we will still charge you 450 dollars but we will have two mechanics do the work in half the time.They also mark up the parts they will fix your problem with by 10-20%...if you point this out they will argue about how they have to mark up their parts so that they can afford to order/process them. There are part stores less than a mile down the road and even though I understand business and how convenience costs money I, the customer, dont appreciate having their parts processing business fees/expenses being passed off to me.the customer.Dont even bother calling to ask for an estimate. I have called in desperation to see if I would have a more pleasant and affordable experience and consistently receive estimates that I can call someone else and find something alot more affordable and professional by at least 20% if not half. This is probably because they charge according to what a book says the job should cost, not what it actually cost.Something else I noticed, while sitting in their squatting room and listening to the office help talk about their personal problems, there were people there who had already had there car serviced and paid for their service and had to bring their car back because whatever was done, did not fix the problem. One of those individuals who had to bring their auto back, was asked to pay additional money because the original diagnosis and fix, did not fix the problem.Lastly, if you try to discuss your dissatisfaction dont be surprised when they act unsympathetic and tell you that they dont sell ice cream.
