Family owned. I cannot stress enough the importance of supporting your local family owned business. It’s a Father and Son deal when you enter and they are so amazingly friendly happy always go out of there if need be to help you solve your problem. In the heart of Inman sq. You can hit the bank go to get your stamps at the post office eat at the S&S then see the 2 handsome gentleman that own and work at Inman hardware. They have it all. You need car/keep keys with the chip have no fear boom in a instant if it isn’t (busy and that place gets busy) it’s done in 1-2-3 house keys, masks, gloves (reasonable $). It’s my go to. It’s huge inside ceiling to floor peel and stick screen replacements. I tell you these guys can do anything also they pretty much have it all too.
I live about 500 feet from the Benjamin Moore supply store in Cambridge however, I would rather drive a little further to go to Inman Square Hardware. The guys in there are always so nice, whether its helping me make wooden and PVC dowells to keep a wi dow shut or making keys or just answering my questions about blinds, they are just so friendly and make you feel at ease...and they dont follow you around when you walk aimlessly up and down the aisles ten times like I usually do, looking for something that I may or may not need! I will continue to support them!
The lady behind the counter is extremely helpful and kind. Highly recommend!
This is a great store. Owned and staffed by multiple generations of the same family. Their help has saved me lots and lots of $$ and theyve solved every problem Ive brought to them. Dont worry about the compact footprint - they stock EVERYTHING, just ask and theyll bring it to you.
Staff is the most helpful and knowledgeable of any hardware store Ive ever been.
Very helpful friendly staff.
Well-stocked local store with helpful employees. Youll likely find what youre looking for.
I frantically ran here this morning in search of small round batteries for my garage opener, which died right before I had to leave for work. I called ahead to make sure they had the batteries and the gentleman I spoke to was soooo nice. They were super helpful in store too. I’ll definitely be coming back!!! Thank you!!!!!
One of the best hardware storeIf not the best.people are so friendly and helpful at the same time.when ever I step in the door its hellow my friend, its so good to see you, and always ready to answer all my questions, ***** 5 stars all the way.Greg
Always helped immediately and they usually always have and know where it is right away
Amazing store. The staff here is extremely nice and knows their stuff!!! Prices are a little high but its a wash with how you are treated.
Theres an incredible amount of stuff packed in here. Great people too
Amazing. I was in urgent need of some things and the owner took the time to help me. Treated me like I was the most important customer. I asked him how long he had been in business and he said 45 years and I cant believe it. Well I sure can, hands down best experience in any hardware store. Thanks again!!
My trusty local store. Its amazing how this inconspicuous store houses EVERYTHING you may ever need from a hardware store--and more!
Great old style hard ware store in the 21st century knowledgeable and pleasant staff family owned.
Great staff, family owned, and they have what you need. Highly recommend for your hardware needs!
I recently moved to the area and was delighted by how wonderful the staff were at inman square hardware. They spent over half an hour helping me remove a stripped screw, used several of their own tools, and wouldn’t accept any payment for their time. They are extremely kind people and I will certainly be frequenting this place as my go to hardware store in the future.
Theyre always well stocked and willing to help. I love the place.
Great spot, especially if you need a last-minute DIY piece. I was replacing my sink, and needed a garbage disposal pipe, but didnt know I had to ask for that specifically, I was just going to get a normal PVC section. They staff here set me straight! The piece cost less than $1, too, so its good for your wallet as well.
OMG they are the best!!! And thanks to Kevin he was able to open a lock box I had lost the key to!! I love this place and their amazing customer service!!!
Damn near anything you need for small repairs of any home or rental complete with solid advice. Very, very wide spread of materials. Great custom glass cutting.
Absolutely the best hardware store I have ever been in its a family-run business and they all know what theyre doing if you want real customer service to go there I hate Somerville but the only reason why I like it is because of the customer service in the store
This is an awesome little family-run hardware store where they always have what you need and are willing to help you find it and make various recommendations. They also do the best job of copying keys of any place in the Boston area. The only problem is that the hours make it impossible for anyone who works normal hours to get there any day but Saturday, and if youre busy Saturday...
They got it. Small store large diverse inventory. Awesome location. Very convenient.
Where can I say about mr. Pacheco that mans always singing always in a happy mood its a family-owned business and theyre there for the customers with a smile when a nice joke thank you for your wonderful service for many many years
Best hardware store in town. Has that great old hardware store vibe, and friendly staff that knows where everything is.
Every neighborhood should have a little hardware store like this. It is full to the gills with inventory, but that just means theyre more likely to have what you need. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful at finding whatever item you ask about.
For hard to find hardware, this is the place to go. They carry the small items that you would never get at Home Depot or Lowes. They will also repair a window or a screen for a very reasonable price. Dont expect to find lumber there, but they do carry sheet rock, molding, ladders, plumbing supplies, and some power tools. I cant possibly name all the items they carry, but the list is quite extensive. Everything from small bolts and nuts to garden tools and pick axes. The owner has a great sense of humor and is very helpful if you need advice on a project.
I absolutely love these guys. Some of the friendliest and most helpful employees with here.
Excellent service and good selection best hardware around
A small and well stocked hardware store. With a friendly and welcoming owner
A magical place that miraculously manages to cram everything you could ever possibly need into a space the size of a typical livingroom. Very friendly staff too
Great neighborhood hardware store. went in for dinner plumbing stuff to fix the shower. had it in stock, and cashier was really helpful.
Always cheerful when you come in, always helpful when you have a question or in advising on what you need to buy (or not)
One of the few hardware stores left that has actual hardware, and where the clerks actually understand what Im asking for and where it is in the store.
Door says they close at 6pm. Arrived at 5:55 PM and they were closed. Please respect your own posted hours.
It might not look like it but this is a fantastic hardware store...they have everything...very friendly
A little cramped, but great selection and friendly service.
Extremely friendly and helpful regardless of the size of your purchase.
Professional and respectful. Lots of things to choose as well!
Ever helpful, this place is a boon to the community!
Very personable, and helpful
Always my preference.
They have everything here.
A little cluttered but isnt that what you want at a small hardware shop?
Tiny, crowded with inventory, family owned and operated.
Very helpful
Five stars
