These guys totally ripped off my wife and daughter. They talked them into a ton of stuff insurance didn’t cover. Added a ton of tests that weren’t necessary and then charged my wife almost $900. Tomorrow we’re going to return everything we can and never going back. Don’t go here. They are rip off artists.

I had an appointment in here. It took them HOURS. to even take me back for the scheduled appointment. Then while I was in my appointment the doctor asked me if I wanted my eyes dilated. I said yes and then she took another hour and a half, before I decided to just leave without her checking them. It was my first and last time ever going here.

The automated scheduling service is awful. I dont remember my last appointment date and I have to know it before I can schedule a new one. Thats what I needed. It is useless. How can I talk to a human to find this out? Nancy Robertson. My number is on file.

So we have been going to the Butler Visionworks for 3 years now. Up until this year I was always please. Our children always went to another eye doctor but a month ago we finally decided to bring our kids here. The new lady, Brittany, that does all the measurements and such on the eyes was getting so frustrated with my kids who were not good at holding their eyes open. Her frustration scared them. They she lowered the table without paying attention and smushed my 6 year olds legs and hands. She still wasn’t even friendly after that. Now a month later I am sitting here. She was once again very frustrated as she was using the machine on my eyes. Her tone wasn’t friendly and she just seemed overall annoyed. I will say the actual doctor is extremely nice and so are the ladies in the front who help with glass purchases. But the new red head is not friendly. To top it off she was coughing!

Great first appointment and experience for my aging eyes. The Dr was very thorough in explaining everything. Staff was great in keeping everything clean and sanitized during restrictions due to covid. I dont have another eye exam and visit to compare this one to but I felt comfortable and well taken care of.

Hallie is truly a blessing to this company, yesterday she helped me fast and efficiently, she knew her job well.what a beautiful person inside and out. As she was waiting on me, a older gentlemen walks in ask this co worker if they could match his lenses to a frame,as he broke a leg off, automatically she said no,BUT Hallie said to her hold on Ill help him when Im done, she was willing to try to help him...I left with tears in my eyes at how she was so sweet to him when the coworker clearly didnt either know how to try and match or just didnt want to be bothered. Hallie you rock. I pray the gentleman got frames and the coworker learnt a valuable lesson, go a wee bit further in helping someone you never know when youll need the same treatment.

I will never go to this Visionworks ever again. Im so upset right now. I called because a box of contacts I order were defective. When I say the whole box I mean all six pairs. I literally tried them all and I couldnt see out of them. When I called to see if they could do anything for me. They said I would need to come in for my eye exam because it was close to my year being up. If my vision had not changed then they would order me a new box and pay for it. Well I went in for my new eye exam and my vision did not change at all.I guess I should of had the manager write that in my file because now they are only giving me 3 pairs because there is no way a whole box was defective. Even though I tried them all on I was lying.By the way Ive been wearing contacts since I was in 7th grade and because of my prescription they are freaking expensive even after insurance. so to know that I wasted 6 months worth ofmoney that Im not even going to get back really pisses me off.

I have seen all kind of promotions to get some one in the door. Im old enough to know nothing is free. There is the basic price for a pair of glasses. Problem is when you reach the bi-focal stage, that is DNA. or Does Not Apply.I was so frustrated with some of the stores and upgrades, I almost bought the glasses on line. This store is a big store with a nice inventory of frames. The staff is helpful and seems to know where to find what you want if you can describe it.It was not busy when I went there. I got in and out in a hurry. For what I ordered and the price I got, it was hard to beat. Thanks ladies

We will never go back there again Unprofessional optometrist and very unprofessional people in the front of Store. The glasses were made wrong because the girl at the front did not listen to what the uniqueness of my husbands eyes were. There was a young man in there who did try to straighten out everything after waiting 2 weeks to get his glasses said we would get our glasses quicker because they had to make them over. we finally called two weeks later and they said come in pick him up not even a phone call so unprofessional. We have been getting glasses for 45 years and have never had an experience like this. Service is everything you dont have that youre not going to have a business long get rid of the people who cant do their job.

Bought two pair of glasses, lenses on one had a scratch, replaced for 30.00 the cost of insurance, got another scratch and you can only use your insurance once. Never heard of not guaranteeing your lenses for one year. Will never, ever go back. And no they were not inexpensive either and yes I paid for scratch resistance. Employee told me nothing is 100%, so why did I pay for it???

Very great place and with my insurance I don’t get frames that are Gucci but the brands they carry and lens that go in them are far better then any expensive named brand I have bought in the past honestly. I have had my Tempo frames for a year now with zero issues and no lens scratches other than normal wear and tare. Everyone was friendly and the optometrist did very well doing my exam and my two daughters exams the same day. I would highly recommend them over Walmart as they are terrible at Walmart.

Following an exam the Optometrist told my 28 year-old daughter she had abnormal blood vessel growth consistent with Diabetes (which she does not have), that it was untreatable and would lead to premature blindness. Follow up visits to our family physician and an Ophthalmologist got reactions ranging from shock to outrage. Neither could believe the statements made and her eyes are 100% normal. The Ophthalmologist was particularly outraged by the offering of a prognosis on a condition the Optometrist was unqualified to render.

I was excited to have my exam done locally at Visionworks versus traveling 20 minutes to my opthalmologist at the hospital, however, if I could do it all over again Id just go to my eye doctor. On the day of my appointment everyone employed there was in a mood. It was as if they all thought they should have had the day off possibly. Hardly anyone smiled and they were short when speaking. I noticed the girls at the front were more concerned with their cell phones than asking me if I needed help or if I had questions about the eyewear. I paid for my exam out of pocket that day because they could not file a claim on their computer...they werent able to validate my insurance they said. I said it was fine and Id clear it up first business day of the week.Come that Monday, I called my insurance and everything was fine. They did not know why Visionworks was unable to process the claim. In addition, they called Visionworks while I was on hold and the girl said she had filed the claim that day. So I walked into the store a few minutes after the phone call and politely asked to see the girl (by name) who spoke with my insurance company. She refused to rectify the situation. She was sitting at a contact fitting desk with a customer and spoke to me from there! She was rude, rolled her eyes and didnt think twice about three other customers being in their store! One of the customers shook her head and gave me a look like can you believe her nerve! The manager walked up front and she said Can you handle her?!The manager was very friendly and listened intently to my situation. He effectively filed a claim with my insurance company and refunded my out of pocket payment minus my copay. If this review was based solely on his treatment of me it would be 5 stars. Unfortunately, his poor choice in employee hires has taken this score dramatically down. I will not be purchasing my contacts or glasses from that office. Additionally, my insurance company is very curious as to why the girl so adamantly refused to refund my money and then stated on the phone with them that she filed a claim...FRAUD?

Its hard to give a negative review to an entire business when the only bad part about my visit was the time with the optometrist. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and there is a wide selection of frames from which to choose. Although this is an out-of-network provider for my insurance, they were still able to bill directly. The only slight criticism I have for the staff is the lack of details given when they try to sell you anti-glare or -scratch coatings, upgraded lenses, and other extras. (The price for coating is per lens, not for the entire process.)That said, it wouldnt stop me from going there again or recommending it to others. The treatment by the optometrist would. In fact, if I had met her first, I wouldnt have gotten my glasses there. I believe the issue she had with me is that I chose not to have retinal scanning or dilation, and maybe they get bonuses for selling those. I also only wanted/needed single vision lenses and I think she wanted me to get contacts and then reading glasses. The exam was very rushed, and the first problem I encountered was when she told me to compare the clarity of two sets of letters. After I told her that I thought the second picture was clearer than the first, she asked why I thought so. Because its clearer. She went back a few images and asked the same which is better, A or B question and on the first two, I suppose I answered correctly. On the last she asked if they were about the same and I told her one was clearer than the other. She got really impatient this time and explained that I shouldnt focus on just one letter, but to look at the image as a whole, which I did. She went through them again, and again I chose one to be clearer over the other and she asked me why again. Because its less fuzzy; darker. She again admonished me to not pay attention to color and mumbled through a short spiel about what to look for and again went over the last couple images. This time, although I felt one was clearer, I answered about the same which seemed to satisfy her. The same thing happened with my other eye. She told me my eyesight had changed since my last prescription and again mumbled something about but you probably wouldnt wear them anyway, but I was unclear as to whether she was talking about contacts or reading glasses or bifocals and I felt so rushed that I didnt want to ask her to repeat what she said. It was less of a suggestion and more of a criticism. My glasses will be in in ten days and Ill find out then if I got the right prescription, considering the thorough test I was given. If I do go back there, Ill be sure to ask which O.D. is working there.
