Run away while you can. They miscut the hole for my sink, making it halfway over the dishwasher. So they took that piece away. So now I have no sink and no running water in my kitchen. This has been two weeks now. I get it. Mistakes happen. But I can get no response from the company on any sort of time frame to rectify this. Nothing, despite multiple phone calls and emails. I ordered through Lowe’s. My advice: find a small local company to work on your kitchen. This was a huge mistake that I will never make again. I wish I had a do-over (and a refund). There has been no offer of some money back. More advice: stock up on disposable dishes and cutlery if you plan to have them work on your kitchen. You might not be able to cook or wash dishes for a VERY long time.
Front start to finished product the team at IDC we’re outstanding. I’m kinda a do it yourself and we’ll rounded and experienced in many building / remodeling projects over the years. That being said I’m very picky I see details most people miss. Josh, Alyssa, Brock are a few names that come to mind in my Project from the start they took the time to show me all the countertops I wanted to see. Alyssa has a great eye for colors, Josh helped out with the details and worked hard to get the countertop Alyssa and I picked. The customer service on phone is top notch the customer still comes first at IDC. Brock took the time to show me how the under mount sink would fit after the team cut the opening for it. Everyone worked together to complete my project on time. I know I missed a few names butJessica comes to mind.We will be using them in the future.
Kelly our sales rep was easy to work with. She showed patience with our concerns about keeping our existing backsplash. She was responsive and explained the process to our satisfaction. i would recommend working with her at IDC.
Our new home builder utilized Inspiration Design as its countertop sub contractor. After making our countertop selection (and placing all the specific pieces of Granite and Dekton slabs aside), Inspiration had come out and done their onsite measurements for all kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry countertops in April 2021. Despite having come out plenty early for the measure their inability to put them through production and install them in a timely manner delayed the closing of our new home by 4 weeks - we finally closed on 7/27/21. Despite having closed on the home (very late), Inspiration had not fully finished their job and there were issues with finishes. It is now November 2021 and we still have not received the side/back splashes that are supposed to be around the laundry room sink and there are very significant/noticeable finish issues all around our master bath sink cutouts as well as one spot on our kitchen island. Our builder has contacted them numerous times via email, phone, and even instore and is repeatedly met with non-response/in-action. Unfortunately, it is time to go the legal route! If you are considering utilizing either Inspiration or their parent company Genz-Ryan our advice to you is to run fast and far as they are clearly a very unreputable company with poor management.
The IDC Burnsville showroom has an awesome variety and quality of product. Josh and his team gave us outstanding customer service as he helped us make decisions on type of material and colors for our DIY bathroom remodel. He was patient, knowledgeable, professional and extremely helpful during the whole process. The team double checked measurements with us before the final cut. Josh was very flexible in finding the best remnant to suit our needs and extending completion as our deadline changed. We installed the two countertops ourselves and the end result looks amazing, (still need to install the mirror behind the larger vanity). Highly recommend IDC!
I have worked with many companies over the years, but have never experienced such poor (nonexistent) communication. I was so excited to find the perfect countertop I have been searching for for 2 years - but am now seriously considering canceling my order. Aside from the initial email from my “project manager” asking if I was ready to set up a measure (almost a week after my initial purchase from Lowe’s), I have heard absolutely nothing from my project manager despite sending 2 emails, calling multiple times, and leaving a voicemail requesting a callback. Never once has she picked up her phone or responded to an email over 2 weeks. Instead, I had to call and ask to speak to the person who coordinates scheduling measurements and set up a time myself. I was told by the gentleman who measured the counters on Tuesday morning that I would have plans to approve by the end of the week. Nothing. I even called Lowe’s to see if they had a different contact person at IDC - even though Lowe’s also reached out to their team I have still heard nothing.I understand that people are busy - I totally get it! What I do not understand is the absolute lack of communication from anyone at IDC - even an answer that is disappointing in terms of timeline is still an answer.I am so disappointed because I was so very excited about this - but IDC has made it clear that they do not value customer service or communication by their actions. I cannot even imagine trying to work with them if something went wrong with the install. If you value communication, steer clear of this company.
Ordered through Lowes. Ive called and emailed my agent at IDC for 7 days to try and set up an appointment, to get measurements for my countertops(That are already paid for) with no response. I have called the home office 3 times and they tell me that the head of my region will be calling me, but they never have. Now today they tell me that I will be getting an email tomorrow that will explain everything but couldnt tell me on the phone. Shadiest place I have ever dealt with!Update…. 10 straight days of calling and emailing. The help desk will answer and forward your message but still no response from anyone! It’s almost like they are hoping I’ll just give up
Honestly the worst vendor I have ever worked with in the construction industry. We have used them 3 times, all three times we had issues with them not showing up to scheduled appointments, showing up to the wrong address, not returning phone calls, not returning emails, a three week lead time ended up being over 6 weeks with the final touch up on a crack in the one of the tops being done with the homeowners home. With almost 30k spent on countertops you would think you would receive better customer service. I will never use them again.
Jasper and his coworker did a great job getting my kitchen countertop in. It looks great. Thank you for taking such great care of us!Thank you to Mandy for coordinating all of this too!Would definitely recommend IDC. Wish I knew how to upload a picture.
Not happy with IDC at all. I was initially very impressed by their sales staff, but when we came back to place the order, the discount quoted was only about 50% of what we were told by the sales person. Explanation was that the quote includes the measuring, the sink, the finishing of edges, the cutting - all of which are typically included by others in the cost per square foot. Quote did not itemize anything. Just got the feeling that they were not being honest and transparent regarding pricing and discounts. On this principle, I would never buy there or recommend them to others.
I stopped in yesterday and they wouldnt even talk to me about my needs because my project was too small
We used Inspiration Design as a contractor through a larger chain. We should have done our research. During install, it became apparent that we were going to have an ideal seam directly under our pendant lights (we have very small kitchen and a small work space). The seam is a huge eye sore. The beveled angle where the two pieces butted up together did not match at all and it was sanded down, creating a dip where the two pieces meet. There was a chip in the ideal seam but it was filled with epoxy. Both are within their tolerance but definitely not mine. Ironically both were going to be left alone until I pointed them out during install. The sink was installed six inches from the front of the counter. I am 53 and we have 4 young kids. We have to bend over to use the sink. The counter on either side of the stove is different depths. One side of the stove is flush, the other side is about 1/2 further out. As somebody who is not in the industry or profession, I wrongly assumed that we would be guided to make the best choice for our space. If we needed a different product to be seamless, we should have been told. If we needed a top mount sink instead of an undermount, we should have been told. I realize the customers have the last say, but when not informed and properly educated ahead of time, we were grossly mislead. Additionally, we have bead board under our counters, they sprayed liquid (even though they used paper to protect the bead board) it made it bubble up and that cannot be remedied without removing the counters There are honestly other issues. The customer service since being installed has been appalling. They get back to us when we contact them and they dispute any and all of our concerns with an email. They have done their job and have moved on. We will, too. But not with these counters and not with them.
Was promised to have countertops installed within 4 weeks of measurement . I am now on week 10 and still have no countertops. Even worse you can not get anyone to answer the phone, return voicemails, or emails. If you do get someone on the phone they are clueless and only give you the runaround. Worse experience I have ever had on any purchase. BUYER BEWARE!!!
The workmen were extremely professional, punctual and courteous. They made sure I had an opportunity to ask questions and explained everything I needed to know. I would highly recommend them to anyone doing a countertop project. My kitchen is beautiful!
The Inspiration Design Center once again blew me away. A few years ago they helped me with a complete redesign of my kitchen, turned out amazing. This time around my budget was a little tighter and I’m redoing a bathroom myself. They were able to work with me and supplied me with the vanity top and I installed it myself. When I’m not quite done, it looks great. They are always easy to work with, very happy with my purchase.
Horrible company. Starting from the top down. Do not shop here!!!
We would definitely use Inspiration Design for our next project. They were very professional throughout the process. We sat down and explained our needs and they told us our options. When we decided on a type of countertop, we went into the warehouse and selected the slab we wanted. They then sent someone to our house and they laser measured our kitchen. A short time later, a crew came and installed the countertop. The crew was friendly and proficient in their duties. We also received a followup call to assure our satisfaction. We had no complaints.
Cannot say enough about the whole group down there. We love our new tops. Great staff in the showroom and installers were so nice. I will certainly use them again when we re-do our downstairs
Initially had some problems with the measurements since we were replacing an older quartz countertop. Took longer than expected but was impressed that IDC never suggested i accept anything but a perfect institution. Very satisfied.
Staff was great, Josh and Tori were super informative. The tops look great and the installer gave us information on how to take good care of them. Could not be happier.
Would not recommend to anyone. We went through Lowe’s to purchase our countertops and from the very beginning, I was not impressed. The communication with our “project manager” was extremely poor. I was asking for updates and timelines and got no where. Weeks would go by without any updates about how the process was going. I was told I would be contacted to set up an install date and I was under the impression I would have a choice of what date would work for me. I got an email saying the date was set and the arrival would be between 9am and noon. I had to switch my work around to accommodate. On the day of install, no one had shown up by noon, so I called and no one could help me. My project manager was on vacation and the person filling her role was of zero assistance. No one could tell me why the installers were late. They finally showed up at 2:20. The installers stated we were on their schedule for an arrival time between 11-2:30. I could have worked a full day had I known they weren’t showing up until almost 2:30.The actual install went fine, though they caulked around the edges with “paintable caulk.” When I went to paint, the paint wouldn’t stick to the caulk and kept beading up, so we had to redo the entire caulk job. I emailed the project manager with pictures, stating I was told the caulk was paintable and clearly that wasn’t the case. She asked what kind of paint we used as she then stated it needed to be a primer with latex paint . I sent her the exact paint info from Sherwin Williams, indicating it met those specifications. And that was it. No response, no apology, nothing. About two weeks later, I got a check in the mail for $100. I couldn’t believe I never got any follow up.The communication here is a massive problem and it seems like no one has a clue about what’s going on. I would never use this company again and I recommend you find someone else to do the job. They take zero responsibility for any action and could really use a hand in the customer service department.
INCREDIBLE! 10/10 recommend! The entire staff was attentive, helpful, & timely - from our visit in the store to installation & everything in between. We are thrilled with the outcome in our kitchen renovation!
Salespeople were very good, decent on time, tops look great. We will use again.
Zero star rating if I could have. Do not buy here! Stay clear and read other reviews, I had the same experience which was horrible. I picked my quartz counter, when they were coming to measure, the store manager, the measure tech and I all 3 had different times. I had to go to work so they failed. They came out again took less than 30 mins, said it would be installed 7 days after measure was done. They called, set a date, I tore my counters out to save money, I took a day off for installation. They sales girl and installer only communicate through text. They said my sink wasnt in. 4 weeks later I have no counters or updates. This has been 2 months. I left vm asking for a refund and cancel service. Sales girl responded 24 hrs later through a text and said my refund has been initiated. No phone call from her or a manager asking how to fix this to keep my business. Horrible, frustrating experience and now have to start the whole process over.
Horrible experience.Purchased new home,$400,000.00 plus, granite countertops from Inspiration were installed covered with dirty looking film over every square inch. Inspiration claims it came from their supplier that way and just showed “natural properties” of the stone. That was ridiculous,I have seen granite countertops in at least 20 other homes, none look remotely like mine. Everyone who enters our home, where the island is the focal point, asks what is all over my island.. They obviously have no quality control at all at Inspiration, whatever comes in from their supplier they send out for installation as long as it has no gouges or large nics in it. I would give 0 stars if possible, buyer BEWARE!
An outstanding experience - staff was very professional, knowledgeable & seemed interested in helping us make the best possible decision. Showroom was creative & helped to stimulate ideas. Would highly recommend.
Inspiration Design is absolutely horrible. They miss measured my countertops in 7 different areas. My oven is sitting in my dining room right now because they couldn’t manage a standard 30” opening. Paid an extra $250 for a digital design to ensure the veining would line up on my waterfalls and it’s not even close. The veining is off 5”! Messed up my floors, used 1/2 inch of caulk to fill in their mistakes. I could go on and on. They over charged me $2,357.22 and Allen’s response to make it right was to refund everything and come rip it all out leaving a family of four without a kitchen or bathroom. I just wanted to live with it as is Mistakes and all for a 50% discount. But this genius thinks it’s smarter to have a dissatisfied customer, inconvenience a family, and probably end up in court paying for emotional distress, hotels rooms so we have water, meals out because we don’t have our stove. Customer Service is a lost art. Save yourself....do not use Inspiration Design use a local company not a nationwide one who doesn’t care about their name or your satisfaction.
We are very happy with our kitchen countertop. We were looking for something unique and found it at Inspiration Design Center. Tori and Amber were very helpful...a great experience!! Thank you.
Worst company ever! Do not use them. Super expensive and take a huge deposit and then dont answer calls and messages to get counter installed. Its been 3 months since they took my money and I still cant get anyone to answer my calls to when the simple counter for the bathroom will be installed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Terrible customer service and even worse product, waited over 200 hundred days after several attempts to get them to fix our countertops and finally had to go with another company to completely tear out and start over, nothing was leveled or shimed which made the stone sag, avoid this comany at all cost.
Everything was perfect for me with this company. The sales person Tori was excellent and the product selection and prices were great. The installers also did a great job and l am very glad that l went with this company.
My friends will tell you that I am a particular person, yet Inspiration Design surpassed my expectations. I am thrilled with my kitchen counter. My home is over 100 years old and I was hesitant to install something that might look modern. I needed quite a bit of hand-holding throughout the project and Tori patiently supported me every step of the way. The work was done during the time of COVID and I was impressed with the extra safety measures that the company applied. Everyone was prompt, clean and efficient. I have a quartz countertop and the seams they created are flawless. The sink installation is clean and well-placed. There was an odd piece that had to be cut to accommodate the stove. They came back to manage that and now the stove looks built into the counter. Again, can’t say enough about Tori and her sales approach and knowledge. Should I ever need work in the future, I would go right back to Inspiration Design Center.
Im in love with my new custom granite counter tops from Inspiration Design Center. They took the time to work through every detail to ensure I was happy with the end product. Great workmanship and gorgeous end result. Id highly recommend the digital design process which helped me visualize the end result and ensure I got exactly what I wanted. Thank you Inspiration Design Center!
We worked with Inspiration Design Center when we finally decided to replace our kitchen and vanity countertops and we have nothing to say but good things about our experience. Tori was very thorough when we were discussing our options with her that we felt comfortable about going with them. Once the project started, Kristina always kept us in the loop with the progress. On installation day, their crew came as scheduled and left the place clean.
Everything looks great and we love the countertop. We had our counter put in October 2019. The seam was a little troublesome and needed to be fixed. We wanted to wait till after the Holidays to get it touched up. Steve came out and did an excellent job. Price and service were great. Thanks again Mary and Russell
Inspiration Design Center is a GREAT store to shop when you are remodeling your kitchen or bathroom! They were so helpful with the question I had! Burnsville store has Beautiful Displays.Their installers did an Awesome job! The photos I applied shows that Im still remodeling, but look how Gorgeous my countertops are that I purchased from Inspiration Design Center in Burnsville!LOVE it !...LOVE it !!...LOVE it !!!For sure I rate them a FIVE STARS & PLUS!!!
Working with Brittany and Clarissa exceeded our expectations. They both were knowledgable about the products Inspiration Design offers and gave us good advice in making our selections. We absolutely love the granite kitchen counters and quartz bathroom counters that were installed. The installation team (Drew and Elliot) were highly professional craftsmen and explained how to care for the finished product. We highly recommend Inspiration Design to anyone looking to remodel their kitchens and bathrooms!
The guy who came out and measured for my counter tops is the only one who did his job correct the first time. The engineers had to do 7 different drawings to get my simple kitchen layout correct. I had to argue with them to get support brackets for the overhang on my island, which in one corner was 35s, the max is 12s...... On there next trip for install they forgot the brackets and left... Tons of screw ups! I didnt get the color counter tops I ordered because someone didnt order materials. It took the installers 4 trips to my house to finish, over the course of a month. They made my dishwasher opening too small when they had correct dimensions and were told several times and I even made a spacer to make sure, and they threw it aside. They didnt have all the tools they needed and had to use mine to save trips. The one installer didnt know how to use a router. The list goes on....... I spoke to the manager twice who was supposed to help me threw this and comp. me for there screw ups and he wont return my calls now and flips me to voice mail. This by far was the worst experience Ive had with a vendor and would not recommend them to anyone. I never changed a thing from the first time I ordered my counter tops and only wanted what I paid for. Every time someone made a mistake, I was charged more money. After I paid for my counter tops and install, I had to pay another $834.00 to get the job finished. This is my 5th kitchen remodel and I come from a family and friends of builders and carpenters. Ive never had an issue as bad as this and I normally never write reviews like this. Hopefully someone in there company will see this and make some changes, so other people wont have to deal with what I did. Thank you for taking the time to reading this.As you can see the owner responded to my review, but never bothered to call. Still as of today his store manager (that I mentioned I contacted above several times) has NOT returned my call. Leaving a general polite response is nice, but does nothing to fix any issues. Any owner who truly cared would pick up the phone, make a call and make a difference.
Very smooth process from start to finish. The follow up call was nice to ensure everything went well and I was happy. Would highly recommend doing business with Inspiration Design.
Brian Larson was a great granite slab choice assistant - he went above and beyond by providing me with extra information and answered all my questions. He was also very patient with me while I wanted to just look at some extra slabs not for my viewing. Thanks again! I can’t wait to see my new countertops!
We ended up with a tight schedule. Inspiration came through for us. On price, product, service, delivery and installation these folks knocked it out of the park!! From the sales floor to my front door everyone was exceptional and followed through exactly as they said they would. Awesome!!! I will go out of my way to recommend them!!
My wife and I chose to use Inspiration for our new countertops in our kitchen. We had amazing service when working with Tori, our sales rep., and Kristina, our project manager. They were timely in their responses when we had questions and the approval process for the actual countertops was fantastic. We did shop around and received three other quotes but all of them came in higher in price or they also did not have the specific quartz countertop that we loved from Inspiration. The installation was scheduled a couple of weeks in advance and the install team came right on time and were done in an hour! Overall, it was a really great experience and couldn’t recommend them enough!
We decided to renovate our kitchen and replace our old laminate counter tops with Quartz. We ordered through Home Depot and were also going to have them install. They apparently use Inspiration Design to install quartz. They came out and measured the area and gave us an install date and time. The day before the install we received a call saying the counter tops were not in and we would have to reschedule to a later day. Over 2 more week we would have to wait. Finally the day came to install our new counter tops and the truck was loaded incorrectly. Apparently our counter tops ended up North of the cities and we live in Mankato. There is no way they can make it down to install, so now we have to reschedule again. Keep in mind we had to rip out our old counter tops, dishwasher, stove, back splash, and sink before install. So our kitchen is completely ripped apart with two small children. No offer of time reimbursement, only a generic apology. The worst part is we are leaving on a trip and my mother in-law is staying at our house with the kids. So i get to hook up all the appliances again and put our old counter tops back on so we have a sink, just so i can do it again when they decide to come back. Stay away from this company. Ill be making a call to Home Depot as well to make sure they know about this company. Worst service i have ever had.
After putting off replacing our old laminate countertops for years my wife finally won. I contacted Inspiration Design Center and met Calvin Nolte. From the very first meeting they understood what I wanted and needed and made to whole process smooth, easy and affordable. The excellent team of installers (Chris and Tim) were fantastic. The finished quartz product was beautiful and the fit was perfect. Then I noticed a problem that both the installers and myself had missed. I called Inspiration Design Center and explained the issue and they were fantastic. No hesitation, no phony excuses, no finger-pointing, they just got it fixed to my complete satisfaction. I spent my whole career in Customer Service so I have very high standards. Every person I dealt with, in person or on the phone exceeded my expectations. I cannot recommend them highly enough.Sid SchuylerEagan, MN.
The first time we contacted IDC, we received no response. At all. So we tried once more, as we really needed help with remodeling our kitchen and bathroom. We were then called over and over again by lead generators, even after we connected with one person and gave her the specifics of our project. After sending her the measurements of our spaces, we never heard back from anyone (her OR any lead generators) again. Something is definitely wrong with this company’s system of communication. Look elsewhere for your design needs!!
We purchased our Quartz counter-top through Lowes and it was Inspiration Design Center that sub-contracted the product. It was difficult understanding all the options available granite, quartz, etc., but were extremely pleased with final product and color choice we selected. Watching the installers from Inspiration Design Center install the counter-top looked like a lot of work as it was extremely heavy, but overall they did a great job. They had to work the seam extra hard as it was important to not have any ridge, but in the end they were able to make it look great. I especially appreciate Alan Braunshausen the Director of Operations as he went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied with the entire process from start to finish.
This morning, Jesus and Enrico installed our wonderful kitchen countertops! They did a fabulous job in ensuring the fit and finish of the countertops complemented our cabinetry. The seams are virtually invisible! We are very appreciative of their prompt, professional and courteous service. Also, a big shout out to Project Manager Kristina Mehus for her efforts in successfully coordinating and communicating with us in ensuring the experience was successful!
Avoid this place at all costs. We found two remnant quartz slabs that worked perfectly for our two bathrooms (complete remodel), then after several weeks waiting were informed they broke one of our slabs...two days before install. But thats not even the worst part. They refused to take ownership of their mistake, instead passing on the problem to us, their customer. Our options were to accept a counter spliced out of two pieces, pick a completely different remnant/color, or pay for an entire new slab of the color we wanted (tripling our cost). None of these were remotely acceptable...we just wanted the color we picked, for the price we agreed to. When we told them this, they cancelled both counters instead of at least installing the one they hadnt broken (not sure what theyre going to do with a piece of quartz that has already been fabricated...throw it away?). Completely inappropriate and unethical. So in a matter of two days we went from being excited to (finally) have finished bathrooms, to having no plan for counters, through no fault of ours. What kind of business does this to people? Certainly not one with any morals or concern for their customers.
Every step of the way, from choosing granite to in-home measurements to installation, Inspiration Design Center provided a great experience. I highly recommend Brian, Katie, Kristina and the installation guys at Inspiration Design Center!
The installers did an excellent job, what was poor was the contact time from the project manager who wouldnt return my calls due to the incorrect sink being installed. Also stated that I would have to pay the difference to reinstall the counter... I feel bad for the people that installed because they had to deal with individuals not capable of doing their jobs. Elliot has avoided contacting the retail store I purchased my counter top from to get a game plan on how to correct the sink issue they messed up on....
Ryan & Cody were very efficient & courteous. They know their job and do it well. They did their job in a timely manner and they explained what they were doing and did a great job cleaning up after. We would highly recommend them!
This is our third project with Inspiration. We have had Brian Fox on all three and he is amazing. Great communicator, can do darned near anything, is efficient, pleasant and cleans up after his work (and often after others as well!). He is a great asset to Inspiration and we were always happy to see him coming to work on something. We were also really happy with our plumber, Alex Brewer. He was efficient, personable (who wants grumpy tradespeople in your house?) and helped solve a couple of logistics issues for us. Another asset for Inspiration! The design for our bathroom was innovative and elegant, thanks to Theresa, our designer. She really pulled together all the colors and textures and was a pleasure to work with. And Scott was the person we called when there were problems. We did have issues with the tiling subcontractor which is why this review is four stars instead of five. But Scott kept after them to get things fixed and did his best to keep them on schedule. It is all good now, but I encourage people to call your project manager the minute there is a problem. They cant fix or follow-up what they dont know about. We have a beautiful up-to-the-minute bathroom that we enjoy every time we go into it.
We received the worst customer service I have ever experienced from Brittany at Inspiration Design Center. I am both personally offended and appalled at her behavior. We quoted out a butlers pantry countertop to match the stone in our kitchen. Inspiration Design Center is the only store that carries this particular stone. We were initially quoted both material and labor, then told they would not install the stone because it was too small of a job. Brittany told us the material minimum was $500, which we were willing to pay even though we were originally quoted far less. We offered to pick up the stone ourselves. She then changed her story and told us the minimum was $750, and that we werent a good fit. Her behavior was unprofessional, rude, and lacking in customer service. Extremely disappointed.
We were not as lucky as all the other reviewers. We went through all the preparations and signed a contract with Inspiration, because they took care of everything. The day they were to start, I received an email telling me they had made a mistake and my job would cost an additional $3,000. I spoke with Steve McDonald, and after many conversations I suggested we come in and start over. He assured me we would get an $1186 discount for all of our trouble, although he stated many times during our conversations that he never gives a discount. We received our invoice, but it was not broken down telling us how much the tile was, the granite, and the labor and of course the subsequent discount we were to get. All of a sudden the $8000 job turned into a $9000 job, but they still could not show me how it was all broken down. When we first signed our contract the price was $5000. When my accountant asked for an accounting I got every run around in the book. Something about this being proprietary information. Unfortunately during all of these conversations the job was started, a month later than originally planned. The job was completed with damage to our new stove and dishwasher. The tile placed around our fireplace has broken tiles that were filled in with grout. Supposedly they will be fixing the stove and dishwasher, but the wall that was damaged is our responsibility, and we will be getting a visit from their tile specialist who will be explaining how this is how the tile is. We have an extra box, and that is not the case. Had the installer just picked another batch. I still have not gotten the break-down and I dont expect that I will. Dealing with these people has been a very bad experience and I would suggest if you are thinking of using them, think again. There are much better outfits to deal with, who will honor their word, and provide what was promised.UPDATE: We are now in January. They came back and fixed the tiles around the fireplace, as best as they could. They called Sears to order a replacement stove top, as well as a replacement dishwasher plate that was also ruined during the installation of the counter top. I figured I got screwed, but at least they came and fixed (as best they could) what they had wrecked. I am still waiting on an itemized invoice. Last month I received a bill from Sears for the stove top. We contacted Inspiration that day and were assured the bill would be taken care of. Today, we received a second notice.I DONT KNOW HOW CLEARER I CAN BE. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY.
I couldnt be happier with the experience I had with Inspiration Design Center. They did a complete granite kitchen countertop install for me in a difficult custom kitchen layout. They were with me all the way making sure that I was happy with the design, materials, and accessories I provided. Our sales rep Cassidy went the extra mile to make sure the experience was enjoyable. I would highly recommend.
Inspiration Design Center did a fantastic job with my bathroom remodel! The Quartzite countertop fabrication and install was top notch; and the plumbing service was superior. I would highly recommend IDC.
I called twice last week to get a quote on a remnant that we would pick up. I was told both times the salesperson would give me a call, that was five days ago, and I’ve never heard anything- so they must not be interested in business.
Kyle and Gabe both exceeded my expectations. Between Kyles carpentry and design ideas and Gabes specialty in granite, my kitchen has turned out absolutely beautiful! They were both a pleasure to work with and answered all my questions. Would definitely hire them again! thank you!
We are building a new house through stone cottage construction and your company provided the worst granite countertop for our kitchen island. We cut our hands multiple times because of how rough the edges are on the kitchen island. The kitchen island granite top has to be defective and needs to be replaced. None of the other granite pieces in the kitchen are like this. This needs to get resolved immediately. Beware this company will provide you unsafe products that will harm you or your family.
We had Justin E and Dascon (? on the spelling) as installers. They did a wonderful job. They knew their business. If we had a questions they had a answer. The job was done fast and efficient. We give them the highest praise. Would for sure call them again.
Bar none the nicest showroom I have seen yet. The Designer we worked with was top notch. They stuck to their price and delivered a quality product in our new kitchen and we couldnt be happier. Dont believe some of these reviews you read. Go in and talk to someone at Inspiration Im sure you will have a great experience.
I have worked with IDC now on 3 separate projects, 1 in 2018 and 2 in 2019. I have been very pleased with their pricing and overall product. They do have extended installation dates and my one service issue took some time to be replaced, but I have always had succes in the end. If you are not on a tight timeline and want a good product for a great price try out IDC!
Unfortunately updating my review, upon further inspection of the counter we ran into a few issues. The hole for the sink is not centered, there was a chip in the counter, a seam that is very noticeable and a different color than the others. And the biggest issue is the brackets to the breakfast bar. With barely any pressure put on it the whole breakfast bars moves a lot. The brackets do not hold it up and it is dangerous as we have a young child and that is a very heavy piece of quartz. Not only did we have to wait 2 weeks after install to get someone to come try and fix the issues We now have to wait to actually get it fixed for another couple of weeks. We had our installer coming to do our backsplash this weekend and was the only time he could do it for a while. Now we can’t get that done because of the counter not being finished. We are not very impressed with the way Clarissa is handeling the situation.
So far...horrible experience. We had countertops installed through inspiration and all I can say is I am extremely disappointed! The island granite slab that was installed is all chipped and the edges are not finished correctly. The edges are so sharp that I cut my finger- not acceptable! I don’t understand how anyone who was apart of the cutting, delivery or installation process thought this was even remotely acceptable. Clearly there is little to no care that goes into the quality of their work and the assurance that their customers are satisfied. Hopefully we can get this resolved, but as of right now...not feeling hopeful.
Bought countertops for my kitchen and bathroom and them! Bathroom top had some difficult cuts and they made it fit perfectly!
Isaiah came, with a crew, to install our quartz . He was very professional and did a great job. They were very respectful to the fact that we had new wood floors and cabinets and ensured everything was well taken care of. The entire crew was friendly.
Brian Fox provided excellent service throughout the walk through portion of our remodeling project. He was concerned about the work performed by other members of Inspiration Design Center team. At the conclusion of his work he cleaned up the work site and answered all of our questions. We are pleased with Inspiration Design Center and the many staff persons who helped bring this project to conclusion.
Beware - take your project and $$ elsewhere. Inspiration Design Center does not stand behind their workmanship and make it right for the customer. My project was solid surface counter tops - poor seam on the edge.If they dont stand behind this work - will they stand behind any other service they offer??
Andrew and team did an exceptional job, were very professional and went above and beyond with our installation. I would recommend them if you want a job well done and attention to detail. Thanks team!
Terrible experience!! We ordered counter tops through Home Depot in March. They werent installed correctly until August. We lost 8 days of work due to 2 install days, errors, supervisors coming over to evaluate the poor job, they hired a plumber to reinstall our kitchen plumbing - the plumber left half way through the job to get screws from his van and never returned. The list is endless... We were hopeful after the 2nd install, the installers took their time and the counter tops were satisfactory. The final blow was the installers damaged our wood floors - put double 3 foot long scratches in the middle of our floor from pulling out the stove without protecting the floor. The installer admitted they caused the damage - he was apologetic. Now the main office wont return our emails to rectify the damage to our floors. Weve been trying to contact them for over a month. Contrary to the response from the company below...we did not resolve the issue to our satisfaction. We still have ruined wood floors and an upgraded seam in our countertop you can see from 10 feet away...looks terrible. The minimal amount of compensation hardly covers what we were left with. We only accepted what they offered because we werent going to get anything more and we just wanted to be done after months and months of frustration.
This place had no one inside upon arrival. Took a look around and was approached by a snooty lady who I found out was named Tory. Had no knowledge about cabinets nor types of granite they offered. Extremely rude unprofessional would not recommend.
We are very happy with our granite counter tops, back splash, under cabinet / above cabinet lights, new faucet and single basin undermount sink. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Brian Fox. He was a punctual individual, who was respectful, knowledgeable, eager to please and resourceful. No matter what the task, he did an excellent job.
Andrew did a very professional installation of my granite counter top. The crew knew what they were doing and left my kitchen very clean at the end of the job. They were running a little late and made sure to give me a call and give me an update. I very much appreciated the update. I was very impressed with the quality service I received on the install.
Not a good experience. They sent a rep to our home to give us a quote on re-facing some kitchen cabinets and a center island. He never took one measurement, did not bring samples, and spent most of the time trying to determine how much we could afford to put into the project and who we were getting other bids from. He ultimately told us the project would cost roughly $12,000 – $13,000 – again, this is for non-real-wood re-facing and this was without taking one measurement. I told him we would not be doing business with his firm. Two hours later a rep from another company came in, calmly counted cabinet doors and drawer-fronts, took some measurements, and e-mailed us a detailed written quote later that same evening that was way less than the amount stated to us earlier in the day by Inspirations rep. Not once did the second rep ask who else we were getting bids from or how much we could afford to spend. He simply told us what it would cost for his workers to do the job that we were asking to have done. The experience we had with these two reps could not have been more different. If you are considering using “Inspiration,” my advice is to proceed with caution.
I am very happy with my granite counter tops, tile back splash and under cabinet lighting. All of the installers were fantastic, very professional and a pleasure to work with. Everything looks great! However, the service in the office was not good and it was extremely unorganized. 5 stars for the installers. 2.5 stars for the office.
Incredibly happy with our granite and install. Paul and his team was fantastic, quick and professional. The counter tops were installed flawlessly. Would highly recommended Inspiration Design Center and their installers for any granite work.
Inspiration has a really good contractor/builder program. My company recently had IDC provide & install a countertop for some clients & they did a great job. The entire project went smoothly from getting the initial quote to install. Communication was excellent throughout the whole process. We will continue to use them for our solid slab countertop projects.
Justin E and Paul came in and did a great job on our countertop. The guys went over and above to complete the job. Fully recommend Inspiration design for your next project.
After having a new countertop installed this summer, there seemedto be a problem with my stove vent. I contacted David A., who hadbeen my sales rep. He promptly forwarded my concern to the servicedept.A very quick response from Brian Fox, of the service dept. Brianwas able to assess the problem and competently make the necessarycorrections.Professional and knowledgeable. Thanks!
Andrew was very professional. He and his crew were efficient and did quality work. They also did a great job cleaning up after they were through.
Worst experience ever. We purchased countertops in March and it is now September and we are still without countertops. So far they have made two trips to measure and three trips for installation (at no fault of ours) and have taken no responsibility for their mistakes & inconveniences. After 5 visits in 6 months, you would think we could surely receive a discount of some sort or at least expedited service, but nothing other than apologies & empty promises. Completely unacceptable service.
Pay good money want quality work ? Not here RUN RUN RUN . They do not work with you on any problems . I personal have not had work done but I have heard from more than one person the way they do business. Just a WARNING ⚠️
Andrew, Isaiah, and Colton performed the installation of our granite countertops. They were professional, clean, and courteous. They took great pride in the their work and made sure that all pieces fit perfectly by making adjustments as needed. The perimeter needed to be in 2 pieces and the visibility of the seam was of concern for us. Andrew did such a spectacular job on the seam that it is only noticed when we search for it.GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, this place has really changed. Previously did two projects with them and now there is a new business model in place that in my opinion is just awful. Check out their competitors, which blow these people out of the water on service and cost now. It was a complete waste of our time meeting with Inspiration Design. Sad to see a place going downhill.
A pretty clunker. The first appointment they walked us around to look at slabs and note choices i liked. I asked for price and they dont tell you the price until they do measurement. They were late doing the measurement by an hour and late 1/2 hour to show my the quote. The designer only showed me my top three most expensive granite slabs and proceeded to tell me my list that I made of choices for granite they did not have until I made her ask the front desk for it. She got the list and I still had to ask her twice to show me the slabs from the original list. The designer was rude and lazy. The quote was done only for what she wanted me to see. They add all these extras in the quote, made it high and all I wanted was the darn granite. I didnt want fancy lights, sinks and all the extras. They left a poor taste in our mouths. We did not go with them even though the quote was affordable but above others we had. Very poor experience.
I looked at several firms when I remodeled my kitchen and Inspiration Design Center provided the best design and product choices for the project. Walls were moved and new cabinets, counters, flooring, lights and appliances were installed. Angela, Amy, Scott, Brian, Kyle and the rest of the team did a fantastic job on the entire project. I found everyone at IDC to be professional, courteous and willing to go the extra mile to ensure the job was completed perfectly. I am forever grateful for my beautiful kitchen transformation and highly recommend IDC.
Paul was on time. He was very informative and sat with me on the procedure. He was quick, professional and clean. Paul and his partner installed the granite tops and sinks. They were in and out in flying colors. I will definitely use them again!!! Also, Lance put in the tile back splash. Lance was great he also was clean, quick and funny. We will definitely use them again!!! Thank you from Evan & Joan.
We have nothing but great things to say about Mike K. and ALL of the staff at the Inspiration Design Center. Mike K. went ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY IN MANY AREAS WHILE WORKING IN OUR HOME!Keep up the great customer service and we will be back and also feel VERY comfortable in referring IDC to our family and friends.
The name of this business misleads you to believe that this is a design center. It is a place to buy expensive materials for your bathroom or kitchen to look good. The materials are very high quality, especially the granite and marble. We did granite and the quality of the materials is great. This is the second time we purchased from them, out of convenience (10 minute drive). Here are a few highlights of our experience:a. Communication: I started by setting up a request for information on the website. Three days later nobody called me. My wife and I had to literally show up at the store to get help. Once this starts, there is no single point of contact for your customer experience. You deal with a designer first, then wait an eternity for the project manager to contact you to confirm schedule, then there is an email for you to approve the drawings, if you want to reach out it takes forever to get someone to pickup the phone and finally they send you an installation appointment. In our case, it took 30 calendar days from our first visit to the installation appointment, which to me seems a little long for three pieces of granite with standard cuts. During this time, my average wait time was 10 minutes on the line, and not always I got the answer I needed. They share the call taking service with GenzRyan, so they treat the customer that needs plumbing service just like they treat the guy who spends $50 grand on stone. On the day of the installation, they do not call you in advance. They just show up.b. Pricing: It is a bit expensive compared to shopping around, but our limited time forced us to go with the convenience and previous experience. $2,300 for three pieces of granite with standard cuts, no demolition or removal of old counter-tops (we took care of it) and nothing special may be a bit high.c. Installation: Typically you need two guys to install the larger pieces of granite. Only one showed up, mentioned that the other guy had a stupid thing, installed the first two and then we waited until the other guy showed up. An install should take less than an hour and ours took much longer than that because of waiting for the second guy. I need to highlight the fact that the installers are the hardest workers in the industry. They are the ones who are the proudest to work for IDC. Very courteous, polite and clean.d. Other: The Design Consultant is an order taker, who will focus on selling you the more expensive products in the line, and not really help you with advice. They will crawl to return you a call, but the payments will be collected with promptness and accuracy and they will not care about reminding you. You only get an email confirming the payment 6 hours after the fact. Will we do business with IDC again? Honestly we are not sure. We got plain service and the experience was nothing special. 30 days wait time for granite in inventory is a long cycle to wait. The quality of the stone is very high, but I am pretty sure there are other companies that sell similar quality have a much higher customer focus and willing to care a bit more about returning calls. Maybe they make a boatload of money and that is why my $2,300 project is probably nothing for them.
Blake was awesome. He did a great job and gave us some good tips on caring for granite counter tops.
Stay away!! Poor customer service and poor workmanship!!! Our first clue should have been the fact that we waited in the entryway of the Showroom for 20 solid minutes before being acknowledged by anyone. Once we were noticed, we were advised to make an appointment and come back. Unfortunately, we did just that. The quote we were given for the items we choose (granite, sink, and fixture) was much lower than the price we paid. We were given a delivery date 3 weeks longer than they quoted us. Once the delivery guys came, they left because they were unable to install due to a pony wall issue we were told by the measuring guy was not an issue. We were given another install date, but that date came and went without install. When we called to inquire, we were told we never set that date with you. (What, we pulled that date out of the air?) After many attempts to get another install our granite counters were finally installed. To our horror, there is a seam in a VERY obvious place on the peninsula---no other company would put a seam where this one is located. Stay far far away from this company. We ended up paying more and got bad customer service and poor final product to show for it.
Got great design options and help from Lauren. Thorough professional with knowledge in kitchen countertops.
If I can give zero stars I would. This company installed granite countertops in my mothers kitchen. First off they didnt allow for enough space for the oven. Corners were not finished correctly. Granite wasnt sealed correctly either. They also did a terrible job with the island countertop. They scratched up our stainless steel backsplash when installing. This was all done in nov 2018. No one would address these problems. Appointments were scheduled then rescheduled then rescheduled again with no one even showing up. I had to bring another company in to fix these problems and cut a big enough opening for the oven to be installed. Oven was finally installed in Feb 2019! The company I brought in has 40 plus years of experience and they said theyve never seen a granite job installed so poorly. Its been over a month now trying to figure out a refund. My mother cant even enjoy her newly remodeled kitchen since every time she looks at it, she gets mad! Maybe someone from inspiration design center will take the time to read this, also I would like to invite the managers and/or owner to come out to see how unfortunate our granite looks. No one would ever want this in their kitchen.
Very friendly and helpful. Loved the slab warehouse choices!
PAUL IS A PERFECTIONIST & WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH HIS WORK! ALL THE PEOPLE WE DEALT WITH AT INSPIRATION DESIGN CENTER WERE SUPER TO WORK WITH!!!
Scott S. was very professional, thorough and patient in helping us pick out our counter tops. It was refreshing to experience that level of customer service in todays world.
Kitchen remodel, new counter tops, tile back splash, and flooring. I also had the soffit removed. Work was done on time and on budget. Thanks to Chris, Scott,Brian, Scott, Denise, Scott, Brian, and Kyle for turning this dream into a reality.
Where do I even start! Stay clear!1st visit, we put a deposit down on a granite slab which we were told this would hold the slab.2nd visit, We go there to order a piece of granite for our bathroom and pay for our slab for our kitchen island. They switched systems and could find our information or the money we put down and the slab we picked out was gone! We are ordering our bathroom granite price for our vanity and they have $1000 job minimum. When we were talking she said our bill was a little over a $1000 I asked how since it was reminant piece at a much lower cost, the salesperson was adding a warranty of $400 to get us at the $1000 minimum..... I said why would we waste $400 so we I said to upgrade our sinks. That made me feel very uneasy that she was just adding this warranty without even discussing it with us. So had I not questioned it we would have had no idea!Manager: conversation with Tera about the money we lost and the granite piece we lost. I was told they would keep an eye out for larger reminant pieces and she would return my call Friday. I’m still waiting for that call to this day!Install: they two guys that came our were wonderful and did a great job!Plumber comes to our house to install the facets. The one sink out of two is defective.Call them to discuss this issue. I’m told they would like pictures and they will let me know. I get a call from their plumber company wanting to come out to look at it. I said it needs to be after 5 pm because my husband needs to be home to explain the issue. No one from inspiration design called me to tell me that they were having a third party come to my house to validate the pictures I sent.I called inspiration design and said I want the sink replaced and that if they want a third party to come out they can do it on our time. It’s a simple call to Koehler to get a new sink, it’s not going to cost them anything to replace a sink that is bad! Instead let’s continue to provide horrible customer service.I will never do business with this company again nor will I order our granite for our kitchen or master bath through them. There customer service is what will prevent me from ever stepping foot in this store. Everything else could have easily been resolved had they kept their word and made follow up calls to their customer. They won’t be in business to the public long if this is how they plan to continue their customer service. The Barnett’s
Excellent help and knowledgeable staff!
Blake W, did an amazing job touching up our granite, very knowledgeable and professional.
