Came here in the morning with my girlfriend. We saw Overwinter coffee on Instagram but never end up being downtown in the morning usually. We stopped in for the first time and I got a large Americano and my girlfriend got a large Mocha iced coffee. We both loved our drinks, the girl working there was friendly and has great customer service. This is currently our new favourite coffee spot! There was some nice jazzy music on. Reminded me of Cafe LeBlanc from Persona 55/5 👍
Coffee is awesome. If you really love coffee Overwinter has amazing uniquely sourced beans unlike any other coffee concept Ive tried. As I understand it, they purchase beans that have gone through a special drying process that helps them pick up interesting fruity notes, bringing something different than just the typical location-soil based variety options of specialty coffee.
Ive been getting coffee here since they opened a few years ago. The coffee is great, and the staff are really friendly. I enjoy it enough that I still make the half mile walk for a cup of coffee during my lunch break in the dead of winter.
My first time here. Good coffee (regular), and a very pleasant worker.
Coffee isnt quite good. Limited options. Baristas arent pleasant to order from. Better off going to Starbucks. Baked good are also stale.
Coffee is delicious (double check the hours before you go)
Love overwinter!! I’ve been to all three locations and it is my favorite! Wish there was a location in Lancaster, elma, east Aurora area!!!
The best coffee I have ever had. It was smooth, rich and delicious. In short, Overwinter made the simple act of drinking a cup of coffee into an expierience. This location has a pleasant atmosphere and employees were knowledgeable and friendly. If you want a break from the misery of 2020, go to Overwinter Coffee and escape for a moment.
Tiny little place with a few seats inside and a few seats outside. Don’t expect a big Starbucks-y menu, but if you just want a good coffee drink, this place does not disappoint. I had the blueberry pour over, and it was delicious. And that little arctic animal (fox?) logo...how can you not love that? I’ll absolutely go back next time I’m in town.
Girl working the counter was helpful (I know very little about coffee) and explained everything well as I decided what I wanted. Even offered to make something not on the menu. Coffee was great and service was fast and felt safe/clean.
Excellent Jasmine tea. Oat milk in their latte is a great choice as well.
Best coffee shop in Buffalo in my opinion. Its a great small business run by very friendly people. The menu is all pretty basic stuff, but they do everything perfectly! I usually get a pour over. They roast all their own beans and have several different varieties you can try which are all unique and all really good. They also have pastries which are quite good (I recommend the plop tarts)!
I absolutely love the coffee from here! I don’t live in Buffalo I actually live in Virginia but I had heard the coffee was worth ordering online, and oh my that was an understatement! This coffee is worth purchasing the subscription that you can get replacement coffee before you run out. My absolute favorite would be the strawberry flavor, surprisingly my husband even enjoyed it and he’s quite the exacting person when it comes to coffee.
First visit. Compact coffee counter with friendly, skilled, and efficient barista. Small outdoor area in front with pleasant cafe tables. Coffee was delicious. Very good COVID distancing arrangement. Will return.
Visited on a Wednesday I think. Prices are reasonable. Menu is like a cafe in Indianapolis I loved.
Friendly walk up service, with excellent advice provided by barista.Big Squeeze pour over was delicious. Only complaint is that $5.00 price tag seems a little stiff. Covid-19 effect?
Espresso here is good, not phenomenal, but the pourover is amazing. I always take my coffee black and this pourover tastes fruity and sweet and full of flavor. A lot of places make really weak pourover (more like a trendy thing to offer than knowing what theyre doing) so Im always nervous about ordering one but the guy here has it down. Its rich and full bodied and I love it.
Im so glad I found this coffee shop. Im from out of town so its fun, but sometimes hit and miss when I search for specialty coffee in the cities I visit. This is not the kind of shop you come to to set up shop with your laptop and work for the day, but if youre looking for incredible specialty coffee this is the place you have to try. I went with a pour over of their slippery slope option which is from Kenya. It costs an extra $1.50, but wow the flavors Im getting out of this cup are incredible. I think bags of this coffee were going for about $25 or so... Not your typical coffee. They use a Melitta pour over brewer, which gave me a perfectly clean, clear and bright coffee. I didnt try any, but they also offer fresh baked goods and treats as well. If I come back to town I will definitely return to this shop.
I did not expect to find a gem like this in Buffalo. Small and low-key, they focus on quality roasted single source coffee. They roast their own and they sell it by the bag as well. I had a pour over recommended by the owner. Nice selection and a friendly place. $3.26 for a quality pour over is right where it should be. You cant beat a small local place like this!
Overwinter is my favorite coffee in Buffalo, likely favorite anywhere. Staff is extremely friendly and the delivery service for coffee beans is hand-delivered by the owner -- which is phenomenal (even though Id prefer to get it in-house). Cant recommend a better coffee shop
Very nice place for your coffee fix. The owners are very friendly and have a true love for coffee. It shows when they explain why they started the business, and how they explain the coffee process. This is a small shop, so seating is very minimal. If your not at the rush hours, (8am, noon) you can sit at the window(4 seats) and even sit outside (2 tables) and enjoy people watching. My wife ordered their pour over coffee and enjoyed it very much. In fact, she was very impressed that it was not bitter. I had the chai tea latte, and normally I have it hot. This time I had it cold, because they are out of stock of oat milk. So I had it with almond milk, and I must say it was very good.
Great place for a quick cup of real coffee. Tons of options. Their teas are great and they always seem to have a stock of adorable pins
Hands down the best coffee in Buffalo. Consistently roasted and consistently prepared by a welcoming staff. As a former coffee professional, I always find myself looking for an excuse to drive through downtown so I can stop for a cup.
Really good café latte, the best I had in my four days in Buffalo. Too bad I didnt had the chance to go more often. I bit expensive for what Im used to pay but it seem to be the right price for Buffalo.
Cold brew was smooth and bold. Went a little heavy on the ice, but I like mine with a strong flavor! Great price for cold brew.
Best iced latte I’ve ever had. The guys make homemade vanilla with no artificial flavoring, makes the coffee like no other! No sticky sugary after taste. Super friendly guys working really hard.. go here or you are missing out!!!
Easily the best coffee shop in Buffalo.A small, quaint shop with speedy service and amazing coffee. Centrally located in the citys downtown, theres a drink for everyone. All that plus a very fair price ratio and staff who care about their product, Overwinter is a Must Stop for any coffee lover.
Tiny coffee joint with huge taste. Best coffee Ive had in Buffalo.
Best iced pour over. Barista was extremely friendly! We will be back if whenever we stop in Buffalo.
Legit. Didnt know this place existed until recently and am quite happy that I stopped in. Amazing coffee at reasonable prices with knowledgeable and friendly owners. Highly recommended. Give these guys your money.
Great little coffee shop. Well equipped and skilled barista brewing great cups of coffee. Don’t leave without a Plop Tart.

Great spot downtown. Good drinks, very friendly people.
Great little coffee shop tucked away downtown. Wonderful coffee and awesome owners.
John the barista is the coolest person Ive ever met. A++ service.
Ben, the owner/barista, was friendly and helped me pick the perfect cup. I had an iced pourover of “the easy drinker” roast. Cute shop with a lovely atmosphere, central location, and delightful coffee. I will be back!
This cafe provides a real city feel, aesthetically pleasing decor + friendly and knowledgeable owners. The coffee selections are great, having tried the easy drinker and their “blueberry” over ice.
Had a excellent coffee as an espresso and iced pour-over.
I like the atmosphere of the place. The iced latte I had was very smooth👌 They are a little expensive but overall great new coffee shop ☕
